  • Vikings Reach Agreement To Bring Back Garrett Bradbury

The Minnesota Vikings reached an agreement to re-sign center Garrett Bradbury to a three-year deal worth $15.75 million on Tuesday, according to a source. The first-round pick in 2019 will remain the starting center for quarterback Kirk Cousins. It was important for the Vikings to retain the 27-year-old, as he's become one of the better centers in the NFL in his four seasons in the league. Bradbury played in a career-low 12 games in 2022 due to injuries, but he's started all 57 games that he's appeared in for Minnesota in his four campaigns.

  • Vikings Restructure Kirk Cousins' Contract

The Minnesota Vikings restructured quarterback Kirk Cousins' contract on Tuesday to create some additional salary cap space for the 2023 season, according to a source. Minnesota converted a portion of Cousins' $10 million base salary for this season into a signing bonus that can be spread out over the next couple of seasons. With the Vikings trying to get under the cap this year, they also parted ways with veterans Eric Kendricks and Adam Thielen. Cousins has the best receiver in the NFL in Justin Jefferson at his disposal and a pretty good tight end in T.J. Hockenson as well in an offense that isn't afraid to air it out. The 34-year-old threw for 4,547 yards, 29 TDs and 14 interceptions in 17 regular season starts last year and should remain in play as a low-end QB1 in 2023.

  • Kirk Cousins, Vikings Have Had Contract Talks

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins has had contract extension talks with the team. However, discussions haven't been productive, with a deal not expected anytime soon. There were rumblings of a new agreement for the veteran signal-caller, especially since it would open up cap space. But that appears unlikely, so Cousins is on tap to earn north of $36 million (along with a bonus) during the 2022-23 campaign. The 34-year-old finished last season with 4,547 passing yards and 29 touchdowns while completing 65.9% of his throws. He also tossed a career-high 14 interceptions and had one of the lowest quarterback ratings since entering the league in 2012. Nevertheless, with Justin Jefferson on the same roster, Cousins will continue to have a place on fantasy rosters, although managers shouldn't expect consistent production from him.

  • Kirk Cousins Likely To Remain With Vikings

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins has been rumored to be possibly moved this offseason. The 34-year-old has a $36.2 million cap hit heading into next season. The Vikings are already over the cap by $23 million, so cutting Cousins isn't going to happen. Possibly, the Vikings could trade Cousins, but they have no legitimate option to replace him on the roster. The best route at this point would be for the Vikings to restructure Cousins contract. Either way, it sounds like Cousins is going to be on the Vikings roster for at least one more season while the team figures out a long term solution at quarterback.

  • Vikings Express Support For Kirk Cousins As 2023 Starter

The Vikings’ early playoff exit came as a surprise to many given the team’s success in the regular season, and it has already led to the dismissal of defensive coordinator Ed Donatell. While plenty of questions remain for his former unit, the team’s offense has plenty of pieces in place to give them optimism for repeated […]

  • Wes Phillips To Stay With Vikings

The Los Angeles Chargers requested to speak with Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator Wes Phillips about their open offensive coordinator position, but Phillips plans to stay in Minnesota, according to sources. He is highly valued in Minnesota, and the Vikings are building something that he wants to see through. The Chargers are looking for a new offensive coordinator after firing Joe Lombardi earlier in the week. Phillips moved with Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell from the Los Angeles Rams in 2022 after coaching in LA for three years. He has also coached for the Washington Commanders and Dallas Cowboys. Retaining Phillips is good news for all of Minnesota's offensive weapons, most notably quarterback Kirk Cousins, running back Dalvin Cook and wide receiver Justin Jefferson.

  • Kirk Cousins Expected To Start For Vikings In 2023

Minnesota Vikings general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah stated on Wednesday that he expects quarterback Kirk Cousins to remain the team's starter next season. Cousins will be entering the final year of his contract in the 2023-2024 campaign and it is unclear at this point if Minnesota intends to sign him to an extension during the offseason. The 34-year-old led the Vikings to a 13-4 regular-season record while posting 4,547 passing yards, 31 total touchdowns, and 14 interceptions this year, but the team was ultimately sent home in the Wild Card round of the playoffs with a loss to the New York Giants.

