  • Latest On Dolphins' Byron Jones

As their training camp opened up last month, the Dolphins placed cornerback Byron Jones on the PUP list. Recent remarks made on his status by head coach Mike McDaniel furthered the level of uncertainty surrounding the 29-year-old.  McDaniel acknowledged, via the Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson, that “there is concern” with where Jones is at during his recovery. The former […]

  • Tua Tagovailoa Connecting On Deep Passes

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has put his arm on display at training camp. The former Alabama collegiate star has connected on several deep passes with his speedy wideout duo of Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. Tagovailoa's arm strength was a question heading into the season, but his performance so far at practice is alleviating any concerns of him getting the ball to Miami's two deep-threat receivers. With an upgraded coaching staff, offensive line, and supporting cast, the third-year quarterback has a much better fantasy outlook going into the 2022 season. He figures to be best-valued as a QB2 option to start out, but the 24-year-old can be considered a breakout candidate with a shot at putting up low-end QB1 numbers for fantasy managers.

  • Dolphins Release DT Adam Butler

Signed in the wake of the Patriots poaching Davon Godchaux, Adam Butler is no longer with the Dolphins. The former Patriot received his walking papers Tuesday. A failed physical designation came with the release. The Dolphins signed Butler to a two-year, $7.5MM deal in 2021. With no money being guaranteed in Year 2, the team […]

  • Stephen Ross Suspended, Dolphins Lose Draft Picks

The NFL is docking the Miami Dolphins two draft picks and suspending owner Stephen Ross as a result of the league's tampering allegation. According to PFF's Ari Meirov, the Dolphins will forfeit a first-round pick in next year's draft and a third-round selection in the 2024 NFL draft. Ross will be suspended through Oct. 17 of this year after the league wrapped up their investigation. This is a serious matter, as losing draft picks, let alone a first-rounder, could set this franchise back in the upcoming draft.

  • Latest On Dolphins WR Preston Williams

The Dolphins have been one of the most aggressive teams this offseason with respect to offensive additions. Their receiving corps has been augmented both via trade and free agency, leaving one of their incumbent wideouts unhappy with his projected role.  Preston Williams took to Twitter last night to state that he “just want[s] [an] opportunity” (link). • Preston Williams Frustrated With Current Role

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Preston Williams has expressed frustration with his current role on the team. He recently went on social media to say that he just wants an opportunity. The 25-year-old signed a one-year deal with Miami over the offseason. The expectation was that Williams would have at least a part-time role on the team. However, Williams will now he buried on the depth chart with the Dolphins making major upgrades at wideout this offseason. They've brought in Tyreek Hill, Cedrick Wilson, and Erik Ezukanma with a fourth round pick. Also, the Dolphins have Trent Sherfield and Mohamed Sanu as depth. At this point, it wouldn't be shocking to see the Dolphins decide to trade Williams. He's not expected to have much fantasy value until he can get out of Miami.

  • Mike Gesicki Blocking More In Training Camp

Miami Dolphins tight end Mike Gesicki hasn't seen many targets in 11-on-11 work through four training camp practices so far. After seeing more snaps either out wide or in the slot than in a traditional tight end spot in 2021, Gesicki said he was in line on Saturday. The wide-zone scheme is a key component of new head coach Mike McDaniel's offense, so Gesicki will have to prove he's a capable run-blocker, something he hasn't been asked to do much in his four NFL seasons. The 26-year-old will surely have his opportunities to catch passes this year, but receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle are going to soak up a ton of targets in the passing attack. Gesicki should be considered a low-end TE1/high-end TE2 heading into his fifth season.

  • Raheem Mostert Says He'll Be Ready For Week 1

Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert (knee) said on Wednesday that he'll "be ready for Week 1." There was some doubt that Mostert would even be ready for the start of training camp this week, but he gained medical clearance and avoided the Physically Unable to Perform list, so it's definitely possible he'll be ready to go for the regular season opener. The 30-year-old has played in just nine games combined the last two seasons for the San Francisco 49ers due to knee injuries, and he'll be competing with Sony Michel this summer for a chance to get touches behind Chase Edmonds in what could become somewhat of a committee backfield. The Dolphins also have Myles Gaskin and Salvon Ahmed around for depth. Mostert has familiarity with head coach Mike McDaniel from their time in San Fran, but for now, Mostert should be considered a RB4/5 option for depth in deeper leagues.

  • Mohamed Sanu Signs With Dolphins

Veteran free-agent wide receiver Mohamed Sanu is signing with the Miami Dolphins on Tuesday, according to his agent, Mike McCartney. Sanu joins a crowded receiver depth chart in Miami that includes Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, Cedrick Wilson Jr. and Trent Sherfield, among others. The 32-year-old caught 15 of his 24 targets for 177 yards and no touchdowns in eight games for the San Francisco 49ers last year. Sanu's best season came back in 2018 with the Atlanta Falcons, when he caught 66 passes for 838 yards and four touchdowns in 16 starts. He'll function as receiver insurance in Miami and won't be on the fantasy radar unless several injuries at the position open up playing time for him.

  • Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert Cleared To Practice

The Dolphins have made a number of changes to their running game this offseason, including the addition of Raheem Mostert. The veteran’s health has been the cause of some speculation leading up to his debut season in Miami, but he provided an encouraging update on the subject today.  Mostert tweeted that he has been medically cleared […]

  • Raheem Mostert Medically Cleared

Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert (knee) announced on his Twitter account on Monday that he has received medical clearance to take part in training camp. It remains to be seen if Mostert will be 100 percent healthy by the time Week 1 rolls around, but it's a great sign that he'll be ready for the start of camp on Tuesday. Chase Edmonds figures to be the team's primary back in what is a crowded backfield, so Mostert will mostly be competing for a role alongside Sony Michel this summer. The Dolphins also have Myles Gaskin and Salvon Ahmed for additional depth. Mostert is familiar with head coach Mike McDaniel from their time in San Francisco, but the 30-year-old has had a tough time staying healthy, playing in just nine games the last two years due to injuries.

  • Byron Jones Placed On PUP List

The Miami Dolphins placed cornerback Byron Jones (Achilles) on the Physically Unable to Perform list on Friday ahead of training camp after the 29-year-old missed organized team activities this spring after undergoing offseason surgery on his Achilles. Jones can come off the PUP list at any time, but he can't practice with the team until that happens. When healthy, he's expected to return to a starting role opposite Xavien Howard. In 16 games last season, Jones had 58 tackles and 10 pass deflections for Miami. The Dolphins also placed defensive back Elijah Campbell on the Non-Football Injury list on Friday. Jones, a former first-round pick by the Dallas Cowboys back in 2015, has been named to one Pro Bowl while with the Cowboys in 2018.
