  • Tarik Cohen's Season Is Officially Over

Chicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy confirmed that running back Tarik Cohen (knee) tore his ACL in the Week 3 win over the Falcons, and he'll be placed on Injured Reserve for the rest of the season. It's a tough loss for the Bears, as Cohen was a nice pass-catching option out of the backfield and was difficult to bring down in space. The 25-year-old finishes the 2020 season with 14 carries for 74 yards and six catches for 41 yards in three games. Ryan Nall will have a bigger role as the backup to David Montgomery, but wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson might see more touches out of the backfield in a hybrid role in Nagy's offense. Patterson probably won't be worth a waiver-wire addition in the majority of leagues, but he's worth watching.

  • Nick Foles Named Starter Heading Into Week 4

Chicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy announced on Monday that quarterback Nick Foles is now their starting quarterback after relieving Mitchell Trubisky in Week 3 and leading an improbable comeback over the Falcons. Foles pulled another rabbit out of his hat by going 16-for-29 for 188 yards, three touchdowns and an interception against Atlanta, and the Bears will stick with him after that performance. Foles will be a popular waiver-wire addition for fantasy managers in need of QB help this week, and Chicago's pass-catchers should benefit from the move to the former Super Bowl MVP. Foles will be more of a QB2 in superflex leagues in Week 4 against the Colts.

  • David Montgomery Totals Only 50 Yards Against Falcons

Chicago Bears running back David Montgomery carried the ball 14 times for 45 yards and added two catches for nine yards in the Bears comeback win over the Falcons in Week 3. It was a tale of two halves for Bears and Montgomery, with the latter producing only seven rushing yards on his first 10 carries. But once the Bears switched to Nick Foles at quarterback, the offense came alive. Montgomery was able to provide some excellent runs of 10+ yards to move the chains and give the Bears a chance. With the injury to teammate Tarik Cohen looking like it could be season-ending, Montgomery's usage rate is likely to increase heading into Week 4 against the Colts.

  • Anthony Miller Catches Another Game-Winning Touchdown

Chicago Bears wide receiver Anthony Miller caught two passes for 41 yards in the Bears thrilling 30-26 win over the Falcons in Week 3. After failing to register a catch in Week 2, Miller once again made some plays when it mattered most. He almost had two touchdowns on the day but the first was reversed after Miller failed to secure the catch. After quarterback Mitchell Trubisky was benched, backup Nick Foles led the team down the field for score after score, culminating with Miller's 28-yard catch for the game-winning touchdown. Miller's fantasy value is as volatile as it gets but it will improve if the Bears name Foles the starter for Week 4.

  • Jimmy Graham Catches Two Touchdowns In Bears Win

Chicago Bears tight end Jimmy Graham caught six passes for 60 yards and two touchdowns in the Bears 30-26 win over the Falcons in Week 3. The Bears offense sputtered early and turned to backup Nick Foles at quarterback in the second half. This move led to a furious Bears comeback and Graham was front-and-center. The veteran tight end caught his first touchdown from Mitchell Trubisky, then made some excellent grabs in the second half with Foles that culminated in a three-yard catch for his second score of the day. Graham may not be putting up elite stats but now has three touchdown catches in his first three games in a Bears uniform.

  • Allen Robinson II Delivers Monster Week 4 Performance

Chicago Bears wide receiver Allen Robinson II caught a team-high 10 passes for 123 yards and one touchdown in the Bears 30-26 comeback win over the Falcons in Week 3. Robinson caught passes in all shapes and sizes but none more important than a 37-yard catch-and-run to the house to bring the Bears within striking distance in the fourth quarter. After two quiet games, Robinson showed why many considered him a WR1 in fantasy heading into the season. The Bears switching gears and moving to quarterback Nick Foles in the second half helped and Robinson was a major benefactor. If Foles is under center once again in Week 4, it will stabilize Robinson's fantasy value as a fringe WR1.

  • Tarik Cohen May Have Torn ACL

Chicago Bears running Tarik Cohen may have suffered a torn ACL against the Falcons in Week 3, per ESPN's Adam Shefter. Cohen was returning a punt when a Falcons defender collapsed onto his right leg. The speedster was helped off the field hopping and was carted to the locker room. Cohen recently signed a three-year extension with the team and was a contributor in Week 3 before the injury. The elusive back rushed for a solid 17-yard game in the first quarter and caught a screen pass for a 20-yard gain. The news is not official, but Cohen's season could be over.

