Adam Thielen A Decent Option In Week 3

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Adam Thielen turned in a productive game for his team in a Week 2 loss, catching seven of nine targets for 54 yards and a touchdown. Thielen will look to find the end zone again in a Week 3 road matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks represent a plus matchup for Thielen as they are allowing the fourth-most fantasy points per game to wide receivers through the first two games of the season. The Panthers may be forced to start Andy Dalton in Week 3 as Bryce Young is dealing with an ankle injury, but that could be a positive for Thielen as the Panthers' passing attack is ranked last in the league through two games with Young under center. Thielen is on the board as a WR4 heading into Week 3.

Adam Thielen Finds The End Zone In Week 2

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Adam Thielen turned in a big game in a 20-17 loss to the New Orleans Saints in Week 2. Thielen caught seven of his nine targets for 59 yards and a touchdown, leading his team in all receiving categories in the close loss. The veteran wideout's touchdown was a three-yard grab late in the fourth quarter, which he followed up by converting a two-point conversion pass. Thielen had a slow outing in Week 1 but he bounced back as Bryce Young's favorite target in Week 2. He will be a mid-range flex in Week 3 against the Seattle Seahawks.

Adam Thielen - Week 2 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Adam Thielen had a quiet outing in his debut with his new team in Week 1, catching just two passes for 12 yards in a 24-10 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. He will look to bounce back against the New Orleans Saints at home in Week 2. The Saints have been tough on receivers, allowing just the 23rd-most fantasy points per game to the position in 2022. Thielen is best left on fantasy benches for his team's Week 2 showdown against the Saints.

Adam Thielen Quiet In Panthers Debut

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Adam Thielen caught both of his targets for 12 yards in a 24-10 loss to the Atlanta Falcons in Week 1. Thielen came into the game questionable with an ankle injury but he was able to suit up and attempt to play through the injury on Sunday. The veteran wideout was quiet on the afternoon, however, with his two targets tied for the second-fewest on the team. Thielen will look to bounce back at home against the New Orleans Saints in Week 2.

Adam Thielen Officially Active For Week 1

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Adam Thielen (ankle) is officially active for Sunday's season opener against the Atlanta Falcons. He had been listed as questionable after practicing in a limited capacity Friday. With DJ Chark Jr. (hamstring) ruled out, Thielen should see an uptick in volume this week, ranking as a low-end WR3 in fantasy football. Jonathan Mingo, Terrace Marshall Jr., and Laviska Shenault Jr. will play additional snaps, too.

Adam Thielen Anticipated To Play In Week 1

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Adam Thielen (ankle) is expected to play on Sunday against the Falcons. The veteran practiced in a limited fashion on Friday after sitting out Thursday's session. However, it appears Thielen will debut for his new team in Week 1. With DJ Chark Jr. (hamstring) out, the Panthers will need Thielen on the field. But he could see a reduced workload due to his ailment, meaning he's a risky fantasy option for the regular-season opener.

Adam Thielen Returns To Practice, Questionable For Week 1

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Adam Thielen (ankle) returned to practice in a limited capacity on Friday after being sidelined on Thursday. He is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Falcons. With DJ Chark Jr. (hamstring) ruled out, Thielen should see an uptick in volume this week. The same goes for Jonathan Mingo, Terrace Marshall Jr., and Laviska Shenault Jr.

Adam Thielen A WR5 In Week 1

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Adam Thielen (ankle) got in a limited practice on Wednesday but was downgraded to a DNP on Thursday. Thielen's ability to practice on Friday will be a good indication as to his availability for his team's Week 1 road matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. If Thielen suits up, he will face off against a Falcons secondary that allowed the 10th-most fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers in 2022. In an unproven passing attack with a rookie QB at the helm, Thielen sets up as a low-upside WR5 in fantasy if he takes the field in the season opener.

Adam Thielen Listed As Limited On First Injury Report

Carolina Panthers wide receivers Adam Thielen (ankle) and Terrace Marshall Jr. (back) were both listed as limited practice participants on the team's first injury report of the 2023 regular season. DJ Chark Jr. (hamstring) was unable to practice. It's not an ideal situation for the team's receiving corps as rookie first-round quarterback Bryce Young gets set to make his NFL debut against the Atlanta Falcons. Rookie Jonathan Mingo, who could eventually become Young's favorite target in 2023, would likely benefit the most from extra playing time right away if one or more of the injured trio of receivers can't play this Sunday. Laviska Shenault Jr. and Ihmir Smith-Marsette are the only other wideouts on Carolina's active roster.

Offseason In Review: Carolina Panthers

After expressing quick regret on his initial hire as Panthers owner, David Tepper reversed course and prioritized NFL experience. Carolina bailed midway through Year 3 on Matt Rhule‘s seven-year contract, and despite Steve Wilks‘ admirable job moving the team back into the mix for a division title (albeit in a historically bad NFC South), Frank […]

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Adam Thielen caught four of his five targets for 48 yards and a touchdown in a 26-17 loss to the Detroit Lions in preseason action on Friday. Thielen caught Bryce Young's lone touchdown pass, a 16-yard toss, in the first quarter. The veteran wideout also spent a few plays getting medical attention after a big hit but was able to return to action shortly after. Thielen could have a big role to open the season as D.J. Chark is dealing with a hamstring injury that has the potential to be a multi-week injury. Thielen is worth a look as a WR5 heading into fantasy drafts.

Adam Thielen Catches One Ball In Preseason Loss

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Adam Thielen caught his lone target for a seven-yard gain in a 21-19 preseason loss to the New York Giants on Friday. Thielen started alongside D.J. Chark and Jonathan Mingo and played two offensive series with the first team before calling it a day. The veteran wideout has now caught two passes for 15 yards over his first two preseason contests as he gears up for his first season with the Panthers. It remains to be seen how good the Carolina offense is this season but Thielen could provide some flex value in fantasy in 2023.

Adam Thielen Expected To Have Significant Role

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Adam Thielen has been receiving praise from both head coach Frank Reich and team owner David Tepper. The 32-year-old is reportedly the favorite to lead the team in receptions, according to Darin Gantt of Panthers.com. The assumption is that Thielen's ability to run short routes well should mesh well with quarterback Bryce Young. The hope is that it'll lead to a bunch of short touchdowns this year. Thielen saw a drop in production last season, but is expected to be the primary receiving option in Carolina. That being said, Thielen could make for an interesting PPR option during upcoming drafts.

Latest On Terrace Marshall, Panthers' WR Room

The Panthers’ offense will look far different at the start of the 2023 season than it did at the conclusion of the previous campaign. Part of the reason for that is the changes made to the top of the team’s wide receiver depth chart. D.J. Moore was a critical part of the package Carolina sent […]
