  • Tyler Conklin A Potential Riser In 2024

    Headshot for Tyler Conklin

New York Jets tight end Tyler Conklin caught 61 passes for 621 yards last season while primarily catching passes from Zach Wilson. All things considered, it was a decent year, but the New York offense was one of the worst units in the league, and Conklin failed to catch a touchdown. Jets reporter Connor Hughes believes the 28-year-old could be a riser heading into 2024 with the return of quarterback Aaron Rodgers (Achilles). Conklin reportedly developed great chemistry with Rodgers last offseason, and the pair is picking up where they left off in OTAs this year. Wide receiver Garrett Wilson is the unquestioned No. 1 option in the passing game, but Conklin could be at least the No. 3 option. Mike Williams is coming off a torn ACL, while Malachi Corley is a rookie and could take time to develop. Conklin was the overall TE18 in PPR leagues last year without a single end-zone trip, so an uptick in scoring could lead to him being firmly on the fantasy radar.

  • Braelon Allen The Early Favorite For RB2 Role

    Headshot for Braelon Allen

New York Jets rookie running back Braelon Allen is the early favorite to be Breece Hall's primary backup in 2024, according to Zack Rosenblatt of the Athletic. "He's known for his ability in pass protection but also flashed as a receiver on Wednesday, getting open against linebackers in coverage." Rosenblatt wrote. "He showed some shiftiness after the catch too." Allen was once viewed as a potential contender for the RB1 in the class of 2024, but he regressed following his freshman season. The 6-foot-1, 235-pound Wisconsin product posted 1,307 yards from scrimmage and 12 total touchdowns while averaging 6.8 yards per attempt as a 17-year-old freshman, but he fell to a 5.4 yards-per-carry clip in his junior season and fell short of 1,200 yards from scrimmage. This likely led to him falling to the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Either way, he looks to be the leader for the RB2 job, making him worth stashing as Hall's "handcuff" in 2024. If New York's offense turns things around with a healthy Aaron Rodgers, Allen could have a few spike weeks in his rookie campaign.

  • Titans High On Tony Pollard, Tyjae Spears As Receivers

    Headshot for Tony Pollard

Tennessee Titans running backs Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears figure to share the backfield in 2024 under new head coach Brian Callahan, and the Titans are high on both players as receiving threats. "Anytime we can find ways to match those guys up in the passing game on linebackers is a huge benefit to us. They are hard to cover. They can run routes like receivers, which is unique," Callahan said. "I have not seen guys like them very often and we have two of them...they catch naturally which is exciting." Pollard, who spent the last five seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, was often used as a receiver out of the backfield as a change-of-pace complement to Ezekiel Elliott. Meanwhile, Spears played 52.9% of Tennessee's offensive snaps last year -- primarily on passing downs. It's going to be a challenge to project each back's workload in the new-look Titans' offense, but given the predicted identity shift to a pass-first approach, both could have flex value in PPR formats. Pollard is being drafted as a low-end RB2 in early fantasy drafts, while Spears is going off the board around the low-end RB3 range.

  • Isaiah Buggs Facing Misdemeanor Warrants Related To Animal Cruelty

    Headshot for Isaiah Buggs

Kansas City Chiefs defensive lineman Isaiah Buggs is facing two misdemeanor warrants issued by Tuscaloosa police for second-degree cruelty to dogs, according to NFL insider Ari Meirov. The 27-year-old is accused of leaving two dogs locked on his property without access to food or water. Needless to say, these are serious allegations and could put the veteran journeyman on the roster hot seat. Buggs entered the league as a sixth-round pick in 2019 and has totaled 89 tackles and two sacks with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Detroit Lions. He signed with Kansas City's practice squad on January 4 but did not appear in one of their postseason games.