  • Nick Foles Steps In, Delivers Furious Comeback Win

Chicago Bears quarterback Nick Foles completed 16-of-29 passes for 188 yards, three touchdowns and one interception in the Bears thrilling 30-26 comeback win over the Falcons. The Bears trailed 26-10 midway through the third quarter when head coach Matt Nagy pulled the plug on Mitchell Trubisky and went to Foles. The veteran passer came off the bench to torch the Falcons and leading the Bears to 20 fourth-quarter points for the victory. Foles almost had five touchdown passes but two were reversed after review, one of them leading to his lone interception in the game. Nagy was tight-lipped about the Bears quarterback situation moving forward but it will be hard to justify not sticking with Foles heading into Week 4.

  • Mitchell Trubisky Benched In Bears Wild Win

Chicago Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky was benched for Nick Foles in the Bears wild 30-26 win over the Falcons in Week 3. Trubisky was sharp on the first two drives but inaccuracy passing the ball down the field plagued him. With the Bears down 26-10, Trubisky made an awful throw to Jimmy Graham that was intercepted. Head coach Matt Nagy pulled the plug on the very next drive and Trubisky watched as Nick Foles led a furious comeback to send the Bears to a 3-0 record. In the land of fantasy, the fourth-year quarterback posted a decent fantasy line in the first half, thanks to a 45-yard run and one touchdown pass at the end of the first half. But it will be hard to justify starting Trubisky over Foles heading into the team's Week 4 matchup against the Colts.

  • Tarik Cohen Helped Off The Field In The Fourth Quarter

Chicago Bears running back Tarik Cohen (leg) was helped off the field in the fourth quarter of the team's Week 3 game against the Atlanta Falcons. He injured his right leg and wasn't able to put pressure on it as he left the game. Cohen had two carries for 21 yards and caught three of his six targets for 20 yards before the injury. He might be a long shot to return due to the limited time remaining in the game. David Montgomery and Cordarrelle Patterson should see additional opportunities if Cohen remains out.

  • Jimmy Graham Tough To Trust Against Atlanta

Chicago Bears tight end Jimmy Graham will try and up his production in Week 3 against the Falcons. Graham caught only one pass for 18 yards last week after securing his first touchdown of the season in Week 1. The veteran will go up against a Falcons Defense that has allowed a touchdown to a tight end in each of their first two games and currently are allowing the fifth most fantasy points to the position. Graham can be a weapon in head coach Matt Nagy's scheme but his lack of targets is sinking his fantasy value.

  • Tarik Cohen Will Be Boom-Or-Bust In Week 3

Chicago Bears running back Tarik Cohen is still looking for a huge play heading into the team's matchup with the Falcons in Week 3. Cohen has only 12 carries on the season and 27 receiving yards through two games, but will have a favorable tilt against the Falcons. Atlanta is allowing 39 points a game to opponents through the first two weeks and have surrendered four total touchdowns already to opposing running backs. Cohen can break a game open at any time but is fighting for carries with starter David Montgomery and Cordarrelle Patterson. Cohen will be no more than a boom-or-bust flex option heading into this weekend's action.

  • David Montgomery A Solid RB2 Choice Against Falcons

Chicago Bears running back David Montgomery will look to build off a strong Week 2 performance this Sunday against the Falcons in Atlanta. Montgomery delivered 127 all-purpose yards and one touchdown in the Bears win against the Giants and now will face a Falcons Defense that allowing an average of 39 points a game. The Bears offense has been inconsistent through two weeks but the key could be funneling the offense through the second-year running back. The Falcons have already allowed four total touchdowns to opposing running backs, making Montgomery a solid RB2 in Week 3 with a ceiling to post top-10 numbers among his position group.

Sep 23 · Source via Bears David Montgomery
  • Anthony Miller A Volatile Fantasy Choice In Week 3

Chicago Bears wide receiver Anthony Miller will have a chance to bounce back from his catchless performance in Week 2 against the Falcons this week. After posting 76 receiving yards and a game-winning touchdown in Week 1, Miller was shut out against the Giants. He will now go against a Falcons Defense that is allowing the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing pass-catchers through two weeks. Atlanta has already allowed four different receivers to post 90 or more yards against them, setting up an opportunity for Miller to get back in the box score. While the matchup lines up favorably, Miller is a highly volatile fantasy option for Week 3.

