  • D.J. Chark Jr. Misses Practice Thursday

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver D.J. Chark Jr. (ribs) did not practice on Thursday for the second straight day. Chark is now in danger of sitting out in Week 12 against a vulnerable Browns Defense unless he gets in at least a limited practice on Friday. As of right now, the 24-year-old should be considered a shaky WR3/flex with quarterback Mike Glennon making his first start under center since 2017 with the Bears. If Chark is unable to suit up on Sunday, it'll boost the values of Keelan Cole, Chris Conley and rookie Laviska Shenault Jr. (if he plays). But the bottom line is it's tough to trust any Jacksonville pass-catcher with the team on their third starting QB in 2020. Running back James Robinson is the team's only real safe fantasy play against Cleveland.

  • Jaguars Defense To Be Without Three Coaches Sunday

The Jacksonville Jaguars Defense will be without three defensive coaches in Week 12 against the Browns, including defensive coordinator Todd Wash. Head coach Doug Marrone said that Wash was among those unavailable this week due to COVID-19 protocols. The entire defensive staff was not at the team facility on Tuesday as the team underwent contact tracing after positive COVID-19 tests. Secondary coach Joe Danna will call defensive plays against Cleveland. Special teams assistant Mike Mallory will run the defense during practices this week. An already bad Jacksonville defense just got worse, and on top of it they placed defensive end Josh Allen and cornerback D.J. Hayden on Injured Reserve on Tuesday. Stay far away from this defensive unit in fantasy against the Browns.

  • Jaguars Plan To Start Mike Glennon In Week 12

The Jacksonville Jaguars plan to start quarterback Mike Glennon in Week 12 against the Browns, according to head coach Doug Marrone. Gardner Minshew II (thumb) is nearing full health, but it will be Glennon over both Minshew and rookie Jake Luton on Sunday against Cleveland. The biggest takeaway here is that the Browns Defense, which won't have star pass-rusher Myles Garrett or standout defensive back Denzel Ward this weekend, will remain a strong play against a Jacksonville team with one win and on their third QB of the season. Glennon, 30, hasn't started a game in the NFL since 2017 with the Bears and is nothing more than a desperation low-end QB2 in superflex leagues. Make sure to downgrade all of Jacksonville's receivers as well.

  • Jaguars Put Josh Allen, D.J. Hayden On Injured Reserve

The Jacksonville Jaguars placed defensive end Josh Allen (knee), cornerback D.J. Hayden (hamstring) and safety Daniel Thomas (arm) on Injured Reserve on Tuesday. Allen suffered a knee injury in the Week 11 loss to the Steelers, and while he'll miss at least three games, the injury wasn't considered too serious and he should have a chance to return before the end of the year. The 23-year-old seventh overall pick in 2019 was a Pro Bowler in his rookie season when he recorded 10.5 sacks. However, he's struggled this year as the team's primary pass-rushing threat, recording just 2.5 sacks and 13 combined tackles in eight games. An already weak Jacksonville defense just got a lot weaker with the losses of Allen and Hayden. You should avoid their defense at all costs in Week 12 against the Browns.

  • Josh Allen's Knee Injury Isn't Serious

Jacksonville Jaguars pass-rusher Josh Allen's (knee) injury isn't believed to be too serious based on the initial diagnosis, but he will undergo more tests on Monday, according to a source. Allen will likely miss some game time, but his injury isn't considered to be a long-term one. Don't be surprised if the seventh overall pick in the 2019 draft isn't available to play against the Browns in Week 12, but he could return by Week 13 against the Vikings. An already bad Jaguars Defense will be hurt even more if the 23-year-old edge rusher misses any games. A Pro Bowler in his rookie season, Allen has 13 tackles (seven solo), 11 QB hits and 2.5 sacks in eight games this year after recording 10.5 sacks in 2019.

  • Andrew Norwell Week-To-Week

Jacksonville Jaguars offensive guard Andrew Norwell (arm), who suffered an arm injury in the Week 11 loss to the Steelers, is also out for Week 12 against the Browns. Norwell is considered week-to-week, according to a source. A first-team All-Pro as a left guard for the Panthers in 2017, the 29-year-old had played in every game this season this year before suffering the injury on Sunday. If Norwell can't make it back for the game against Cleveland on Nov. 29, he'll hope to get back on the field for the Week 13 contest against the Vikings.

