  • Tyler Higbee Doesn't See Target In Week 12

Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee made no catches in the Rams' 10-26 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Higbee (knee) was limited at practice this past week but ended up suiting up. His playing time was limited, however. He was on the field for 59% of the first team snaps and ran only 10 routes. He was not targeted once. With more time to recover and the likely return of QB Matthew Stafford, Higbee could do better in Week 13 against the Seattle Seahawks.

  • Tyler Higbee Officially Active Sunday

Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee (knee) is officially active for Week 12 against the Kansas City Chiefs. He had been listed as questionable after logging a limited practice on Friday. Higbee is in line for an expanded role with Cooper Kupp (ankle) and Allen Robinson II (ankle) sidelined. Even with Bryce Perkins expected to quarterback the Rams, Higbee should be viewed as a mid-to-low TE1 purely based on volume.

  • Allen Robinson, Tyler Higbee Questionable For Week 12

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Allen Robinson (ankle) and tight end Tyler Higbee (knee) are officially questionable to play against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 12. It's also unclear if Matthew Stafford (concussion/neck) will play, so there are plenty of reasons to be concerned for the Rams' offense -- beyond just what has transpired this season thus far. If Stafford plays, Robinson and Higbee could have some PPR value, since the Rams will likely be playing from behind, but both are far from high-end fantasy assets at this point in the season. The ceilings and floors of both guys are significantly lower than expected, regardless of who is at quarterback for Sean McVay.

  • Tyler Higbee, Allen Robinson II Limited Thursday

Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee (knee) and wide receiver Allen Robinson II (ankle) were both listed as limited on the team's estimated practice report on Thursday. It's the second straight limited tag for Robinson, while Higbee gets an upgrade after not practicing on Wednesday. Higbee and Robinson both appear to be on the right side of questionable to play in Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs, but we'll know more on their statuses on Friday. If Higbee cannot play or is limited, Brycen Hopkins would be in line to start for the Rams. If Robinson is limited at all or out on Sunday, Van Jefferson and Ben Skowronek would be the team's clear top two receivers. Nobody in the Rams offense will have much upside with quarterback Bryce Perkins expected to make his first career start in Kansas City.

  • Tyler Higbee Could See High Volume In Week 12

Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee could see a large volume of targets in the Rams' Week 12 road matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Rams are without WR Cooper Kupp, and the Chiefs opponents throw the ball often after falling behind. The Chiefs are allowing 37.7 passing attempts per game, second-most in the NFL. The Rams are throwing the ball 35.2 times per game, and Higbee is their second-leading target behind Kupp. While the Rams' quarterback situation is concerning, Higbee has the potential to amass double-digit targets and finish as a TE1.

  • Allen Robinson II Limited, Tyler Higbee Doesn't Practice

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Allen Robinson II (ankle) was limited, while tight end Tyler Higbee (knee) missed Wednesday's practice. Robinson was added to the injury report with an ankle issue. He caught four of five targets for 47 yards and one touchdown in his first game without star wide receiver Cooper Kupp. Robinson is expected to be the Rams' top wideout but will catch passes from John Wolford or Bryce Perkins with Matthew Stafford (concussion) ruled out in Week 12. Higbee is dealing with an ankle injury after hauling in four catches (on eight targets) for 45 yards in last Sunday's loss to the Saints. If active, Higbee is considered a borderline TE1 against the Chiefs in Week 12.

  • Tyler Higbee Makes Four Catches On Eight Targets

Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee caught four passes for 45 yards in the Rams' 20-27 loss to the New Orleans Saints. In the absence of top WR Cooper Kupp, Higbee was targeted eight times but could only haul in half of those passes. The 29-year-old made a big 20-yard third-down conversion late in the fourth quarter to set up a field goal, but the game was already out of reach for LA by then. Higbee will remain an important part of the Rams' offense as they go to Kansas City in Week 11.

  • Tyler Higbee Set For High Volume In Tough Matchup

Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee faces a tough matchup in Week 11 against the New Orleans Saints but could have a big game. The Saints defense has done well at defending tight ends so far this season. They have allowed just a 53.7% completion percentage when opposing tight ends are targeted, and they have allowed the third-fewest receiving yards to tight ends of any team. Saints LBs Demario Davis and Pete Werner are pretty good in pass coverage. While Higbee's matchup is a tough one, he should be in line for a boatload of targets. Higbee typically gets the ball thrown his way when the rest of the team is struggling. That could be the case in the Rams' first game without Cooper Kupp since the 2021 playoffs. Higbee has finished as a top 15 TE six times this season and has a good chance to do so again.

