  • Travis Kelce Redraft League Winner
Jul 16 · By Jeff Smith for Draft Buddy
Takeaway Travis Kelce provides a distinct advantage to your fantasy team given his production and lack of quality options at the tight end position. Target him in the second round of redraft leagues.

  • Travis Kelce Has Tough Week 7 Matchup

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is coming off a two-touchdown performance in Week 6 against the Buffalo Bills, but he draws a tough matchup against a Broncos Defense that hasn't allowed an opposing tight end to score a touchdown since allowing two in Week 1, and they have allowed just 49 yards a game to opposing tight ends. Kelce is a different breed compared to most at his position, though, and he should still have plenty of opportunities in an explosive offensive attack with the best quarterback in the game inPatrick Mahomes throwing him the ball. Kelce might not be the best play in DFS in Week 7, but he should be fired up as TE1 in weekly leagues.

  • Chiefs Love To Look Travis Kelce's Way In Red Zone

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has four receiving touchdowns and five catches on six targets when he's shifted in motion before the snap in the red zone, which leads the league. Kelce also has a league-high two red-zone scores on corner routes and is a perfect 2-for-2 on those targets for 22 red-zone receiving yards. The 6-foot-5, 260-pounder has a big size advantage over most defensive backs in that part of the field. In total, he has five red-zone touchdowns on seven catches (10 targets) for 53 receiving yards this year. Kelce caught both of quarterback Patrick Mahomes' touchdown passes on Monday night against the Bills. He'll look to extend his touchdown streak to three games this week against Denver, where he'll be the top fantasy tight end.

  • Travis Kelce Scores Twice In Week 6

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce made fantasy managers proud on Monday by scoring a pair of touchdowns on five receptions for 65 yards. Kelce did have a fumble, but that was his only error for the night. Kelce continues to operate as a top option for quarterback Patrick Mahomesalongside wide receiver Tyreek Hill. The tight end is the best at his position, and fantasy managers have to be happy with their early investment in him. Kelce should be started every week and will be a TE1 versus the Denver Broncos heading into Week 7.

  • Travis Kelce Should Continue To Produce In Week 6

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce will face the Buffalo Bills in what should be a favorable matchup in Week 6. The Bills will have their hands full against the Chiefs offense and Kelce should benefit versus a defense that is allowing 7.8 catches and 83.6 yards to opposing tight ends. Kelce has continued to put together a strong season and along with wide receiver Tyreek Hill operates as the 1a and 1b options in the Chiefs passing game. Kelce is the top tight end in the league and is also one of the best position players in weekly leagues. He should be fired up as a TE1 every week and is worth investing in for DFS in Week 6.

  • Travis Kelce Records 8 Grabs

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce led the team with eight catches for 108 yards and a touchdown in Sundays loss versus the Las Vegas Raiders. Kelce was coming off of a poor performance from his standards in Week 4, but more than made up for it in Week 5. Kelce along with wide receiver Tyreek Hill will continue to function has the top options in the Chiefs offense. Kelce remains the top option at his position against the Bills in Week 6 and should continue to be started every week.

  • Travis Kelce Looks To Bounce Back Versus Raiders

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce will look to give the Las Vegas Raiders defense trouble in Week 5. The Raiders defense has struggled for the most part this season, but they have held opposing tight ends to just 11 receptions, 100 yards and touchdown in four games. Kelce, of course is a different breed and operates as part of the 1a and 1b combination with wide receiver Tyreek Hill as receiving options for Patrick Mahomes. Kelce only had three receptions in Week 4 against the Patriots, but they went for 70 yards. Kelce should have a good chance to put up big numbers against a Raiders defense allowed 388.8 yards per game and 30 points. He should be fired up as a TE1 every week of the season.

  • Travis Kelce Hauls In Three Catches

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce was held to three catches in Week 4 against the New England Patriots. The good news is that he picked up 70 yards. The Patriots have dominated against the tight end position this season and its no surprise that Kelce didnt breakout in this matchup. Kelce still put together a fine line for managers and remains the top tight end in the game. Kelce should see better results against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 5.

