  • Jared Goff Throws Two Touchdowns Against Bills

Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff threw for 240 yards and two touchdowns to zero interceptions in the close loss to the Buffalo Bills on Thanksgiving. The Lions offense continued to look strong against a daunting Buffalo defense, and Goff delivered as a solid fantasy starter this week. Detroit will host the Jacksonville Jaguars next Sunday, so he could be in play for another solid fantasy performance in Week 13. Rookie wideout Jameson Williams (knee) might make his NFL debut in that game, so Goff's ceiling could be raised even more.

  • Jared Goff Has Upside Despite Tough Matchup

Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff has a wide range of outcomes against the Buffalo Bills on Thanksgiving. The Bills' defense has been a top-six unit against fantasy quarterbacks this season, but if this game gets ugly as expected, Detroit will be forced into a pass-only game script. By pure volume, Goff can pay off in fantasy, even if a lot of his production comes in garbage time. Last week, Jacoby Brissett threw for 324 yards and three touchdowns against Buffalo in come-from-behind mode, so there's a path to fantasy success here. Goff's floor has proven to be low, though, so he's a boom-or-bust Week 12 option at quarterback.

  • Jared Goff Fails To Throw Touchdown In Win

Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff completed 17 of his 26 passing attempts for 165 yards, zero touchdowns, and zero interceptions in the 31-18 win over the New York Giants. Jamaal Williams and D'Andre Swift combined for four rushing touchdowns, so Goff simply fell victim to not being on the right side of the play calls in the red zone for fantasy managers. Goff's floor has been low all season, but his ceiling might be high against the Buffalo Bills next week, where he'll likely be forced into a pass-happy game script.

  • Jared Goff A Mid-Level QB2 In Week 11

Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff ranks as the QB17 through ten weeks of the NFL season, and that's about where his outlook figures to be for the matchup against the New York Giants. New York is just a middle-of-the-pack team against fantasy quarterbacks, and Detroit's offense is back to being at least a solid unit. Goff has upside in every game since the Lions' defense usually forces the team into pass-happy game scripts, so consider Goff a boom-or-bust option in Week 11 depending on his touchdown total.

  • Jared Goff Throws For 236 Yards In Win

Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff completed 19 of his 26 passing attempts for 236 yards and one touchdown in the win over the Chicago Bears. He had a great day in terms of efficiency but failed to be a great streaming option thanks to posting just a single touchdown. However, the Lions' offense looks good again, and he'll be an interesting streamer against the New York Giants in Week 11.

  • Jared Goff A Solid Streamer Versus Bears

Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff is a high-upside streamer in a matchup with just a decent Bears' defense against fantasy quarterbacks. Most teams choose to simply run the ball down Chicago's throat, making their stats against quarterbacks look better, but they're far from a strong defense. Robert Quinn and Roquan Smith have both been traded away, and since Chicago has given up 40-plus points each of the last two weeks, Goff has a chance to smash in this matchup. Despite losing T.J. Hockenson via trade, this Lions' offense has plenty of firepower to continue to produce.

  • Jared Goff Has High Ceiling, Low Floor Against Packers

Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff is a boom-or-bust play against a league-average Green Bay Packers defense. The Lions' offense is statistically one of the best units in the NFL, but Goff's floor has proven to be low in the matchups against the New England Patriots and Dallas Cowboys. However, those are two of the top defenses in the league, so Goff has another chance to boom in Week 9 in a more favorable matchup. Losing T.J. Hockenson to the Minnesota Vikings hurts his ceiling a bit, but his pass-catchers still have enough talent to remain a formidable offensive attack.

  • Jared Goff Throws For 321 Yards In Loss

Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff completed 27 of his 37 passing attempts for 321 yards and one touchdown in the 31-27 loss to the Miami Dolphins. He had a nice day with zero interceptions, but failing to throw more than one touchdown capped his fantasy output. That said, the Lions' offense looked explosive for the first time in about a month, so the outlooks of the Lions' pass-catchers could see a boost. The team is still missing DJ Chark (ankle) and Jameson Williams (knee), but it has just enough weapons to produce in a lot of negative game scripts.

  • Jared Goff Is Boom-Or-Bust In Week 8

Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff exploded in fantasy football to begin the season, but after two straight games without a touchdown, he's back to a boom-or-bust play. The Lions face the Miami Dolphins, who struggle mightily against quarterbacks, wide receivers, and tight ends, so Goff could be in for a huge bounce-back performance. D'Andre Swift will finally make his return, and though Amon-Ra. St Brown (concussion protocol) is questionable, he's expected to play. If Goff busts in this matchup, he's pretty close to be droppable in seasonal leagues.

  • Jared Goff A High-End QB2 In Week 7

Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff was embarrassed by the New England Patriots in Week 5, but after a bye week, several key Lions' weapons should be healthier. Amon-Ra St. Brown (ankle), while D'Andre Swift (shoulder/ankle) participated in a limited fashion. Josh Reynolds (knee) and D.J. Chark (knee) have not practiced this week, though. If St. Brown and Swift play, the Lions have plenty of ammunition to have a productive day on offense. It's tough to pencil in Goff as a clear-cut QB1 after his floor performance against the Patriots, but he should be viewed as at least a high-end QB2 against the Dallas Cowboys this week.

  • Jared Goff Shut Down In Week 5

Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff completed 19 of his 35 attempts for 229 yards, zero touchdowns, and one interception in the shutout loss to the New England Patriots. His floor is clearly not as high as most thought, so he's a risky play moving forward unless the matchup is favorable for quarterbacks. That said, this offense should bounce back after the Week 6 bye as all their skill players will get a chance to heal up. D'Andre Swift could also return after the bye.

