  • Diontae Johnson Scores Again In Week 14 Loss

    Headshot for Diontae Johnson

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson recorded three receptions for 57 yards and a touchdown on seven targets in a 21-18 loss to the New England Patriots. Quarterback Mitch Trubisky looked Johnson's way often and found him downfield for a 25-yard score late in the second quarter. After finishing with zero touchdowns last season, Johnson has scored three times in nine games in 2023. If Kenny Pickett (ankle) is inactive again in Week 15, Johnson will likely operate as Trubisky's favorite target once again in a showdown with the Indianapolis Colts.

  • Jaylen Warren Sees Five Targets In Week 14

    Headshot for Jaylen Warren

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Warren managed just 11 yards on seven carries and hauled in four of his five targets for 29 yards in a Week 14 loss to the New England Patriots. Although Warren's seven carries were his fewest in a contest since Week 8, his utilization in the passing game was encouraging. Still, it didn't amount to much fantasy production as the Patriots held Warren and Najee Harris to 88 total yards combined. Fortunately, Warren will have a good shot to return to form in Week 15 against a struggling Indianapolis Colts defense.

  • Tyler Conklin Stays Limited At Practice

    Headshot for Tyler Conklin

For the second straight day this week, New York Jets tight end Tyler Conklin (hamstring) put in a limited practice. Conklin hasn't missed a single game all year and appears to be on the right track to suit up in Week 14 against the Houston Texans. He has yet to find the end zone in 12 games in 2023, but it's worth nothing that he drew a season-high nine targets in the Week 13 loss to the Atlanta Falcons, catching only three of them for 35 yards. While Conklin isn't going to suddenly jump onto the TE1 fantasy tier given the poor offense he resides in, but he should have a higher ceiling now that quarterback Zach Wilson is taking back over as the starter this weekend.

  • Najee Harris Bottled Up By Patriots

    Headshot for Najee Harris

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris handled 12 carries for 29 yards and secured all three of his targets for 19 yards in a Week 14 loss to the New England Patriots. The 25-year-old continued to split work with backfield mate Jaylen Warren, but neither of them managed to do much against a stout New England run defense. Pittsburgh's offense struggled to move the ball with Mitch Trubisky under center as Harris was held to fewer than 50 total yards for just the second time since Week 6. Harris and the Steelers will look to bounce back against a vulnerable Indianapolis Colts defense next Saturday.

  • Aaron Rodgers Returns To Limited Practice

    Headshot for Aaron Rodgers

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers (Achilles) had a planned off day in his rehab on Wednesday but returned to a limited practice on Thursday. The fact that Rodgers is even practicing at all after tearing his Achilles in Week 1 is amazing in itself. With that said, the 40-year-old still isn't close to game action and isn't going to attempt a miraculous comeback in 2023 unless the Jets somehow start winning games to get into the postseason picture in the AFC. For fantasy purposes, it's even more of a long shot that Rodgers will make an impact this year. In a best-case scenario, Rodgers was hoping to potentially return in Week 16 on Christmas Eve against the Washington Commanders.

  • Mitch Trubisky Scores Twice In Week 14 Loss

    Headshot for Mitchell Trubisky

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mitch Trubisky completed 21 of his 34 pass attempts for 169 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in a 21-18 loss to the New England Patriots. He added 30 yards on the ground and a rushing touchdown on eight carries. Filling in for the injured Kenny Pickett (ankle), Trubisky struggled to lead the Steelers' offense on Thursday night. Although he connected with Diontae Johnson on a nice deep ball for a 25-yard score, the 29-year-old missed open receivers and made questionable decisions on multiple occasions. If Pickett is ruled out again in Week 15, Trubisky would likely be in line to make a second consecutive start against the Indianapolis Colts.

  • Tyquan Thornton Registers Three Catches Thursday

    Headshot for Tyquan Thornton

New England Patriots wide receiver Tyquan Thornton turned five targets into three receptions for 17 yards during Thursday's upset victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers. The second-year pass-catcher saw an increased role with Rhamondre Stevenson (ankle), Demario Douglas (concussion), and DeVante Parker (knee) sidelined. He was the Patriots' No. 2 wide receiver behind JuJu Smith-Schuster, who finished with four catches and 90 yards. Thornton is a solid contributor on offense but should be left on fantasy waivers in all redraft leagues going forward.

  • Ezekiel Elliott Dominant While Earning 29 Touches

    Headshot for Ezekiel Elliott

New England Patriots running back Ezekiel Elliott rushed 22 times for 68 yards during Thursday's upset win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was also quite impressive in the passing game, catching seven of eight targets for 72 receiving yards and one touchdown. The veteran running back saw a drastically increased role in Week 14 with Rhamondre Stevenson (ankle) sidelined and wasted no time getting involved. Elliott was the Patriots' top weapon on offense and has delivered key production as a pass-catcher midway through his age-28 season. Even with a trickier matchup against the Chiefs on tap, Elliott will remain a low-end fantasy RB2 option in Week 15.

  • D'Onta Foreman Practices In Full Again

    Headshot for D'Onta Foreman

Chicago Bears running back D'Onta Foreman (ankle) was a full participant in practice for the second straight day on Thursday. Foreman tweaked his ankle in Week 11 and didn't play in Week 12 as a result. The team's Week 13 bye looks like it did Foreman some good and he's trending in the right direction to head into Sunday's Week 14 contest against the Detroit Lions without an injury designation. The 27-year-old had a good run as the Bears' starting back with Khalil Herbert on Injured Reserve from Weeks 6-11, picking up 365 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 87 carries. Rookie Roschon Johnson took over as the primary ball-carrier back in Week 12, though, and this backfield could be headed towards a frustrating three-headed committee now that Foreman is on the cusp of his return.

  • Hunter Henry Scores Two Touchdowns In Week 14

    Headshot for Hunter Henry

New England Patriots tight end Hunter Henry caught all three of his targets for 40 yards and two touchdowns during Thursday's upset win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Henry benefitted from an expanded role with teammates Rhamondre Stevenson (ankle), Demario Douglas (concussion), and DeVante Parker (knee) sidelined. Week 14 was certainly Henry's best game of the season, and it could be tough to trust him in a much more difficult matchup against the Chiefs next week. Nevertheless, he'll at least garner some streaming consideration in leagues with 12-plus teams. He's a touchdown-dependent mid-range TE2 going forward.

Dec 7 · Source via New England Patriots Hunter Henry
  • JuJu Smith-Schuster Totals 90 Yards Against Steelers

    Headshot for JuJu Smith-Schuster

New England Patriots wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster caught four of six targets for 90 yards during Thursday's upset win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. It was a revenge game for Smith-Schuster, who played in Pittsburgh from 2017 through 2021. He accumulated a large portion of his yardage on the opening drive with a spectacular 37-yard grab down the sideline. There's no denying that the 27-year-old benefitted from being the top wide receiver with Demario Douglas (concussion) and DeVante Parker (knee) out. Despite his big game, he'll be tough to trust in fantasy football against another one of his old teams, the Chiefs, next week. By then, Douglas or Parker (or both) could be back, taking Smith-Schuster off the fantasy radar.

