  • Cleveland Adds Joe Jackson To COVID-19 List

Cleveland Browns defensive end Joe Jackson landed on the COVID-19 list on Tuesday, thereby putting his status for Sunday's game against Jacksonville in question. Players do not have to test positive for the virus to be placed on the list. Jackson has been a lightly utilized defensive end for the Browns Defense this season, not having taken the field since Week 4. Even without Defensive Player of the Year candidate Myles Garrett last week, Cleveland turned in one of its best defensive outings of 2020, which bodes well for the group's upside against a Jaguars offense that failed to score a touchdown last week. Jackson's inclusion on the COVID-19 list does not appear to be affecting the status of Sunday's game at this stage. Cleveland's D has taken a slight hit with Garrett out and Denzel Ward hurt, but they're still worth starting this weekend in an excellent matchup.

  • Denzel Ward To Miss A Few Weeks

Cleveland Browns cornerback Denzel Ward (calf) is expected to miss a few weeks with a calf strain, according to sources. It's a tough break for the Browns secondary and defense overall, but the good news is that they're facing the lowly Jaguars in Week 12. The loss of Ward for multiple weeks is a blow to this defense and should knock them down slightly in the weekly rankings, but they are still worth using in 10-team leagues as a starting fantasy unit this weekend against Jacksonville. The 23-year-old was a Pro Bowler in his rookie season in 2018 after being taken fourth overall in the draft, and he has 38 tackles (32 solo), two interceptions, a league-leading 15 passes defensed and one forced fumble in 10 games this season.

  • Myles Garrett Won't Play In Week 12

Cleveland Browns pass-rusher Myles Garrett will miss the Week 12 game against the Jaguars after going on the COVID-19 list, according to head coach Kevin Stefanski. Garrett was put on the COVID-19 list several days ago and also missed the Week 11 win over the Eagles. He'll now be hoping to return for a Week 13 matchup with the Titans on Dec. 6. Despite missing the game against the Eagles this past Sunday, Garrett remains No. 1 among defensive lineman in fantasy points. The 24-year-old has 31 combined tackles, seven tackles for loss, 14 QB hits, a league-high four forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and a league-high 9.5 sacks in nine games. Cleveland's defense will miss him again this week, but they are still a prime fantasy unit while facing Jacksonville.

  • Browns Defense Comes Up Big In Week 11

The Cleveland Browns Defense played extremely well in a 22-17 win over the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 11. Cleveland's defense notched five sacks, a safety, and forced three turnovers in the win over a Philly offense that struggled for much of the afternoon. Fantasy managers who started Cleveland's defense were also treated to a defensive touchdown when Sione Takitaki returned an interception 50 yards for a score in the second quarter. Olivier Vernon led the way with three sacks in a game where star defender Myles Garrett did not play. Cleveland's defense will be a strong option again in Week 12 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

  • Austin Hooper Catches Three Passes In Week 11

Cleveland Browns tight end Austin Hooper caught three of five targets for 33 yards in a 22-17 win over the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 11. It could have been a bigger game for Hooper but Baker Mayfield threw too high for him while he was wide open in the end zone. It has been a slow fantasy season for Hooper in his first year with the Browns. Cleveland's offense simply doesn't throw often enough to support Hooper, who did most of his damage in 2019 thanks to high volume in the Atlanta Falcons offense. Hooper will be a high-end TE2 in Week 12 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

  • Jarvis Landry Catches Just Two Passes In Week 11

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry caught both of his targets for 23 yards in a 22-17 win over the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 11. It goes down as another slow outing for Landry, who has caught just nine passes over his past three games. Cleveland's offense has been extremely run-heavy this season, which has cut into the fantasy production of the entire passing game. Landry will be hard to trust, even as a flex option, going forward. He will face the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 12.

  • Kareem Hunt Finds End Zone Vs. Eagles

Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt carried the ball 13 times for 11 yards and a touchdown in a 22-17 win over the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 11. Hunt also added a 10-yard reception in the win. The veteran running back was stuffed by Philly's run defense for most of the day but was able to salvage his outing with a five-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter. Hunt continues to split work with Nick Chubb but the Cleveland offense is so run-heavy that it can support two running backs in fantasy. He will be a quality start against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 12.

