  • Robby Anderson Will Play In Week 18

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson (quadriceps), who was questionable to play in the Week 18 regular season finale, is active on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Anderson will be active, but in a meaningless game for the Panthers, he might not play his usual number of offensive snaps. The 28-year-old has only 46 catches for 469 yards and four touchdowns on 101 targets in 16 games this season as the No. 2 wideout behind D.J. Moore. Anderson hasn't really been able to tap into his chemistry with quarterback Sam Darnold from their time with the Jets, and Darnold has been below-average when healthy in his first year in Carolina. Anderson is merely a low-upside WR4/5 in fantasy to close out the season.

  • Robby Anderson To Be A Game-Time Decision

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson (quadriceps) is questionable for the Week 18 regular season finale against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and head coach Matt Rhule said that Anderson will be a game-time decision. The fact that Anderson didn't practice all week puts him on the wrong side of questionable to close out the season. Even if Anderson were able to play, though, he'd be a pretty poor choice for a flex spot in fantasy lineups, as he's averaging just 2.9 receptions and 29.3 receiving yards while scoring four touchdowns in 16 games. Rookies Terrace Marshall Jr. and Shi Smith won't play this weekend, so the Panthers could be down to Brandon Zylstra and Alex Erickson behind No. 1 wideout D.J. Moore on Sunday if Anderson is inactive.

  • Another Missed Practice For Robby Anderson

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson (quadriceps) is missing his second straight practice of the week on Thursday. Anderson will need to get back on the practice field on Friday to have a chance at playing in the Week 18 regular season finale on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Panthers could be thin on pass-catchers this weekend if Anderson is unable to play, as the team placed rookie Terrace Marshall Jr. (foot) on Injured Reserve on Wednesday, and fellow rookie Shi Smith is on the COVID-19 list. The only other receivers on the active roster are Alex Erickson and Brandon Zylstra. D.J. Moore could be busy as the team's leading receiver against Tampa if Anderson doesn't play. When healthy, Anderson has done very little for fantasy managers this year, averaging 2.9 catches and 29.3 receiving yards in 16 games played.

  • Robby Anderson Listed As DNP Wednesday

Carolina Panthers wide receivers Robby Anderson (quadriceps) and Shi Smith (illness) were not able to practice on Wednesday. Anderson came just short of playing every single offensive snap in the Week 17 loss to the New Orleans Saints, so it's likely that his quad injury isn't too serious. As long as he's back on the practice field in the next two days, the 28-year-old will likely play in the Week 18 regular season finale against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Carolina's atrocious quarterback play this year hasn't helped Anderson's cause, and he's averaging just 2.9 catches and 29.3 receiving yards per game while scoring four touchdowns in 16 contests. Tampa's secondary is vulnerable, but Anderson won't be in many starting fantasy lineups to close out the year.

  • Robby Anderson Musters 10 Yards Against Saints

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson mustered two receptions for 10 yards on two targets in Sunday's loss to New Orleans. Anderson had shown recent flashes of success as he posted better yardage totals but Sunday was just a reflection of his 2021 season as he posted underwhelming numbers once again. Given his inconsistency and generally low weekly totals, the 28-year-old shouldn't be trusted in fantasy next week in the season finale against the Bucs.

  • Robby Anderson - Week 17 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson isn't the strongest starting option in Week 17. The WR has underwhelmed all throughout the season before putting up better numbers in the last few weeks. He has seen at least eight targets in the last three games and posted at least 58 yards in two of the last three games. The wideout hasn't been consistent all season, but his recent numbers have been decent. The Saints allow the 10th-most fantasy points to wideouts, so Anderson is worth considering as a flex in deeper leagues at best.

