2 Dalvin Cook, MIN 7 26.1 1.03 24.1

Mike's Thoughts: He's missed games every season, which is to be expected for any RB with this many projected carries, really. However, there is a higher perceived injury risk with Cook going back to his 4-game rookie season. Double-digit TD and high catch numbers, thanks to limited receiving options on the Vikings, support Cook at 2. There are additional red flags such as Gary Kubiak no longer the OC, and Rick Dennison possibly out as the OL coach, which may warrant a fade on Cook.

3 Alvin Kamara, NO 6 26.1 1.04 25.2

  • Derrick Henry Will Look To Rebound In Week 2

Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry will look to rebound in Sunday's Week 2 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. He rushed for 58 yards on 17 attempts while catching three passes for 19 yards in Sunday's Week 1 38-13 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. The 27-year-old couldn't find any running room last Sunday as the Titans' offensive line had a poor game overall. Seattle allowed 114 yards on the ground to Indianapolis Colts in Week 1. Despite the lackluster performance last Sunday, Henry is in a prime spot to rebound in what's projected to be a shootout (50.5 over/under) against the Seahawks in Week 2. King Henry is a surefire RB1 this week.

  • Derrick Henry Is Matchup Proof, Elite Option Vs. Arizona

Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry is matchup proof and gets to face an Arizona Cardinals defense that has allowed 125.5 rushing yards per game. He is a surefire RB1 and will begin the 2021 season against a defense that surrendered the 11th most fantasy points to opposing running backs. The 27-year-old had 2,027 rushing yards on 378 rushing attempts and 17 touchdowns in 2020. He is set for another massive workload and will look to make it back-to-back 2,000-yard seasons. Henry should produce elite numbers and is an elite option in Week 1.

  • Mekhi Sargent Expected To Be The Titans RB2

Tennessee Titans running back Mekhi Sargent is expected to be the backup behind undisputed starter Derrick Henry. "He was a decisive runner, he hit the hole, he tried to run through contact when somebody tried to tackle him," said general manager Jon Robinson. The Titans placed RB Darrynton Evans (knee) on the injured reserve earlier in the week, and he won't be eligible to return until Week 4. Sargent, who had an impressive preseason, will be the backup running back to star Derrick Henry. He led the Titans in rushing in the preseason and earned his spot on the 53-man roster; logging 49 carries for 187 yards and a touchdown over three games. Henry, Sargent, and Jeremy McNichols are currently the Titans' top running backs on the depth chart. The undrafted free agent is Henry's backup running back fantasy managers should target in upcoming fantasy drafts in the short term until Evans is activated from the injured reserve.

  • Derrick Henry Doesn't Play In The Preseason

Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry did not play in Saturday's 27-24 preseason loss to the Chicago Bears. He did not play one snap during the preseason as the Titans manage the superstar running back's workload. The 27-year-old had 2,027 rushing yards on 378 rushing attempts and 17 touchdowns in 2020. He's logged 718 touches over the past two seasons. Henry will be ready for another massive workload in 2021 and is the third consensus overall pick in upcoming fantasy drafts behind Carolina Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey and Minnesota Vikings RB Dalvin Cook.

  • Derrick Henry Doesn't Suit Up Vs. Tampa Bay

Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry did not play in Saturday's 34-3 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Titans continue to rest their starters in the preseason to keep them healthy for the regular-season opener against the Arizona Cardinals on September 12. He has yet to take on a full workload in training camp as the Titans preserve their star RB for the regular season. The 27-year-old had 2,027 rushing yards on 378 rushing attempts and 17 touchdowns in 2020. King Henry is coming off another dominant season. He is the consensus third overall pick behind Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey and Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook in upcoming fantasy drafts.

  • Derrick Henry Taking On Coaching Role At Camp

Tennessee Titans star running back Derrick Henry has yet to take on a full workload in training camp. The team is attempting to preserve him for the start of the season and of course the long haul. While he's had a reduced workload, he has been taking on more of a coaching role with the offense. Running backs coach Tony Dews said, "We've kind of started calling him 'coach' because he's back there with a strip now and he's calling out all the plays." Henry will rightly be one of the first players off the board in all fantasy drafts this fall. He's coming off yet another dominant season in which he set career-highs in both rushing yards (2,027) and rushing touchdowns (17).

  • Taylor Lewan Indicates He'll Be Ready For Week 1

Tennessee Titans offensive lineman Taylor Lewan has not practiced in full yet as he continues to recover from his torn ACL injury he suffered last season. However, according to head coach Mike Vrabel he's gone through some jog-throughs and is progressing nicely. All the optimistic talk makes sense as he was not placed on the PUP list at the start of training camp. His health is a big factor for the Titans' offense, which is built around Derrick Henry's bruising running style. At this time, fantasy managers sound like they can count on Lewan starting at left tackle when the season officially kicks off.
