  • Russell Wilson Goes Under 200 Yards In Loss To Panthers

Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson's disappointing first season in Denver continued in the 23-10 loss to the Carolina Panthers in Week 12. Wilson went 19-for-35 on the day for 142 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions while being sacked three times. He ran the ball twice for eight yards and also lost a fumble in yet another poor performance with the Broncos falling to 3-8 on the season. The Broncos' offensive line isn't doing Wilson any favors, but the 33-year-old signal-caller just isn't playing good football, either. It didn't help that he was again without receiver Jerry Jeudy (ankle), but even if Jeudy returns in Week 13 against the Baltimore Ravens, Wilson will be a low-upside, low-end QB2 in fantasy.

  • Russell Wilson A Low-End QB2 Against Panthers

Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson has had an extremely disappointing season in his first year in Denver. He enters a Week 12 road matchup against the Carolina Panthers as the QB22 in overall fantasy points and he's thrown more than one touchdown in just one game in 2022 in Week 4 against the Las Vegas Raiders. In the rematch against Vegas last weekend, Wilson completed a season-high 77.42 percent of his 31 attempts, but he went for just 247 yards and no touchdowns. There's no reason to think he'll suddenly go off this Sunday against a middle-of-the-pack Panthers pass defense, especially since Wilson will be without receiver Jerry Jeudy (ankle) for the second straight game. Wilson has proven he's a low-end QB2 this year in fantasy without much upside at all.

  • Russell Wilson Produces Mediocre Stats In Week 11

Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson completed 24 of 31 passes for 247 yards, zero touchdowns, and zero interceptions against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 11. He added eight rushing yards but was also sacked three times. Even against a subpar Raiders defense, Wilson's production was unappealing. He'll remain a low-end QB2 against the Panthers next Sunday.

About a month after he said he would continue to call offensive plays, Broncos head coach Nathaniel Hackett has had a change of heart. • Russell Wilson Has A Good Matchup Against Raiders

Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson has a good matchup in Week 11 against the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders, but can he deliver for fantasy managers? Wilson had his best fantasy performance against the Raiders back in Week 4, when he went 17-for-25 for 237 yards and two touchdowns, also adding a rushing TD on four carries for 29 yards. The Raiders are reeling, and their defense has allowed the second-most fantasy points per game to signal-callers this year. However, Wilson heads into Week 11 action as the QB22 in overall fantasy points this year and could be without one of his favorite receivers in Jerry Jeudy (ankle). But if there was ever a week to stream the 33-year-old as a high-end QB2, Week 11 against the Raiders would be it.

  • Billy Turner Placed On Injured Reserve

The Denver Broncos placed offensive tackle Billy Turner (knee) on Injured Reserve on Tuesday, so he'll miss at least the next four games. Head coach Nathaniel Hackett said on Monday that Turner was week-to-week after he was injured in the Week 10 loss to the Tennessee Titans. An already bad Broncos offense really can't afford anymore offensive line injuries with Cameron Fleming (quadriceps) also hurt. If Fleming cannot get the green light to play this Sunday against the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders, Quinn Bailey could get the start at right tackle. It's more bad news for quarterback Russell Wilson, who has already been sacked 29 times in eight games in 2022.

  • Russell Wilson Throws For 286 Yards, One Touchdown

Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson went 21-for-42 for 286 yards in the 17-10 Week 10 loss to the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. The 286 yards were his second-highest total of the season, but he threw only one touchdown, was intercepted once and was sacked six times for 38 yards. Wilson ran the ball seven times for just eight yards. It didn't help that he lost one of his favorite targets, receiver Jerry Jeudy (ankle), to an injury early in the first half. The 33-year-old continued to mostly run for his life behind a bad offensive line while dinking and dunking, averaging a weak 6.8 yards per attempt. It was a very mediocre effort against a defense that had been friendly to QBs this season. Wilson could have better luck in a Week 11 rematch against the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders, but he can't be trusted as much more than a midrange QB2 in fantasy.

  • Russell Wilson Comes Off Bye With A Solid Matchup

Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson has been the brunt of many jokes in his first year in Denver. The 33-year-old hasn't lived up to expectations and is currently the QB21 in fantasy entering Week 10 against the Tennessee Titans on the road. Wilson has completed a career-low 58.8 percent of his 228 pass attempts for 1,694 yards, six touchdowns and four interceptions in seven games. He did look slightly better late in the Week 8 London game, though, and he'll be facing a Titans defense that has allowed the third-most passing yards (275.6) per game and the sixth-most fantasy points per game to the QB position. Wilson has become a low-end QB2 in fantasy, but he has a bit of upside in this matchup against the Titans.