  • Buccaneers Officially Sign Jalen McMillan

    Headshot for Jalen McMillan

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Jalen McMillan signed his rookie contract on Wednesday, according to NFL.com. The Washington alum was selected in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft and is set to compete with 2023 sixth-round pick Trey Palmer for the No. 3 WR role behind Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. While sharing a field with Rome Odunze and Ja'Lynn Polk, McMillan caught 124 passes for 1,657 yards and 14 touchdowns over his final two collegiate seasons. He outproduced Polk in 2022 but regressed and became the No. 3 receiver in 2023. Regardless, the 22-year-old flashed upside and earned Day 2 draft capital, so he could be a fantasy football sleeper at some point in his career. For now, he has limited upside in a crowded wide receiver group.

  • Alex Leatherwood Signs With Chargers

Free-agent offensive tackle Alex Leatherwood signed with the Los Angeles Chargers on Wednesday, according to NFL insider Ari Meirov. The former Raiders first-round pick in 2021 out of Alabama is set to join his fourth NFL team in as many years, but landing with an organization going through a rebuild could help him turn his career around. The 25-year-old won the 2020 Outland Trophy, which is given to college football's most outstanding interior lineman, and he was a first-team All-American while playing in the SEC. The Bolts are looking to become a physical football team under new head coach Jim Harbaugh, so it'll be interesting to see if Leatherwood can carve out a role in 2024.

  • Jauan Jennings Signing Two-Year Deal To Stay In San Francisco

    Headshot for Jauan Jennings

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings agreed to a two-year deal worth up to $15.4 million that includes $10.5 million guaranteed on Wednesday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Jennings was a restricted free agent, but he'll remain with the organization ahead of the 2024 campaign. Jennings, who has been stuck in a crowded offense with Christian McCaffrey, Brandon Aiyuk, Deebo Samuel, and George Kittle, has put up just under 1,000 yards in his first three NFL seasons. However, he's viewed as one of the best blocking wide receivers in the NFL and was likely to be named Super Bowl LVIII MVP had the 49ers won following his two-touchdown game against the Kansas City Chiefs. The former Tennessee Volunteer is unlikely to be a weekly producer in fantasy football, though he'll have a better chance if one of Samuel or Aiyuk are traded. Jennings is likely to lose snaps to first-round rookie Ricky Pearsall if Samuel and Aiyuk stick around in 2024.

  • Kyren Williams Working With Trainers At OTAs

Los Angeles Rams running back Kyren Williams (foot) was seen doing an up-tempo workout on a side field with athletic trainers during organized team activities on Wednesday. Williams isn't going to take part in OTAs or mandatory minicamp next month, but the Rams fully expect him to return for training camp this summer. The 23-year-old is worth keeping an eye on this offseason after he broke his foot early in his rookie season in 2022. In addition to his foot injury, Williams faces much more competition going into the 2024 season from rookie third-rounder Blake Corum, who the Rams think has three-down capabilities. Williams will open the year as LA's top RB on the depth chart, but if he gets hurt or starts out slow, Corum could become a bigger part of the backfield sooner than later.

  • Malachi Corley Injured At OTAs

    Headshot for Malachi Corley

New York Jets rookie wide receiver Malachi Corley (undisclosed) left organized team activities on Wednesday with a trainer with an undisclosed injury. Corley later returned but was walking with a limp and didn't have his helmet with him. It doesn't appear to be a very serious injury, but the Jets will probably play it safe and hold the 22-year-old out for the rest of the week after taking him with the first pick of the third round in this year's NFL draft out of Western Kentucky. How much Corley is involved in his first year in the league will depend a lot on how healthy and productive new wideout Mike Williams (knee) is after coming off a torn ACL in 2023. Even if Williams stays healthy, Corley will have the inside track to become the team's No. 3 receiver, although it still seems like more of a long shot that he'll be an every-week fantasy starter in redraft leagues in his rookie campaign.

  • No Timeline For Mike Williams

    Headshot for Mike Williams

New York Jets wide receiver Mike Williams (knee) has been rehabbing, and head coach Robert Saleh said he is progressing and looks good. However, Saleh told reporters on Wednesday at organized team activities that he doesn't have a timeline on Williams' return to practice. Williams suffered a torn left ACL in Week 3 last year in his final season with the Los Angeles Chargers and then signed a one-year, $10 million deal with the Jets in free agency this offseason. The 29-year-old big-bodied wideout could be ready to go for the Week 1 regular season opener, but he's currently missing valuable offseason repetitions with the Jets' first-team offense and quarterback Aaron Rodgers. When he's healthy, he figures to be the team's No. 2 wideout behind Garrett Wilson, which will give him plenty of touchdown appeal as long as both he and Rodgers can stay healthy.