  • Allen Robinson Has Excellent Matchup Against Falcons

Chicago Bears wide receiver Allen Robinson is off to a slow start this season but has a fantastic matchup against the Falcons in Week 3. Robinson has posted only 107 yards through the first two games but the Falcons secondary has been getting torched. Atlanta's defense is currently allowing the fourth most fantasy points to opposing receivers and have already allowed four opponents to post 90-plus receiving yards against them. Robinson's fantasy value, however, is tied to the inconsistent arm of quarterback Mitchell Trubisky, making him a promising, but volatile, WR1/2 in Week 3.

Sep 23 · Source via Bears Allen Robinson
  • Mitchell Trubisky Gets Another Favorable Matchup

Chicago Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky is off to an inconsistent start through the first two games. He has completed only 59.7% of his passes but has five touchdowns through his first six quarters of play. He will have a chance to improve upon those numbers against a Falcons Defense in Week 3 that currently is allowing the most fantasy points to opposing passers. It's early but Atlanta is allowing an astounding 386 passing yards a game, including three rushing touchdowns and five passing touchdowns. Trubisky is averaging only 216 passing yards this season but that is a number he should easily eclipse in Week 3. Trubisky has a shot at posting top-15 fantasy numbers among quarterbacks and should be a solid QB2 against the Falcons.

  • Jimmy Graham Tallies One Reception In Win

Chicago Bears tight end Jimmy Graham caught only one pass for 18 yards in the Bears 17-17-13 win over the Giants. The veteran made a nice grab on an out-route for an early first down in the first quarter. But after that, Graham disappeared from the game plan and the Bears offense struggled in the second half. Graham is not the type of player to attract a ton of targets and will be no more than a touchdown-dependent fantasy option heading into Week 3.

  • Darnell Mooney Catches First NFL Touchdown

Chicago Bears wide receiver Darnell Mooney caught three passes for 36 yards, including a 15-yard touchdown, in the Bears slim victory over the Giants 17-13. The rookie made a nice play in the end zone, coming back to the ball on a scramble play from quarterback Mitchell Trubisky that led to his first NFL score. Mooney has not put up fantasy-viable stats through the first two weeks but has made some plays through two games. If he can continue to produce, he could become worth monitoring on the waiver wire in the weeks ahead.

  • Anthony Miller Fails To Catch A Pass In Week 2

Chicago Bears wide receiver Anthony Miller was held without a catch in the Bears 17-13 win over the Giants. Miller was targeted three times but failed to make some plays with his limited opportunities. The Bears offense was cruising in the first half but ship wrecked in the second. Miller's fantasy value is tied to the inconsistent play of quarterback Mitch Trubisky, making the third-year receiver hard to trust moving forward in fantasy.

  • Allen Robinson Quiet In Week 2

Chicago Bears wide receiver Allen Robinson caught three passes for 33 yards in the Bears 17-13 win over the Giants in Week 2. It wasn't for a lack of trying as Robinson led the team with nine targets but struggled to connect with an inconsistent Mitch Trubisky. Robinson remains the number one wide receiver in an offense that has plenty of work to do heading into the team's matchup next week against the Falcons.

  • David Montgomery Come Up Huge Against Giants

Chicago Bears running back David Montgomery carried the ball 16 times for 82 yards and added 45 receiving yards and one touchdown catch in the Bears 17-13 win over the Giants. The talented runner got the Bears on the board with some nifty moves en route to a 28-yard receiving scamper for a score. Montgomery then left the game in the first half after landing awkwardly on his neck but returned to deliver some big-time second half runs. On a crucial drive in the fourth quarter, the Bears leaned on the second-year running back as he picked up first down after first down. Montgomery will return to solid RB2 status next week against the Falcons.

  • Mitchell Trubisky Up Then Down In Win

Chicago Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky completed 18-of-28 passes for 190 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in the Bears nail-biting 17-13 win over the Giants. Trubisky could do little wrong in the first half, passing for 159 yards and two scores. His best play of the half came on a play where the fourth-year quarterback bought some time and then found rookie receiver Darnell Mooney in the end zone for a 15-yard touchdown. But Trubisky really struggled in the second half, opting to stretch the field with 50/50 passes that yielded little success. This is the second game in a row that featured Trubisky flashing competence mixed with frustrating play. He will, however, continue to have intriguing value next week against a Falcons Defense that has allowed 78 points through the first two weeks.