  • Nick Chubb Rushes For 114 Yards In Win

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb carried the ball 20 times for 114 yards in a 22-17 win over the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 11. Chubb turned in a slow first half but ripped off an impressive 54-yard rush in after halftime, getting the Browns down to the Philadelphia seven-yard line. He then watched from the sidelines as Kareem Hunt punched in the touchdown two plays later. While Chubb's usage in the passing game has been minimal, he remains one of the best pure runners in the league. He will be a quality fantasy option in Week 12 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

  • Baker Mayfield Throws For 204 Scoreless Yards

Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield turned in another slow performance on the football field in Week 11. Mayfield completed 12 of 22 passes for 204 yards and added nine yards on six rushes in the 22-17 win over the Philadelphia Eagles. The outing marked the third straight game where Mayfield failed to throw a touchdown pass. Cleveland's run game continues to dominate, meaning Mayfield is only being asked to be a game-manager in Kevin Stefanski's offense. This has limited his turnovers but also caps his upside in fantasy. Mayfield will not be a recommended option in Week 12, despite a plus matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

  • Cody Parkey Gets Activated Ahead Of Week 11 Contest

Cleveland Browns kicker Cody Parkey (COVID-19 list) had been in danger of missing Sunday's contest versus the Eagles after having been placed on the COVID-19/reserve list earlier in the week, but he placed back on the active roster Saturday. (Offensive tackle Jack Conklin was also added off of the same list.) Parkey ranks as one of the lowest-rostered kickers in the league, despite having missed just one extra point and one field goal all season. Cleveland's desire to not kick long field goals has undoubtedly factored into that, as Parkey has not attempted a field goal from 50 yards or longer all year. With rain expected Sunday, fantasy managers can leave Parkey on the waiver wire for the time being for more consistent options on high-octane offenses.

  • Myles Garrett Misses Practice Thursday, Hopeful To Play Sunday

Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett (illness) missed practice both Wednesday and Thursday, throwing his availability for Sunday's game against Philadelphia into flux. But the organization expects Garrett to return in at least a limited capacity on Friday, which would begin to trend him in the right direction for taking the field. The Browns Defense -- and Garrett in particular -- is in a prime spot Sunday, facing an offense that allows the most sacks per game (3.9), while also being heavily turnover prone. Garrett is narrowing in on Defensive Player of the Year honors if he can keep up his elite level of production down the stretch, with his presence only fortifying the Cleveland defense as a must-start in any season-long format for the time being.

  • Browns Defense A Top-Five Option In Week 11

The Cleveland Browns Defense draws an excellent matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 11. Philadelphia's offense has struggled this season, allowing 3.9 sacks per game, the most in the league. The Eagles have also had a hard time taking care of the ball, committing 17 turnovers, the third-most in the NFL. Cleveland's defense has been opportunistic this season, ranking near or at the top of the league in takeaways. Fantasy gamers can treat them as a top-five fantasy defense for Week 11.

  • Austin Hooper A Low-End TE1 In Week 11

Cleveland Browns tight end Austin Hooper caught just one pass in a Week 10 win over the Houston Texans, partially thanks to the team playing through extremely windy conditions. Hooper has an excellent chance at bouncing back in Week 11 against a Philadelphia Eagles Defense that has struggled to contain tight ends in 2020. The Eagles are allowing the sixth-most fantasy points per game to the tight end position this season. Hooper settles in as a low-end TE1 in fantasy for Week 11.

Nov 18 · Source via Browns Austin Hooper
  • Jarvis Landry A Flex Option In Week 11

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry is coming off a slow outing against the Houston Texans in Week 10. With Cleveland playing through extremely windy conditions, Landry finished with just three catches in the win. He should be more productive in Week 11 against the Philadelphia Eagles, although a run-heavy Cleveland offense has been limiting the upside of all of the Cleveland pass-catchers. Landry will take on a Philadelphia secondary that is allowing the 13th-fewest fantasy points per game on the year. Fantasy gamers can treat Landry as a low-upside flex option for Week 11.

