  • Todd Gurley II Gets Juicy Matchup In Week 7

Atlanta Falcons running back Todd Gurley II is in a good position to put up strong fantasy numbers against the Lions Defense in Week 7. Ironically enough, the former Ram saw his largest workload of the season in Week 6- 23 touches- but had his worst showing of the year, as game script forced the Falcons to take to the air. With at least 15 touches in every game this year, Gurley II can be trusted as a solid RB2, though there's upside for more against the Lions' 22nd-ranked run defense. If the game lives up to its over-under of 55, Gurley II could put together a top-12 finish at the position.

  • Todd Gurley II Rushes For 47 Yards

Atlanta Falcons running back Todd Gurley II finished this week's win over the Vikings with 20 carries for 47 yards and three receptions for 20 yards on four targets. It was an off-day for Gurley this week after he finished with over 100 rushing yards last week. Nevertheless, he has gotten at least 14 carries in all six games and his role as RB1 on the team is not in jeopardy by any means. Gurley should remain in the RB2 tier most weeks.

  • Todd Gurley II A Solid RB2 In Week 6

Atlanta Falcons running back Todd Gurley II is a worthy starter this week against Minnesota. The RB has offered minimal receiving value, but has seen at least 14 carries in all five games and posted a season-best 121 rushing yards last week. He also has four rushing touchdowns in the past three games. The Vikings are middle-tier in points allowed to fantasy backs, supporting Gurley's value as a great start this week.

  • Todd Gurley II Has Vintage Performance

Atlanta Falcons running back Todd Gurley II enjoyed his best game of the season, totaling 150 scrimmage yards on 18 touches along with a rushing score. Gurley II gashed the Carolina defense repeatedly for 8.6 yards per carry, including a 35-yard scamper, his 5th score of the season and 75th of his career. It's fair to wonder if the Falcons should have leaned on Gurley II more, given how ineffective the passing game was. Still, there were a lot of things to like for his fantasy managers, including the four receptions he hauled in, a season-high. Gurley II has an incredibly juicy schedule coming up against teams who struggle to defend the run- the Vikings, Lions and Panthers again.

  • Todd Gurley II Gets Great Matchup In Week 5

Atlanta Falcons running back Todd Gurley II gets a great matchup against the Panthers in Week 5. Carolina has been gashed by the run this year, as they've allowed the second-most fantasy points to opposing halfbacks. Gurley II comes into the contest with 65 rushing attempts, which ranks eighth in the NFL, and four touchdowns, which ties him for second among rushers. He's averaged just 3.9 yards per carry and it hasn't been pretty, but he has to be looked at as an RB2 simply because of the volume. Gurley II should be started this week and has a good chance to exceed the 100-yard mark for the first time this season.

  • Todd Gurley II Scores Two Touchdowns

Atlanta Falcons running back Todd Gurley II was the lone bright spot in the Week 4 loss to Green Bay in which the entire offense looked out of sync. The back posted 16 carries for 57 yards and two scores. The former Ram has seen at least 14 carries in four games this season and has posted at least 56 rushing yards in all of them along with getting a touchdown in three of four games. Gurley's high usage on this offense keeps him in the RB2 tier going forward.

  • Todd Gurley II A Solid RB2 In Week 4

Atlanta Falcons running back Todd Gurley II is an RB2 for the Week 4 clash against the Packers. Though he hasn't been a factor in the receiving game, Gurley has seen no less than 14 carries and 56 rushing yards in a game this season. His role as the lead back is not in peril and as long as he stays healthy, the RB will see decent volume each week. The Packers have allowed the third-most points to fantasy RBs, meaning Gurley has great value for this week.

  • Todd Gurley II Picks Up 82 Scrimmage Yards, Scores Once

Atlanta Falcons running back Todd Gurley II carried the ball 14 times for 80 rushing yards and a score while catching both targets for two receiving yards in a heartbreaking loss to the Bears. Gurley II ran well, picking up good chunks of yards, including a long of 16 yards. It's worth wondering whether Atlanta should have gone to Gurley II more often in the second half, holding onto a lead that kept dwindling as they instead elected to pass the ball. Still, despite teammate Brian Hill ripping off a long score, this was a good day for Gurley II and his fantasy managers. Up next is a Week 4 matchup with Green Bay, who has been susceptible to the run in 2020.

  • Todd Gurley II A Low-End RB2 In Week 3

Atlanta Falcons running back Todd Gurley II gets a seemingly tough matchup against the Bears. Chicago has allowed the 11th-fewest rushing yards to opposing backs, though they did it against an uninspiring Lions backfield and a Giants offense that lost running backSaquon Barkley (knee) early in the game. Gurley quietly ranks eighth in rushing attempts and should be able to find running room against the Bears. He may not look like the 2018 version of himself, but Gurley can certainly put up RB2 numbers with the kind of volume he's getting. If he gets more involved as a receiver, it will be gravy for his fantasy managers. Plug him into lineups as an RB2/flex for Week 3.