  • Broncos Putting Lloyd Cushenberry On Injured Reserve

The Denver Broncos are placing center Lloyd Cushenberry (groin) on Injured Reserve on Tuesday with a groin injury, according to a source. The earliest he can return would be in Week 14 against the division-rival Kansas City Chiefs. In a corresponding move, the team is signing veteran safety Anthony Harris to the active roster from the practice squad. Cushenberry suffered the injury in the Week 8 game in London against the Jacksonville Jaguars and will now miss at least the next four games. It's a blow to an already shaky offensive line in Denver, so it's more bad news for struggling quarterback Russell Wilson. With Cushenberry out, Graham Glasgow will likely start at the pivot for the Broncos, beginning in Week 10 against the Tennessee Titans.

  • Russell Wilson Looks Better In London

After missing Week 7 due to a hamstring injury, Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson returned in the Week 8 London game against the Jacksonville Jaguars and was more efficient in a 21-17 win on Sunday. Wilson went 18-for-30 for 252 yards, one touchdown and an interception while taking three sacks. He also ran the ball four times for 17 yards. The 33-year-old looked much better in the second half while playing from behind and distributed the football well amongst all his receivers. Wilson's mark of 8.4 yards per attempt was his second-best effort of the year, and although he didn't light up the stat sheet against Jacksonville, it was at least a step in the right direction heading into the team's bye in Week 9.

  • Russell Wilson Will Start Sunday Against Jaguars

Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson (hamstring) will start Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He participated fully in Friday's practice and will start the London game. "Barring any setbacks, we're hoping to see Russell out there," said Broncos head coach Nathaniel Hackett. The veteran quarterback missed Week 7 against the New York Jets due to a hamstring injury. The 33-year-old has struggled this season, throwing 1,442 yards and a 5:3 TD: INT ratio over six games in 2022. Wilson is a borderline QB2 and is mainly an option in superflex leagues for Week 8.

  • Broncos Sticking By Russell Wilson, Nathaniel Hackett

Despite a disappointing 2-5 start to the season, Denver Broncos general manager George Paton said quarterback Russell Wilson and head coach Nathaniel Hackett have his full support. "I believe in Nathaniel," Paton said Thursday. "I support Nathaniel 100 percent. He's been in this for seven games as a head coach. The scrutiny he's faced is unprecedented." Wilson, a nine-time Pro Bowler, currently has career-lows in completion percentage, touchdown-to-interception ratio, passer rating and win-loss record. Paton thinks Wilson and the offense will continue to improve with time, and the team plans to give Wilson plenty of time to get out of his funk. "I'm not concerned. We're in it for the long haul with Russ, not the first seven games," Paton said. "We believe in Russ, and I believe in Russ." Wilson will try to snap out of his funk in the Week 8 game in London against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

  • Russell Wilson Intends To Play Against Jaguars

Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson (hamstring), who was listed as being a limited participant in practice on Thursday for the second straight day, said he intends to play in Week 8 against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday morning. Wilson was held out of the Week 7 loss to the New York Jets due to a partially torn hamstring, but he's apparently made great progress and his chomping at the bit to return under center for Denver's struggling offense. The 33-year-old veteran is still being viewed as day-to-day, but all signs right now are pointing to him starting against Jacksonville. The Jaguars defense has allowed 20.6 fantasy points per game to opposing QBs in the last three weeks, so it could be the perfect time for the Broncos offense to get out of its funk. Wilson will be a borderline QB1/2 if he returns in Week 8.

Denver Broncos head coach Nathaniel Hackett said that quarterback Russell Wilson (hamstring) is trending towards playing in London against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 8 and did "quite a bit" during the team's workout on Wednesday. Wilson was officially limited in practice. He worked out and stretched for four of the eight hours on the flight to London. "I'm feeling good. I'm ready to rock. It was tough not being out there," Wilson said. The 33-year-old sat out the Week 7 loss to the New York Jets but could return against the Jags this Sunday across the pond. He'll be a borderline QB1/2 if he returns, and his presence under center should be better news for No. 1 receiver Courtland Sutton, who is looking to bounce back after two down weeks in a row.

Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson (hamstring) could return in Week 8 against the Jacksonville Jaguars after head coach Nathaniel Hackett said he's still day-to-day, but trending in the right direction. Despite Wilson's sluggish start, he'll be an interesting fantasy option if he can return against the Jaguars in London. The Jaguars have been a top-10 defense against fantasy quarterbacks and were just shredded by Daniel Jones. There are still plenty of options to play over Wilson, but he will at least be on the fantasy radar.

  • Russell Wilson Trending Toward Playing In Week 8

Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson (hamstring) was sidelined in Week 7 with a partially torn hamstring but is reportedly trending in the right direction ahead of the team's Week 8 London matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Fantasy managers should be aware that Denver has a bye in Week 9, so it would not be shocking to see Wilson get an additional week of rest. With the Broncos' season very much in jeopardy, though, it seems that the struggling starter will push to play next Sunday. Practice reports should be monitored throughout the week as Wilson's health will affect the outlook of Denver's offensive weapons.

  • Russell Wilson Dealing With Partially Torn Hamstring

Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson is dealing with a partially torn hamstring, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com. Not only will he miss Week 7, but the team could also hold him out of next week's game. The strategy in doing so lies in the fact that the Broncos have a Week 9 bye, so holding him out of two consecutive contests would actually give him nearly one month to recover. As long as he remains sidelined, Brett Rypien will quarterback the Broncos.

  • Russell Wilson Won't Play In Week 7, Brett Rypien To Start

Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson (hamstring) will be held out of the Week 7 game against the New York Jets to allow him to heal and prevent a lingering injury, according to sources. The nine-time Pro Bowler wanted to play and did everything he could to be ready for Sunday, but head coach Nathaniel Hackett wants to play it safe. Brett Rypien will make his second career start this weekend. It's more bad news for a Broncos offense that ranks dead last in points per game (15.2) through six weeks. The 33-year-old Wilson hasn't looked like himself at all, throwing for 1,442 yards and only five touchdowns in six games. With Rypien now under center for at least this week, fantasy managers need to downgrade all of Denver's offensive skill players, mainly receiver Courtland Sutton.

  • Russell Wilson Draws Questionable Tag For Week 7

Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson (hamstring) is questionable for the Week 7 game against the New York Jets on Sunday, according to head coach Nathaniel Hackett. He will be a game-time decision. "We just want to be sure he can protect himself. That's the biggest thing," Hackett said. Wilson has been a limited participant in practice this week after tweaking his hamstring on Monday night against the Los Angeles Chargers. After an MRI exam showed no structural damage, the 33-year-old will likely suit up for Sunday's contest as he and the Denver offense look to put their struggles behind them. Injury and inconsistency have made Wilson more of a high-end QB2 option in fantasy with a low ceiling. If he's inactive, Brett Rypien would make just his second career NFL start.

  • Russell Wilson Limited In Practice Again Thursday

Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson (hamstring) will be limited in practice once again on Thursday. Per head coach Nathaniel Hackett, Wilson threw the ball well in practice on Wednesday. The 33-year-old signal-caller tweaked his hamstring in Monday night's overtime loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, and he's also been dealing with a shoulder issue in recent weeks. He's currently day-to-day after an MRI exam showed no structural damage, and it appears that Wilson is on the right side of questionable right now for Week 7 against the New York Jets. Until the Broncos offense shows more consistency in sustaining drives, Wilson will be hard to recommend as a QB1 for fantasy managers.

  • Russell Wilson Optimistic For Week 7 Availability

Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson (hamstring) is reportedly optimistic about his status heading into Week 7. The former Pro Bowl quarterback hurt his hamstring during Monday night's matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers, but an MRI revealed no structural damage. When discussing his status, Wilson was quoted as saying "I feel better every day. I heal quick." The 33-year-old has a history of downplaying injuries, which was seen in 2021 with the Seattle Seahawks. Most would consider it best for him to get healthy considering the quality of his play on the field, but Wilson has never been one to back down easily. If he fails to suit up, though, backup quarterback Brett Rypien would likely be the next man up for Denver's Week 7 matchup against the New York Jets. Rypien should only be considered a starting option for fantasy football in deep Superflex leagues if he's named the starter.

