Romeo Doubs Looking Good During OTAs

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs has made a favorable impression at OTAs, so much so that the team believes he's ready to take his game to another level. "Rome has done a nice job of really making that next step," said head coach Matt LaFleur. "He's doing a great job getting his feet on the ground, running violent routes, violent cuts. Being aggressive with his hands. I think he's shown a lot of progress." The 23-year-old appeared in 13 games as a rookie, amassing 42 catches for 425 yards and three touchdowns. Of course, he'll mostly compete with Christian Watson and Aaron Jones for receptions this season. However, Doubs has plenty of room to surpass his numbers from last season, especially since he's seeing plenty of attention from quarterback Jordan Love, who will take over the offense after the Packers traded Aaron Rodgers to the Jets.

Aaron Jones "Hasn't Missed A Beat"

According to Packers running backs coach Ben Sirmans, Aaron Jones "hasn't missed a beat," a statement he made during a recent practice session. "He's still going as fast and hard as anybody out there," Sirmans said. "He's flying around faster than anybody in that room." Jones is entering his seventh year after finishing 2022 with another 1,000-yard-plus rushing season, adding seven total touchdowns. It could be an adjustment period for the 28-year-old, as he'll no longer have Aaron Rodgers under center. However, there's no denying his massive upside. Jones' ability to catch passes is an added perk for PPR managers.

Aaron Jones Working With Jordan Love This Offseason

Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones said he wanted to throw with quarterback Jordan Love in California this offseason to get their timing down. "He has everybody's full trust," Jones said of Love. With Aaron Rodgers now in New York, Love will take over as Green Bay's full-time starter in 2023. The Packers offense isn't expected to be as consistent with Love in there, but the 28-year-old Jones should be relied on heavily in Love's first full season as the starter. Jones had only two touchdowns on the ground in 2022 despite rushing for over 1,000 yards, and he had five receiving scores and 395 yards through the air. He will still be useful in fantasy, but Jones' ceiling will certainly be lower moving from Rodgers to Love.