  • Breece Hall Working In Rehab Area At OTAs

    Headshot for Breece Hall

New York Jets running back Breece Hall (undisclosed) is working in the rehab area during organized team activities this week. It's unclear what type of injury Hall is dealing with or when he suffered it, but it doesn't sound very serious and it shouldn't negatively impact his fantasy value as the 2024 season approaches this fall. If the 22-year-old RB1 is unable to take part in mandatory minicamp in June, it will then become a bigger issue. With Hall out this week, running backs Israel Abanikanda, Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis should all see more work at OTAs, in addition to recent signee Tarik Cohen as he attempts to revive his career. With quarterback Aaron Rodgers (Achilles) returning, Hall's fantasy upside this year will be even higher with the offense expected to be more explosive.

  • Dalton Risner Re-Signs With Vikings

Veteran free-agent offensive guard Dalton Risner re-signed with the Minnesota Vikings on an undisclosed one-year deal on Wednesday, according to a source. Risner will give the Vikings more depth on the offensive line heading into the 2024 season. The 28-year-old returns after playing in 15 games (11 starts) in his first year with the Vikings in 2023. He was originally a second-round selection (41st overall) in the 2019 NFL draft out of Kansas State by the Denver Broncos. Risner spent the first four years of his NFL career with the Broncos and has never played in fewer than 15 games in any of his five years in the league. His time in Minnesota last year was the only time he hasn't started all of the games he's appeared in in his career.

  • Jets Sign Tarik Cohen

    Headshot for Tarik Cohen

The New York Jets signed free-agent running back Tarik Cohen to an undisclosed one-year deal on Wednesday, according to a source. Cohen was one of the league's top return specialists and a receiving threat with the Chicago Bears before serious injuries derailed his career. He last played in the NFL in 2020 but will not attempt a comeback with the Jets. The Bears took the 28-year-old in the fourth round (119th overall) in 2017 out of North Carolina A&T. Cohen was a Pro Bowler and first-team All-Pro in 2018 as a kick returner, and he had 264 rushing attempts for 1,101 yards and five touchdowns in his four seasons in Chicago, adding 209 receptions for 1,575 receiving yards and nine touchdowns through the air. He spent most of last year on the Panthers' practice squad and is unlikely to make an impact for the Jets or for fantasy managers in 2024.

  • Xavier Legette Dealing With Hamstring Injury

    Headshot for Xavier Legette

Carolina Panthers first-round rookie wide receiver Xavier Legette (hamstring) tweaked his hamstring during organized team activities on Tuesday and is erring on the side of caution and sitting out of practice on Wednesday. It's not a major injury for the 32nd overall pick last month, but he's going to miss some valuable repetitions as he heads into his first NFL season. The 23-year-old should be good for mandatory minicamp in June and training camp at the end of July, and despite other additions to the position in the offseason, Legette should have an opportunity for a big role in his first NFL season as the Panthers look to improve drastically on offense from a year ago. However, with veteran Adam Thielen and newcomer Diontae Johnson likely ahead of him in the target pecking order, fantasy managers should prepare for Legette to be inconsistent in 2024 as a deep threat.

  • Taysom Hill In The Backfield At OTAs

    Headshot for Taysom Hill

New Orleans Saints hybrid offensive player Taysom Hill was seen taking direct snaps out of the backfield at organized team activities on Tuesday while also working with the special teams unit. SI.com's John Hendrix wrote that seeing Hill in the backfield is starting to be a pretty exciting thing. He lined up as the running back in shotgun formation and took the run left for a nice gain. In addition to taking direct snaps out of the backfield, Hill also caught some passes from quarterback Derek Carr as a pass-catcher. It remains to be seen exactly how Hill will be used in new offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak's system, but he could be on the field often in a variety of roles. With tight end eligibility in fantasy, he will at least have value as a low-end TE1 with the possibility for more if he's more active as a ball-carrier out of the backfield in 2024.

