Hunter Henry Should Bounce Back In Week 4

New England Patriots tight end Hunter Henry is primed to bounce back against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 4. Though he mustered just two catches for 17 yards last Sunday, his poor performance can be blamed on rainy weather, especially considering he amassed 108 yards and two touchdowns through the first two games of the year. With the benefits of a dome and potential negative game script versus Dallas, Henry has a chance to thrive. He should continue to be one of Mac Jones' top targets, ranking as a mid-range fantasy TE1.

Hunter Henry Held In Check By Jets

New England Patriots tight end Hunter Henry turned five targets into just two catches for 17 yards against the New York Jets in Week 3. After ranking as the No. 2 tight end in fantasy football through the first two weeks, Henry's production took a step backward at a rainy MetLife Stadium on Sunday. With that said, the 28-year-old should still be started in most leagues going forward, even against the Cowboys next week.

Hunter Henry Remains A Top Option In Week 3

New England Patriots tight end Hunter Henry has entered must-start territory heading into Sunday's game against the New York Jets. The veteran has been a top pass-catcher in the Patriots offense thus far, catching 11 passes for 108 yards and two touchdowns. While some touchdown regression is inevitable, there's no denying that Henry has blossomed into Mac Jones' go-to option in the passing game, especially in clutch spots. Deploy Henry as a mid-range fantasy TE1 this week.

Hunter Henry Shines For Second Consecutive Week

New England Patriots tight end Hunter Henry delivered huge production in Week 2, catching six passes for 52 yards and one touchdown. The 28-year-old was arguably the Patriots' most impressive playmaker during Sunday's loss to the Miami Dolphins. Henry now has 11 catches for 108 yards and two touchdowns this season, ranking as the overall TE2 behind only T.J. Hockenson. While it initially seemed like Henry's value was only going to decline with the addition of Mike Gesicki, that hasn't been the case. In fact, Henry's big Sunday came despite Gesicki totaling five catches and 33 yards. Even though Henry's rate of one touchdown per game isn't sustainable, he is still a steady TE1 option going forward.

Hunter Henry - Week 2 Outlook for Fantasy Football

New England Patriots tight end Hunter Henry has emerged as a top-12 option in fantasy football. The 28-year-old was a reliable target for Mac Jones last Sunday, hauling in five of six targets for 56 yards and a touchdown. In the Week 2 edition of Monday Night Football, he'll face the Miami Dolphins in what should be a pass-heavy game for both sides. Having asserted himself over Mike Gesicki, Henry is a fine option for your fantasy lineups.

Hunter Henry Hauls In Nine-Yard Touchdown Reception

New England Patriots tight end Hunter Henry caught five of six targets for 56 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 25-20 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Mac Jones found Henry for a nine-yard touchdown strike to put New England on the scoreboard. The 28-year-old out-targeted fellow tight end Mike Gesicki six to three and, most importantly, had the red zone opportunity in the Week 1 loss. Henry saw an uptick in targets with DeVante Parker (knee) and Tyquan Thornton (shoulder) sidelined. Henry will be a touchdown-dependent fantasy option at tight end in the Week 2 matchup against the Dolphins.

Hunter Henry, Mike Gesicki Not Viable Fantasy Options In Week 1

New England Patriots tight ends Hunter Henry and Mike Gesicki (shoulder) will be available for Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Gesicki was removed from the injury report after suffering a mild shoulder dislocation in mid-August. The Patriots are expected to utilize two tight end sets as both players will likely be the second and third pass-catching options behind top target JuJu Smith-Schuster. The Eagles were tough on tight ends in 2022 and ranked sixth in DVOA against the position. Gesicki and Henry are mainly streamers in deep-league formats, but fantasy managers should avoid starting them in fantasy with the extremely tough matchup.

Offseason In Review: New England Patriots

The 2022 season saw the Patriots fail to make the playoffs for the second time in the post-Tom Brady era. While the players deserve their fair share of blame for the team’s lack of success, New England’s struggles could mostly be attributed to the sideline. With Josh McDaniels having left for Las Vegas, Bill Belichick […]

With less than a week to go until teams must make determinations about players on their respective PUP lists, the Patriots received good news on one of their starting offensive linemen. Michael Onwenu returned to practice Wednesday, the Boston Herald’s Doug Kyed notes (on Twitter), ending a lengthy hiatus. The fourth-year guard has been out […]
Aug 23 · Pro Football Rumors Patriots Hunter HenryHunter Henry Has Been Busy At Training Camp

New England Patriots tight end Hunter Henry caught another red-zone touchdown pass from quarterback Mac Jones at training camp practice on Tuesday, which continues a theme so far this summer. Henry has been a go-to guy for Jones in red-zone situations, and the former Chargers tight end was also one of the team's offseason award winners. ESPN's Mike Reiss is warning fantasy managers in upcoming drafts that Henry might be worth a late-round investment based on what we've seen so far. The problem for the 28-year-old is that Mike Gesicki is now in town and will surely take valuable targets away. Unless Gesicki misses time with an injury in 2023, Henry will probably be no more than a touchdown-dependent TE2 in fantasy.

Patriots Likely To Feature A Lot Of Two-Tight End Sets

The New England Patriots' new-look offense under offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien will likely feature a heavy dosage of two-tight end sets that will resemble what we saw in O'Brien's first stint with the team, writes Patriots.com's Evan Lazar. That means a lot of Hunter Henry and new tight end Mike Gesicki. In spring workouts, Gesicki's natural pass-catching skills and alignment flexibility gave the team a clearer path to featuring both TEs on the field together. He was impactful running the seam, stretching the field horizontally and showing decent separation quickness. Gesicki will probably have the higher fantasy ceiling, but the fact that both Gesicki and Henry will be fighting for targets will most likely keep their price low as TE2s in drafts this fall.

Hunter Henry Excited For Fresh Start In 2023

New England Patriots tight end Hunter Henry is excited for a fresh start in 2023 with new offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien. Under Matt Patricia last year, the whole offense struggled, and Henry had only 509 yards and two touchdowns. "Me and Mac Jones are close, we spend a good amount of time together, we've been throwing, getting after it, just trying to get ready to go," Henry said. "I think everyone's excited for a fresh start and a fresh season. Everybody will be fired up and be ready to go." While the 28-year-old could bounce back this year, his fantasy ceiling will be limited while he shares snaps and targets with new addition Mike Gesicki. Henry's chemistry with Jones can't be ignored, but he's probably going to be a frustrating touchdown-dependent TE2 in fantasy in 2023.
