Amari Cooper Won't Take Practice Field On Wednesday

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper (concussion/ribs) is not practicing on Wednesday. The veteran exited the Week 13 loss to the Los Angeles Rams after taking a big hit and was evaluated for a concussion and rib injury. Although there's no update on whether he could play in Week 14 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, his absence from practice to begin the week is not a good sign. If he can't play, Elijah Moore will become an appealing flex option. Moore saw 12 targets in his first game with Joe Flacco, so his upside might be higher than it was with previous quarterbacks. The Jaguars have allowed the seventh-most fantasy points per game to wide receivers this season.

Amari Cooper Won't Return In Week 13

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper (head) won't return to Sunday's matchup with the Rams. The wideout had three catches for 34 yards before getting sandwiched between two defenders, ending his day. Cooper was also ruled out in Week 12 due to a rib injury, so the latest ailment could be enough to keep him off the field for the Week 14 clash with the Jaguars. If that's the case, Elijah Moore would take over as the No. 1 option on the depth chart.

Amari Cooper Being Evaluated For A Concussion

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper (head) exited Sunday's matchup with the Los Angeles Rams. Cooper had three catches for 34 yards before getting sandwiched between two defenders, resulting in his premature departure. But now the wideout is potentially dealing with a concussion, and considering he suffered a rib injury in Week 12, his day could be over. For now, fantasy managers should consider Cooper as questionable.

Amari Cooper A WR3 In Week 13

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper suffered a rib injury in a Week 12 loss to the Denver Broncos, catching just two passes for 16 yards before departing. Cooper is on track to play in Week 13 against the Los Angeles Rams despite the injury. He opened the week with a DNP on Wednesday but was upgraded to limited on Thursday and was able to practice fully on Friday. The Rams have been tough on opposing wideouts in 2023 as they are allowing just the 21st-most fantasy points per game to the position. That being said, the Browns will have veteran Joe Flacco under center in Week 13, a fact that might work in Cooper's favor. Flacco should be able to push the ball downfield a bit more than rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson (concussion) had been doing in his past few starts. Fantasy managers can treat Cooper as a WR3 in Week 13.

Amari Cooper Back At Practice Thursday

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper (ribs) returned to Thursday's practice after sitting out on Wednesday with a rib injury he sustained in the Week 12 loss to the Denver Broncos. Cooper is normally rested on Wednesdays, but it's a good sign that he was able to return to the practice field a day later after X-rays showed up negative on his ribs. The 29-year-old could receive a questionable tag on Friday's final Week 13 injury report, but the fact that Cooper practiced on Thursday should mean he's on the right side of questionable. Cooper has only scored twice this year and not since Week 9. Rookie quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson is still in the concussion protocol, so veteran Joe Flacco could be throwing passes to Cooper this weekend against the Los Angeles Rams. Cooper has become a low-upside WR3/flex given the team's shaky QB situation without Deshaun Watson (shoulder). UPDATE: Cooper was limited Thursday.

Amari Cooper Listed As DNP On Wednesday

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper (ribs) was rested at practice on Wednesday. Cooper typically receives a veteran rest day for the first practice day of the week, but this one is notable after he injured his ribs late in the Week 12 loss to the Denver Broncos. The 29-year-old never returned to the game, but the good news is that X-rays came back negative on Cooper's ribs. He might be good to go for the Week 13 game against the Los Angeles Rams, but we'll keep a closer eye on his status the rest of the week. Rookie quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson is in the concussion protocol, so Cooper (if he plays) and the rest of the Browns pass-catchers might be taking passes from veteran Joe Flacco this weekend. Cooper's rest-of-season fantasy stock took a hit once Deshaun Watson (shoulder) was ruled out for the year.

X-Rays Negative On Amari Cooper

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper (rib) was ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's meeting with the Denver Broncos after taking a hard hit in the second half. Fortunately, X-rays were negative, so the wideout appears to have avoided a severe rib injury. However, the team will likely play it safe with Cooper, meaning he could miss practice during the week. For now, fantasy managers should consider him questionable for Week 13 against the Los Angeles Chargers. But if Cooper isn't active, David Njoku, Cedric Tillman, and Elijah Moore could see more targets.

Amari Cooper Officially Ruled Out On Sunday

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper (rib) won't return to Sunday's meeting with the Broncos. The wideout had struggled before his night ended because of a rib injury, catching only two of his six targets for 16 yards. He'll likely undergo further testing to determine the severity of the ailment. But for now, fantasy managers should consider Cooper questionable ahead of the Week 13 contest against the Chargers. If he doesn't play, David Njoku, Cedric Tillman, and Elijah Moore could see more targets from Dorian Thompson-Robinson (concussion) or P.J. Walker, depending on which signal-caller is under center.

