  • Kenneth Gainwell Looks To Keep It Up In Week 3

Philadelphia Eagles rookie running back Kenneth Gainwell will get his first taste of the Eagles-Cowboys rivalry and of Monday Night Football at the same time in Week 3. Gainwell has been the only running back besides Miles Sanders to get any touches through the first two weeks of this season. He's turned 15 rushing attempts into 51 yards and four catches into 24 yards and a touchdown. While he has clearly remained well behind the starter Sanders, Gainwell is still seeing enough production to be worth rostering on his own in deeper PPR formats. Fantasy managers rostering Sanders need to do everything they can to get Gainwell on their bench. He's one of the highest upside direct backups in the league right now.

  • Kenneth Gainwell Not A Starting Option Just Yet

Philadelphia Eagles rookie running back Kenneth Gainwell was surprisingly involved more than expected in Week 1 and should continue to carve out a role in the Philly backfield in Week 2. In his first NFL game, Gainwell saw 11 touches and scored a touchdown. While he clearly worked behind starter Miles Sanders, he also banished Boston Scott to a special teams-only role. Gainwell has clearly taken over the second spot on the running back depth chart and would be a startable fantasy asset immediately if Sanders were forced to miss time. For now, he's an upside stash that can work his way into FLEX consideration in deeper PPR leagues.

  • Kenneth Gainwell Scores His First Touchdown In Week 1

Philadelphia Eagles rookie running back Kenneth Gainwell operated as the second running back for the Eagles win over the Atlanta Falcons in Week 1. The rookie ran the ball nine times for 37 yards and a touchdown and added two catches on three targets for six more yards. Heralded as an excellent pass catcher coming out of college, Gainwell was used more as a pure runner in this game, although an extremely positive game script for the Eagles may have had something to do with that. His score came from eight yards out in the third quarter and put the Eagles ahead 22-6. With Boston Scott nowhere to be seen, Gainwell has the second spot on the running back depth chart locked up. He could be an every-week RB2 if starter Miles Sanders were to go down.