Cleveland Browns second-year right tackle Dawand Jones (knee), who was taken in the fourth round in 2023 out of Ohio State, is still recovering from surgery to fix his torn right MCL that he suffered in practice on Dec. 7. The injury caused him to miss the final five games of the year and the wild-card loss to the Houston Texans. Jones has been taking part in organized team activities this offseason with a knee brace and is aiming to be ready for the start of the 2024 season this fall. If all goes according to plan, both Jones and left tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. (knee), who is also rehabbing from a torn MCL, will be close to full-go in training camp this summer. • Eric Stokes In A Great Place

Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur thinks cornerback Eric Stokes (hamstring) is in a great place physically and mentally this offseason after he missed most of the last two years with injuries. LaFleur also said he thinks Stokes is "in the best shape" he's ever seen him in. "When you look at him physically, his body looks different. He's hitting some fast speeds out there at practice. I can tell mentally he feels like he's in a great place," LaFleur said. The former first-round pick in 2021 was great as a rookie but suffered foot and knee injuries in Week 9 in 2022 and missed the final eight games. The 25-year-old played in just three games in 2023 due to hamstring issues. It's no surprise the Packers declined their fifth-year option on Stokes, so he's now in a contract year in 2024 as he looks to stay healthy. He intends to start talking to teams in the near future after spending last year with the Baltimore Ravens as a scouting intern. In his last year in the NFL in 2022 with the New York Giants, Jefferson played in only nine games (one start) and had 23 tackles (16 solo). The 32-year-old former undrafted free agent entered the league in 2013 with the Arizona Cardinals and spent four years in the desert before joining the Ravens from 2017-21. • Jarrett Stidham Prepared To Compete For Starting Role

    Headshot for Jarrett Stidham

Denver Broncos quarterback Jarrett Stidham is embracing the team's three-man QB competition this offseason between himself, former first-round Zach Wilson and this year's first-rounder Bo Nix. "I'm not going to just sit down and let someone else walk on in here -- I'm going to work my butt off to get the job. I'm super excited about it," Stidham said. The 27-year-old signed a two-year, $10 million deal prior to last season and could now be considered a mentor who could be an upset winner of the starting job this summer. Stidham, Wilson and Nix will get an equal split of the work during the offseason program, but we probably won't have a better sense of who is in the lead in the competition until training camp. Stidham has the advantage of knowing the offense from a season ago, but even if he's the starter in Week 1, he'll be on a short leash and will be a low-upside, low-end QB2 in fantasy.

While there's still time for both sides to work things out, there's also room for the situation to go in the wrong direction, especially as the offseason inches closer to training camp. Nonetheless, the 27-year-old wasn't a reliable fantasy producer throughout the 2023-24 campaign despite his increase in production. It was an injury that Green had been dealing with since May. The 23-year-old has since made great progress and was participating at organized team activities last week. "Kenyon has done a really great job of putting himself in a position to compete," head coach DeMeco Ryans said. "He did a great job of working throughout the offseason. • Patriots Sign Drake Maye To Rookie Deal

    Headshot for Drake Maye

The New England Patriots have agreed to terms with quarterback Drake Maye on his rookie deal on Tuesday, according to a source. The No. 3 overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft is now under contract and ready to compete with veteran signal-caller Jacoby Brissett in training camp and the preseason for the starting job under center in New England. The 21-year-old former Tar Heel has plenty of high-end, long-term upside in fantasy at the QB position, but he wasn't quite seen as NFL-ready as much as Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels, who went one and two, respectively, in the draft to the Bears and Commanders. Maye had only 26 starts in college and could benefit from sitting and learning for a year, and he doesn't turn 22 until August. Especially given the lack of standout weapons on the Patriots offense, Maye is much more of a dynasty asset than a redraft one in 2024 fantasy circles.

