Raheem Mostert Removed From The Injury Report

Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert has been removed from the injury report heading into Week 2. After missing practice on Wednesday due to a knee issue, he was ultimately able to fully participate in the remaining two practices and shed any designations heading into the matchup against the New England Patriots. Mostert's touchdown last week salvaged an otherwise bad game and he'll now go against a Patriots defense that gave up less than 100 yards and no scores to the Eagles in Week 1. The 31-year-old would be a risky flex play and could be thrown in if any fantasy managers are desperate for running back production.

Raheem Mostert Returns To Practice

Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert (knee) was back at practice on Thursday after being held out for rest and maintenance purposes on Wednesday. Mostert's knee is something to watch given his extensive injury history, but for now it looks he shouldn't have a problem playing in Week 2 against the New England Patriots on Sunday night. And with Jeff Wilson Jr. (abdomen, finger) on Injured Reserve for at least another three games, the 31-year-old should remain Miami's clear-cut lead back ahead of Salvon Ahmed and rookie De'Von Achane (shoulder). Against a pretty solid Patriots defense this weekend, Mostert should be considered an RB3/flex play in fantasy lineups if he's active.

Raheem Mostert Missed Wednesday's Practice For Rest And Maintenance

Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert missed Wednesday's practice for "vet rest and maintenance" purposes, according to Cameron Wolfe of The NFL Network. It was reported earlier that the 31-year-old running back missed practice due to a knee injury, so this is an encouraging update from Wolfe. Given Mostert's lengthy injury history, it would make sense that the Dolphins would want to give him some periodic rest throughout the season to keep him as fresh as possible. Fantasy managers will still want to keep an eye on his practice status on Thursday and Friday to make sure he's good to go for Sunday's divisional tilt against the New England Patriots on Sunday Night Football. Mostert is a mid-level RB2 option against a tough Patriots defense.

Raheem Mostert Listed As DNP With Knee Injury

Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert (knee) popped up on the Week 2 injury report on Wednesday and did not take part in practice. This isn't a great sign for a player with a lengthy injury history, especially with his knee. It remains to be seen how serious this specific injury is, though, and we probably won't have a better idea of whether he's truly questionable to play on Sunday night against the New England Patriots until later this week. If the 31-year-old is truly questionable, it will make him extremely risky for fantasy lineups this week with the game being on Sunday night. Mostert will continue to lead Miami's backfield -- he had 12 touches in the Week 1 win over the Los Angeles -- at least until Jeff Wilson Jr. (abdomen, finger) returns from IR. If Mostert is out or limited this weekend, Salvon Ahmed and rookie De'Von Achane (shoulder) would split backfield duties.

Raheem Mostert Salvages Week 1 Performance With Touchdown

Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert rushed 10 times for 37 yards and one touchdown against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 1. He also caught two passes for an additional 13 yards through the air. While Mostert certainly wasn't a focal point in the offense, he salvaged his fantasy production by finding the end zone. As long as Mostert doesn't have someone like Salvon Ahmed or De'Von Achane (shoulder) right on his heels, he'll rank as a mid-range RB3 in fantasy football.

Offseason In Review: Miami Dolphins

Following a busy offseason in 2022, the Dolphins didn’t take nearly as many swings in 2023. It’s hard to blame them. The front office didn’t have to make up for any mistakes from last spring, as the team’s major acquisitions (receiver Tyreek Hill and offensive tackle Terron Armstead) both proved to be worth the investment. […]

Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert is listed atop the depth chart heading into Week 1 versus the Los Angeles Chargers. However, given Miami's focus on passing the ball as well as the presence of up-and-coming rookie De'Von Achane, Mostert is certainly not a must-start in fantasy football. Rather, fantasy managers should only start him if they're in a bind, like if they lost Jeff Wilson Jr. (midsection, finger) or are uninspired by the Colts' plans to use a running back committee and need to pivot. Mostert enters Week 1 as a low-end RB3/FLEX option in fantasy football.

