Cordarrelle Patterson Finds The End Zone In Week 18
Atlanta Falcons running back Cordarrelle Patterson scored a two-yard rushing touchdown in the team's 30-17 Week 18 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The veteran running back ended the 2022 season with eight rushing touchdowns, a career-high. Furthermore, the former first-round pick has found the end zone in three of the past four games. While he has played well this season, Patterson's future is up in the air. Tyler Allgeier has taken over as the lead back and has shown starter potential for next year. Atlanta might decide to release the veteran and roll with the rookie. Even if he returns next season, Patterson will take a backseat to Allgeier.

The veteran running back had 13 rushing attempts for 44 yards and a pair of touchdowns in Week 9 against the Los Angeles Chargers, his first game back from knee surgery. Whether the former first-round pick saw a light workload because of the short week or not, fantasy players have to be frustrated with the Atlanta running game. Patterson had fewer rushing attempts than Tyler Allgeier and only one more than fourth-string running back Avery Williams. Hopefully, he sees a normal workload in Week 11 against the Chicago Bears.