  • Amare Barno Taking Part In Offseason Workouts

Carolina Panthers outside linebacker Amare Barno (knee) finished last year on Injured Reserve and missed the final two games of the regular season, but he's progressing nicely and was limited in organized team activities last week, according to head coach Dave Canales. "The reports we're getting are great, so he's trending in the right direction. I don't have a specific date, but he is out there working and he's got his cleats on doing stuff, so I'm looking forward to getting him back up to speed so we can get him back in a practice at some point," Canales said. Barno saw an 11% increase in defensive snaps in 2023 and even made his first career start, finishing with 21 tackles and one tackle for loss in 15 games played. The 25-year-old is likely to serve as depth at the linebacker position again this year for Carolina.

  • Tee Higgins A No-Show At OTAs

    Headshot for Tee Higgins

Cincinnati Bengals wide receivers Tee Higgins and Ja'Marr Chase are both not present for voluntary organized team activities on Tuesday as they seek new deals this offseason. Higgins has yet to sign his franchise tender for this year, so until he does, he will not be allowed to participate in offseason workouts with the team. The 25-year-old requested a trade from the Bengals when the team put the franchise tag on him just before the start of free agency in March, but he remains in Cincinnati for now as he angles for a new long-term deal. It's an offseason storyline to follow for fantasy managers after Higgins had an extremely disappointing 2023 campaign. It didn't help that quarterback Joe Burrow suffered a season-ending wrist injury, but Higgins was also injured himself and finished with a career-low 42 catches for 656 yards and five touchdowns in 12 games.

  • Ja'Marr Chase Not Present For Voluntary OTAs

    Headshot for Ja'Marr Chase

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase wasn't present for voluntary organized team activities on Tuesday. Chase is heading into the fourth year of his rookie deal after the team picked up his fifth-year option for the 2025 season back in April. The 24-year-old is slated to make $5 million in 2024 and remains one of the best all-around receivers in the game. His absence during voluntary offseason workouts shouldn't raise too many eyebrows, although it would be nice to see him working with quarterback Joe Burrow after Burrow suffered a season-ending wrist injury in 2023. Chase is unlikely to stage a long holdout into mandatory minicamp next month and training camp this summer, and he and the Bengals should eventually work out something long term that should make him one of, if not the highest, paid receiver in the NFL.

  • Bills Impressed With Chase Claypool At OTAs

    Headshot for Chase Claypool

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Chase Claypool has seen his stock steadily decline since his 11-touchdown rookie season in 2020 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Last year with the Chicago Bears and Miami Dolphins, he caught just eight passes for 77 yards. He signed with the Bills on a one-year, $1.1 million deal this offseason, giving him another chance to revive his career. So far at Bills' OTAs, he's making a good impression. "Very impressed with Chase. Really just starting with his approach, here's a veteran receiver, former high pick, that has been on a journey, right, through the course of recently in his career," head coach Sean McDermott said. "I applaud Chase for coming here to see where things go. And so he's very focused, he's working extremely hard day in and day out." The former Notre Dame wideout has an uphill battle to re-enter the fantasy radar in 2024, but a wide receiver group consisting of Khalil Shakir, Curtis Samuel, and rookie Keon Coleman isn't the most daunting group to compete with. Still, he's likely to be a non-factor if he makes the team's 53-man roster, barring a surprise.

The 2018 first-round pick reportedly weighed a lot more than the 347 pounds he was listed out last season, and the team believes it hampered his play in 2023. Buccaneers defense line coach Kacy Rodgers said Vea "looks a lot different," and the team wants him to go from being "good" to "dominant." Over his first six NFL seasons, Vea has racked up 180 tackles (111 solo), 23.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, six pass deflections, and 23.5 run stuffs. He is a one-time Pro Bowler (2021).