  • D.J. Chark Jr. Leads Disappointing Jaguars Passing Day

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver D.J. Chark Jr. caught a team-high four passes for a team-high 41 yards in Sunday's loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. It was a disaster of a game for the Jacksonville passing game, with Chark and his eight targets being the closest thing to a bright spot that there was on a day that featured zero touchdowns and four interceptions. As long as Jake Luton is under center, Chark is a risky WR3 option.

  • James Robinson Has Acceptable Outing In Week 11

Jacksonville Jaguars running back James Robinson racked up 73 yards off 17 carries during the loss to Pittsburgh on Sunday. He also added two catches for 21 yards. The 22-year-old was the team's only source of production against a smothering Steelers Defense that forced Jake Luton to throw four interceptions. Robinson should continue to have his number called often moving ahead, primarily until Gardner Minshew II (thumb) can return to open up things on the passing end. Fantasy managers should keep him rolling.

  • Jake Luton Has Embarrassing Day

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Jake Luton was 16-for-37 for 151 yards and four interceptions during the loss to Pittsburgh in Week 11. The rookie wasn't able to get anything going and fell victim to an overwhelming Steelers Defense that was just too much to handle. The 24-year-old has now thrown two touchdowns and six interceptions while filling in for Gardner Minshew II (thumb), and unless he turns things around, he should remain out of fantasy lineups in all formats.

  • Jaguars Defense Loses Joshua Allen To Injury

Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Joshua Allen (knee) is doubtful to return to Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers after suffering a knee injury. Losing Allen is significant for the Jaguars Defense. The 2019 first round pick has 13 tackles and 2.5 sacks on the year. The Steelers were already moving the ball well in the first half with Allen on the field this week and they should have an even easier time the rest of the way if Allen indeed remains sidelined.

  • Gardner Minshew II Not Expected To Be Active

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew II (thumb) is not expected to be active for his team's Week 11 meeting with the Steelers. Jake Luton will start, with Mike Glennon backing him up. Luton's two starts have been fairly uneven, so there's no guarantee he remains the starter once Minshew is healthy, though Jacksonville might keep seeing what they have in Luton. Expected to draft a quarterback this upcoming year, the Jags are really just looking for a backup right now from among their three rostered QBs.

  • Sidney Jones (Achilles) inactive for Week 11 vs. PIT

Nov 22 · FantasyPros Jaguars Steelers Sidney Jones
  • Keelan Cole Sr. Is Risky Week 11 Play

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Keelan Cole Sr. saw an increase in usage last week against the Packers, catching five passes for 47 yards and a touchdown while also returning a punt for a score. But considering Cole had just two total receptions in the two previous games, it might not be a good idea to trust him in your fantasy lineups against a strong Steelers Defense, even if we do project some possible garbage time production for the Jags. Consider Cole a low-floor WR5 play.

Nov 21 · Source via Jaguars Keelan Cole
  • Jake Luton Not On Radar In Week 11

Jacksonville Jaguars rookie quarterback Jake Luton could theoretically get some garbage time numbers on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but it's really hard to trust the first-year passer against a defense allowing the fifth-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks. Luton has had one good and one bad game in his two starts, including completing just 51.43 percent of his passes against Green Bay last time out. He's a low-end QB2 play at best.

  • D.J. Chark Jr. Should See Plenty Of Week 11 Work

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver D.J. Chark Jr. has seen 17 targets across the two games that he's played with Jake Luton at quarterback, though 12 of those came in the first contest. With the Steelers waiting on Sunday, Jacksonville will likely be forced to take to the air often, and while the results of that with Luton under center might not be great, Chark will get his chance to produce solid WR3 fantasy numbers. He's had some let-down games this year, but things seem to be looking up with Luton.

  • James Robinson Has More Risk Than Usual In Week 11

Jacksonville Jaguars running back James Robinson has been one of the most consistent backs in football this year and is currently in the midst of a strong run of three games in which he's averaged 23.3 attempts for 109 yards and 0.7 touchdowns. His role has been bolstered by the Jags playing three close games in a row. But now, they face the undefeated Steelers in a game where things could get out of hand, leading to a negative game script for Robinson. You should still play him as an RB2 in season-long leagues, but have to acknowledge that there's a lot more risk than there usually would be.