  • Bailey Zappe Throws For Three Touchdowns In Week 14 Win

    Headshot for Bailey Zappe

New England Patriots quarterback Bailey Zappe completed 19 of 28 passes for 240 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception during Thursday's win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. He had one of the best games of his career, leading the underdog Patriots to just their third victory of 2023 (and their first since Week 7). This performance is all the more impressive when you consider that Zappe didn't have key offensive playmakers Rhamondre Stevenson (ankle), Demario Douglas (concussion), and DeVante Parker (knee) at his disposal. The Patriots will draw a tough matchup against the Chiefs in Week 15, but Zappe could remain on the fantasy radar as a low-end QB2 if New England falls behind early and has to pass a lot.

  • Chase Brown Looks Ready To Play

    Headshot for Chase Brown

Cincinnati Bengals rookie running back Chase Brown (hamstring) didn't have any limitations in practice on Thursday following a limited designation in practice a day earlier. The 23-year-old third-rounder should be able to play on Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts unless he suffers a setback on Friday. Brown looked fresh and was given a season-high nine carries for 61 yards (6.78 yards per carry) in Monday night's overtime win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. In standard-sized leagues, this is just something worth keeping an eye on over the next couple of weeks. Joe Mixon isn't going anywhere as Cincy's lead back, but Brown could see his role grow as a complementary ground option down the stretch if he continues to look like he did in Week 13.

Dec 7 · Source via Cincinnati Bengals Chase Brown
  • Hayden Hurst, Tommy Tremble Limited Thursday

    Headshot for Hayden Hurst

Carolina Panthers tight ends Hayden Hurst (concussion), Tommy Tremble (hip) and Stephen Sullivan (shoulder) were limited in Thursday's practice session. Hurst suffered a serious concussion in Week 10 that resulted in post-traumatic amnesia. It's nice to see him back on the practice field and his head injury isn't believed to be career-threatening, but we shouldn't expect Hurst to return in Week 14 against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. Tremble did not play in the Week 13 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but he could be Carolina's top tight end this Sunday against the Saints if he gets the green light. None of the Panthers' tight ends have been realistic TE2 streamers during their one-win season. Stay away.

  • Tyrod Taylor Practicing In Full

    Headshot for Tyrod Taylor

New York Giants quarterback Tyrod Taylor (ribs) was listed as a full participant on Thursday's estimated practice report. The Giants designated Taylor to return from Injured Reserve earlier this week, opening up a 21-day window for him to officially be activated from IR. The G-Men are going to stick with undrafted rookie Tommy Devito as their starter for at least another game on Monday night against the Green Bay Packers, but it doesn't mean that Taylor won't be active as the backup for that one. The 34-year-old veteran signal-caller went 46-for-72 for 487 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in three starts from Weeks 6-8 before injuring his ribs and landing on Injured Reserve. It's entirely possible that Taylor could start as soon as Week 15 if DeVito struggles against Green Bay.

  • Rashod Bateman Feeling Better Thursday

    Headshot for Rashod Bateman

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Rashod Bateman (illness) returned to a full practice on Thursday after he sat out with an illness on Wednesday. Coming off a bye, Bateman should now be good to go for the Week 14 contest versus the Los Angeles Rams. Even with tight end Mark Andrews (ankle) expected to miss the rest of the year, Bateman just hasn't done anything to show that he warrants much fantasy attention. The 24-year-old is clearly behind rookie first-rounder Zay Flowers in the pecking order in 2023, and he might be behind veteran Odell Beckham Jr. as well. Bateman has only one touchdown on the year, 22 receptions and 236 yards in 11 game. He doesn't have more than three receptions or 36 receiving yards in a single contest this season.

  • Elijah Mitchell Misses Another Practice

    Headshot for Elijah Mitchell

San Francisco 49ers running back Elijah Mitchell (knee) was unable to suit up for Thursday's practice session. His status for Week 14 is in doubt after being absent for the first two practice sessions of the week. Mitchell has been operating as the primary backup to Christian McCaffrey. If Mitchell sits, McCaffrey will likely see an increased workload during this game. Jordan Mason would probably take over as the backup to McCaffrey. However, he probably won't have much fantasy value even with increased snaps.

  • Justin Jefferson Gets In Another Full Practice

    Headshot for Justin Jefferson

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson (hamstring) was able to get through another full practice session on Thursday. This is now back-to-back days that Jefferson has been a full participant in practice. At the moment, all signs are pointing to Jefferson being active for the Week 14 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders. His return should be a boost to Joshua Dobbs who will remain the team's starting quarterback. Jefferson is obviously a must-start in all formats, assuming he does suit up this weekend.

  • Alex Highsmith Downgraded To Out

    Headshot for Nick Herbig

Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Alex Highsmith (neck) has been downgraded to out for the rest of Thursday's game against the New England Patriots. Highsmith was originally listed as questionable after exiting during the first half of this game. Considering the injury, the Steelers have decided to take the cautious approach and hold out Highsmith for the rest of the game. This is a tough blow to the Steelers defense considering how well Highsmith has been playing through the first 12 games of the season. Nick Herbig and Kyron Johnson should see more snaps with Highsmith done for the night.

  • Joshua Palmer Limited On Thursday

    Headshot for Joshua Palmer

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer (knee) was a limited participant during Thursday's practice. This marks back-to-back limited practice sessions for Palmer to begin the week. His 21-day window to return is open, so possibly Palmer gets back on the field for the Week 14 matchup against the Denver Broncos. If active, Palmer would have some WR3 upside with the Chargers having limited weapons on offense. Fantasy managers will have to check back on Friday for another update on his status.

  • Kareem Hunt Gets In Limited Practice Session

    Headshot for Kareem Hunt

Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt (groin) was a limited participant during Thursday's practice session. This is good news after Hunt was unable to practice at all on Wednesday. It sounds like Hunt is making progress ahead of the Week 14 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. If he sits, Jerome Ford and Pierre Strong Jr. would see more looks on the ground. Ford is the much better fantasy option between the two backs. Fantasy managers will have to check back on Friday for another update on Hunt.

  • Tyler Boyd Gets Added To Injury Report

    Headshot for Tyler Boyd

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd (ankle) was able to get through a limited practice session on Thursday. Boyd wasn't on the injury report on Wednesday, but appears to have injured his ankle at some point. The veteran wideout has been quiet recently with 11 receptions for 82 yards over his last three games. The expectation is that Charlie Jones would see more work if Boyd can't play this weekend. However, neither of them have much fantasy value heading into the Week 14 versus the Indianapolis Colts.

  • Dawson Knox Remains Full Participant On Thursday

    Headshot for Dawson Knox

Buffalo Bills tight end Dawson Knox (wrist) was able to get through a full practice session on Thursday. This marks back-to-back days that Knox has been able to practice in full capacity. The Bills opened up their 21-day window for Knox to return on Wednesday. Given his progress, there's a chance that Knox suits up against the Kansas City Chiefs this weekend. His return could make for a messy situation with Dalton Kincaid playing extremely well right now. Knox should be considered a low-end TE2 if he plays because he wasn't exactly doing well before the injury.