  • Hendon Hooker Moves Into QB2 Role

    Headshot for Hendon Hooker

Detroit Lions quarterback Hendon Hooker was rumored to be a first-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft in the middle of his stellar final season at Tennessee in 2022. However, he suffered a late-season ACL tear and was ultimately a third-round selection by Detroit. Teddy Bridgewater was Jared Goff's primary backup last season, while Hooker spent most of his debut campaign on the Injured Reserve list. With Bridgewater announcing his retirement this offseason, the 26-year-old is set to move into the QB2 role in 2024. So far at OTAs, the reviews have been promising. "It was fun watching Hendon Hooker sling it in a team setting for the very first time," Colton Pouncy of The Athletic wrote. "Really nice touch on his deep ball. Good velocity. One of his best plays of the day was a deep ball down the right sideline to Daurice Fountain, which drew "oooohs" and "aaahhs" from the team." After Goff signed a four-year extension to remain with the organization, Hooker's narrow path to the starting job closed. However, he can be stashed in deep Superflex or two-QB leagues. If Goff had to miss any time due to injury, the 26-year-old sophomore would have intriguing upside thanks to his rushing ability and pass-catching group headlined by Amon-Ra St. Brown and Sam LaPorta.

  • Billy Price Retires From NFL

NFL veteran center and former Cincinnati Bengals first-round pick Billy Price has announced his retirement, according to NFL.com. The 29-year-old cites health risks stemming from a recently discovered blood clot as the reason he is hanging up his cleats after six NFL seasons. "On April 24th I had emergency pulmonary embolism surgery to remove a saddle clot that was entering both of my lungs. As a healthy 29-year-old, an unprovoked pulmonary embolism with no further medical explanation is terrifying. I am truly thankful to be alive today," Price wrote on Instagram. "Unfortunately, I will be retiring from the NFL as the risk of an internal bleed while on blood thinners creates tremendous risk." • Brandon McManus Accused Of Sexual Assault

    Headshot for Brandon McManus

Two women are suing kicker Brandon McManus and the Jacksonville Jaguars, alleging that McManus sexually assaulted them during the team's overseas flight to London last year, according to court documents. The lawsuit was filed on Friday and accuses McManus of rubbing himself against them and grinding against them. The two women are also accusing the Jaguars of failing to supervise McManus and failing to create a safe environment for staff serving the team. They are seeking over $1 million and are demanding a jury trial. The 32-year-old veteran signed a one-year, $3.6 million deal with the Washington Commanders this offseason, but he could now be facing a suspension to begin the 2024 season. In 17 games for the Jaguars in 2023, McManus made 81.1% of his 37 field-goal attempts and was successful on all 35 of his extra-point tries.

Allen said months ago that he didn't want to be part of another rebuild, but the long-time defensive captain is thrilled with how things are unfolding under new general manager Adam Peters and head coach Dan Quinn. Following Pro Bowl nods in 2021 and 2022, Allen had 53 tackles (30 solo), 5.5 sacks, 10 tackles for loss and 19 QB hits in 16 starts. The 29-year-old former 17th overall pick in 2017 out of Alabama has no more guaranteed money left on his deal, which has two years remaining. The 27-year-old tight end spent all of the 2023 campaign on Injured Reserve due to a knee injury that he suffered in training camp last summer. Now that he's back and looking good, Zylstra will give the team extra depth at the tight end position behind Sam LaPorta, Brock Wright and James Mitchell. The former undrafted free agent isn't anywhere close to the fantasy radar and has only 14 receptions for 94 yards and four touchdowns since entering the league in 2021.

Glenn called Campbell a "grown man" with the way he's approaching things as a true Mike linebacker. After the team tinkered with his positional versatility in 2023, the Lions seem to want him to settle in as their middle linebacker moving forward. Campbell was drafted with the 18th overall pick last year out of Iowa and finished his first year in the NFL with 95 tackles (52 solo), two sacks and five tackles for loss in 17 regular-season games (12 starts). The 23-year-old was in the starting lineup for 11 of the team's final 12 games and should continue to see a bigger role for Detroit's D heading into his second season.

He was spotted riding a scooter around the facility during organized team activities last week. The 22-year-old cornerback is progressing well despite the fact that he wasn't available to take part in OTAs this spring. In his rookie campaign in 2023 for the Lions, Branch looked pretty good, recording 74 tackles (50 solo), one sack, three interceptions, 13 passes defended and a forced fumble that resulted in a touchdown.