  • Kareem Hunt A Low-End RB1 In Week 11

Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt showed last week that the return of Nick Chubb would not cut into his workload on the football field. Hunt finished Week 10's win with 22 touches and topped 100 yards for the first time all season. The veteran running back will take on the Philadelphia Eagles at home in Week 11 and should be back in fantasy gamers' lineups for that contest. Hunt can be treated as a low-end RB1 in fantasy on Sunday.

Nov 18 · Source via Browns Kareem Hunt
  • Nick Chubb An RB1 Against Eagles

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb showed that he is fully over his knee injury, rushing for 126 yards and a score last week against the Houston Texans. Chubb will be back in the RB1 conversation in Week 11 against the Philadelphia Eagles. Philadelphia's run defense has been middling this season, ranking 13th in DVOA on the year. Chubb should be prominently involved in the run-heavy Cleveland offense, giving him a good chance to finish as an RB1 in fantasy in Week 11. Fantasy managers can start him with confidence this weekend.

Nov 18 · Source via Browns Nick Chubb
  • Baker Mayfield A QB2 In Week 11

Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield draws an encouraging matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles at home in Week 11. Philadelphia's pass defense has struggled this season, ranking 21st in DVOA. Whether Mayfield is able to take advantage of this plus matchup is another story, however. Mayfield has not thrown a touchdown since tossing five scores back in Week 7 against the Cincinnati Bengals, spanning two games. Cleveland has deployed a run-heavy approach on offense this season, which has capped Mayfield's upside in fantasy. Treat him as a low-end QB2 in fantasy this weekend.

  • Cody Parkey, Jack Conklin Placed On COVID-19 List

The Cleveland Browns are placing kicker Cody Parkey, offensive tackle Jack Conklin and long snapper Charley Hughlett on the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Wednesday. All three players were deemed as high-risk close contacts, so their status for Week 11 against the Eagles is to be determined. The Browns have kicker Matthew McCrane on their practice squad if Parkey is forced to miss this weekend's game, but fantasy managers will be better off avoiding Cleveland's kicking situation entirely. Parkey currently ranks 27th in football at his position in overall fantasy points in his eight games played.

  • Andy Janovich Going On COVID-19 List

The Cleveland Browns are placing fullback Andy Janovich on the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Monday, according to a source. The Browns shut down their facility on Monday after a player tested positive for COVID-19, so we're assuming that Janovich was that player. There's still a chance that he could be cleared from the league's protocols in time to play in Week 11 against the Eagles, but it's not guaranteed. In nine games in his first season in Cleveland, Janovich has just two carries for four yards and has caught two of his three targets for 13 yards in the passing game. He's mainly been a lead blocker for both running backs Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt and has no fantasy appeal. Be on the lookout for any high-risk close contacts that Cleveland may have this week.

  • Browns Defense Holds Houston To Seven Points

The Cleveland Browns Defense played well in a 10-7 win over the Houston Texans in Week 10. Aided by extremely windy conditions in Cleveland, the Browns didn't allow Houston to score until there was 4:59 left in the fourth quarter. They also managed to stuff Deshaun Watson on fourth and two on their own two-yard line early in the second quarter, taking him down for a two-yard loss to keep Houston off of the scoreboard. Cleveland wound up notching two sacks on the afternoon, led by Sheldon Richardson with one sack. The Browns will be back in action against the Philadelphia Eagles at home in Week 11.

  • Austin Hooper Catches Just One Ball

Cleveland Browns tight end Austin Hooper caught one of two targets for 11 yards in a 10-7 win over the Houston Texans in Week 10. Hooper and the entire passing offense was stifled by extremely windy conditions in Cleveland throughout the afternoon, with the Browns only attempting 20 passes compared to 41 rushes. Hooper's only reception converted a first down for the Browns on second and seven during the second quarter. Better days are ahead for Hooper but he will remain a low-upside TE2 for fantasy purposes while stuck in a run-first Cleveland offense. He will face the Philadelphia Eagles next week.

  • Jarvis Landry Goes For 29 Yards In Week 10 Win

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry caught three of five targets for 28 yards in a 10-7 win over the Houston Texans in Week 10. Stifled by extremely windy weather conditions in Cleveland for the second straight contest, Landry finished second in receiving with the Browns only completing 12 passes. Landry has been mostly quiet this season but he should bounce back in a plus matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 11. Treat him as a mid-range flex for that game.