  • Todd Gurley Finishes With 21 Carries

Atlanta Falcons running back Todd Gurley II finished the Week 2 loss to the Cowboys with 21 rushes for 61 yards. Despite a high-scoring affair, it was the aerial attack of the Falcons that did most of the damage. On the bright side, Gurley has had essentially no competition for his RB1 role on the team, and Ito Smith had the second-most carries with only five. Given Gurley's steady role, he should be an RB2 during most weeks.

  • Todd Gurley II An RB2 For Week 2

Atlanta Falcons running back Todd Gurley II is a solid RB2 for the Week 2 matchup against the Cowboys. The 26-year-old took on the workhorse role for the team in Week 1, as expected, and got 56 rushing yards and a score on 14 carries. The second-most carries belonged to Brian Hill, but that was only three. This is good news for the former Ram, as he will be able to take on the bulk of carries for Atlanta each week. Dallas just allowed a decent game to the Rams running backs, fueling Gurley's value for this week.

  • Todd Gurley II Finds The End Zone In Week 1

Atlanta Falcons running back Todd Gurley II carried the ball 14 times for 56 rushing yards with a touchdown in a 38-25 loss to the Seahawks. Gurley II didn't get much work in the passing game and managed an average 4.0 yards per carry. Still, head coach Dan Quinn indicated that game script shifted the team's focus away from the run more than he would have liked, which robbed the star back from any further production. It is also likely that Quinn didn't want to run Gurley II out there for 20-plus carries in Week 1, especially with his health concerns. The 25-year-old will look to get more of a bigger workload against Dallas in Week 2.

  • Todd Gurley II A Good Bet To Find The End Zone In Week 1

Atlanta Falcons running back Todd Gurley II will face a familiar foe in his Week 1 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. There were some question marks regarding Gurley II's health, though he alleviated some of those concerns with a strong training camp. The matchup against Seattle isn't the greatest, but the 26-year-old has enjoyed success against their defense in the past. In his last five games against the Seahawks, Gurley II has exceeded 50 rushing yards and scored at least one touchdown. In a potentially high-scoring game, Gurley II is a good bet to find the end zone at least once. Slot him into your lineup as an RB2 this week.

  • Todd Gurley II Shines In Scrimmage

Atlanta Falcons running back Todd Gurley II looked great in the team's final training camp scrimmage on Thursday. Gurley II has put together a couple really nice scrimmages for Atlanta in training camp and has earned the praise of his teammates, most recently, fullback Keith Smith and tackle Jake Matthews. The 26-year-old appears to be fully healthy and is slated for a minimum of 15 touches per week in a Falcons offense that could be in a lot of fantasy-friendly matchups in 2020. Expecting top-flight RB1 numbers is probably unrealistic, though fantasy managers can feel pretty good selecting Gurley II as their RB2 at his current ADP of 28. It wouldn't be a bad idea for managers to invest some draft capital in backup Brian Hill, who is looking like a great insurance policy if something were to happen to Gurley II.

  • Todd Gurley II Expected To See 15-25 Touches Per Game

Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter sees 15 to 25 touches per game for new running back Todd Gurley II this year, provided his left knee remains healthy. Gurley is currently on a load-management plan in training camp and didn't have a heavy workload in the team's scrimmage on Monday. Gurley's fantasy stock has fallen due to knee issues in recent seasons, but he still ran for 857 yards and added 31 catches for 207 yards and 14 total touchdowns in his final season with the Rams. He averaged 16.9 touches per game in 2019, which was off his career average of 20.3. Gurley played in 15 games last year, but he'll also be playing half his games in 2020 on turf. The Falcons like what they've seen from Gurley in training camp. In an offense that can put up plenty of points, Gurley could come at a nice value as a high-end RB2 in his first year in Atlanta.

  • Todd Gurley Could See Less Reps For Training Camp

Atlanta Falcons running back Todd Gurley II may not see a heavy set of reps during training camp and he was seen with a limp, per ESPN. The 26-year-old has been nursing a knee injury dating back to his tenure with the Rams in 2018. Gurley was once an elite fantasy commodity, but has now been set back by injuries. Last season, the back had 857 rush yards, 12 rush touchdowns, 31 receptions, 207 receiving yards, and two receiving touchdowns in 15 games. The Falcons are set to have a high-powered offense this season and Gurley will be the RB1, but the possibility of an injury or missed time will continue to loom over his fantasy value. Because of this, the Georgia product's fantasy value takes a hit and downgrades him to an RB2 for 2020.

  • No Plan Yet For Todd Gurley's Practice Workload

Atlanta Falcons running back Todd Gurley is in "fantastic shape" according to head coach Dan Quinn, who spoke to reporters on Tuesday via a Zoom call. Quinn noted that there's no plan yet for Gurley's workload, but that he'd like to spend a couple weeks with the former All-Pro back before coming to a decision. Atlanta is excited about their new running back but rightfully concerned about his left knee, which caused the Rams to feed him the lowest number of carries since his rookie season. The days of Gurley being a no-doubt, fantasy RB1 are probably behind him, though he could make for an interesting RB2 on squads this year if he's fully healthy.