  • Tyler Higbee Leads Rams In Receiving In Week 10

After a lackluster past three weeks, Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee was the bright spot in the offense in the 27-17 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Higbee secured all eight of his targets for 73 yards, pacing the way in targets and yards. With receiver Cooper Kupp's status up in the air following an apparent ankle injury, Higbee should be started in all formats moving forward. If Kupp misses games moving forward, Higbee could be one of the team's most targeted pass-catchers yet again.

  • Tyler Higbee Could Bounce Back In Week 9

Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee faces the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 9. The 29-year-old is having his best year since 2019, but he has been off his past two games. In the past two games, Higbee has only had three catches for 22 yards. One reason is because his snap count is down from over 90% to about 70%. TE Brycen Hopkins, who returned from a three-game suspension in Week 6, is eating into Higbee's snaps. The Bucs defense allows the fourth-most fantasy points to tight ends, so this could be a good bounce back game for Higbee.

  • Tyler Higbee Makes Two Catches, Briefly Leaves Game

Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee caught two passes for 15 yards in the Rams' 14-31 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. His snap rate has decreased from over 90% in the first five games of the season to 78% in Week 6 and approximately 70% this week. He had to head to the locker room after suffering a neck injury on a first down catch during the Rams' first quarter scoring drive. He came back at the beginning of the second quarter. After a productive start to the season driven by a massive target share, Higbee has only made three catches in the last two games. Both games have featured relatively more productive showings from Rams WR Allen Robinson II. If Higbee has a larger role in the Rams offense when the Rams secondary WR isn't making anything happen, then the apparent emergence of Robinson might not be good for his fantasy value.

  • Tyler Higbee Returns To Sunday's Game Versus 49ers

Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee (neck) returned to Sunday's matchup against the Niners. He briefly exited due to the neck issue. However, Higbee's back in the game, which is good news for Matthew Stafford, especially when presented with Red Zone opportunities.

  • Tyler Higbee Has TE1 Potential In Week 8

Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee could be in line for a big game in Week 8, as the Rams take on the division rival San Francisco 49ers. The last time Higbee faced the Rams in Week 4, he caught ten passes for 73 yards to finish as the TE4 in PPR. Higbee is targeted more often when the Rams offense struggles to get going and WRs aren't opened. That's what happened last time the Rams played the Niners and when the Rams played other top defenses, the Bills and the Cowboys. It is likely to happen again, making Higee a high-end TE1 option in Week 8.

  • Tyler Higbee Targeted Just Twice In Win

Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee caught one of two targets for seven yards in the Rams' 24-10 victory over the Carolina Panthers. It was his worst statistical output all season and only his third game without ten or more targets. Higbee tends to be targeted more often against tougher opponents that shutdown the rest of the Rams offense. In the Rams' three wins, two of which have come against teams that missed the playoffs last season, Higbee is averaging 4.7 targets, 4.0 receptions, and 46.3 yards. In the Rams' three losses, all of which came at the hands of playoff teams, Higbee is averaging 11.7 targets, 7.3 receptions, and 52.7 yards. The Rams have a bye in Week 7 then face the 49ers, who beat them in Week 4, so there could be another good game for Higbee coming up.

  • Cooper Kupp, Tyler Higbee Active For Week 6

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp (foot) and Tyler Higbee (ankle) are both active for Week 6 against the Carolina Panthers. They had been listed as questionable. Kupp, who has a whopping 49 catches, 527 yards, and four touchdowns this season, remains the most exciting wide receiver in fantasy football. Meanwhile, Higbee is also an appealing option this week after amassing 33 catches and 290 yards so far.

  • Cooper Kupp, Tyler Higbee Expected To Play In Week 6

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp (foot) and tight end Tyler Higbee (ankle) are expected to play against the Carolina Panthers in Week 6 despite being listed as questionable on the final injury report. This feels like a get-right game for the struggling defending Super Bowl champions, so continue to expect big production from the two top targets for quarterback Matthew Stafford. Running back Cam Akers (personal) is out, so perhaps the Rams lean toward the passing game even more than usual. Ultimately, both Kupp and Higbee are must-starts each and every week.

  • Tyler Higbee A Quality TE1 Start In Week 6

Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee has a home game against the flailing Carolina Panthers in Week 6. Higbee has been targeted ten or more times in each of the past two games. The 29-year-old has produced a TE1 season on high volume, but he has not yet scored a touchdown. His Week 6 matchup is easier for tight ends than either of his past two matchups, and the Rams are expected to be in control of this game against a Panthers team that is lacking its coach and quarterback. Higbee is a quality start in Week 6.

  • Tyler Higbee Doesn't Practice Wednesday

Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee (ankle) was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice due to an ankle injury. According to Rams head coach Sean McVay, the team will be "be smart" in practice this week with Cooper Kupp, Aaron Donald, and Higbee but it shouldn't affect his status for Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers. Higbee is second on the team in targets and receptions behind Kupp, with 33 catches for 290 yards over five games in 2022. The 29-year-old will have two more days to log an full session but is expected to play in Week 6.