  • Kirk Cousins Throws For 273 Yards In Loss

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins completed 31 of his 39 passing attempts for 273 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions in the 31-24 loss to the New York Giants. Despite a solid outing, the Vikings' season will come to an end as Cousins wasn't able to lead his team down the field in the clutch like he'd done all season. Cousins finished the year with 4,547 passing yards, 29 passing touchdowns, and 14 interceptions. Cousins has one more year on his current contract with Minnesota, and there's speculation 2023 could be his final season with the team if he can't find postseason success.

  • Kirk Cousins A Solid Full-Slate DFS Option

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins has been known to have a high ceiling and low floor throughout his NFL career, and 2022 has been no different. The veteran quarterback has six games over 22.5 DraftKings points, but he's failed to reach 13.1 DraftKings points in five games this season. Since DFS is the focus here, a boom-or-bust fantasy quarterback is a perfectly fine option. Cousins faces a New York Giants defense that has been solid against quarterbacks, but he passed for 299 yards and three touchdowns in the first game against them. Ultimately, Cousins is just the fifth-most expensive signal-caller on DraftKings and with Lamar Jackson (knee) and Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) not expected to play, he's a great budget quarterback in full six-games DFS lineups.

  • Nick Mullens Relieves Kirk Cousins Sunday

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins has been pulled from Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears. The Vikings have already clinched the NFC North title, and with a two-score lead over the Bears, Minnesota will play things safe by resting its starting quarterback. He finishes with 17 completions, 225 yards, and one touchdown in Week 18. With Cousins done for the day, Nick Mullens entered the game under center and should play the remainder of the contest.

  • Kirk Cousins In Danger Of Being Rested Sunday

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins went 32-for-41 for 296 yards, one touchdown and an interception in Week 5 in the first meeting against the Chicago Bears. He's facing them again in the Week 18 regular season finale in what is a great matchup, but he'll be a very shaky low-end QB1 this weekend because of the fact that there's a good chance that Minnesota's starters won't play the entire four quarters this weekend. "We've got a pretty clear cut plan with how we want to go about the whole game, but we're going to go in with the expectation of our guys going and try to get off to a good start and play good football," head coach Kevin O'Connell said. Try to avoid the 34-year-old signal-caller in DFS and season-long leagues.

  • Vikings Could Get Backups Some Work In Week 18

Minnesota Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell said that the team will have a "clear-cut plan" about the entire Week 18 regular season finale against the Chicago Bears on Sunday as far as playing the starters goes. O'Connell also mentioned getting backups some snaps as well. The Vikings are still playing for seeding purposes in the NFC postseason picture, but there's still a very good chance their starters won't play the entire game this weekend. Fantasy managers considering the likes of quarterback Kirk Cousins, running back Dalvin Cook, wide receivers Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen and tight end T.J. Hockenson for their starting lineups may want to reconsider.

  • Kirk Cousins A QB1 Option Versus Packers

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins will look to keep his strong stretch of play going as the Vikings travel to Lambeau Field to take on Aaron Rodgers and the Packers. Cousins has 1,184 passing yards in his last three games, making him a borderline must-start option given how many injuries we have seen to quarterbacks over the past few weeks. The Packers' secondary gave up 277 yards and two touchdowns to the veteran in their first meeting, but this figures to be a bit of a tough matchup considering the game will be on the road, while the Packers have much more to play for than the Vikings. Cousins is surrounded by a formidable group of pass-catchers, including receiving leader Justin Jefferson, making him a mid-range QB1 option for the fantasy championship despite a tough matchup.

  • Kirk Cousins Leads Minnesota To Late Win

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins had 299 yards and three touchdowns off 34-for-48 passing versus the Giants on Saturday. For the second straight game, the Vikings pulled off another narrow win. The signal-caller has played a big part in the team's success, as he's thrown for nine touchdowns and 1,184 yards in the last three games. Fantasy managers should keep him rolling in Week 17 against the Green Bay Packers.