  • Jared Goff A QB1 For Week 5

Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff has exploded out of the gates in the early part of the 2022 NFL season and ranks as the QB5 on the season heading into Week 5. The New England Patriots used to be a scary matchup for quarterbacks, but its defense isn't elite this year, and Goff has proven to have a high ceiling in any matchup. Even with Amon-Ra St. Brown (ankle) and several key pass-catchers banged up for Detroit, Goff is a strong fantasy play in Week 5. Of course, the floor could fall at any time for Goff, but based on his production so far, it's tough to bench him.

  • Jared Goff Throws for 378 Yards, Four Touchdowns

Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff exploded for 378 yards and four passing touchdowns on 39 attempts in the loss to the Seattle Seahawks. He'll finish as a high-end QB1 for Week 4, continuing his stellar fantasy season. The ceiling of the Lions' offense rivals any offensive attack in the league, especially since Detroit's defense is one of the worst units in the league. Expect Detroit to be in shootouts several times this season. All that said, Goff should be heavily rostered in leagues of all shapes and sizes. He's a great option against the New England Patriots in Week 5, especially if Amon-Ra St. Brown (ankle) is back in the lineup.

  • Jared Goff A Boom-Or-Bust QB

Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff is 11th among quarterbacks in total fantasy points through three weeks, but he'll likely be without Amon-Ra St. Brown (ankle) and D'Andre Swift (ankle, shoulder) in Week 4. Josh Reynolds and T.J. Hockenson are also "questionable" but are trending toward playing. St. Brown and Swift are arguably the two best weapons in the Lions' offense, so Goff's fantasy ceiling is a bit lower in this contest against the Seattle Seahawks. That said, he's played well enough to still warrant some consideration as a flex quarterback. Seattle is just a neutral matchup for QBs thus far, so Goff has a wide range of outcomes.

  • Jared Goff A Strong Streamer In Week 3

Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff is a decent streaming candidate after two strong performances to open the season. His opponent, the Minnesota Vikings have allowed the 10th-most fantasy points to quarterbacks this year. Of course, Goff won't be a rushing threat like Jalen Hurts was against Minnesota in Week 2, but the Lions have the weaponry to shred a weak-looking Vikings secondary. With explosive weapons like Amon-Ra St. Brown and D'Andre Swift, his ceiling will remain high in this NFC North matchup. However, his floor remains low thanks to a lack of rushing prowess.

  • Jared Goff Throws Four Touchdowns In Win

Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff threw four touchdowns to zero interceptions in the win against the Washington Commanders. He delivered 34.04 fantasy points end will end the week as a QB1. Moving forward, he can be inserted in fantasy lineups in favorable matchups. The Lions' offense looks explosive, and could quietly be one of the top-ten offenses in the league with no shortage of weapons. Detroit matches up with Minnesota next week, which could be a shootout, so Goff is intriguing after a strong Week 2 performance.

  • Jared Goff A Low-End QB2 In Week 2

Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff posted a low-end QB2 performance against the Eagles, and a similar day can be expected against the Washington Commanders. Goff benefited from a come-from-behind game script last week but still didn't produce monster numbers. The contest against Washington should be a closer game from start to finish, so he should have a low floor and limited ceiling. However, Amon-Ra St. Brown, D.J. Chark, T.J. Hockensonand D'Andre Swift form a very solid pass-catcher group, so there's always a chance he outperforms expectations. Dak Prescott's fantasymanagers may be looking for a streamer this week, but there are probably a few better options than Goff. For now, it's tough to know whether or not Washington is a favorable matchup for QBs.

  • Jared Goff A Low-End QB2 In Week 1

Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff had a handful of strong performances in 2021, but he's still not viewed as an every-week starter in fantasy football. The Lions added D.J. Chark and get T.J. Hockenson back from injury, but until the offense shows promise, it's tough to trust its passing game. The Eagles allowed the 9th-most fantasy points to quarterback last year, but it added James Bradberry, C.J. Gardner-Johnson, and Hasson Reddick to its defense and projects to be much improved. Goff will available on waiver wires if the Lions' offense looks explosive, but for now, he's not worth starting in single-QB leagues.

  • Career Year On The Way For Jared Goff?

The Detroit Lions apparently feel very good about how quarterback Jared Goff has looked in training camp this offseason. ESPN's Dan Graziano writes that there is a possibility that the former Los Angeles Ram QB takes a major statistical jump from last season, when he completed 67 percent of his passes for 3,245 yards with 19 touchdowns and eight interceptions in 14 games. The Lions have a strong offensive line in addition to their up-and-coming group of playmakers that includes D'Andre Swift, T.J. Hockenson, Amon-Ra St. Brownand others. With a spoil of weapons in an offense on the rise, it wouldn't be surprising to see the 27-year-old reemerge as the capable passer fans saw from 2017-2018. Keep an eye out for Goff as a solid QB2 for fantasy in 2022.

  • DJ Chark Has Shown Chemistry With Jared Goff

Detroit Lions wide receiver DJ Chark and quarterback Jared Goff showed budding chemistry in training camp, particularly on throws down the field. Chark put on a show every day in practice leading up to the team's scrimmage at Ford Field. Some of his production may have come against a suspect secondary, but Chark has been impressive this summer. The 25-year-old is looking to have a bounce-back season in his first year with the Lions in 2022 after playing in just four games due to injury in his final year with the Jacksonville Jaguars. But Chark was a Pro Bowler in 2019 and caught 126 of 211 targets for 1,714 yards and 13 touchdowns in 28 games in 2019 and 2020 with the Jags. He'll have to battle for targets next to Amon-Ra St. Brown, but Chark is worth a look in the late rounds of deeper leagues.