Amari Cooper Exits Sunday's Game Against Denver

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper (undisclosed) exited Sunday's meeting with the Denver Broncos. The wideout took a hard shot in the fourth quarter and remained on the ground before eventually going to the locker room. With the Broncos up comfortably, it's unlikely Cooper will return. If that's the case, he'll finish with two catches (six targets) for 16 yards.

Amari Cooper A Low-End WR3 In Week 12

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper struggled a bit with rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson under center in Week 11 as he finished with just four catches for 34 yards on eight targets in the home win. He will now head on the road to face off against a Denver Broncos defense that is allowing just the 22nd-most fantasy points per game to opposing wideouts in 2023. While Cooper was quiet last week, Thompson-Robinson directed 15 targets to David Njoku and another seven to Elijah Moore. It appears that the Browns will look to keep the majority of their pass attempts close to the line of scrimmage with Thompson-Robinson under center, which will limit Cooper's upside moving forward. Treat Cooper as a low-end WR3 heading into Week 12.

Amari Cooper Goes For 34 Yards In Week 11 Win

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper caught four of his eight targets for 34 yards in a 13-10 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 11. Cooper turned in a quiet effort with the Browns mostly keeping their passes close to the line of scrimmage. Most of his damage came on back-to-back catches on the team's final drive of the first half. Cooper had been trustworthy as a WR2 in fantasy with Deshaun Watson under center but it is apparent that he is more of a boom/bust flex option now that Watson is out for the remainder of the season. That being said, he does draw a favorable matchup against the Denver Broncos on the road in Week 12.

Amari Cooper A WR3 In Week 11

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper will take on the Pittsburgh Steelers at home in Week 11. Cooper has been playing his best football of the season of late as he's gotten to at least 89 receiving yards in four of the past five games. The Steelers have been a favorable matchup for wide receivers this season as they are allowing the sixth-most fantasy points per game to the position. That being said, Cooper will be catching passes from rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson, not Deshaun Watson (shoulder) this week, which puts a damper on his fantasy outlook. The last time Cooper and DTR played together, the former caught just one of six targets for 16 yards. Cooper should be treated as a mid-range WR3/flex option heading into Week 11.

Amari Cooper A High-End WR3 In Week 10

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper will suit up to take on the Baltimore Ravens on the road in Week 10. Cooper is listed without an injury designation as he prepares for his team's important divisional matchup. As has been the plan for the past several weeks, Cooper missed practice on Wednesday with a "not injury related-rest, ankle" designation before getting in a limited practice on Thursday and a full practice on Friday. Cooper was quiet back in Week 4 when these two teams met, catching just one ball for 16 yards. That being said, that was the first game that Deshaun Watson missed due to a shoulder injury. The Ravens have been tough on opposing wide receivers this season as they are allowing just the 27th-most fantasy points per game to the position. Treat Cooper as a high-end WR3 heading into Week 10.

Amari Cooper Cleared To Play In Week 10

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper (rest, ankle) logged a full practice on Friday and has been removed from the final injury report. He will be active for Sunday's contest against the Baltimore Ravens. The 29-year-old has played in all eight games so far this season, amassing 35 receptions for 617 yards and two touchdowns. He's a somewhat risky fantasy play for this week considering he caught just one pass for 16 yards when the Browns faced the Ravens earlier this season. For the time being, fantasy managers should view him as a mid-to-low WR3/FLEX option.

Amari Cooper Limited During Thursday's Practice

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper (ankle, rest) was a limited participant during Thursday's practice. Fantasy managers shouldn't be too worried as Cooper should be fine heading into Week 10. Cooper sat out on Wednesday for rest purposes and was likely limited on Thursday for the same reason. The stud wideout has been dealing with an ankle issue throughout the season. The Browns are likely just limiting his reps in order to keep him healthy going forward. Fantasy managers should be able to count on Cooper as a WR2 in Week 10, barring any setbacks to his ankle.

Amari Cooper Misses Practice On Wednesday For Rest

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper (NIR rest, ankle) did not practice on Wednesday for "not injury related" rest and an ankle issue. Cooper has been dealing with an ankle issue throughout the season and has not missed a game as a result so Wednesday's DNP was more about rest for the veteran wideout. He's coming off a season-high 139-yard performance in a Week 9 win over the Cardinals so he should be good to go for Sunday's divisional tilt against the Baltimore Ravens. Fantasy managers still should keep tabs on his practice status for the rest of the week, however.