  • Russell Wilson Considered Day-To-Day

Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson (hamstring) is considered day-to-day after an MRI exam on Tuesday. The 33-year-old suffered a hamstring injury during Monday's overtime loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. It sounds like the team is going to wait and see how Wilson feels throughout the week. Fantasy managers should consider him questionable for the Week 7 matchup against the New York Jets. The Broncos would likely start Brett Rypien, assuming Wilson is unable to go. He wouldn't be a recommended streaming option, but honestly Wilson hasn't brought much to the table either lately. Regardless, fantasy managers are likely going to have to wait and see how Wilson feels during practice this week.

  • Russell Wilson Undergoing MRI Exam

Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson (hamstring) is getting an MRI exam on Tuesday for a hamstring injury that could be "fairly significant." Head coach Nathaniel Hackett said that Wilson picked up the hamstring injury late in the Monday night loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. Depending on the results of the MRI, Wilson could be forced to miss time, starting with a Week 7 game against the New York Jets. The 33-year-old started out firing on all cylinders on Monday before cooling off considerably to finish 15-for-28 for just 188 yards and one touchdown in the 19-16 overtime loss. If Wilson's hamstring injury is serious enough to sideline him, Brett Rypien would become Denver's starter under center. We'll be keeping a close eye on Wilson's practice participation this week.

Denver Broncos head coach Nathaniel Hackett said that quarterback Russell Wilson (hamstring) is dealing with a hamstring injury after the Monday night loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. After yet another hugely disappointing performance from Wilson and the Broncos offense, now he's dealing with another injury. The 33-year-old started off strong in the 19-16 overtime loss but finished just 15-for-28 for 188 yards and one touchdown. He's also dealing with a shoulder injury he's played through the last two games, but it didn't bother him on Monday night. We'll have to keep an eye on his hamstring injury during practice on a short week. Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson (shoulder) is officially active on Monday night against the division-rival Los Angeles Chargers. Wilson suffered an injury to his lat near his right shoulder in Week 4 and has been dealing with it ever since, but he practiced in full on Friday and Saturday and didn't carry an official injury designation into Monday night's contest. The 33-year-old has completed a career-low 59.4 percent of his passes for just 7.4 yards per attempt through his first five games with Denver. He should at least do better than he did in the Week 5 loss to the Indianapolis Colts, but Wilson should probably be considered a high-end QB2 going forward until he shows improvement.

  • Russell Wilson Improving "Every Day"

Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson (shoulder), who was officially listed as limited on Thursday's practice report, is improving every day after suffering a muscle injury to his latissimus dorsi in his back near his right shoulder in the Week 4 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. Wilson played in last Thursday's loss to the Indianapolis Colts, but he didn't look right and finished 21-for-39 with no touchdowns and two crucial interceptions. "Shoulder's feeling better, getting better every day," Wilson said. The 33-year-old isn't ranked above 14th among the league's starters in any of the major passing categories, including 28th in completion percentage (59.4) and tied for 23rd in touchdown passes (four). With the injury added on, Wilson has become a risky fantasy QB on the QB1/2 borderline for a Monday night matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 6.

  • Russell Wilson "Should Be Ready" For Week 6

Denver Broncos head coach Nathaniel Hackett said that quarterback Russell Wilson (shoulder) "should be ready to play" against the division-rival Los Angeles Chargers in Week 6 on Monday Night Football despite his right shoulder injury. Wilson received a platelet-rich plasma injection in his right shoulder after last Thursday's loss to the Indianapolis Colts for an injury that was initially believed to be a partially torn lat. We'll keep a close eye on the 33-year-old's practice status this week, but barring some sort of setback, it sounds like he'll be out there on Monday night. After a pretty brutal start to his Broncos tenure, Wilson is no longer a must-start QB1 for fantasy managers, especially if he's playing at less than 100 percent health.

Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson reportedly traveled to Los Angeles on Friday to receive an injection intended to alleviate discomfort he is experiencing near his throwing shoulder. Denver Broncos left tackle Garrett Bolles (leg) and cornerback Ronald Darby (knee) are out for the remainder of the season after suffering major injuries in the loss to the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday Night Football. While these players don't directly affect fantasy managers, losing Bolles on the offensive line could hurt the outlooks of quarterback Russell Wilson and the Broncos rushing attack moving forward. The Broncos defense/special teams should remain a solid unit in fantasy, but Darby's injury certainly hinders them at least a little bit.

