25 JuJu Smith-Schuster, PIT 7 24.7 7.12 14.6

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster signed a one-year deal to stay with the team that drafted him instead of moving to another city this past offseason. The veteran receiver will be looking to return to his 2018 form in hopes of scoring a lucrative long-term contract following the upcoming season. Despite scoring nine touchdowns, Smith-Schuster set a career-low mark in yards per catch in 2020 at just 8.6. Part of the downtick can be blamed on the offense, which focused on a short, quick passing attack to hide quarterback Ben Roethlisberger's elbow troubles. Roethlisberger's surgically-repaired elbow reportedly feels much better this season, giving hope that Smith-Schuster will see more downfield plays in 2021. Fantasy gamers drafting the wideout will be gambling on several factors coming to fruition, but Smith-Schuster has high-end WR2 upside if everything aligns for him this year. (Jul 16, )

Mike's Thoughts: Drafted Smith-Schuster 9.06 (86) in a 1QB 10-team best ball on 7/22.

  • Odell Beckham Jr. Won't Open Camp On PUP List

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. passed his physical and will not be placed on the PUP list to begin camp. This is a positive development for Beckham, who is working back from a torn ACL suffered during Week 7 last year. With a clean bill of health, he should be able to participate fully in camp as the team gears up to face the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 1. While Beckham's health is no longer in question, his role in the Cleveland offense is as he has yet to fully live up to the hype after the Browns acquired him two years ago. Beckham is best treated as a WR3 in fantasy leagues.

  • Odell Beckham Jr. Says His Knee Is Feeling Great

While speaking at his youth football camp on Sunday, Cleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (knee) told reporters on Sunday that his knee "is feeling great." Beckham had surgery on his ACL after tearing it during Week 7 of the 2020 season. He would not elaborate on when he would be full-go again as camp opens this week or whether he would be out there for the Week 1 season opener against the Kansas City Chiefs, although he is expected to be. A likely scenario would be for the Browns to bring him along slowly during camp as he ramps up for the regular season. Playing on a run-first offense, Beckham is best treated as a high-end WR3 in fantasy leagues this year.

  • Odell Beckham Jr. A Bounceback Candidate

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (knee) is reportedly progressing well as he works his way back from a torn ACL suffered on October 25. Beckham was able to participate in the team's minicamp in June and was reportedly moving well without any wraps, sleeves, or braces on his surgically repaired knee. Teammate Jarvis Landry also posted a video of Beckham making cuts and running at full speed at "Camp Mayfield", an optional three-day workout session and passing camp for Cleveland offensive players near quarterback Baker Mayfield's home in Texas. Beckham's two-year tenure in Cleveland can be classified as a disappointment but the team's offense really came on strong in 2020 as the players got more comfortable in the Kevin Stefanski offense. Beckham can be drafted as a WR3 this season but he has high-end WR2 upside if everything clicks.

  • Odell Beckham Jr. Looking Good

Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield said that wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (knee) looked "great" on Wednesday at mandatory minicamp. Beckham suffered a torn ACL in Week 7 last year and missed the rest of the 2020 season. "It looks really great," Mayfield said. "After seeing him run and really just talking to him, as well. He feels comfortable. He's still getting used to some of these cuts and certain motions. You're talking about seven months since the (knee) surgery, so it's pretty impressive how quickly he's come back." OBJ has become an injury risk in a run-first offense, so fantasy managers should no longer treat him as a top-15 wideout. But he's currently healthy and his price will be much lower this year, making him a fine high-end WR3 target.