Amari Cooper A WR2 Vs. Cardinals In Week 9

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper (rest/ankle) practiced fully on Friday and is listed without an injury designation heading into a Week 9 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. Cooper did not practice on Wednesday with a "not injury related-rest/ankle" tag and was then upgraded to a limited session on Thursday. His ability to practice fully is a good sign, as is the fact that Deshaun Watson (shoulder) will be back under center after missing three of the past four games. Cooper should fare well against a Cardinals defense that is allowing the 11th-most fantasy points per game to opposing receivers in 2023. Treat Cooper as a low-end WR2 in Week 9.

Amari Cooper Gets In Limited Practice

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper (ankle) was a limited participant during Thursday's practice session. Fantasy managers shouldn't be alarmed as Cooper will almost certainly suit up for this game. This appears to be the Browns just being cautious with Cooper and limiting his reps. He hauled in six receptions for 89 yards during last week's loss. The expectation is that Cooper can be a solid WR2 for the upcoming matchup versus the Arizona Cardinals. Fantasy managers should check back after Friday's session to see if Cooper's status changes at all.

Amari Cooper Goes For 89 Yards In Week 8 Loss

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper caught six of his 11 targets for 89 yards in a 24-20 loss to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 8. Cooper was coming off of a disappointing two-catch performance in Week 7, so fantasy managers were surely happy to see him get going in the loss to Seattle. The veteran wideout has been very boom/bust this season, as has been the case for much of his career. That being said, he remains the clear-cut No. 1 target in Cleveland, which earns him every-week starter status most of the time. He will be a solid play in Week 9 against the Arizona Cardinals.

Amari Cooper A WR3 In Week 8

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper will take on the Seattle Seahawks on the road in Week 8. Cooper struggled in a win over the Indianapolis Colts in Week 7 as he caught just two balls for 22 yards. The Seahawks represent an excellent matchup for Cooper as they are allowing the fourth-most fantasy points per game to wide receivers in 2023. That being said, Cooper will be catching passes from backup P.J. Walker as starter Deshaun Watson (shoulder) was ruled out earlier in the week. Because of the favorable matchup, Cooper should still find his way into most starting lineups this weekend but he should be treated as more of a high-end WR3.

Amari Cooper Disappoints In Week 7

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper caught just two of his eight targets for 22 yards in a 39-38 win over the Indianapolis Colts in Week 7. Cooper failed to capitalize on an exploitable matchup against the Colts' secondary as he and backup quarterback P.J. Walker struggled to get on the same page throughout the afternoon. Cooper has been on up-and-down over his past four games, having topped 100 yards twice and being held under 23 yards in the other two contests. He will look to bounce back against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 8.

Amari Cooper A WR2 In Week 7

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper got in a full practice on Friday after missing Wednesday's session for non-injury-related reasons. In more good news, Cooper could be getting his starting quarterback back in Week 7. Deshaun Watson (shoulder) missed the past two games with a shoulder injury but there are positive signs that he may be returning to action in Week 7 against the Indianapolis Colts. That would be good news for Cooper, who caught just five passes for 124 yards with Cleveland's backup QBs over his past two games. This sets up as a quality matchup for Cooper as the Colts are allowing the 14th-most fantasy points per game to wideouts in 2023. Cooper can be treated as a mid-range WR2 if Watson plays and downgraded to more of a WR3 in fantasy if it is P.J. Walker under center instead.

Amari Cooper Will Play In Week 7

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper (rest, ankle) has been cleared to play against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. The veteran progressed from a non-participant Wednesday to a full participant Friday, at which point he was officially removed from the injury report. The good news continues for Cooper, who is expected to have his starting quarterback, Deshaun Watson (right shoulder), back this week. As a result, Cooper ranks as a steady WR2 in fantasy football.

Amari Cooper Back At Thursday's Practice

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper (rest, ankle) returned to limited activity for Thursday's practice. Cooper didn't participate in practice Wednesday as more of a veteran's maintenance day than anything else, but it's still worth noting that he was back out there on Thursday. The four-time Pro Bowler doesn't appear to be in any danger of missing Week 7's date with the Colts in Indianapolis and we'd expect him to be at Friday's session in some capacity, too. Cooper would be a rock-solid WR2 on Sunday if quarterback Deshaun Watson (shoulder) is able to suit up but would probably warrant a slight downgrade if PJ Walker ends up back at the helm.

Amari Cooper Has Day Off To Begin The Week

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper (rest, ankle) did not partake in the team's practice on Wednesday. According to the Browns, it was a non-injury-related absence for the Pro Bowl wideout after he led the team with 108 yards in the upset win over the San Francisco 49ers. There's no reason to panic about Cooper missing practice this early in the week, and he should be back on the field on Thursday. In a week where six teams are on a bye, the veteran is a solid WR2 in Week 7 against the Indianapolis Colts.