  • Durham Smythe Misses Practice Thursday

    Headshot for Durham Smythe

Miami Dolphins tight end Durham Smythe (ankle) was unable to practice with the rest of the team on Thursday. Smythe apparently injured his ankle in the Week 13 win over the Washington Commanders and is now up in the air to play on Monday Night Football in Week 14 against the Tennessee Titans. Fantasy managers shouldn't be considering Smythe at all in a starting spot to begin with, though, as he's caught only 18 passes for 178 yards and no touchdowns for Miami in 2023 on 25 targets. If Smythe doesn't get cleared to play against Tennessee, the Dolphins will turn to some combination of rookie Julian Hill and Tyler Kroft at the tight end position. Neither player would be worth a look as a fantasy streamer, as the Dolphins just haven't used their tight ends much in 2023.

Dec 7 · Source via Miami Dolphins Durham Smythe
  • De'Von Achane Listed With Ribs Injury

    Headshot for De'Von Achane

Miami Dolphins rookie running back De'Von Achane (ribs) was able to practice in full on Thursday, but he was listed with a ribs injury instead of a knee injury that planted him on Injured Reserve earlier in 2023. The 22-year-old third-rounder from Texas A&M was held out in Week 12 as a precaution due to his knee, too, but he returned in last Sunday's blowout win over the Washington Commanders and commanded 17 carries for 73 yards and two more touchdowns on the ground. Raheem Mostert, who leads all of football with 14 rushing scores this year, isn't going anywhere, but Achane's explosiveness on the ground because of his top-end speed is incredibly attractive in fantasy lineups. Mostert has been a fantasy lineup staple in 2023, but Achane has more upside as an RB1 with his ability to take it to the house on any of his touches.

Dec 7 · Source via Miami Dolphins De'Von Achane
  • Raheem Mostert Sits Out On Thursday

    Headshot for Raheem Mostert

Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert (knee) was held out of the team's first practice of the week on Thursday, as has become the norm for him this year. Mostert has been getting a veteran rest day early in the week before returning to practice and suiting up on Sundays. Fantasy managers should prepare to have the 31-year-old available for Monday night in Week 14 against the Tennessee Titans. Mostert has been money in fantasy this year because of his league-leading 14 rushing touchdowns. However, he played a season-low 39 percent of the offensive snaps in the Week 13 win over the Washington Commanders and is trending towards becoming more of a touchdown-dependent RB2 with explosive rookie De'Von Achane now back in the mix and set to take away valuable touches from Mostert.

Dec 7 · Source via Miami Dolphins Raheem Mostert
  • Tyreek Hill Picks Up DNP In First Practice

    Headshot for Tyreek Hill

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill (ankle) was listed as a non-participant for the team's first practice of the week on Thursday. The Dolphins gave their best player a veteran rest day, so we should expect Hill to return to practice on Friday and eventually be fine to suit up on Monday Night Football against the Tennessee Titans. The 29-year-old Cheetah has pretty much been unstoppable in his second year in Miami in 2023. He's just too fast for opposing wideouts to cover consistently and he comes into Week 14 with 1,481 receiving yards on 93 catches and 12 trips to the end zone. Hill is a set-and-forget fantasy asset and will be looking for his fourth straight 100-yard performance in Week 14 against the Titans as the overall WR1 in fantasy.

  • Geno Smith Added To Injury Report With Groin Issue

    Headshot for Geno Smith

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith (groin) was added to the Week 14 injury report on Thursday due to a groin injury that kept him limited in practice. Mid-week additions to the injury report aren't the greatest of signs, but we'll have a better idea of how serious Smith's groin injury is after the team's practice on Friday. If it's serious enough to keep him sidelined this weekend, backup Drew Lock would make the start for Seattle. The 33-year-old Smith bounced back in a big way in last Thursday's loss to the Dallas Cowboys, throwing for 334 yards and a season-high three touchdowns, but fantasy managers shouldn't expect an encore in Week 14 if he plays against the division-rival San Francisco 49ers. Smith went for 180 yards, no TDs and an interception just two weeks ago on Thanksgiving night in the first meeting with San Fran and their elite defense.

  • Tyler Higbee In Danger Of Missing Week 14

    Headshot for Tyler Higbee

Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee (neck) has yet to practice this week after missing another session on Thursday. Higbee cleared the concussion protocol after taking a hard hit in the Week 13 win over the Cleveland Browns, but he's dealing with a stinger that could keep him out of action this coming Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens. The 30-year-old will have to practice on Friday to have a shot at being active this weekend. Higbee came out of nowhere to produce his first two touchdowns of the year in Week 12, but otherwise he's been a lackluster TE2 streamer ever since receiver Cooper Kupp made his season debut earlier in the year. If Higbee is unable to play in Week 14, Hunter Long and Brycen Hopkins would be asked to pick up the slack at the position.

  • Puka Nacua Practices Without Limitations Thursday

    Headshot for Puka Nacua

Los Angeles Rams rookie wide receiver Puka Nacua (shoulder) went from being limited in practice on Wednesday to a full participant in Thursday's session. Head coach Sean McVay didn't seem worried about Nacua at all on Wednesday despite the fact that he suffered an AC joint sprain in his right shoulder in the Week 13 win over the Cleveland Browns. The 23-year-old may not be 100 percent healthy in Week 14 against the Baltimore Ravens, but he needs to remain in all starting fantasy lineups despite the difficult matchup. Nacua has already topped 1,000 yards receiving through his first 12 NFL games and should be targeted heavily by quarterback Matthew Stafford yet again this Sunday.

Dec 7 · Source via Los Angeles Rams Puka Nacua
  • Najee Harris Officially Active Thursday Night

    Headshot for Najee Harris

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris (knee) is officially active for the Thursday night contest against the visiting New England Patriots. Harris was listed as questionable on the final injury report, but the 25-year-old was expected to play and will be active as the Steelers look to bounce back after a Week 13 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Fantasy managers should be downgrading Pittsburgh's entire offense with quarterback Kenny Pickett (ankle) out and Mitch Trubisky making his first start of the year. On a short week and at less than 100 percent health, Harris could take a back seat to backfield mate Jaylen Warren as well, which would make him even more volatile for fantasy purposes in an offense that hasn't been good all year. Harris will be a shaky RB3/flex option in Week 14.

  • Kendre Miller Looks Set To Miss Another Game

    Headshot for Kendre Miller

New Orleans Saints rookie running back Kendre Miller (ankle) stayed off the practice field on Thursday for the second straight day this week. Miller hasn't practiced or played since injuring his ankle in Week 10 and looks set to miss yet another contest this Sunday when the team takes on the division-rival Carolina Panthers. The 21-year-old third-rounder has a bright future as a pass-catching specialist in the NFL, but he's going to need to stay healthy for that to materialize. In his seven games played, he has 28 rushing attempts for 83 yards and has caught nine passes for 111 yards. If he's able to return in the final five weeks of his rookie season, he'll most likely be third on the RB depth chart behind bell-cow back Alvin Kamara and Jamaal Williams.

