1 Davante Adams, GB 13 28.6 1.12 25.7

Mike's Thoughts: If we had more certainty on Aaron Rodgers playing this season for the Packers, then Davante Adams moves into the top spot. At this time (7/23), I think Rodgers will play so I'm not too down on Adams. Update (7/27): Rodgers expected to play, Adams up to #1. Drafted Adams 2.05 (15) in a 1QB 10-team best ball on 7/20.

2 Tyreek Hill, KC 12 27.4 1.10 20.3

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill will look to build off of his phenomenal 2020 season in 2021. Hill was a beast this past season and caught 87 of his 135 targets for 1276 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns. He was also dangerous on the ground and rushed 13 times for 123 yards and two touchdowns. Hill scored in all but three contests and remains the top option with tight end Travis Kelce in one of the NFL's most dangerous offenses. Managers should have no concern with utilizing an early pick on Hill or spending a steep price in auction leagues. Hill is a legit WR1 and should continue to put up big numbers in 2021. (Jul 15, )

Mike's Thoughts: It is a little more risky counting on a smaller speed receiver over a bigger, high-catch receiver, but the Mahomes-to-Hill hookup is amazing.

3 Stefon Diggs, BUF 7 27.7 1.12 20.5

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs was reportedly playing through a torn oblique during the entire postseason. Despite that, it sounds like Diggs will be 100 percent healthy for training camp. He is coming off a season where he produced 127 receptions, 1,535 yards, and eight touchdowns in Buffalo. The Bills receivers haven't changed too much besides the departure of John Brown. They brought in veteran Emmanuel Sanders to fill his role. Fantasy managers should lower their expectations slightly. It's unlikely for Diggs to put together that kind of campaign two years in a row. However, Diggs should be one of the first wideouts off the draft board in every format. (Jul 20, )

Mike's Thoughts: The Bills seemed to give up a lot to acquire Diggs from the Vikings but it couldn't have worked out better coinciding with the breakout year for Josh Allen. I don't expect much if any decline from Allen in 2021, making Diggs a reliable top-tier WR. I'm not against some analysts rankings Diggs first overall. Drafted Diggs 2.05 (17) in RazzBowl on 7/26.

  • Extension Talks Falter With Davante Adams, Packers

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams has broken off contract extension talks with the team after months of negotiating. Adams is set to be a free agent at the end of the season and the two sides are now in a 'bad place', according to sources that have been speaking to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. This is the last thing Packers fans need to hear after a roller-coaster offseason embroiled with rumors that quarterback Aaron Rodgers no longer wants to play for the franchise. Adams is at the top of many wide receiver fantasy football depth charts but this development regarding his unhappiness shouldn't knock him off that spot just yet.

  • Davante Adams' Value Tied To Aaron Rodgers' Return

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams will head into training camp as perhaps the No. 1 receiver in all of fantasy football, with one obvious caveat... The Packers have certainly been in the headlines all offseason, and quarterback Aaron Rodgers' discontent with the franchise has led the way. Rodgers' trade demands have not been granted to this point, and as of Tuesday, it appears he will be under center for Green Bay in 2021. This is great news for Adams, however, who is coming off an unbelievable season. Adams racked up 115 receptions on 149 targets, producing 1,374 yards and 18 touchdowns in only 14 games. If Rodgers is the Packers quarterback, Adams will be one of the first wide receivers to come off fantasy draft boards.

  • Davante Adams Is Extremely Versatile

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams averaged 3.1 receiving yards per route run last year, the most in the NFL with a minimum of 150 routes. Adams set a single-season high for percentage of routes run out of the slot at 29.9 percent. When in the slot, he caught 83.6 percent of his targets -- the second-highest rate in the NFL -- and had seven touchdowns. Adams also caught 32 passes for 231 yards and eight touchdowns on 37 targets on outbreaking routes, tying for the most TDs and third-most catches on such routes in the NFL. The 28-year-old faced press coverage on 30.3 percent of his targets, too, while enjoying just 3.2 yards of average separation. Adams had 10.85 targets per game last year, making him the most reliable fantasy wideout. That could change drastically, however, if quarterback Aaron Rodgers is traded or decides to retire because of his unhappiness with the front office.

  • Davante Adams, Other Receivers Missing At OTAs

Green Bay Packers wide receivers Davante Adams, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Allen Lazard, Devin Funchess and Equanimeous St. Brown were all missing during organized team activities on Tuesday. Second-year quarterback Jordan Love, who wasn't active for a single game during his rookie season, had to work with a makeshift wide receiver crew as a result. It's definitely not great news for Love's development, but the Packers wideouts could show up to OTAs eventually. But with Aaron Rodgers' absence related to his rift with the front office, it's curious timing for team's top wideouts to be absent as well. If Rodgers is traded or flat out retires, it would obviously be terrible news for the fantasy values of all of Green Bay's skill players, not just the wideouts.