Amari Cooper Goes For 108 Yards In Week 6 Win Over SF

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper caught four of his eight targets for 108 yards in a 19-17 win over the San Francisco 49ers in Week 6. Cooper led the Browns in targets and receiving yards while tying Elijah Moore with four receptions in the upset win. The veteran made several big plays for the Browns, including a 58-yard catch and run and an impressive 28-yard leaping catch down the right sideline. Cooper now has caught 22 passes for 367 yards and a touchdown through five games. He will take on the Indianapolis Colts on the road in Week 7.

Amari Cooper A WR3 In Week 6

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper will suit up against the San Francisco 49ers at home in Week 6. Cooper had his bye in Week 5 but was quiet in his team's Week 4 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, catching just one ball for 16 yards. He could be in for another slow outing as the Browns will be forced to start P.J. Walker with Deshaun Watson (shoulder) still nursing a shoulder injury. The 49ers' secondary isn't a particularly daunting matchup as they are allowing the 16th-most fantasy points per game to receivers, but fantasy gamers will want to temper expectations for Cleveland's No. 1 wideout in Week 6. Treat him as a low-end WR3 heading into Sunday.

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper caught one of his six targets for 16 yards in a 28-3 loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 4. Cooper and the rest of the Cleveland offense struggled with rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson under center as normal starter Deshaun Watson was ruled inactive Sunday morning. Cooper's six targets tied for second on the team but he and Thompson-Robinson were unable to get on the same page throughout the contest. Amari Cooper A WR2 In Week 4 Vs. Ravens

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper is coming off his best game of the season as he caught seven passes for 116 yards and a touchdown in Week 3. More importantly, he has practiced fully this week so far after being a regular name on the injury list due to nagging injuries over the first three weeks of the season. He will now gear up to take on the Baltimore Ravens at home in Week 4. The Ravens have been a great matchup for receivers thus far, allowing the eighth-most fantasy points per game to wideouts through three games. Fantasy gamers can count on Cooper as a high-end WR2 heading into Week 4.

Amari Cooper No Longer On The Injury Report

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper (groin, shoulder) has officially been removed from the injury report after logging back-to-back limited practices on Thursday and Friday. He'll remain the go-to option for Deshaun Watson and could even see more action than before since the run game took a hit after Nick Chubb (knee) went down for the season. Cooper can be deployed into lineups as a high-level WR2 as he played 62% and 72% of the team's snaps in the first two games respectively. He's already seen 17 targets and should see plenty more in this contest against the Titans.

Amari Cooper Returns To Practice Thursday

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper (groin, shoulder) was able to practice in a limited fashion on Thursday after being held out of Wednesday's session. Cooper was questionable to play on Monday night in the loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers due to a groin issue, but he suited up anyway and played well catching seven of 10 targets for 90 yards while playing over 70 percent of the offensive snaps. He may be a little beat up early in the year, but he should be able to suit up this Sunday at home against the Tennessee Titans, where he should continue to serve as quarterback Deshaun Watson's go-to target. The Browns could throw the ball a bit more moving forward, too, now that Nick Chubb (knee) is done for the season.

Amari Cooper Not Practicing Wednesday

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper (groin, shoulder) was held out of practice on Wednesday. Cooper was listed as questionable for the Monday night game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but he suited up and led the team with seven receptions (10 targets) for 90 yards in the loss. He apparently picked up a shoulder injury in the Week 2 game, too, but his absence from the first practice of the week is most likely for rest purposes more than anything. The 29-year-old should be able to play in Week 3 against the Tennessee Titans and should continue to be quarterback Deshaun Watson's go-to target in the passing game as the Browns look to get back on track.

He wound up leading Cleveland in all receiving categories in the disappointing loss, catching seven of his 10 targets for 90 yards, and making several big catches on third downs to extend drives. Amari Cooper Active Against Steelers

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper (groin), who was questionable to play on Monday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers to close out Week 2 action, is active and will suit up. Cooper aggravated a groin injury in practice on Saturday and was looking unlikely to play, but the 29-year-old must have made good progress the last two days and will now give it a go. Fantasy managers might as well roll with him in their starting lineups if they rolled the dice, but he could still easily disappoint if he's less than 100 percent and has his snaps rationed. Cooper had three catches on seven targets in Week 1 for 37 yards. Cooper being active hurts the upside for fantasy managers hoping to get more out of wideouts Elijah Moore and Donovan Peoples-Jones.

However, Brad Stainbrook of ESPN reports the veteran wideout was still in pain this morning and is a true game-time decision.
