Ka'imi Fairbairn Approaching Starting Status
Houston Texans kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn has been sharp in his seventh NFL season, and he'll look to continue that at home in Week 4 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Fairbairn went a perfect 7-for-7 on kicks last week, including 3-for-3 on field goal attempts. The Texans kicker now ranks tied for fifth with eight field goals made on the year. With Houston's offense being a surprise early in the year, Fairbairn is someone to monitor on the waiver wire. He's ranked 11th among all kickers in points so far and is a solid streaming option in Week 4.

Houston Texans kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn is a low-end streaming option in Week 3 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Fairbairn missed his first kick of the season last week on a 51-yard attempt late in the fourth quarter. The Texans kicker has made 5-of-6 field goals so far this season and has gone a perfect 2-for-2 on extra points in two weeks. With the Texans' inconsistencies on offense with rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud under center, Fairbairn should only be started in deeper leagues.

Houston Texans kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn missed his first kick of the season in the team's 31-20 loss to the Indianapolis Colts in Week 2. Fairbairn connected on his first two field goals in the contest, a 29-yard try and a 36-yard attempt. But he then missed a 51-yard attempt with just under three minutes remaining in the game. The kicker, though, did go a perfect 2-for-2 on extra points on Sunday. He'll have another opportunity to go perfect next week against the Jacksonville Jaguars on the road.

Houston Texans kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn was perfect on field goals in Week 1, and he'll look to carry that perfection into a Week 2 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts. The kicker nailed three attempts from 38 yards, 36 yards, and 35 yards last week in Baltimore. It was an easy week for Fairbairn, who kicked just three short-field goals for Houston. After only missing two tries last year, the Texans' kicker is already off to a great start in 2023. But, with a rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud under center, the team could struggle offensively to get into Fairbairn's range. For now, he should only be started in deep leagues in Week 2.

Houston Texans kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn went 3-for-3 on field goals in Sunday's 25-9 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Fairbairn got his first opportunity late in the first half when he converted on a 35-yard attempt. Then, he nailed a 38-yard attempt to end the half and a 36-yard try in the fourth quarter. The kicker was perfect on the afternoon and provided all the scoring for Houston in this one. After missing only two kicks last season, Fairbairn seems poised for another strong kicking year. He'll look to continue his perfection next week at home against the Indianapolis Colts.

Houston Texans kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn was as consistent as any kicker last year. He made 29-of-31 field goals and went 6-for-6 on 50-plus yard attempts in 2022. Fairbairn also went a perfect 24-of-24 on extra points. However, the struggles of Houston's offense hurt the kicker's fantasy value. He finished as the K15 in 2022. With the inconsistencies of a rookie quarterback in C.J. Stroud directing the offense, we should be in wait-and-see mode on Fairbairn in fantasy. He should only be started in deeper formats.
