  • Falcons Acquiring Bryan Edwards

The Atlanta Falcons acquired wide receiver Bryan Edwards from the Las Vegas Raiders on Friday. It's unknown what the Raiders are receiving in return. Even after adding wideout Drake London in the first round of this year's draft, the Falcons were in need of more receiving help with Calvin Ridley suspended for all of the 2022 season. Given that Olamide Zaccheaus and Auden Tate are the top receivers behind London, Edwards could immediately become the No. 2 pass-catcher for quarterback Marcus Mariota this year. The former third-round pick had 571 receiving yards and three touchdowns last year on 34 receptions in just his second NFL season, and he's still only 23 years old. There is more opportunity for Edwards in Atlanta, but it's also a downgrade overall on offense from Derek Carr to Mariota.

  • Keelan Cole Lands Deal With Vegas

Free-agent wide receiver Keelan Cole agreed to a one-year deal with the Raiders. Cole began his career with the Jaguars, where he spent four seasons before most recently suiting up for the New York Jets during the 2021-22 campaign. The 29-year-old hasn't been a reliable fantasy producer, racking up only 187 catches for 2,691 yards and 13 touchdowns throughout his five years of service. Things aren't anticipated to change in Las Vegas, as he will need to battle with guys like Davante Adams, Hunter Renfrow, and Darren Waller for targets. However, Cole may gain some interest from managers as a streaming option if an injury occurs somewhere in the receiving corps during the season.

  • Nick Kwiatkoski Visits With Raiders

Free-agent linebacker Nick Kwiatkoski visited with the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday. The same organization that cut the 28-year-old in March. They just bulked up their linebacker corps with the signing of Kenny Young. It's uncertain how serious the Raiders are about signing Kwiatkoski. He has reportedly visited with the Atlanta Falcons and has another meeting with a team scheduled. Kwiatkoski struggled in 2021, but finished with 81 tackles and one sack in 2020. He could be solid linebacker depth for a contending team.