  • C.J. Henderson Lands On Injured Reserve

Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback C.J. Henderson (groin) was placed on Injured Reserve on Thursday, a significant loss to the team's secondary. After not practicing Thursday, Jacksonville quickly made the move to shift Henderson to the IR. In his place, expect D.J. Hayden, who is coming off of the IR in his own right, to see a larger role, but Henderson's loss all but makes rostering the Jaguars Defense uesless. The No. 9 overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft has been a stalwart of the secondary, racking up 36 tackles, six passes defended, one interception and one forced fumble. With the Steelers traveling to Jacksonville on Sunday without Henderson available, there's little reason to roster the Jaguars defense.

  • Jaguars Defense Gets D.J. Hayden Back For Week 11

Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback D.J. Hayden (hamstring) will be activated off of Injured Reserve to take the field for Sunday's game versus Pittsburgh. Hayden has started just one of the four games that he has appeared in this season for the Jaguars, having accrued 13 total tackles and one pass defensed in that span. Even with Hayden back in the secondary, the Jaguars Defense will be an extremely difficult fantasy unit to rely on with their matchup against the Steelers in Week 11. Rostered in less than one percent of ESPN season-long leagues, Jacksonville's defense will undoubtedly get a boost from adding Hayden back to the mix, but they'll need to string multiple dominant performances together in order to garner fantasy intrigue moving forward.

  • Jake Luton To Start Sunday, Gardner Minshew Out Again

Jacksonville Jaguars rookie quarterback Jake Luton will make his third start in Week 11 against the undefeated Steelers while Gardner Minshew II (thumb) resumes throwing. Luton went 18-for-35 for 169 yards, one touchdown and one interception in the Week 10 loss to the Packers. Jacksonville isn't putting too much on the 24-year-old's plate and is using him like a game manager with Minshew sidelined. Minshew won't be guaranteed the starting job back when he's healthy, but Luton hasn't really stood out so far in his first two NFL starts. Pittsburgh boasts one of the most fearsome defenses in the league, so we don't expect Luton to put up impressive numbers this weekend. He'll be a desperation QB2 in superflex leagues.

  • Laviska Shenault Jr. To Return To Practice This Week

Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone said that rookie wide receiver Laviska Shenault Jr. (hamstring) will return to practice this week, but the team will "wait and see" if he's ready to play in Week 11 against the undefeated Steelers. Shenault missed the team's Week 10 loss to the Packers. Fantasy managers will want to keep a watchful eye on the rookie's practice participation throughout the week. The 22-year-old scored in his first career game in Week 1 but has tailed off of late, catching just seven passes on 11 targets in his last three games. Shenault won't be all that attractive as a WR4/flex if he returns this weekend either, especially with rookie quarterback Jake Luton making another start. Shenault's return would also mean potentially fewer looks for D.J. Chark Jr. and Keelan Cole.

Nov 16 · Source via Jaguars Laviska Shenault
  • Chris Thompson Going On Injured Reserve

Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone said that running back Chris Thompson (back) will be put on Injured Reserve. It means that Thompson will have to miss at least the next three games after suffering a back injury in the Week 10 loss to the Packers. Rookie James Robinson remains the featured back in this offense, but there will now be opportunity for either Devine Ozigbo or Dare Ogunbowale to handle third-down pass-catching duties with Thompson sidelined. Through eight games this year, Thompson only had seven carries for 20 yards and 20 receptions for 146 yards and one touchdown. He was merely an RB3/4 in deep PPR leagues. Take a wait-and-see approach in those same leagues with Ozigbo and Ogunbowale for the time being.

  • Keelan Cole Sr. Has Productive Outing

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Keelan Cole Sr. had five catches for 47 yards during the loss to the Packers on Sunday. He also had two touchdowns on the day, with one resulting from a 91-yard punt return in the second quarter. The 27-year-old had a productive day after disappearing over his previous two outings. Although fantasy managers shouldn't expect this type of performance consistently, he should still have a role in deeper formats for those looking to fill a void.

  • D.J. Chark Takes A Back Seat In Week 10

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver D.J. Chark finished with four catches (five targets) for 56 yards in the loss to the Packers on Sunday. After the 24-year-old had his best performance of the year last weekend against the Texans, where he finished with seven receptions for 146 yards and a touchdown, he took a back seat to Keelan Cole Sr., who had two scores on the afternoon. Although Chark should remain the No. 1 wideout for the team for the remainder of the season, his inconsistent play--at times--should be a cause for concern for the fantasy managers who were hoping for more.