New England Patriots linebacker Matthew Judon (biceps) is back to full health this offseason and is expected to take part in the team's mandatory minicamp in June after he tore his biceps early last year before having season-ending surgery. Barring a setback in minicamp and in training camp and the preseason, the 31-year-old veteran appears to be on track to be ready for the start of the 2024 season. And if he's fully healthy all year, Judon should be on the IDP fantasy radar after he racked up a career-high 15.5 sacks to go along with 60 tackles (36 solo) in 17 games (15 starts) in 2022. Judon was a Pro Bowler in four straight seasons from 2019-22 and had a combined 28 sacks, 74 solo tackles, 28 tackles for loss, 53 QB hits, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in 2021 and 2022.

  • Browns Considering Adding Hunter Renfrow?

According to Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com, the Browns could consider signing free-agent wide receiver Hunter Renfrow. However, Cabot added that Cleveland might only sign the 28-year-old if Deshaun Watson, his former collegiate teammate, requests it. Renfrow played his entire career with the Raiders before the team released him in March in a cost-cutting move. His best season was in 2021 when he had 103 catches for 1,038 yards and nine touchdowns. But his production declined significantly over the last few seasons. With that said, the Browns already have Amari Cooper and Jerry Jeudy on the roster, meaning there may not be enough targets for others. Headshot for Charlie Kolar

Baltimore Ravens tight end Charlie Kolar added some bulk to his frame this offseason, and head coach John Harbaugh said this offseason that he'd like to see Kolar continue to become a more developed blocker. Kolar looks ready to take on that role, which is extremely important for an offense that relies so much on punishing opposing defenses on the ground. The 25-year-old tight end showed progress in his second year in the NFL in 2023, but that still amounted to only seven receptions for 87 yards and a touchdown on nine targets, even with top tight end Mark Andrews missing time with a leg injury. Behind both Andrews and Isiah Likely and because he's primarily a blocking-first tight end, Kolar should remain well off the fantasy radar in 2024.

  • Derrick Henry Will Be Involved In Passing Attack

    Headshot for Derrick Henry

Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry will be involved in the team's passing game in his first year with the team in 2024. Henry caught a couple passes out of the backfield from quarterback Lamar Jackson during organized team activities this week, and he did more pass-catching in the last couple years with the Tennessee Titans, catching 33 passes for 398 yards in 2022 and 28 passes for 214 yards last year. He had never reached 20 receptions in a season before that in his career. Despite all the tread on Henry's tires at this point in his career, it sounds as though the Ravens aren't putting a cap on his workload in 2024 as they try to get over the hump to reach the Super Bowl. Henry will start to become more of an injury risk at the 30-year-old mark, but you can't ignore the fact he's led the league in rushing in four of the last five seasons. As long as his workload remains hefty, Henry will be an RB1 in fantasy.

Fashanu has been recovering from a strained quadriceps muscle that he suffered while running the 40-yard dash at the NFL scouting combine in February but appears to be fine now and should be ready for training camp, the preseason and the start of his rookie season in 2024. The Jets selected the 21-year-old with the 11th overall pick in last month's NFL draft, so Fashanu will most likely become a starter for the Jets sooner than later in 2024. While Burrow has all the tools needed to be a top fantasy quarterback, his health will be on the mind of all fantasy managers. However, it seems Mixon and Pierce could collectively remain productive enough to exceed expectations during the 2024-25 campaign, although it will be tough to tell which player will be the most productive from week to week.

  • Brandon Aiyuk Reportedly Looking To Double Annual Salary

    Headshot for Brandon Aiyuk

According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk is reportedly looking for a new contract similar to what Amon-Ra St. Brown got from the Lions. The wideout is slotted to make just over $14 million on his fifth-year option. However, if Aiyuk gets his wish, he could double that amount. Of course, St. Brown has been more productive, so it will be tough to justify making Aiyuk one of the highest-paid receivers in the National Football League. But the 26-year-old is coming off the best season of his career, amassing 1,342 yards and seven touchdowns off 75 catches, meaning someone would be more than happy to pay him if the 49ers decide to move on from this situation.