Denver Broncos left tackle Garrett Bolles (leg) suffered a broken right leg in the Thursday night loss to the Indianapolis Colts in Week 5, according to a source. Bolles will undergo more tests to determine the severity, but his best case is a return in roughly six weeks. The 30-year-old had several bodies roll up on his right leg in ugly fashion, and he was carted off the field in the fourth quarter. It's more bad news for a Denver offense that looked terrible on Thursday night on their way to just nine points and no offensive touchdowns. With Bolles out for the foreseeable future and possibly the rest of the season, Calvin Anderson could step in as the starter on quarterback Russell Wilson's blind side in Week 6 against the Los Angeles Chargers.

His two interceptions were costly turnovers for the Broncos, and he failed to lead the offense to a single touchdown in what has been a very disappointing season so far through five weeks of play. The 33-year-old may have also lost his starting left tackle to a season-ending leg injury, so things probably won't get any easier next week against the Los Angeles Chargers. Wilson was evaluated for a head injury in the game but ended up returning without missing a single play.

Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson (shoulder) put in three limited practices this week and was removed from the final injury report on Wednesday, so he will suit up on Thursday night against the Indianapolis Colts. Wilson threw for only 237 yards on a season-low 25 pass attempts in the Week 4 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, but he threw two touchdowns and ran another in. The Colts defense is allowing just over 200 passing yards per game through four weeks, so Wilson will be a borderline QB1 at home for the Week 5 matchup, the first without lead running back Javonte Williams (knee), who suffered a season-ending torn ACL and LCL last weekend.

Fantasy managers can treat Wilson as a mid-range QB1 option in Week 5, as the veteran got rolling in Week 4 with his best performance of the season. His status could be worth monitoring given that it is a short week, but as of now, there's no reason to believe he won't be starting for the Broncos on Thursday night.

Denver Broncos head coach Nathaniel Hackett said quarterback Russell Wilson (shoulder) would have been limited on Monday if the team had a real practice. Hackett said Wilson "got dinged up a little bit" in the Week 4 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday. It's something to keep an eye on, but Wilson doesn't appear to be in any danger of missing the Week 5 contest against the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday night. The 33-year-old QB accounted for three touchdowns on Sunday (two passing, one rushing), but he threw for only 237 yards on a season-low 25 attempts. Against a Colts defense that's allowing 16.2 fantasy points per game to signal-callers through four weeks, Wilson will be in play as a low-end QB1 in fantasy.

Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson threw for only 237 yards in the Week 4 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders on 17-for-25 passing, but he was able to throw two touchdowns and also ran for another score on four carries for 29 yards. Wilson didn't throw an interception, and this was his first game with multiple touchdown passes in the first four weeks of the 2022 season. The 33-year-old led the Broncos in rushing in the 32-23 loss and he might be without running back Javonte Williams (knee) for an extended period of time moving forward. Although Wilson still hasn't looked all that impressive early this year, this was a positive step forward, and he'll once again be in play as a low-end QB1 on a short week on Thursday night against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 5.

Denver's offense just hasn't been able to get into a rhythm, and Wilson has looked far from the nine-time Pro Bowler that he is. The 33-year-old will have a shot to bounce back in Week 4 on the road against the Las Vegas Raiders, though. The Raiders D has allowed the fifth-most fantasy points per game to QBs through three games, including 267 passing yards per game, the seventh-most in the NFL. Many fantasy managers might be benching Wilson after his first three games, but he'll have low-end QB1 appeal in this week's matchup against the division rivals.

  • Russell Wilson Throws For Under 200 Yards, No Touchdowns

Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson led the team to a narrow 11-10 win over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday Night Football in Week 3, but he continued to look rough in the process. Wilson completed 20 of his 33 attempts for just 184 yards, no touchdowns or interceptions. He added six carries for 17 yards. To be fair, the Niners defense is one of the best in the NFL, but Wilson looks far from his old self from his prime with the Seattle Seahawks. He hasn't been on the same page with his receivers through three weeks, and the Broncos offense just has not been able to get into any kind of rhythm at all. Things should get easier in Week 4 against the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders, but right now, the 33-year-old can't be considered a QB1 in fantasy with any kind of confidence.