  • Tyler Higbee Has Another 10-Target Game

Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee caught seven passes for 46 yards on 10 targets in the Rams' 22-10 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. It was the 29-year-old's third game of the season with seven or more receptions. Higbee has become a quality weekly starter this season, especially in PPR formats. The lack of production from any other Rams' offensive assets outside of Cooper Kupp certainly works in his favor. If the Rams ever do sign an elite WR or work out the issues with their current offense, it might decrease Higbee's target share but could increase his touchdown upside.

  • Tyler Higbee Likely To Finish As TE1 In Week 5

Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee has been targeted more than any other player on the Rams except Cooper Kupp. He might be targeted a lot in Week 5 against the Cowboys. The Cowboys have a tough pass defense, which ranks in the top ten in limiting opponent's yards per game and yards per pass, but they rank in the middle of the pack in receptions and yards allowed to tight ends. With Matthew Stafford likely to face pressure from Micah Parsons and the stifling Cowboys defense, he'll look to Higbee underneath. Higbee is a capable start this week.

  • Tyler Higbee Posts Season High In Catches

Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee was targeted 14 times and caught 10 passes for 73 yards. It was the 29-year-old's second game with double-digit targets this season and his first with double-digit receptions. Higbee is taking advantage of being a target hog in an underwhelming offense to rank as the TE5 in PPR through four weeks.

  • Tyler Higbee Has Tough Matchup In Week 4

Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee found the end zone in both of his regular season games against the San Francisco 49ers, his Week 4 opponents, last season. Overall, he caught 11 passes for 93 yards and three touchdowns in three games, including the NFC Championship, against his divisional rivals. The 49ers are a tough defense, especially on opposing tight ends. They have allowed the fewest fantasy points to tight ends of any team in the league. But they were amongst the top 10 in limiting tight ends in 2021, too, and that didn't stop Higbee. Despite being overlooked going into the season, Higbee has been the Rams' second-leading pass catcher and has finished as a top 15 TE every week. Higbee's Week 4 matchup is on the tougher side, but there is a lot of variability in weekly tight end production, and Higbee could be a TE1 on any given week.

  • Tyler Higbee Goes For 61 Yards

Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee caught all four passes thrown his way for 61 yards in the Rams' 20-12 victory over the Arizona Cardinals Week 3. The 29-year-old closely trailed WR Ben Skowronek for the team lead in receiving yards in the Rams' 20-12 victory over the Arizona Cardinals Week 3. While he was not targeted as frequently as he was in the first two weeks, he made the most of them, compiling his highest catch rate and highest yards per reception of the season. With 10 PPR points, Higbee ranks just outside the top 12 tight ends for the week.

  • Tyler Higbee Maintains High Target Volume in Rams Win

Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee caught seven passes for 71 yards on nine targets in the Rams' 31-27 Week 2 win over the Atlanta Falcons. Higbee has now been targeted 20 times in his first two games and caught 12 passes. The 29-year-old was on the field for 98.4% of snaps and ran routes on half of those, totaling a 25.7% target share. He is on pace to meet and exceed his 2019 career high for receiving yards. His volume might decrease when Van Jefferson comes back from injury (knee), but that won't be for a few more weeks. Higbee is emerging as a reliable low-end TE1 with a good value relative to his low draft position.

  • Tyler Higbee Targeted 11 Times, Catches 5 Passes For 39 Yards

Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee caught five of 11 targets for 39 yards in the Rams' 31-10 loss opening game loss to the Buffalo Bills. While the huge volume was encouraging for the 29-year-old tight end, who is coming off knee surgery, the lack of efficiency is concerning. This kind of target share (26.8% of the Rams passes) is not sustainable, either. His volume was inflated because No. 3 WR Van Jefferson missed the game due to continued rehab of his knee injury, and No. 2 WR Allen Robinson II was not in sync with QB Matthew Stafford. The Rams would like to throw the ball to their free agency prize WR more than twice a game. In the event that Higbee does continue to be targeted more than ten times a game, that would not mean good things for the Rams offense, and they would not be scoring many touchdowns. Look for Higbee's volume to decline next Sunday against the Falcons in a game in which the Rams offense shouldn't have as much trouble.

  • Tyler Higbee Restructures Contract

Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee has agreed to restructure his current contract with the team. The Rams converted $4.75 million of his base salary into a signing bonus while adding three void years, creating $3.8 million in 2022 cap space. This move will provide the club with added flexibility entering the season. The 29-year-old is the clear-cut starter who figures to slot in behind Cooper Kupp and Allen Robinson II as the No. 3 option in the offense. After finishing with 61 catches for 560 yards and five touchdowns in 2021, he'll be a streaming candidate at the position.
