  • Titans Claim Sam Ficken, Waive Blake Haubeil

The kicker competition in Tennessee has taken a turn, as the Titans have claimed former Jets kicker Sam Ficken off waivers and have waived Blake Haubeil. Haubeil had been competing with Tucker McCann for the role, but both players have struggled in camp, especially on longer kicks. Ficken should be expected to win this job at this point after going 12-for-15 on field goals last season. There's not much reason to roster whoever the Titans kicker is in fantasy, though.

  • Blake Haubeil, Tucker McCann Battle For Titans Kicker Job

The Tennessee Titans have a kicker battle in training camp, with Blake Haubeil and Tucker McCann competing for the job. Neither player has attempted a field goal in an NFL game, so training camp results will matter a lot here, which is why Thursday's showing from both players was such a disappointment. Turron Davenport of ESPN says that both kickers were 3-for-5 kicking, with both missing their 49-yard attempts and each missing a kick of 40 yards or less. Whoever wins this role won't be on your fantasy radar in 2021, though at this stage we can't rule out the Titans looking to free agency to bring stability to the position.

  • A.J. Brown Unguarable Early In Training Camp

Tennessee Titans star wide receiver A.J. Brown is dominating training camp practices. Brown had offseason surgery on both knees, so there were some questions about his participation early in camp, but he's quickly putting those to rest. According to Austin Stanley, Brown "continues to look unguardable through 2 days of Titans camp... breaking off double moves routes, leaving DBs chasing & catching TDs with ease." This is nothing new for the hyper-efficient Brown, who totaled 70 receptions, 1075 yards, and 11 touchdowns in 2020 on just 107 targets. Brown should see favorable coverages in a Tennessee offense that projects to air it out more in 2021 following the addition of star WR Julio Jones. Brown projects as a no-brainer WR1 coming into the season.

  • Jeremy McNichols Opens Camp On PUP List

Tennessee Titans running back Jeremy McNichols will open camp on the NFL's Physically Unable to Perform list for undisclosed reasons. While unlikely to be a serious issue that lingers into the regular season, the battle for the No. 2 running back role behind Derrick Henry is a interesting one at this point, with McNichols, Darrynton Evans, and Brian Hill all fighting for those snaps. Unfortunately for all of those players, there's not going to be a ton of snaps to go around behind Henry. A lack of preseason practice time could be all it takes for McNichols -- who had 47 carries for 204 yards plus 12 receptions in 2020 -- to fall behind the rest of the competitors for that role. He shouldn't be on any fantasy draft boards.

  • Josh Reynolds In Line To Be No. 3 Receiver

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Josh Reynolds is in line to be the team's No. 3 receiver behind A.J. Brown and Julio Jones in his first year in Tennessee. Any of Reynolds, Brown or Jones could work out of the slot at any given time. Rookie Dez Fitzpatrick, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and Cameron Batson are the top contenders to fill out the receiver group heading into the regular season. Reynolds had some really high hopes in this offense before the Titans traded for Jones, but now he'll only be a late-round flier in much deeper leagues in case Brown or Jones miss time with injury. The 26-year-old caught a career-high 52 passes for a career-high 618 receiving yards and two touchdowns in 16 games (13 starts) in his final season with the Los Angeles Rams in 2020.

  • A.J. Brown Will Be Ready For Training Camp

Tennessee Titans wide receiver A.J. Brown (knees), who missed organized team activities and minicamp this spring while working his way back from postseason surgery on both knees, will be a full-go when the team starts training camp next Wednesday. When not on the field this spring, Brown continued his conditioning and watched loads of film. The 24-year-old caught 70 passes for 1,075 yards and 11 touchdowns in 14 games in 2020 while battling his knee issues throughout the season. Brown has been a top-15 fantasy wideout each of the last two years, and while his ceiling will be limited with All-Pro Julio Jones now in the mix, Jones' presence could also open up more one-on-ones for him. He's currently being drafted as the No. 7 receiver off the board in the early rounds, and fantasy managers should feel more comfortable with him as their WR1 if he proves he's fully healthy once practices begin.