  • James Robinson Gets Plenty Of Work In Week 10

Jacksonville Jaguars running back James Robinson ran for 109 yards off 23 attempts during the loss to Green Bay on Sunday. He also had two catches for three yards. The 22-year-old has played well most of the year but has picked things up over the last three weeks, racking up 70 carries for 327 yards and two scores during that span. With the team looking his way more often than usual to take some pressure off rookie signal-caller Jake Luton, expect Robinson to get some extra work until Gardner Minshew II (thumb) returns.

Nov 15 · Source via Jaguars James Robinson
  • Jake Luton Has An Acceptable Outing On Sunday

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Jake Luton went for 169 yards and a touchdown (one interception) on 18-for-25 passing during the narrow loss to the Packers in Week 10. The rookie, who filled in once again for the injured Gardner Minshew II (thumb), had a respectable outing on Sunday against one of the best teams in the league. With two touchdowns, two picks, and nearly 500 yards passing throughout his first two games as a professional, Luton is expected to retain his fantasy value moving forward in deeper, multi-quarterback formats until Minshew can return to his role as the starting signal-caller.

  • Chris Thompson Questionable To Return In Week 10

Jacksonville Jaguars running back Chris Thompson exited Sunday's game against the Packers to be evaluated for a concussion. He was cleared to return, but is apparently still questionable to come back due to a back injury. Injuries have been the story of Thompson's career. If he doesn't return, expect to see more of James Robinson, who has already been seeing almost-full workloads each week.

Nov 15 · Source via Jaguars Chris Thompson
  • James Robinson In Line For Strong Week 10

Jacksonville Jaguars running back James Robinson should be in all the fantasy lineups in Week 10 against the Green Bay Packers. The Pack are allowing the second-most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs and Robinson has been a real bellcow back for this team lately, with over 20 carries and a touchdown in each of the team's last two games. While his lack of involvement in the passing game in Week 9 introduces some slight concern, Robinson should be deployed as a low-end RB1 play in a game where he'll likely be leaned on significantly in the first half.

Nov 14 · Source via Jaguars James Robinson
  • Jake Luton Should Probably Not Be On The Fantasy Radar

It's tough to know what to read into Jacksonville Jaguars rookie quarterback Jake Luton's first NFL start. His second pass of the game was a long touchdown, but it was also his only touchdown pass of the day, and he also threw an interception. With the Packers on deck Sunday and currently ranking sixth in the NFL in fewest fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks, it's probably a good idea to steer away from Luton as anything but a contrarian tournament play in DFS.

Nov 14 · Source via Jaguars Jake Luton
  • D.J. Chark Jr. Off Week 10 Injury Report

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver D.J. Chark Jr. (illness) is off the injury report and should be a full go on Sunday against the Green Bay Packers. With rookie quarterback Jake Luton under center, Jacksonville moved the ball well in Week 9 against Houston. That might be a tougher task against the Packers, but Chark seems poised to be Luton's top option after a game in which he was targeted 12 times, catching seven passes for 146 yards and a score. He's a high-end WR3 play with upside.

Nov 14 · Source via Jaguars DJ Chark
  • Josh Jones Questionable For Jaguars Defense

Jacksonville Jaguars safety Josh Jones (chest) and offensive lineman Brandon Linder (back) are both questionable for Week 10 against the Packers. Jones is a weekly starting consideration at the defensive back position in IDP leagues, so you'll have to check back Sunday morning for his official game status. The 26-year-old ranks seventh among all defensive backs in the NFL with 42 total tackles through just eight games and also has recorded 19 assisted tackles. Jacksonville is already facing a tough matchup against quarterback Aaron Rodgers and elite receiver Davante Adams, so not having Jones in the secondary would be a huge loss. Avoid the Jaguars Defense as a fantasy unit.

  • Laviska Shenault Jr. Ruled Out Against Green Bay

Jacksonville Jaguars rookie wide receiver Laviska Shenault Jr. (hamstring) has been officially ruled out for Week 10 against the Packers. Shenault got in limited practices earlier this week, but fantasy managers won't have him available this weekend. The 22-year-old from Colorado caught a touchdown in his first NFL game in Week 1 and had some useful performances early in the season, but he's slowed down of late, hauling in just seven receptions for 53 yards in his last three games. He was shaping up as a risky WR4/flex in deeper leagues this weekend with rookie quarterback Jake Luton making his second career start. Shenault's absence will mean more targets for D.J. Chark Jr. and Keelan Cole, with Chris Conley also seeing more playing time in three-wide sets.