Raheem Mostert The Clear-Cut RB1 Entering Week 1

The Athletic's Jim Ayello writes that Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert is the team's clear-cut RB1 entering Week 1 of the regular season against the Los Angeles Chargers with Jeff Wilson Jr. (abdomen) on Injured Reserve and rookie De'Von Achane (shoulder) also hurt. However, Mostert is 31 and has dealt with his fair share of injuries in his career as well. But he did play in 16 games in 2022 and averaged 4.9 yards per carry while totaling 1,093 scrimmage yards and five touchdowns. Head coach Mike McDaniel said repeatedly in the offseason that the Dolphins need to run the ball and more effectively for the offense to reach maximum effectiveness. Mostert will enter Week 1 as an RB3/flex in fantasy against a Chargers defense that was extremely vulnerable to the run last year.

Colts, Dolphins Continue Jonathan Taylor Trade Talks

7:09pm: Although this reported deadline looms in less than 24 hours, the Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson notes this should be considered a loose deadline. The actual trade deadline is Oct. 31. It would certainly be interesting to see how the Colts play this if they do not unload Taylor by Tuesday afternoon, but Jackson and ESPN’s […]
Aug 29 · Pro Football Rumors Dolphins Colts Raheem Mostert Jonathan Taylor Jeff WilsonRaheem Mostert Suits Up Saturday, Registers Five Touches

Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert (undisclosed) was active for Saturday's preseason finale despite previous reports indicating that he would not play. The veteran rushed four times for just seven yards while also adding an 11-yard reception. Although it initially seemed like Mostert wasn't going to earn many regular-season touches, injuries to Jeff Wilson Jr. (undisclosed) and De'Von Achane (shoulder) could change that. As fantasy drafts approach, let's view Mostert as an RB4 whose value could increase if Wilson and Achane don't play Week 1.

Raheem Mostert, Jeff Wilson Jr. Won't Play In Preseason Finale

Miami Dolphins running backs Raheem Mostert (undisclosed) and Jeff Wilson Jr. (undisclosed) are not expected to play in Saturday's preseason finale, according to David Furones of the Sun Sentinel. We know nothing about Mostert's injury and very little about Wilson's, other than the fact that he left practice early on Aug. 9 and hasn't played in a single preseason game. With rookie De'Von Achane (shoulder) also sidelined, players like Myles Gaskin, Salvon Ahmed, and Chris Brooks will all get a chance to show why they deserve a final roster spot.

Raheem Mostert Scores Touchdown In Preseason Week 2

Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert rushed six times for 30 yards and a touchdown during Saturday's win over the Houston Texans. He played two drives in the contest: an opening series that culminated in a quick interception, and a subsequent possession capped off by the veteran finding the end zone. As the preseason goes on, Mostert will look to separate himself as the top option in the Dolphins' backfield, though he faces stiff competition in the form of Jeff Wilson Jr. and De'Von Achane. Consider Mostert a high-end RB4 heading into the 2023 fantasy football season.

Raheem Mostert Looks Fresh At Dolphins Camp

Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert looks a lot healthier during training camp than he did last season when he first joined the team, according to Travis Wingfield of MiamiDolphins.com. Mostert suffered a torn ACL early in the 2021 season, so he was still coming off of the injury in 2022. Now, he looks fresh and at full strength during practice. The 31-year-old still has blazing speed and posted 357 scrimmage yards in the team's final four games as he got further away from the ACL tear. While De'Von Achane is an exciting rookie in the Miami backfield, Mostert should still command plenty of touches in 2023.

De'Von Achane Returns To Tuesday's Practice

Miami Dolphins rookie running back De'Von Achane (undisclosed) has returned to the practice field. The speedster only missed a couple of days of practice after sustaining the injury Saturday. The undersized 21-year-old is impressing coaches with his world-class speed, but he'll still have to work for touches in a crowded backfield. Veterans Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson Jr. will have a role, and the team has been potentially linked to free agent Dalvin Cook. The rookie is likely to deliver big plays this season, making him worthy of a late-round flier in fantasy drafts.