  • David Montgomery Returns Against Giants

Chicago Bears running back David Montgomery (neck) has returned to the Week 2 contest against the Giants. This is good news, primarily since Montgomery has dealt with a groin injury as well over the last few weeks. Nonetheless, fantasy managers will want to monitor his status leading up to the Bears Week 3 matchup against Atlanta.

  • David Montgomery Injures Neck

Chicago Bears running back David Montgomery (neck) is questionable to return against the Giants. The 23-year-old was hurt attempting to hurdle a player during the second quarter. While Montgomery's designation indicates that there is a chance for him to resume playing, he may be trending more toward out with an injury of this nature.

  • David Montgomery Injured Against Giants

Chicago Bears running back David Montgomery suffered an undisclosed injury during Sunday's matchup against the Giants. The 23-year-old was hurt halfway through the second quarter after attempting to hurdle a player and needed assistance heading back to the sidelines. His status to return is uncertain. In the meantime, Tarik Cohen will likely handle most of the work out of the backfield.

  • Ted Ginn Jr., Riley Ridley Healthy Week 2 Scratches

Chicago Bears wide receivers Ted Ginn Jr. and Riley Ridley are healthy scratches in Week 2. The big news here is Ginn, as he played 43 percent of the team's Week 1 snaps. Ginn wasn't a factor in that game and Bears should turn to Anthony Miller more in this one, whose snap rate should take a huge leap. Miller's an interesting option now, while Ginn can be dropped in redraft leagues this week unless some news emerges to suggest he was injured, because being a healthy scratch on this offense is really, really bad news.

  • Bears Want To Extend Allen Robinson II

Chicago Bears wide receiver Allen Robinson and the team are now focused on coming to an agreement for a contract extension. Other teams began to inquire about Robinson's availability after rumors swirled of him wanting out of Chicago, though the team rebuffed trade interest for their star wideout. Now, the two sides are focused on hammering out the details of a new contract extension and the hope is that it will get done soon. Robinson, who placed third in the NFL with 154 targets in 2019, can now seemingly focus on football with juicy matchups coming up against the Giants and Falcons. He should be viewed as a strong WR1 for these contests.

  • Robert Quinn Likely To Take The Field Sunday

Chicago Bears defensive end Robert Quinn (ankle) is expected to make his debut on Sunday against the New York Giants. Quinn arrived in Chicago this offseason as a big-time free agent to bookend Khalil Mack on Chicago's defensive line, though the ankle kept him from playing Week 1. If the 30-year-old plays, he and Mack could make life very difficult for Giants quarterback Daniel Jones and his offensive line. The Bears Defense is certainly in play as a fantasy option for Week 2.

  • Tarik Cohen Agrees To Three-Year Extension

Chicago Bears running back Tarik Cohen agreed to a three-year contract extension worth $17.25 million, including $9.53 million in guaranteed money. Cohen had an excellent year in 2018, exceeding 400 rushing and receiving yards, though he fell back down to earth in 2019. He has the versatility to be an excellent player for both his team and fantasy managers, so this extension is good news on those fronts. Cohen should continue to be an active part of the Chicago offense moving forward.

  • Tarik Cohen Working On Extension With Bears

Chicago Bears running back Tarik Cohen is working on a contract extension with the team. The talks have progressed well and the two sides were pushing to get the deal done in advance of Week 2, though it may have to wait until after Chicago's game against the Giants on Sunday. The dynamic halfback has averaged 4.2 yards per carry on 257 career attempts and has exceeded 300 receiving yards in each of his three seasons in the league. The Bears are clearly viewing him as an important part of their future, which is music to the ears of fantasy managers. Stay tuned for details on any potential contract signing.

  • Khalil Mack, Robert Quinn Questionable For Bears Defense

Chicago Bears linebackers Khalil Mack (knee) and Robert Quinn (ankle) are both questionable to play in Week 2 against the Giants. Mack was also questionable for the season opener against the Lions, but he played and was quiet with just four combined tackles. Quinn missed Week 1 with Chicago after a big season with the Cowboys. The Bears are counting on the combination of Mack and Quinn to be a big pass-rushing force this year, so if they both sit out, it'll be excellent news for Daniel Jones and the Giants passing attack. Chicago's defense/special teams should be considered a midrange starting unit in fantasy, but they'll lose a little luster if one or both of Mack and Quinn are ruled out.