Nov 15 · Source via Browns Jarvis Landry
  • Kareem Hunt Tops 100 Yards In Week 10 Win

Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt carried 19 times for 104 yards and added three receptions for 28 yards in a 10-7 win over the Houston Texans in Week 10. The Browns leaned heavily on Hunt and Nick Chubb on an extremely windy day in Cleveland, and Hunt was certainly up for the challenge, ripping off several rugged runs and breaking tackles all afternoon. Hunt and the Browns also showed that he can remain a productive back in fantasy, even with Chubb back in the fold after a several week absence. Hunt will be a quality fantasy option in Week 11 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

  • Nick Chubb Tops 100 Yards, Scores In Return

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb carried the ball 19 times for 126 yards and a touchdown in a 10-7 win over the Houston Texans in Week 10. Making his first appearance since injuring his knee in Week 4, Chubb looked like his normal, explosive self in the win. It could have been a two-score afternoon for Chubb, who purposely stepped out of bounds at the Houston one-yard line at the end of a 59-yard run instead of crossing the goal line to allow Cleveland to take a knee twice at the end of the game to run out the clock. Chubb will be back in the conversation as an RB1 in fantasy for Week 11's game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

  • Baker Mayfield Throws For 132 Yards In Win

Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield completed 12 of 20 passes for 132 yards in a 10-7 win over the Houston Texans in Week 10. Mayfield's modest numbers can be partially attributed to an extremely windy day in Cleveland with weather bad enough that kickoff was delayed over 30 minutes thanks to a storm. Mayfield has now turned in two straight slow outings for fantasy managers, although his previous outing was also affected by poor weather conditions. Regardless of poor weather or not, Mayfield simply isn't getting the job done for fantasy. He is a low-upside QB2 for fantasy purposes going forward, although he does draw a plus matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 11.

  • Nick Chubb Active For Week 10

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb (MCL sprain) is active for Sunday's meeting with the Texans. Houston possesses one of the NFL's worst run defenses and Chubb should get ample opportunities to provide high-end RB2 value on what's expected to be a windy day in Cleveland. While Kareem Hunt's presence hurts Chubb's value, this matchup is just too good to keep him out of fantasy lineups.

Nov 15 · Source via Browns Nick Chubb
  • Nick Chubb To Get Heavy Workload In Return

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb is expected to receive a heavy workload in his return to the field in Week 10 against the Texans, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Chubb missed the last four games with an MCL sprain, though it seems like he'll slide right back in as the Browns' bellcow against the Texans' poor run defense. The conditions couldn't be more suited to the running game, as rain and wind are expected to be factors on the field in Cleveland. Kareem Hunt will operate as the number-two back, a role that actually granted him more efficiency in terms of fantasy production. Perhaps the biggest boost will come with the return of guard Wyatt Teller, who has been one of the best lane-pavers in the league. Chubb is a solid RB1, with Hunt looking like an upside RB2.

  • Nick Chubb Will Play In Week 10

The Cleveland Browns are activating running back Nick Chubb (knee) from the Injured Reserve and he will play in Week 10's game against the Houston Texans. Chubb has been on IR since injuring his knee during Week 4's win over the Dallas Cowboys. The return of Chubb will be a big boost for a Cleveland offense that wants to feature him as a centerpiece. Chubb's return will push running backKareem Hunt back to his regular role as the team's main pass-catching running back. Both running backs have RB1 upside, especially this weekend where the weather in Cleveland projects to be very windy. Fantasy managers who have been holding onto Chubb can safely get him back into those starting lineups.

  • Browns Placing Chris Hubbard On COVID-19 List

The Cleveland Browns are placing offensive lineman Chris Hubbard on the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Friday. The Browns shut down their facility on Friday out of an abundance of caution due to Hubbard's positive coronavirus test, but thankfully he did not have any high-risk close contacts. That's excellent news if you own any of the team's fantasy skill players on offense that you planned to start this weekend against the Texans. The game should go on as scheduled this Sunday. Running back Nick Chubb (knee) has been practicing this week and is hopeful of making his return after being out since Week 4. He's a must-start RB1 if he's active.