  • Juwan Johnson Stays Limited Thursday

    Headshot for Juwan Johnson

New Orleans Saints tight end Juwan Johnson (quadriceps) stayed limited at practice on Thursday for the second straight day this week. Johnson could end up with a questionable tag on Friday's final Week 14 injury report, but all signs point to him playing in Week 14 against the Carolina Panthers. There aren't going to be many fantasy managers trying to use Johnson as a tight end streamer after he put up a donut in the Week 13 loss to the Detroit Lions, even if Taysom Hill (foot, hand) is unable to play. On top of it, backup quarterback Jameis Winston might have to make the start for Derek Carr (concussion, rib, shoulder), who was beat up again last Sunday. The 27-year-old Johnson offers very little upside with an 18-142-1 line in eight games played this season.

Dec 7 · Source via New Orleans Saints Juwan Johnson
  • Taysom Hill Absent Again On Thursday

    Headshot for Taysom Hill

New Orleans Saints tight end/quarterback/running back Taysom Hill (foot, hand) remained sidelined at practice on Thursday for the second straight day this week. Hill is looking pretty questionable to play this weekend against the Carolina Panthers unless he returns to the practice field on Friday. The 33-year-old Swiss Army Knife had a season-high 13 carries for 59 yards and a touchdown in the Week 13 loss to the Detroit Lions, but he's been a pretty volatile fantasy asset in an inconsistent Saints offense all year, and now he could miss Week 14 action. If Hill does play, though, and quarterback Derek Carr (concussion, rib, shoulder) is inactive, he could see a much larger package as a QB/RB for the Saints offense. As a fantasy tight end, he's shaping up as a risky low-end TE1.

  • Derek Carr Practices Again Thursday

    Headshot for Derek Carr

Dealing with three separate injuries, New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr (concussion, rib, shoulder) was able to practice on a limited basis for the second straight day on Thursday. This isn't Carr's first concussion of the year, which makes the fact that he's practicing at all a little surprising. It doesn't mean the 32-year-old will be cleared to play in Week 14 against the Carolina Panthers, though. Carr has eclipsed 300 yards passing in five games in 2023 but has only 11 touchdowns to show for it and is seemingly getting hurt every week. If he's active on Sunday, he'll be a low-end QB2 for fantasy managers in a tough matchup against Carolina. In Week 2 against the Panthers, Carr threw for 228 yards, no touchdowns and one interception. If he cannot play, it will be turnover-happy Jameis Winston making the start at QB for the Saints.

  • C.J. Beathard Puts In Another Limited Practice

    Headshot for C.J. Beathard

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback C.J. Beathard (shoulder) was limited in practice again on Thursday due to a left-shoulder injury. Beathard's shoulder injury isn't something that will keep him sidelined in Week 14 against the Cleveland Browns, and there's a pretty good chance he'll be forced to start under center for the Jaguars with Trevor Lawrence battling a high-ankle sprain that he suffered in the Monday night overtime loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. The 30-year-old signal-caller doesn't have a ton of experience in the NFL and would certainly be a big downgrade for the offense from Lawrence. At best, Beathard will be in play as a desperation low-end QB2 option for fantasy managers in superflex leagues if Lawrence is ruled out in Week 14.

Dec 7 · Source via Jacksonville Jaguars C.J. Beathard
  • Zay Jones Limited In Practice Again Thursday

    Headshot for Zay Jones

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Zay Jones (knee) was limited once again in practice on Thursday. Jones' knee injury is probably one that he's going to have to manage throughout the rest of the season after already missing six games in 2023 because of it. He's played the last three games, though, and he managed season-highs in catches (five), targets (eight) and receiving yards (78) in Monday night's overtime loss to the Cincinnati Bengals when Christian Kirk (core) got hurt on the first offensive series of the night. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence's (ankle) injury takes some shine away from Jones in the short term, but the 28-year-old pass-catcher is absolutely worth a waiver-wire pickup if he's still available since Kirk is expected to miss the next six to eight weeks.

  • Travis Etienne Jr. Stays Limited

    Headshot for Travis Etienne

Jacksonville Jaguars running backs Travis Etienne Jr. (ribs) and D'Ernest Johnson (knee) were both limited in practice on Thursday for the second straight day this week. Etienne was also listed with a rib injury leading up to the Week 13 overtime loss to the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday night, but he managed to play and rack up 79 scrimmage yards and a touchdown on 15 total touches. Both Etienne and Johnson should be fine to play in Week 14 against the Cleveland Browns in a tough matchup. Not only is the matchup not ideal for Etienne and the Jags' running game, but there's a good chance they'll be without starting quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who suffered a high-ankle sprain on Monday night. If C.J. Beathard is running the offense this weekend, Etienne will be more of a low-end RB2 in fantasy.

Houston Texans wide receiver Noah Brown (knee) put in a full practice on Thursday following a limited session on Wednesday. Brown missed Weeks 11 and 12 with a knee injury but returned in last week's win over the Denver Broncos. He played 81 percent of the offensive snaps but failed to haul in either of his season-low two targets. It was a disappointing return, especially after he went over 100 yards in each of his previous two games. Fantasy managers that are willing to overlook the Week 13 dud could be rewarded with Brown in a flex spot in deeper leagues in Week 14 against the New York Jets. Rookie Tank Dell (leg) is out for the year, and tight end Dalton Schultz (hamstring) could be in danger of missing his second straight game. Another 100-yard game is probably unlikely for Brown, but a bounce-back performance is likely.

  • Dalton Schultz Downgraded At Thursday's Practice

    Headshot for Dalton Schultz

Houston Texans tight end Dalton Schultz (hamstring) kicked off practice preparations in Week 14 with a limited practice on Wednesday but was then downgraded to a non-participant on Thursday. It's unclear if the Texans were simply resting Schultz after he didn't play in the Week 13 win over the Denver Broncos or if he's truly in danger of missing his second straight game this weekend against the New York Jets. We'll have a better idea of the 27-year-old's status on Friday, but fantasy managers hoping to start him this week should already have a backup plan in place. Brevin Jordan is preparing to start in Week 14 just in case Schultz cannot go. In last week's win over Denver, Jordan had three catches for a season-high 64 yards on five targets.

  • Cowboys Defense Looks To Rebound In Week 14

The Dallas Cowboys defense is coming off their worst performance of the season and will look to bounce back in a tough Week 14 game against the Philadelphia Eagles. The Cowboys allowed 35 points and 406 total yards to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 13, putting up a standard scoring fantasy score of negative one. It was tied with their Week 5 performance against San Francisco for their worst outing of the season. They will likely fare slightly better in Week 14, although with a high-scoring game likely, they aren't more than a top-15 option at best for this matchup.

