  • Mike Davis Not Involved On Sunday

Baltimore Ravens running back Mike Davis ran for four yards off five touches during the loss to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. Unsurprisingly, the 29-year-old wasn't involved. However, neither were Justice Hill and Kenyan Drake, who combined for nine carries. Instead, Lamar Jackson led the way, with the signal-caller rushing for 119 yards and a touchdown off nine attempts. With that said, Davis isn't expected to see much work moving forward, especially once Gus Edwards (knee) and J.K. Dobbins (knee) are back in the mix fully. At this point, Davis shouldn't be on any fantasy roster, so managers should strongly consider cutting ties with him ahead of the Ravens' Week 3 trip to New England.

  • Mike Davis Fantasy Outlook Hinges On Dobbins' Availability

Baltimore Ravens running back Mike Davis' fantasy fate hinges on whether J.K. Dobbins (knee) will play. While things aren't looking promising, there remains a chance he'll be on the field against the Jets in Week 1. Granted, if Dobbins suits up, Davis could still see work. However, if Dobbins doesn't, Davis would become a realistic option in some formats. The 29-year-old is coming off an underwhelming season in Atlanta. Yet, during Davis' days in Carolina, he was a relatively reliable fill-in for Christian McCaffrey while he was hurt. Nonetheless, fantasy managers should wait for an update on Dobbins before deciding. Kenyan Drake and Justice Hill will be involved in some capacity, but Davis may get enough work to be a desperation option in deeper leagues.

  • Ravens To Use Committee Approach At Running Back

The Baltimore Ravens are expected to go with the hot hand at running back in Week 1, according to offensive coordinator Greg Roman. This was already a frustrating situation for fantasy managers, but there doesn't appear to be a solution in sight. Gus Edwards (knee) will miss the first four games of the season. J.K. Dobbins (knee) is uncertain to play in Week 1, while he nurses an injury. That leaves, Mike Davis, Justice Hill, and Kenyan Drake to split up the carries. It's tough to consider any of these backs as streaming options even against a favorable defense such as the New York Jets.

  • Mike Davis Gets A Few Touches On Saturday Evening

Baltimore Ravens running back Mike Davis ran the ball twice for no yards during the preseason encounter with the Washington Commanders. Tyler Badie led all Ravens' rushers on Saturday night, amassing 12 yards off five attempts. Nevertheless, Davis' fantasy outlook hinges on the Week 1 availability of J.K. Dobbins (knee) and Gus Edwards (knee). Although the former has a better chance of being ready to roll, neither man may see the field enough initially to keep Davis completely out of the fantasy conversation. However, his fantasy potential will be more promising if both aren't in uniform for the season opener against the New York Jets.

  • Mike Davis Could Have Significant Workload Early On

Baltimore Ravens running back Mike Davis is likely to get plenty of touches early in the season. Fellow back Gus Edwards (knee) is going to miss the first four games considering he was placed on the PUP list. Also, J.K. Dobbins (knee) is expected to be eased into action after his ACL injury from last season. That being said, Davis appears to be in a good spot to get actively involved early in the season. Davis had some nice moments with the Atlanta Falcons last season. He should be able to carve out RB3 or flex value, assuming he gets a decent workload.

  • Mike Davis Logs Six Carries Versus Arizona

Baltimore Ravens running back Mike Davis finished with 18 yards off six carries during the win over Arizona on Sunday evening. Tyler Badie had 34 yards off 12 attempts while adding two catches and a touchdown. However, assuming J.K. Dobbins (knee) and Gus Edwards (knee) aren't available for Week 1, Davis remains the favorite to be the primary option out of the backfield heading into the regular season. Still, once Dobbins and Edwards are in uniform, Davis could see a gradual decline in production on the fantasy end. Yet, for those with room to spare, he's at least worth keeping around as an insurance policy.

  • Mike Davis Finds The End Zone On Thursday Night

Baltimore Ravens running back Mike Davis had five carries for 22 yards during the preseason win over the Tennessee Titans. He also scored a touchdown off a four-yard carry in the first quarter. With J.K. Dobbins (knee) and Gus Edwards (knee) both without a definitive return date, Davis may handle a majority of the snaps out of the backfield until either is ready to take the field. Tyler Badie, Corey Clement, and Justice Hill are also currently on the roster and could get some work. However, Davis has the highest upside for fantasy managers if he finds himself starting at any point in 2022-23.