  • Russell Wilson A Borderline Fantasy Starter Against Niners

The Denver Broncos offense and quarterback Russell Wilson have gotten off to a very slow start through two weeks of the 2022 season. Through two games, Wilson has a career-low 58.9 completion percentage, 559 passing yards, two touchdowns and one interception. He has just 7.7 yards per attempt and surely doesn't look like the same QB that made nine Pro Bowls in his 10 seasons with the Seattle Seahawks. On top of it, he might be without No. 2 receiver Jerry Jeudy (chest) in Week 3 against the San Francisco 49ers. San Fran's stout defense has allowed a league-low 142.5 passing yards per game through two weeks, so Wilson's matchup isn't a great one for Sunday Night Football. Until Denver's offense picks things up, Wilson will be on the QB1/2 borderline.

  • Russell Wilson Looks Cooked In Win Over Texans

Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson hasn't looked great at all through his first two games with the Broncos. In a 16-9 win over the Houston Texans in Week 2, Wilson went just 14-for-31 for 219 yards with one touchdown and one interception. He was sacked three times. Wilson lost receiver Jerry Jeudy (shoulder) early in this game and was already without KJ Hamler (knee, hip), but he still didn't look strong against a very beatable Texans defense. With Jeudy and Hamler injured, the 33-year-old signal-caller targeted Courtland Sutton 11 times. The Broncos offense just hasn't been the explosive unit that many expected them to be under Wilson, and that could continue in a tough Week 3 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers, especially if Jeudy is unable to play.

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett said Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson tipped some of the plays in the Week 1 loss by using the same old hand signals that he used while playing for Seattle. According to Pro Football Focus, Wilson was 2-for-7 on passes 20 yards or further downfield for 94 yards, including a 67-yard touchdown to Jerry Jeudy. The 33-year-old veteran QB finished the game 29-for-42 for 340 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions, but he didn't look extremely comfortable running the offense in his first game with the Broncos. He'll have a chance to settle in and bounce back in the team's home opener against the Houston Texans in Week 2. Houston's secondary has been beatable for years, making Wilson a top-10 fantasy QB this weekend.

  • Russell Wilson Goes Over 300 Yards In Return To Seattle

Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson completed 29 of his 42 pass attempts for 340 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in his emotional return to Seattle in a 17-16 loss on Monday night against the Seahawks in Week 1. His lone TD pass on the night was a 67-yard hookup with receiver Jerry Jeudy. The 33-year-old signal-caller could have had a much better night, but the Broncos went 0-for-4 in the red zone, including two goal-line fumbles. It was disappointing that Denver didn't come away with more points, but all in all, the offense moved the ball pretty well all evening. It was curious that Wilson didn't involve his receivers until late in the second quarter, but like many offenses around the league in Week 1, it was a work in progress. He'll have a good chance to put better numbers as a surefire QB1 in fantasy in Week 2 against Houston.

  • Russell Wilson Faces Old Team In Broncos Debut

After recently signing a five-year, $245 million contract extension with the Denver Broncos, quarterback Russell Wilson gets set to make his team debut in Week 1 on Monday night against his former squad, the Seattle Seahawks. In what is expected to be an up-tempo Denver offense with Wilson now in the fold, the 33-year-old veteran has plenty of weapons to work with, even with receiver Tim Patrick (knee) out for the year. Seattle's defense ranked 15th in 2021 while allowing 21 fantasy points per game to QBs in standard scoring. Seattle's raucous crowd certainly won't make it easy on Wilson in his return to the city that he spent his first 10 NFL seasons in, but the nine-time Pro Bowler is an easy top-10 fantasy QB for Week 1 of the regular season.

  • Broncos Sign Russell Wilson To A Five-Year Extension

The Denver Broncos have signed quarterback Russell Wilson to a five-year extension, tying him to the team until 2029. The deal is reportedly worth $245 million with $165 million guaranteed. This marks the latest of several massive extensions provided to elite NFL quarterbacks. Denver acquired the 33-year-old earlier this offseason in a blockbuster trade with Seattle. The former Super Bowl champion is believed to be the final piece for a team that has struggled to find a starting quarterback since Peyton Manning retired. Despite battling through a finger injury last season, the Wisconsin product still threw for 3,113 yards and 25 touchdowns in only 14 games played. Wilson is a perennial top-12 quarterback for fantasy football and will be a top-10 option again in 2022.