  • Brandon Aubrey Set For Another Good Game In Week 14

    Headshot for Brandon Aubrey

Dallas Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey is a strong kicking option in a Week 14 divisional game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Aubrey has been solid all season and is coming off a huge game in Week 13 where he kicked four field goals and three extra points. In what should be a high-scoring but close Sunday Night Football game, Aubrey is a top-five option at the kicking position in fantasy leagues that have kickers on their starting rosters.

  • Julio Jones Trending In The Wrong Direction

    Headshot for Julio Jones

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Julio Jones (groin) missed his second straight day of practice this week on Thursday. Jones apparently hurt his groin in the Week 13 blowout loss to the San Francisco 49ers and may need to sit out this upcoming game on Sunday versus the division-rival Dallas Cowboys. The 34-year-old veteran isn't really on the fantasy radar, though, as he's had a pretty small role in the offense since debuting for the Eagles in Week 7. In his six games played with Philly, Jones has five catches on eight targets for just 16 yards and one touchdown. If he is unable to get the green light to play this Sunday, Quez Watkins would be battling for No. 3 duties behind A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith with Olamide Zaccheaus.

  • Jake Ferguson Has A Good Matchup In Week 14

    Headshot for Jake Ferguson

Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson has a good matchup in a Week 14 divisional matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles. Ferguson has been the fantasy TE7 this season and gets to go up against an Eagles defense that has allowed the third-most touchdowns to tight ends and the 10th most fantasy points to the position. In what should be a high-scoring but close game, Ferguson is a top-10 fantasy option at the tight end position and can be started in most formats.

  • Another Full Practice For Dallas Goedert

    Headshot for Dallas Goedert

Philadelphia Eagles tight ends Dallas Goedert (forearm), Jack Stoll (knee) and Grant Calcaterra (ankle) all practiced in full and should play in Week 14 in a huge divisional matchup against the rival Dallas Cowboys. Goedert is still on Injured Reserve, but it's likely a formality that he'll be officially activated by Saturday and make his return to the lineup for the first time since fracturing his right forearm in Week 9. The 28-year-old could have his snaps limited somewhat in his first game back this weekend, but fantasy managers should be looking to get him back into their starting lineups immediately. Goedert was injured in the Week 9 game against Dallas and finished with three catches on four targets for 50 yards. When fully healthy, he's the No. 3 receiving option behind wideouts A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith.

  • Brandin Cooks Has Upside In Week 14 Divisional Matchup

    Headshot for Brandin Cooks

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Brandin Cooks has a good matchup in a Week 14 game against the division rival Philadelphia Eagles. Cooks has finished as at least a fantasy WR3 in five of his last seven games, and should be able to do that again in a good matchup against the Eagles. In what should be a high scoring Sunday Night Football contest, Cooks and the rest of the Cowboys offense should thrive, making Cooks a definite starting option in most fantasy formats.

  • Derrick Henry Should Be Good To Go For Week 14

    Headshot for Derrick Henry

Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry was given his typical rest day in the first practice of the week on Thursday, and he was not listed with any injury after being examined for a concussion late in Sunday's overtime loss to the Indianapolis Colts. The 29-year-old hasn't had any concussion symptoms since and is on track to suit up in Week 14 against the Miami Dolphins on Monday Night Football. Before leaving Sunday's game, King Henry had his third 100-yard game of 2023 and added his third and fourth rushing touchdowns in the last two weeks. Negative game script could very well be coming his way against the high-octane offense of the Dolphins, but Henry should be active and serve as the Titans' clear lead back over rookie Tyjae Spears.

  • CeeDee Lamb A Top Option Again In Week 14

    Headshot for CeeDee Lamb

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb remains a top fantasy option in a Week 14 game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Lamb has been a top-20 fantasy wide receiver in all but three games this season, and is on a roll of seven straight of those games. The Eagles secondary is nothing to be afraid of, making Lamb an easy top-10 option with clear top-three upside.

  • Jayden Reed Remains On Injury Report

    Headshot for Jayden Reed

Green Bay Packers rookie wide receiver Jayden Reed (chest) remains listed on the team's Week 14 injury report with a chest injury that limited him in Thursday's practice. It's an injury that Reed has played with each of the last two weeks. The 23-year-old has caught eight of his 13 targets for 50 yards and a touchdown in that time. It's not much to look at from a fantasy perspective, but Reed could be a pretty attractive flex play in deeper leagues in a great Week 14 matchup against the New York Giants on Monday Night Football. On top of the advantageous matchup, Reed could see more targets come his way with Christian Watson (hamstring) looking pretty iffy for this upcoming contest.

  • Rico Dowdle Back To Backup Status In Week 14

    Headshot for Rico Dowdle

Dallas Cowboys running back Rico Dowdle has fallen back into backup status over the past few games and is not a worthwhile fantasy option in a Week 14 game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Dowdle had an upswing earlier in the season where he was clearly the most effective runner in the Cowboys backfield, but starter Tony Pollard has reemerged over the past three games and taken over the position for himself. Dowdle is worth a stash because he'd be an immediate top-20 option if Pollard were to miss time, but he's not a starting option at this point.

  • AJ Dillon Listed As Limited Thursday

    Headshot for AJ Dillon

Green Bay Packers running back AJ Dillon (groin) is still managing a groin injury and was listed as limited in Thursday's practice. Dillon was on last week's injury report with the same ailment but managed to play and serve as the team's lead back for the second straight week, carrying the ball 18 times for 73 yards and catching a 14-yard pass in the win over the Kansas City Chiefs. The 25-year-old bruising back could go back to more of a complementary role on Monday night against the New York Giants, though, as Aaron Jones (knee) was able to practice on a limited basis as well on Thursday. Jones, the team's primary back when healthy, has missed the last two weeks due to an MCL sprain.

  • Christian Watson Unsure If He'll Play Monday Night

    Headshot for Christian Watson

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson (hamstring) said he doesn't think the right-hamstring injury he suffered on Sunday night in the win over the Kansas City Chiefs is as severe as the one that kept him out for the first three games of this season. However, he does not know if he'll be able to play on Monday night against the New York Giants in Week 14. The 24-year-old was unable to practice on Thursday, too, so he's off to a bad start in the first practice of the week. It's bad timing, as Watson was just starting to get into a groove with quarterback Jordan Love in recent weeks. Fantasy managers that have been using Watson in their starting lineups should be planning to be without him in Week 14, especially with the game being on Monday night. Romeo Doubs and rookies Jayden Reed (chest) and Dontayvion Wicks would be looking at bigger roles in an excellent matchup if Watson is ruled out.

  • Tony Pollard Looks To Continue His Upswing In Week 14

    Headshot for Tony Pollard

Dallas Cowboys running back Tony Pollard will look to keep his recent upswing going in a Week 14 game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Pollard has three straight top-12 fantasy running back finishes after having only one in Weeks 2 through 10. His explosiveness seems to have returned as well, as he's ranked fourth in explosive run rate and 12th in yards after contact among all running backs since Week 8. The Eagles defense has been solid against the run this season, but they've struggled a bit lately, making Pollard a low-end RB1 for this matchup.