  • Robby Anderson Sees 10 Targets Against Buccaneers

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson recorded five receptions for 58 yards on 10 targets in Sunday's loss to the Bucs. Anderson now has at least eight targets in the last three games and at least 58 yards in two of the past three games. He's been producing well recently, the best of this entire season. Still, Anderson has shown in 2021 that he can fall flat any week. While his recent yardage totals have been great, managers should be cautiously optimistic about Anderson and only start him as a deep-league flex if needed. The WR hasn't proved he can be consistent.

  • Robby Anderson - Week 16 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson is a deep-league flex play, at best, in Week 16 against Tampa. The WR broke out a couple of weeks ago for a season-high 84 yards but returned to his regular form last week and posted three receptions for 29 yards on eight targets. Anderson hasn't been reliable all season and has posted low numbers on a weekly basis. D.J. Moore is questionable with a hamstring injury this week, so Anderson could be the WR1 if Moore can't go. Still, it will be hard to trust Anderson given his season-long history of mostly being a bust. Tampa's secondary is vulnerable, though, and Anderson will see more targets if Moore is inactive, which would give him flex upside.

  • Robby Anderson Rushes For 33 Yards

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson rushed two times for 33 yards and had three receptions for 29 yards on eight targets in Sunday's loss to the Bills. Anderson was coming off his best game of the season (7/84/1) but once again posted a receiving total that was similar to most of his 2021 weekly production in 29 yards. The WR has been underwhelming all season and the 33 rush yards were likely an anomaly given he rushed for three yards total on the season prior to Week 15. Anderson is not a strong fantasy option as 2021 concludes.

  • Robby Anderson - Week 15 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson isn't a great fantasy option in Week 15 against Buffalo. The WR did randomly go off last week by posting seven receptions for 84 yards and a score on 12 targets but that seems like more of an anomaly considering he hasn't produced well during any other week of the season. In fact, he hadn't topped more than 57 yards in a game prior to last week. Buffalo is the stingiest team in the league against fantasy wideouts, so Anderson is best left on benches this week.

  • Robby Anderson Records Season-High 84 Yards

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson managed seven receptions for 84 yards and a score on 12 targets in Sunday's loss to the Falcons. The WR came out of nowhere to post season-highs in receptions, yards, and targets. Before Week 14, Anderson hadn't posted more than 57 yards in a contest and that was in Week 1. The 28-year-old hasn't been consistent or reliable in fantasy all season so while this performance was encouraging, he shouldn't be used for fantasy until he proves he can keep up these types of weeks.

  • Robby Anderson - Week 14 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson is not a strong fantasy play in Week 14. The 28-year-old has been underwhelming all season and hasn't posted more than 57 yards in a contest. In the last three weeks, he's posted 30 or more yards twice but that's still not elite production. Given his production woes, it's best Anderson stays out of fantasy lineups.

  • Robby Anderson Manages One Reception Against Dolphins

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson managed one reception for 15 yards on four targets in Sunday's loss to the Dolphins. Though the entire offense was out of sync on Sunday, Anderson has been underwhelming all season. The 28-year-old now has 30 yards or less in seven of the last eight games and hasn't produced well at all. He's off the fantasy radar going forward.

  • Robby Anderson - Week 12 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson should remain on benches for the Week 12 clash against the Dolphins. The WR has a been a super disappointing fantasy option all season, not having posted more than 40 yards in a game since early October. Despite having a good target share in most games, Anderson cannot seem to take advantage of that. Because of his low production, he shouldn't be trusted even in a matchup with a Dolphins squad that allows the second-most fantasy points to WRs.

  • Robby Anderson Musters 30 Yards In Week 11

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson recorded five receptions for 30 yards on six targets in Sunday's loss to Washington. Anderson has struggled all season to produce despite seeing a decent target share most of the time. The 28-year-old once again posted a modest total in Week 11 and he hasn't topped 57 yards in a game this season. Given his low production all season, Anderson can safely be avoided in fantasy.