While the Packers underwent some major changes atop their RB depth chart, AJ Dillon will be sticking around Green Bay after re-signing with the organization this offseason. • Dyami Brown's Stock Is Down

    Headshot for Dyami Brown

Washington Commanders wide receiver Dyami Brown's stock is down this offseason after the team added Olamide Zaccheaus in free agency and drafted Luke McCaffrey in the third round. Brown, a third-round pick in 2021, has just 29 receptions in his three NFL seasons, and two of his three career touchdowns came in one game. He offers a different player profile than both Zaccheaus and McCaffrey, but Washington's previous staff made Brown available at last year's trade deadline, according to league sources. Another challenge for Brown will be the fact that the Commanders love to use 12 personnel, which means two tight ends on the field at the expense of a receiver. The presence of pass-catching running back Austin Ekeler also likely cuts down the available snaps for Brown in 2024.

  • Chris Rodriguez Jr. Likely To Serve As No. 3 RB

    Headshot for Chris Rodriguez

Washington Commanders running back Chris Rodriguez Jr. is likely headed for the No. 3 role in the backfield behind Brian Robinson Jr. and Austin Ekeler after the team passed on selecting another RB in this year's NFL draft. Rodriguez is the clear early-down backup to Robinson, whether that means five to 10 touches from scrimmage per game or a lower figure. However, he could have a bigger role on special teams if the Commanders view him as part of what looks like a trend of teams seeking bigger-bodied kick returners given the new league rules on kickoffs. The 23-year-old doesn't have a path to any kind of real fantasy value in 2024 unless one of Robinson or Ekeler go down with an injury. In his rookie campaign in 2023, Rodriguez had 51 carries for 247 yards and two touchdowns while catching two passes for 12 yards in 13 regular-season games.

  • Mazi Smith Still Working His Way Back From Shoulder Surgery

    Headshot for Mazi Smith

Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Mazi Smith (shoulder) is still working his way back from a shoulder problem that bothered him during his rookie season which forced him to have surgery at the beginning of the offseason. "He's still in the rehab group," McCarthy said. "Working primarily with our rehab guys. He's still in our meetings and everything else." The 22-year-old former 26th overall pick last year out of Michigan played in all 17 regular-season games (three starts) in his first NFL season in 2023 and finished with just 13 tackles (nine solo), one sack, three tackles for loss and three QB hits. The hope is that Smith is much more effective in his sophomore campaign after getting his shoulder fixed. The Cowboys hope that he'll be a force on the interior of their defensive line in 2024.

  • Dustin Hopkins Has Recovered From Hamstring Injury

    Headshot for Dustin Hopkins

Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said that kicker Dustin Hopkins (hamstring) has recovered from the torn hamstring that he suffered on Christmas Eve last year against the Houston Texans that sidelined him for the rest of the season and the playoff loss. Despite being recovered from the injury, Hopkins was a notable absence during organized team activities this week. The Browns also have kickers Cade York and Lucas Havrisik on the current roster, but barring injury, the 33-year-old Hopkins figures to be the team's starting kicker in Week 1 of the 2024 regular season. Despite missing the final two games of the regular season last year, Hopkins finished as the No. 12 fantasy kicker by making 33 of his 36 field goal-attempts and 24 of his 26 extra-point tries. He'll be a fringe fantasy kicker in drafts this fall.

  • Jalen Tolbert In Position For WR3 Role In Dallas

    Headshot for Jalen Tolbert

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb's absence at voluntary organized team activities this offseason has opened up opportunities for the team's young receivers such as Jalen Tolbert, a third-round pick in 2022. Tolbert has the chance to take the No. 3 role behind Lamb and Brandin Cooks this year after the Cowboys released Michael Gallup in the offseason and didn't address the position with a known commodity in free agency or early in the draft. The 25-year-old had only 22 catches for 268 yards and two touchdowns last year, but he showed improvement from his rookie season in which he caught just two passes for 12 yards and was inactive for nine games. Tolbert is heading into the 2024 season with more confidence and more trust from quarterback Dak Prescott, which could make him a sleeper to target late in deeper fantasy leagues.