  • Browns Close Facility Friday After Positive COVID-19 Test

The Cleveland Browns have closed their practice facility on Friday after the organization was informed that one of its players tested positive for COVID-19. The individual who tested positive has yet to be identified but he has reportedly been self-isolated following the positive test. The Browns are scheduled to host the Houston Texans on Sunday. There's been no indication as of yet that the status of that game is in jeopardy, but make sure to stay tuned for further updates.

  • Browns Defense A Quality Option In Week 10

The Cleveland Browns Defense returns to action against the Houston Texans this week after a bye in Week 9. The Texans offense has been explosive at times this season but they have also struggled to protect quarterback Deshaun Watson. Watson has been sacked at least twice in all but one game this season. Cleveland's defense has also been very opportunistic this year, ranking at or near the league lead in forced turnovers. They may struggle to limit points scored in Week 10 but Cleveland's defense can still be trusted as a top-12 fantasy defense vs. the Texans.

Nov 12 · Source via Browns Cleveland Browns
  • Austin Hooper A TE1 In Week 10

Cleveland Browns tight end Austin Hooper is primed to return to action after missing two games due to an emergency appendectomy. Hooper will take on the Houston Texans in a plus matchup in his return in Week 10. Houston's defense is allowing the 10th-most fantasy points per game to the tight end position this season. Hooper had been trending up in fantasy before the injury and should be the clear-cut No. 2 option in the Cleveland passing attack now that Odell Beckham is out for the year. Fantasy gamers can treat Hooper as a solid TE1 for Week 10.

Nov 12 · Source via Browns Austin Hooper
  • Jarvis Landry A WR2 Vs. Houston

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry had his bye week come at a great time as he has been playing through a rib injury for much of the season. Landry draws a great Week 10 matchup against a Houston Texans Defense that is allowing the seventh-most fantasy points per game to the wide receiver position. With Landry now operating as the team's No. 1 wideout thanks to the Odell Beckham knee injury, fantasy gamers can start him with confidence in Week 10. Treat Landry as a solid WR2 on Sunday.

Nov 12 · Source via Browns Jarvis Landry
  • Kareem Hunt A Solid Option In Week 10

Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt could return to sharing the backfield in Week 10, depending on whether Nick Chubb (knee) is ready to return to action this week. Chubb did practice on Wednesday and is trending towards being active on Sunday against the Houston Texans. That being said, Hunt remains a solid fantasy option this weekend. Chubb could be in store for a lighter than normal workload in his first game back from injury. Hunt will also remain heavily involved in the passing game in a contest that should be high-scoring. Fantasy gamers can starter Hunt as a quality RB2 this week.

Nov 12 · Source via Browns Kareem Hunt
  • Nick Chubb Unsure If He'll Play Against Texans

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb (knee) returned to practice this week after missing the last four games with an MCL sprain suffered in the Week 4 win against the Cowboys, but he's unsure if he'll be able to return to action in Week 10 against the Texans. "There is still a lot more to it than me just feeling good. I have to go through doctors, team athletic trainers and coaches. It is more than just me saying I feel great," Chubb said. Cleveland remains hopeful that Chubb can suit up, but he's questionable for now. Head coach Kevin Stefanski said a call will be made on Friday as to whether the 24-year-old will play. If he's active, he'll be a shaky fantasy running back at risk of seeing a lightened workload in his first game back. Kareem Hunt's upside will drop with Chubb's return, but he should still be, at worst, an RB3/flex in PPR leagues.

  • Baker Mayfield Activated From COVID-19 List

The Cleveland Browns officially activated quarterback Baker Mayfield from the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Wednesday. Mayfield was put on the COVID-19 list on Saturday after he came in close contact with a staff member who had tested positive for the virus. His stint on the COVID-19 list came at a good time with the team on their bye week, otherwise he would've had to miss a game last weekend. The 25-year-old will practice with the team this week and will be good to go for Week 10 against the Texans, where he will be a borderline QB1 against a very beatable Houston secondary. The Texans Defense has allowed the 10th-most fantasy points per game to opposing signal-callers, including 18 total passing touchdowns.