  • Travis Kelce Faces Tough Task In Week 4

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce will draw a tough matchup against the Patriots in Week 4. Kelce is the top option with wide receiver Tyreek Hill for quarterback Patrick Mahomes, but the Patriots have done a stellar job against the tight end position in 2020. The Patriots have only allowed eight receptions, 73 yards and a touchdown to tight ends in three weeks and had their way with Darren Waller in Week 3 against the Raiders. Kelce is arguably the best tight end in the game and should be started every week, but those in DFS may want to check out other options in Week 4.

  • Travis Kelce Catches Six Balls

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce continued his strong season on Monday against the Ravens. Kelce hauled in six balls for 87 yards and remains one of the top options in the Chiefs offense. Kelce now has six or more catches in three games and should be treated as the best at his position. The tight end will face off against the Patriots in Week 4. He should be safely started every week by owners.

  • Travis Kelce In Line For Big Week 3

Although the Baltimore Ravens have been one of the best defenses through two weeks, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce remains a strong option in Week 3. The Ravens Defense is only allowing 305 yards per game and 11.5 points per game, but they have allowed 15 receptions, 148 yards and two touchdowns to tight ends this season. With Patrick Mahomes likely to be pressured, look for him to look Kelces way early and often. Kelce is coming off of a strong week and is the number one player at his position. He makes for a good DFS option and should be started every week by managers.

  • Travis Kelce Has Strong Week 2

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce proved on Sunday why hes talked about as the best at his position. The big tight end was the number one target of quarterback Patrick Mahomes and put together a strong line of nine receptions, 90 yards and a touchdown versus the Chargers on 14 targets. In a powerful offense with numerous weapons, Kelce seems to be the one constant that managers could count on every week to produce results. Kelce will draw the Ravens in a Week 3 battle and should always be started by managers.

  • Travis Kelce Has Struggled Versus Chargers In His Career

Despite being arguably the best tight end option in the league, Kansas City Chiefs tight endTravis Kelce has generally struggled versus the Chargers. Kelce will go up against the Chargers on Sunday, but he has never eclipsed the 100-yard mark and only owns one touchdown in his 12 career games against the division rivals. Kelce hauled in all six targets in Week 1 and chipped in a touchdown to go along with 50 yards. The Chargers have held the tight end standout to just 41 yards per game throughout his career, and owners in DFS should take notice, as this may not be the best week to start the All-Pro. Managers in weekly leagues should still roll out one of the game's best at his position, but shouldnt expect the huge numbers he is capable of in Week 2.

  • Travis Kelce Goes For 60 Yards And A Touchdown

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce had five grabs for 60 yards and a touchdown on Thursday night against the Texans. Kelce had a strong first half, but the Texans Defense adjusted to him in the second half. The leagues top tight end still had a solid evening and should continue to do so as the season goes on. Part of the most explosive offense in the game, managers should feel confident treating the games top tight end at WR1/WR2 status. The tight end will face off against the Chargers on Sunday a team that he put up 126 yards against with a touchdown and 10 receptions in 2019.

  • Travis Kelce Practices In Full Tuesday

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce (knee) was a full participant in Tuesday's practice after being limited on Monday. Kelce was never in doubt to miss Thursday's season opener against the Houston Texans, but it is nice to see him back to complete health. The 30-year-old is coming off of his fourth-straight season with over 80 receptions and 1000 receiving yards. He has been the top fantasy TE in PPR formats for the past three seasons and shows no signs of slowing down in the Chiefs potent offense. He is a must-start option in Week 1 against a Texans Defense that he torched in the 2019 AFC Divisional Round.

  • Travis Kelce Inks Four-Year Extension With Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs and tight end Travis Kelce agreed to a four-year, $57.25 million extension on Thursday, including $28 million in guarantees according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The All-Pro tight end had two years and $46 million remaining on his original deal, which was signed back in January of 2016. The Chiefs have spent big to keep their explosive core together this offseason as they doled out a 10-year extension to quarterback Patrick Mahomes that could be worth around $500 million. Kelce led all tight ends in 2019 with 97 catches and 1,229 receiving yards. He should be the second tight end off the board in fantasy drafts after San Francisco's George Kittle.