  • Allen Robinson Expects To Remain With Bears This Year

Chicago Bears wide receiver Allen Robinson said he expects to finish out the year with the team, but he didn't clarify whether he or his agent formally requested a trade after being disappointed with the team's long-term contract offers. ESPN's Dan Graziano and The Chicago Tribune both reported that Robinson, who is in the final year of his contract, has requested a trade. His agent, Brandon Parker, has denied the trade request. A-Rob had five catches for 74 yards on nine targets in the Week 1 win over the Lions and led the Bears with 98 receptions for 1,147 yards and seven touchdowns in 2019. The 27-year-old will be facing a Giants secondary that allowed three TDs to Steelers receivers in Week 1, so Robinson will be a strong WR1 this weekend.

  • Jimmy Graham A Touchdown-Dependent Option

Chicago Bears tight end Jimmy Graham will be back on the fantasy radar heading into Week 2 against the Giants. Graham caught only three passes for 25 yards in Week 1 but brought in his first touchdown in a Bears uniform and had a second score expunged after an official review. The veteran will be a touchdown-dependent fantasy option against a Giants Defense that allowed eight receiving touchdowns to tight ends in 2019, tied for third most in the league. New York attempted to revamp their defense in the offseason but already is dealing with injuries to the unit, a group that was beaten regularly by the Steelers in Week 1. Graham's value will be best utilized in DFS leagues and standard scoring formats for Week 2.

  • Anthony Miller Hoping For Consistency Against Giants

Chicago Bears wide receiver Anthony Miller came alive in the fourth quarter of the team's Week 1 comeback win over the Lions and will try and keep it going against the Giants this week. Miller hauled in five passes for 74 yards, including the game-winning touchdown, but fantasy owners have been fooled before by Miller's tantalizing talent. Consistency has become the key to the third-year receiver's success, who has had a tendency of disappearing one game after posting a solid fantasy line the week before. Despite the promising Week 1 returns, Miller needs to remain in 'prove-it' mode from a fantasy perspective. He will have a favorable chance this week against a Giants Defense that was horrible in 2019 and was ripped up repeatedly by the Steelers in Week 1.

Sep 16 · Source via Bears Anthony Miller
  • Tarik Cohen's Value Capped Heading Into Week 2

Chicago Bears running back Tarik Cohen made some solid contributions in Week 1, picking up 41 rushing yards on only seven carries in Week 1. Cohen will face a Giants Defense in Week 2 that allowed 149 rushing yards to the Steelers last week and allowed a 74.7% completion percentage to opposing backs in the passing game in 2019. Cohen has game-breaking talent but will be limited from a fantasy perspective with incumbent starter David Montgomery healthy and getting the bulk of the carries. The Bears also like getting Cordarrelle Patterson into the mix as well, further limiting the ceiling Cohen can reach in fantasy. Cohen may need to ride the bench in Week 2.

Sep 16 · Source via Bears Tarik Cohen
  • David Montgomery A Risky RB2 Option

Chicago Bears running back David Montgomery will go up against a Giants Defense that allowed 141 rushing yards to the Steelers in Week 1. Montgomery came into the opener questionable with a groin injury but looked fairly healthy against Lions while leading the team with 13 carries for 64 yards. The Giants can certainly be beaten on the ground and allowed almost a 75% completion percentage to running backs last season. But Montgomery will have to compete for carries with teammates Tarik Cohen and Cordarrelle Patterson. Montgomery is worth a FLEX play but banking on him to post RB2 numbers will be a risky proposition.

Sep 16 · Source via Bears David Montgomery
  • Mitchell Trubisky Could Deliver Again Against Giants

Chicago Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky will have another favorable matchup against a leaky Giants secondary in Week 2. New York worked hard trying to revamp their defense in the offseason but still were burned by the Steelers for three passing touchdowns in Week 1. Enter Trubisky, who was awful for three quarters against the Lions last week but ripped off three passing scores en route to a comeback victory in the fourth quarter. The Giants Defense was among the worst in 2019, allowing the eighth most fantasy points to opposing passers, including 30 touchdowns passes and a 65.5% completion percentage. Trubisky is not a starting fantasy quarterback in standard leagues but is worth a look in two-quarterback formats and DFS lineups for Week 2.