  • Lamar Jackson Under The Weather Thursday

    Headshot for Lamar Jackson

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson (illness) missed practice on Thursday due to an illness. Jackson has popped up on the Week 14 injury coming off the team's bye, but he still has two full days to recover before having to suit up on Sunday to take on the Los Angeles Rams. We'll continue to keep a close eye on the 26-year-old signal-caller, but we'd expect him to be feeling better by Sunday and to play this weekend. Fantasy managers shouldn't be too worried right now and need to keep him locked in as a high-end QB1 in all lineups. If Jackson misses another practice on Friday and is questionable on the final injury report, there will be some more cause for concern.

Dec 7 · Source via Baltimore Ravens Lamar Jackson
  • Breece Hall Expects To Play In Week 14

    Headshot for Breece Hall

New York Jets running back Breece Hall (ankle) said he expects to play in Week 14 on Sunday against the Houston Texans despite missing the first two days of practice this week on Wednesday and Thursday with an ankle injury. If the 22-year-old second-year back practices on Friday, he'll certainly have a chance to play this weekend. There is some optimism that quarterback Zach Wilson returning to the starting role on Sunday will give the Jets offense a bit more upside, but fantasy managers haven't gotten much from Hall since a 177-yard effort in Week 5 against the Denver Broncos. He's only scored twice on the ground in 12 games all year and not since Week 6. If Hall does practice on Friday and play on Sunday, he should be considered a low-end RB2 in fantasy lineups.

  • Dak Prescott A Top Choice For Week 14

    Headshot for Dak Prescott

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is one of the top ranked fantasy quarterbacks for a Week 14 divisional matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles. Prescott has been a top-three fantasy quarterback in six of his past seven games and has just been on an absolute tear this season. Meanwhile, the Eagles defense has allowed the second-most passing touchdowns and the third-highest passer rating, making this another outstanding matchup, at least on paper, for Prescott and the Cowboys passing game. Trust Prescott as a strong QB1 option with easy top-three upside.

  • Chargers Defense Has A Much Tougher Matchup In Week 14

The Los Angeles Chargers defense will have a much harder matchup in a Week 14 game against the Denver Broncos. The Chargers ended up as the second ranked fantasy defense in Week 13, putting up 17 fantasy points for an overall DST2 finish. They allowed zero points, recorded five sacks, and recovered a fumble, but that was all against a very limited Patriots offense. The Broncos don't feature a top-tier offensive unit, but they're streets ahead of the Patriots.

  • Cameron Dicker Set As A Starter For Week 14

    Headshot for Cameron Dicker

Los Angeles Chargers kicker Cameron Dicker is set for a good game in a Week 14 matchup against the Denver Broncos. Dicker scored all six points in the Chargers-Patriots game in Week 13, drilling two field goals in the 6-0 win. Week 14 should feature at least a few more points, giving Dicker a better outlook for the week. He's a top-10 kicking option in fantasy formats that have the position on the roster.

  • Gerald Everett Could Have A Strong Week 14 Game

    Headshot for Gerald Everett

Los Angeles Chargers tight end Gerald Everett could have a big game in a Week 14 matchup against the Denver Broncos. Everett has had two of his highest snap shares in the past two games and put up 18 fantasy points combined in the two weeks. The Denver defense has allowed the second-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends as well as the second-most receiving yards to the position. With a limited pass-catching corps around for the Chargers due to injury, Everett should be a bottom-half TE1 this week.

  • Jalen Guyton Not Worth A Start In Week 14

    Headshot for Jalen Guyton

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Jalen Guyton is not worth a start in a Week 14 game against the Denver Broncos. Guyton is the fastest wide receiver on the Chargers roster, but it has not translated into anything on the field, as he's gone two games in a row with just one catch in each game. He's totaled 14 fantasy points in the four games he's played this season, with 12 of those points coming in a solid Week 10 performance. He's off the fantasy radar until he can prove that the one-catch games are the exception and not the 12-point one.

  • Quentin Johnston Coming Off One Of His Best Games

    Headshot for Quentin Johnston

Los Angeles Chargers rookie wide receiver Quentin Johnston is coming off one of his best games before a Week 14 matchup against the Denver Broncos. Johnston set career highs last week in three categories with seven targets, five catches, and 52 yards. It wasn't a great performance by any means (eight fantasy points) and he left points on the field with another atrocious drop in a key moment, but it was at least a small sign of progress. Johnston is not worth starting in most fantasy formats at this point, but he's someone to keep an eye on in case all of the talent finally clicks.

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen is set to bounce back in a Week 14 game against the Denver Broncos. Allen was dealing with a quadriceps injury last week and had a down game by his standards, putting up just eight fantasy points. He's still a top-three fantasy wide receiver in almost all formats, and despite a tough matchup against the Broncos defense, he's easily ranked in the WR1 tier this week. Allen did not practice on Wednesday, but was listed as a non-injury related rest day, which is another excellent sign.

  • Austin Ekeler Has A Good Week 14 Matchup

    Headshot for Austin Ekeler

Los Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler has a good matchup in a Week 14 home game against the Denver Broncos. Ekeler has yet to really look like himself this season outside of a nice three-game stretch from Weeks 8 through 10, but a matchup against Denver's defense might be just what Ekeler needed. The Broncos defense does a decent job in the passing game, but their run defense has allowed running backs to thrive on the ground. In the past three weeks combined, Ekeler has put up just 17 fantasy points total; there's a decent chance he eclipses that in just one game this Sunday. Start him as a borderline RB1/2 with upside.

  • Justin Herbert Looks To Get Back On Track In Week 14

    Headshot for Justin Herbert

Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert will look to get back on track in a Week 14 game at home against the Denver Broncos. Herbert is the overall fantasy QB5 this season, but he and the Bolts offense have struggled quite a bit in the past two games, leaving him with just 22 total fantasy points since Week 11. A matchup with the Denver defense isn't ideal, as they've been excellent against opposing quarterbacks since Week 8, allowing the second-lowest passer rating and the fewest passing touchdowns in that span. Still, we've seen what Herbert can do, so he's almost always going to be in the QB1 ranks, but there's certainly a lower floor this week than he usually has.

  • Christian Watson Not Practicing To Open Week 14

    Headshot for Christian Watson

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson (hamstring) is not practicing on Thursday after injuring his hamstring on Sunday night against the Kansas City Chiefs. Early reports have indicated he will not be heading to injured reserve, but it is worth remembering that Watson also missed the first three games of 2023 due to an injured hamstring. The timing of the injury is especially frustrating given that the wideout was on a bender after a cold start to the season. Week 13 was the third straight game that Watson found his way to the end zone, scoring two touchdowns on his seven catches for 71 receiving yards. Week 14 is a Monday night game which would give him an extra day to recover, but if he must sit it would boost the value of Jayden Reed and Romeo Doubs. Last week, the rookie caught all nine of his targets for 140 yards and a touchdown, which is an unprecedented stat line for a first-year tight end. He was already a must-start option, but his Week 13 performance cemented his status as a top-three rest-of-season tight end. • Dexter Lawrence Limited In Practice On Thursday

    Headshot for Dexter Lawrence

New York Giants defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence (hamstring) was limited in Thursday's practice. The lineman is nursing a hamstring injury suffered in Week 11 that held him out of the Giants' Week 12 game against the New England Patriots. Luckily, New York had a bye last week and the team has an extra day to prepare as their next matchup lands on Monday night. Through the first 11 games of the Giants' schedule, Lawrence has been credited with 41 tackles and four sacks. Without a full practice in the next two days, Lawrence would carry an injury designation into that game against the Green Bay Packers, but his return to the practice field in some capacity is a step in the right direction.

