  • Raheem Mostert Believes Familiarity With Offense Will Help

Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert (knee) agreed to a one-year, $3.125 million contract in March after spending his previous six seasons in San Francisco. During Mostert's time in the Bay Area, he accumulated 1,610 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns and was a hit-or-miss fantasy option for years. However, with the deal, he will follow new Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel, who served as the 49ers run game and offensive coordinator since 2017. The 30-year-old believes his familiarity with the offense will help him this season. Still, with Mostert working his way back from a season-ending knee injury in September, he'll also need to battle Chase Edmonds, Sony Michel, and Myles Gaskin for touches. As a result, the veteran's outlook isn't as bright, although he may have a few sufficient fantasy performances during the 2022-23 campaign.

  • Raheem Mostert Expects To Play Week 1

Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert (knee) is expected to be able to suit up to begin the season. Although, head coach Mike McDaniel mentioned that the organization isn't going to rush it. Mostert suffered a knee injury in September and is still recovering from it. Chase Edmonds figures to be the primary back, but that might not last too long. Myles Gaskin, Sony Michel, and Mostert should be in the mix as well. This sounds like a headache for fantasy managers heading into the season.

  • Melvin Ingram Signs With Dolphins

Free-agent defensive end Melvin Ingram signed an undisclosed one-year deal with the Miami Dolphins on Sunday night, according to a source. The three-time Pro Bowler has 51 career sacks, 74 tackles for loss and 119 quarterback hits. The 33-year-old figures to rotate with Emmanuel Ogbah and Jaelan Phillips in Miami. Ingram spent last year with the Kansas City Chiefs and Pittsburgh Steelers, combining for 25 tackles (12 solo), four tackles for loss, 11 QB hits, two sacks and a forced fumble in 15 games (seven starts). He was originally a first-round selection (18th overall) by the Los Angeles Chargers in 2012 out of South Carolina.

  • Dolphins To Sign Melvin Ingram

Another veteran pass rusher has found a new home. Melvin Ingram is signing with the Dolphins, reports Aaron Wilson of Pro Football Network (Twitter link).  The recently-turned 33-year-old spent nine years with the Chargers. Beginning in 2014, he emerged as a disruptive presence against both the pass and the run, eclipsing the 10-sack mark in 2015 and […]

  • Dolphins To Create Competitive Environment At RB

Miami Dolphins associate head coach/running backs coach Eric Studesville said the team wants to "create a competitive environment and you let those guys go sort it out because that's how it's going to happen." "They're going to sort it out as to who contributes and where and how and how much. So that's what you do. You build a group of people great people who want to be smart and are committed to what you're trying to do, and you let them go and showcase what they can do." Chase Edmonds is expected to get the first crack at lead-back duties, but Sony Michel and Raheem Mostert will also be in the picture. Myles Gaskin, last year's starter, also remains on the roster. So if Edmonds isn't performing up to expectations, this could easily become a three-headed committee situation, which would be a nightmare for fantasy managers.

  • Tua Tagovailoa's Arm Strength Won't Limit Offense

Miami Dolphins offensive coordinator Frank Smith said the offense will not be limited in anything vertical under quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. Smith is optimistic about what he has seen in Tagovailoa's arm. The 24-year-old's left arm isn't the strongest in the league by any stretch, but the important thing is that he's surrounded by plenty of talent in the passing game with All-Pro wideout Tyreek Hill and rising second-year pass-catcher Jaylen Waddle. The Dolphins also have receiver Cedrick Wilson, tight end Mike Gesicki and a crowded backfield of Chase Edmonds, Sony Michel and Raheem Mostert. Tagovailoa won't suddenly become a high-end QB1 for fantasy purposes, but he could easily enter the low-end QB1 picture if he takes another step forward in Year 3.

  • Sony Michel Agrees To Deal With Miami

Free-agent running back Sony Michel agreed to a one-year deal with the Dolphins on Monday. The veteran visited the team last week, and he will now compete with Chase Edmonds, Raheem Mostert, Myles Gaskin, and Salvon Ahmed for playing time. It's conceivable to believe one of those backs will be cut loose ahead of the 2022 campaign. However, even with the crowded backfield, Michel's fantasy value will likely continue to be contingent on his red zone opportunities, an area where he accumulated a considerable portion of his touches last season while with the Los Angeles Rams. Nonetheless, the 27-year-old isn't anticipated to be a week-to-week fantasy option in any format. However, Michel should have some solid outings here and there throughout the year, making him more than just a standard insurance policy.

  • Dolphins To Sign RB Sony Michel

The Dolphins’ offseason backfield makeover will continue post-draft. They are signing former Patriots first-round pick Sony Michel, according to NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport (on Twitter). It’s a one-year deal, Josina Anderson of USA Today tweets. Michel, who trekked to Miami and New Orleans for visits last week, will join Chase Edmonds and Raheem Mostert in a […]
