Takeaway Thielen is one of the safer top WR choices on the board this season and it surprises me he routinely falls outside the top 10 at the position.

  • Adam Thielen An Excellent Red-Zone Weapon

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen is the team's No. 1 receiver with Stefon Diggs now in Buffalo, and he's made most of his money as a red-zone weapon with eight catches on eight targets for 72 yards and a league-high six touchdowns in the red zone this year. Quarterback Kirk Cousins leads the NFL with a success rate of 66.7 on all of his red-zone targets because of Thielen. Thielen has found success in the red zone on all types of different routes, too. He's 6-for-6 on red-zone targets when lined up out wide, turning five of those targets into touchdowns. Thielen has had 51 receiving yards or less in three games this year, but his red-zone success and chemistry with Cousins makes him a must-start fantasy receiver when the Vikings return from their bye in Week 8 against the Packers.

  • Adam Thielen Chips In Touchdown In Loss

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen caught three passes for 51 yards in the Vikings disappointing 40-23 loss to the Falcons in Week 6. The Vikings offense was submarined by three first-half interceptions by quarterback Kirk Cousins as the team fell behind 23-0 by halftime. Thielen was able to find the end zone, however, connecting with Cousins for a two-yard touchdown score with the game out of reach. Rookie Justin Jefferson was the star in the passing game against Atlanta and Thielen will look for more production next week against the Packers.

  • Adam Thielen Gets Prime Matchup Against Atlanta

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen will go up against an Atlanta Falcons Defense in Week 6 that is allowing the eighth most fantasy points to receivers this season. Thielen is coming off a 114-yard performance against the Texans and will face a Falcons secondary that has allowed 90 or more receiving yards to seven different receivers. Any fantasy team that has players lining up against the Falcons defense needs to be under serious consideration to be in starting lineups. Thielen has a shot at posting WR1 numbers in Week 6.

  • Adam Thielen Has Juicy Matchup Against Seahawks

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen will take on a Seahawks Defense that is allowing the most fantasy points to the wide receiver position through the first four games. Thielen has two 100-yard games under his belt this season and now will face a Seattle secondary that already has allowed seven different receivers to post 100-plus yards against them. The Seahawks are allowing an average of 408.5 passing yards a game to opponents, making Thielen an easy WR1/2 choice in fantasy for Week 5.

  • Adam Thielen Delivers 114 Yards Against Texans

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen caught eight passes for 114 yards and one touchdown in the Vikings 31-23 win over the Texans in Week 4. It was an excellent bounce-back performance for Thielen and the Vikings offense as the veteran receiver also led the team with nine targets. Thielen was catching passes all over the field and the emergence of rookie receiver Justin Jefferson has taken some of the oppositions focus off of Thielen. The veteran has returned to WR1 status heading into Week 5.

  • Adam Thielen Must Step Up Against Texans

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen will go up against a sneaky tough Texans secondary in Week 4. After a huge Week 1 performance, Thielen has only six catches for 60 yards over his last two games. The veteran will go up against a Texans Defense that is allowing the 14th-fewest fantasy points to opposing receivers through three games. The Vikings are still looking for their first win and will need Thielen to step up if they intend on snapping that streak. Expect Thielen to see plenty of targets in Week 4, but his production could fall short of WR1 status against the Texans.

  • Adam Thielen Catches Touchdown, Little Else In Loss

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen caught three passes for 29 yards and one touchdown in the Vikings 31-30 loss to the Titans in Week 3. Thielen played decoy as rookie receiver Justin Jefferson enjoyed a monster day with 175 receiving yards and one score. Thielen did get on the board though, catching a pass from quarterback Kirk Cousins for a 16-yard touchdown. The veteran now has three touchdowns on the season but his production has dipped since posting 6-110-2 in Week 1. Thielen should get more than the five targets he saw against the Titans next week against the Texans.

  • Adam Thielen Has Lukewarm Week 3 Matchup

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen will try and get back on the right track in Week 3 against the Titans. After a promising Week 1, Thielen caught only three passes for 31 yards and the Vikings offense imploded against the Colts. The Vikings will now go up against a Titans Defense that has allowed the 15th most fantasy points to opposing receivers and have not allowed more than 84 yards to a receiver. The Vikings season already is on the line and will need to feature Thielen to achieve success. The veteran receiver will carry WR1 value, albeit with a low floor, in Week 3.

  • Adam Thielen Held To 31 Yards In Brutal Loss

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen caught three passes for 31 yards in the Vikings 28-11 loss to the Colts. Thielen led the team with eight targets on a day when quarterback Kirk Cousins played extremely poorly. Thielen is an unquestioned WR1 in fantasy but the Vikings offense has plenty of work to do. The talented receiver will try and get back on track in Week 3 against the Titans.

  • Adam Thielen Ready To Keep It Rolling In Week 2

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen enjoyed a fantastic Week 1 and will look to keep it going against the Colts in Week 2. Thielen caught six passes for 110 yards and two touchdowns against the Packers and now will face a Colts Defense that was put on its heels, at times, against the Jaguars last week. Thielen is the unquestionable number one target for quarterback Kirk Cousins and the veteran receiver will need a strong performance if the Vikings hope to pick up their first win of the season. Thielen will be a top-8 selection among wide receivers heading into Week 2.

  • Adam Thielen Shines In Week 1 Loss

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen caught six passes for a team-high 110 yards and two touchdowns in the Vikings 43-34 loss to the Packers. Thielen saw eight targets in the game, most importantly a 19-yard and 37-yard receptions for touchdowns. After an injury-plagued season in 2019, Thielen is off to an elite start. The veteran should be considered a WR1 fantasy option heading into Week 2.

  • Adam Thielen Will See Targets Against Green Bay

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen should see plenty of targets Week 1 against the Packers. Thielen's 2019 was derailed by injuries but returns as the unquestioned number one receiver in the Vikings offense. He will go up against a Packers Defense that allowed the 11th fewest fantasy points to opposing receivers last season. Fantasy team's do need to keep in mind that quarterback Kirk Cousins has struggled mightily against the Packers the past few seasons. But that could also entail that the ball will go to the players Cousins trusts most and Thielen certainly is one of those. The veteran receiver's fantasy value will be maximized most in PPR-formats for Week 1.

  • Adam Thielen Ready For Tons Of Targets

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen should be in line for plenty of targets in 2020. The Vikings traded deep-threat Stefon Diggs in the offseason and then drafted Justin Jefferson early in the draft to replace him. While Jefferson learns the ropes of the NFL game, expect quarterback Kirk Cousins to lean on Thielen heavily early on in the season. The 30-year-old battled injuries last season but combined for 204 receptions with 2,649 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2017 and '18. Thielen will be a solid WR1 selection in upcoming fantasy drafts.