The New Orleans Saints D/ST has been an inconsistent unit for fantasy purposes and is coming off of a loss to Detroit in which they surrendered 33 points, recorded one sack, and did not tally a turnover. New Orleans is in a prime position to bounce back defensively, with a divisional matchup against the Carolina Panthers on tap for Week 14. On the season, Carolina's offense has been the fifth-best matchup for opposing defenses for fantasy purposes. Rookie quarterback Bryce Young has thrown nine interceptions, matching his total number of passing touchdowns on the season. Fire up the Saints D/ST in a bounce-back opportunity.

Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams is averaging just 3.0 targets, 1.6 receptions, and 24.3 receiving yards per game in eight contests this year. Almost any player with those stats would be ignored entirely in fantasy football, but Williams is a fringe flex option in Week 14. The second-year speedster has three touchdowns on the year, and touchdowns are the only path to fantasy upside based on what his productivity in his first two seasons. He should be avoided in most lineups, but deep-league fantasy managers seeking a boom-or-bust option can roll the dice on Williams against the Bears on Sunday.

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson (undisclosed) was not seen during practice on Thursday. The star signal-caller is not known to be dealing with an injury, though back in Week 11 he may have been dealt a minor ankle injury after being tackled. The tweak was not serious enough to cost him any time in that game, though he was noticeably limping afterward. The missed practice is Jackson's first absence of the season, though the Ravens have yet to release an official report. Without any other news, it is likely this is simply a rest day, though on the off-chance that Jackson was to miss Week 14, fourth-year backup Tyler Huntley would be next in line for the start against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.

St. Brown has been one of the most reliable fantasy options in the NFL since last season, and he remains a high-floor, high-ceiling WR1 against the Chicago Bears in Week 14. He has already matched last season's touchdown total (six) and gone over 1,000 yards on the season. The 24-year-old is having the best campaign of his young career, so continue to trust him in fantasy lineups on Sunday.

    Headshot for A.T. Perry

New Orleans Saints rookie wide receiver A.T. Perry has seen an uptick in playing time over the past three games with the position group banged up, but it has not translated to significant enough volume to warrant starting him in fantasy lineups. Perry saw three targets in Week 13's loss to Detroit, hauling in a single 30-yard reception. His snap count has decreased each week since seeing 84% of snaps in Week 11, and no New Orleans pass catcher outside of Chris Olave should be trusted against a Carolina defense that limits opposing receiver production (9th).

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence (ankle) was seen at the team's practice on Thursday. After logging a DNP on Wednesday, the signal-caller was participating in some warm-ups and throwing exercises but sat out most drills. The injury came in Week 13's Monday night matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals, when one of his own linemen accidentally stepped on his ankle. Lawrence has not been ruled out for the Jaguars' Week 14 game against the Cleveland Browns, but it would be surprising if he played. Assuming Lawrence sits, C.J. New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave has been on a tear as of late, recording four straight games with either 100+ receiving yards or a touchdown. With Rashid Shaheed (thigh, DNP) still banged up, Olave should yet again see a bulk of the Saints' receiving work in a matchup against the NFL's worst team. While Carolina does rank top 10 in fantasy points per game allowed to opposing receivers, this is by no means a matchup that should be avoided. Carolina surrenders the second-most points per game, meaning touchdown opportunities will exist for Olave. • Jahmyr Gibbs Remains High-Upside Running Back Play

    Headshot for Jahmyr Gibbs

Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs has cooled off in recent weeks, totaling just 15.2 half-PPR fantasy points in his last two games. The rookie speedster had a four-week stretch with at least 18.5 fantasy points, but David Montgomery is now healthy and commanding plenty of touches. However, Gibbs has still been efficient as a runner during his rough patch, posting 114 rushing yards on just 19 carries. His receiving workload has been the biggest issue, compiling just five catches for 13 yards in Week 12 and Week 13. The weekly touch distribution in the Lions backfield could vary week-to-week, so although Gibbs is no longer a "safe" play, he still has upside thanks to his big-play potential and receiving role. The Chicago Bears have surrendered the third-most receptions to running backs this season (6.1), so he has a real chance to get back on track in Sunday's NFC North contest.

Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones (knee) was back at practice on Thursday for the first time since spraining his MCL almost three weeks ago. The Packers have an extra day in Week 14 before facing the New York Giants on Monday Night Football. Jones looked to be moving around pretty well during individual drills, but it remains to be seen if he was a full participant in team drills. Either way, it's good progress and could put him on track to play this week. Fantasy managers could have a difficult decision on the 29-year-old this week if he's listed as questionable for the Monday night game. AJ Dillon has grinded out yards as Green Bay's lead back the last two games with Jones sideline, but he hasn't found the end zone. We should have a better idea on Jones' Week 14 status by Saturday.

  • David Montgomery Looks To Extend Touchdown Streak Against Bears

    Headshot for David Montgomery

Detroit Lions running back David Montgomery has scored a touchdown in four straight games. Additionally, the former Chicago Bear has found the end zone in every game that he hasn't exited due to injury. That said, he remains a must-start against the Bears in Week 14. Even though Chicago has allowed the third-fewest rushing yards per game to the position this season, Montgomery has one of the most valuable short-yardage roles in the NFL. Even if he fails to post an efficient outing on the ground, his opportunity to score keeps him in the RB1 discussion.

  • Jonathan Taylor Still Missing From Practice

    Headshot for Jonathan Taylor

Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor (thumb) remains absent from practice on Thursday. Taylor had surgery on his right thumb last week and didn't play in the Week 13 overtime victory over the Tennessee Titans. He's expected to miss anywhere from three to five weeks with the injury, so it's no surprise he's still absent from team practices. Despite the possibility that Taylor won't be back to help fantasy managers that are advancing to the postseason, the 24-year-old deserves stashing as Indy's lead back when healthy. Zack Moss is an absolute must-start RB1 in fantasy lineups in Week 14 in a great matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals and their poor run defense.

  • Jared Goff A Fringe QB1 Against Bears

    Headshot for Jared Goff

Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff has thrown two touchdowns in four straight games, keeping him solidly on the fantasy radar in single-QB leagues. Before his hot streak, the veteran had five games of one touchdown pass or fewer. Ultimately, pure pocket passers like Goff need multiple touchdowns to pay dividends in fantasy, but he should have a good chance to keep his streak alive against the Chicago Bears in Week 14. The Bears have allowed the eighth-most fantasy points per game to signal-callers this year and have given up the third-most touchdown passes per game (1.9).