  • Robby Anderson - Week 11 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson is not worth a start in Week 11 against Washington. Anderson has struggled all throughout the 2021 season and has been wildly inconsistent. While his target share in some games hasn't been awful, it's his production that's making him an uninspiring fantasy option. The WR posted 57 yards back in Week 1 and he hasn't topped that total in any game since. Even in a favorable matchup against Washington, Anderson is best left out of starting lineups as he's too hard to trust at this point.

  • Robby Anderson Scores Touchdown Against Cardinals

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson recorded four receptions for 37 yards and a score on six targets in Sunday's win over the Cardinals. Anderson has generally been underwhelming all season and this was the first time the WR posted more than 35 yards in a game since early October. Overall, the 28-year-old hasn't posted more than 57 yards in a game this season and his inconsistency makes him hard to trust in fantasy at this point.

  • Robby Anderson - Week 10 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson should be benched in Week 10 against the Cardinals. Anderson has been underwhelming this season and has a combined seven receptions for 27 yards on a whopping 24 targets. The WR simply hasn't been taking advantage of his opportunities and that makes him hard to trust, even more so with an inexperienced QB in P.J. Walker starting this week.

  • Robby Anderson Disappoints Once Again

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson caught just one of three passes for two yards in Sunday's loss to the Patriots. Anderson's tough year continued, as he was one of the worst performers on a day where the offense struggled to do much of anything. The speedy wideout was visibly frustrated on the sideline, as he has yet to repeat the solid every-week production of last season. Anderson is talented but fast approaching drop territory, considering the struggles of Sam Darnold.

  • Robby Anderson - Week 9 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson will be tough to recommend in Week 9 against the Patriots. In perhaps one of the biggest understatements, Anderson has been a massive disappointment for fantasy purposes this year, as he has seen at least seven targets in four of his last five games but has failed to exceed 50 yards in any of them. Oddly enough, the Patriots have been one of the league's best matchups for wide receivers over the last four weeks- and Anderson could see more looks if D.J. Moore is the focus of Bill Belichick's defensive game plan. He's a start-worthy option only if you're desperate.

  • Robby Anderson Puts Up A Dud

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson managed no yards on a single target in Sunday's win over Atlanta. The WR has struggled this season with Carolina and hasn't posted more than 57 yards in a contest, which was back in Week 1. In the last three weeks, Anderson has only managed 25 yards total in those games combined. At this point, he shouldn't even occupy a spot on your fantasy team.

  • Robby Anderson - Week 8 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson is a risky play in Week 8 against the Falcons. The WR has been underwhelming and inconsistent this season with Carolina. Despite seeing seven or more targets in four of seven games, the wideout hasn't posted more than 57 yards in a single contest. For now, Anderson will be hard to trust given he can't produce with the opportunities he is given. Even against an Atlanta team that is top-10 in terms of points allowed to fantasy wideouts, there are better options to start than the Temple product.

  • Robby Anderson Struggles Once Again

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson's struggles continued in a 25-3 loss to the Giants. Anderson saw nine targets, second behind D.J. Moore, but failed to produce anything with them in a rough all-around day. The speedy wideout certainly wasn't helped by quarterback Sam Darnold, who struggled mightily in the loss. Still, Anderson's career-low catch percentage makes him an unreliable fantasy option at the moment, even with a favorable matchup coming up against the Falcons.

Oct 24 · Source via Panthers Robby Anderson
  • Robby Anderson - Week 7 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson has struggled this season heading into a favorable matchup against the Giants. Anderson has caught just 15 of 40 targets for 190 yards and two touchdowns, posting a career-worst 37.5 percent catch rate. However, 29 of those 40 targets have come in the past three weeks, as the speedy wideout has seen his involvement in the offense skyrocket with Christian McCaffrey (hamstring) sidelined. Anderson should remain heavily involved with fellow receiver Terrace Marshall Jr. (head) trending in the wrong direction for Sunday's game. With a potentially elite target share incoming and a matchup against a Giants defense that has allowed the eighth-most touchdowns to wideouts on tap- Anderson could be poised for his best game of the year.