  • Breece Hall Missing From Practice Again

    Headshot for Breece Hall

New York Jets running back Breece Hall (ankle) is missing practice on Thursday for the second straight day this week. ESPN New York's Rich Cimini suggests it could be a Dalvin Cook week for the Jets' backfield. Hall still has one more day to return to practice, but things aren't looking great for him right now and fantasy managers need to prepare for the possibility that he won't suit up against the Houston Texans in Week 14. The 22-year-old has become an uninspiring RB2 for fantasy managers in this inept Jets offense, although the return of quarterback Zach Wilson to the starting role at least gives a little hope that they can improve down the stretch. Cook is averaging a career-worst 3.3 yards per carry and would be a low-end RB2 in fantasy if Hall is eventually ruled out. Check back on Friday.

  • Isiah Pacheco To Miss Another Practice

    Headshot for Isiah Pacheco

Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco (shoulder) will miss a second straight practice this week on Thursday. Pacheco is dealing with a shoulder contusion, so it's a bit odd to see him out for a second straight day. The 24-year-old back could easily return to practice and play in a big Sunday contest against the Buffalo Bills, but fantasy managers should be a little more concerned after two missed practices to start the week. Jerick McKinnon (groin) has also missed the last two games, so KC's backfield is suddenly thin heading into Week 14. If Pacheco and McKinnon were to be inactive this weekend, the backfield would be led by Clyde Edwards-Helaire. Pacheco is having a fantastic second season in the NFL and has been a must-start in all fantasy lineups, but he could be in danger of sitting out or being limited against Buffalo.

  • Dorian Thompson-Robinson Practicing Again, Still In Concussion Protocol

    Headshot for Dorian Thompson-Robinson

Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson (concussion) is practicing for the second straight day on Thursday, but he remains in the league's concussion protocol. He threw to practice-squad players during the portion of practice open to the media. Joe Flacco continues to work with the first-team offense and is fully expected to make his second straight start in Week 14 against the Jacksonville Jaguars this Sunday, even though the Browns have been mum on their starting QB for this week so far. The 24-year-old rookie was thrust into the starting role again in Week 11 when Deshaun Watson (shoulder) was lost for the season, but he suffered a concussion in Week 12 and was forced to sit out last week's loss to the Los Angeles Rams. As long as Flacco doesn't implode, Cleveland will likely opt for experience under center as they push for a playoff spot.

  • Amari Cooper Not At Practice Thursday

    Headshot for Amari Cooper

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper (concussion) is missing from practice for the second straight day this week on Thursday. Cooper suffered a concussion in the Week 13 loss to the Los Angeles Rams and is highly questionable to play this Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Browns are saying Cooper has some more boxes to check to gain clearance from the league's concussion protocol, but that may not happen until next week. If the 29-year-old can't play this weekend, Elijah Moore, rookie Cedric Tillman, David Bell and tight end David Njoku would step into bigger roles. Moore has plenty of chemistry with quarterback Joe Flacco from their two years together for the New York Jets, and Flacco targeted Moore a season-high 12 times last Sunday.

  • Hayden Hurst's Head Injury Isn't Career-Threatening

    Headshot for Hayden Hurst

Carolina Panthers tight end Hayden Hurst (concussion) doesn't think the post-traumatic amnesia he was diagnosed with by an independent neurologist after suffering a concussion will be career-ending. "I'm doing better each day," Hurst said. "It's not going to end my career, just being cautious as I come back. Should be another week or two." Hurst appeared as a limited participant in Wednesday's practice for the first time since suffering the concussion on Nov. 9 against the Chicago Bears. The 30-year-old has been out for the last three games and is likely to miss a few more before returning. He has only 18 catches for 184 yards and one touchdown in nine games this year, putting him off the fantasy radar. With Tommy Tremble (hip) missing last week, the Panthers were down to Ian Thomas and Stephen Sullivan.

  • Robbie Gould Announces Retirement

    Headshot for Robbie Gould

Veteran kicker Robbie Gould officially announced his retirement from professional football on Thursday after 18 years kicking in the NFL. Gould began his career as an undrafted free agent out of Penn State and was signed by the Chicago Bears in 2005. He spent the next 11 seasons with Chicago, making 85.4% of his 323 field-goal attempts and 99% of his extra points, earning a first-team All-Pro selection and Pro Bowl nod in his second year in 2006. Gould spent one year with the New York Giants before ending his career with six seasons for the San Francisco 49ers. The 41-year-old finishes up an excellent NFL career with a field-goal percentage of 86.5 and extra-point conversion rate of 97.5%. Gould was one of the most reliable kickers of his generation.

  • Dawson Knox Feeling "Fresh"

    Headshot for Dawson Knox

Buffalo Bills tight end Dawson Knox (wrist) said he's feeling "fresh" as he gets set to return from Injured Reserve. The Bills opened up Knox's 21-day practice window this week, and they could officially activate him on Saturday so that he can suit up on Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs for the first time since Week 7. Knox put in a full practice on Wednesday and appears ready to go for Week 14. The 27-year-old had been taking a back seat to impressive rookie Dalton Kincaid, though, so there's no reason to believe that Knox will come in after a long injury layoff and suddenly have a significant role in the passing game, especially in his first game back. Still, Knox's impending return isn't great news for fantasy managers that have been enjoying all the targets that Kincaid has been seeing.

  • Amari Cooper Has More Boxes To Check

    Headshot for Amari Cooper

Cleveland Browns offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt said that wide receiver Amari Cooper (concussion) still has more boxes to check in the league's concussion protocol before he'll be cleared to play in Week 14 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Cooper didn't practice on Wednesday and is up in the air to play this weekend after suffering a concussion in the Week 13 blowout loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Fantasy managers shouldn't be expecting the 29-year-old wideout to play this Sunday, so make sure to have a backup plan in place. With Cooper out last Sunday, Elijah Moore stepped up and had his busiest day with quarterback Joe Flacco throwing him the ball, catching four passes on a season-high 12 targets for a season-high 83 yards.

  • Dolphins Sign Offensive Tackle Austin Jackson To Extension

    Headshot for Tua Tagovailoa

The Miami Dolphins and right tackle Austin Jackson have agreed to a three-year, $36 million contract extension. It includes $20 million in guarantees and a max value of $39 million. Jackson, a first-round pick in 2020, protects the blindside for left-handed quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. He's appeared in every game this season and allowed just two sacks. He'll be under contract through the 2026 season.

  • Tyler Higbee Sits Out Of Wednesday's Walkthrough

    Headshot for Tyler Higbee

Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee (neck) did not participate in the team's walkthrough practice on Wednesday. The veteran tight end is dealing with a neck stinger that he suffered during the Week 13 win over the Cleveland Browns. He did avoid a concussion on that hit. Higbee has been pushing through a down year in the stats department. He's only scored twice (both in Week 12) and has tallied 34 catches for 367 yards. Even if he's active on Sunday, which remains a question mark at this point, there are several better waiver wire options. The Rams face a tough Baltimore defense on Sunday.
