  • Terrace Marshall Jr. Limited Thursday

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Terrace Marshall Jr. (shoulder) was a limited participant in practice for the second straight day this week on Thursday. It doesn't seem that Marshall's shoulder injury is serious enough to keep him from facing the Denver Broncos in Week 12 on Sunday, but fantasy managers will want to check back for Friday's final injury report. The 22-year-old has 17 receptions on 31 targets for 320 yards and one touchdown in eight games in his second NFL season, but he'll be a shaky WR4/5 in deeper fantasy leagues if he plays this weekend. The Panthers will have a new starting quarterback (Sam Darnold) for the third time in as many weeks this weekend against a stingy Broncos defense.

  • D'Onta Foreman Not At Practice

Carolina Panthers running back D'Onta Foreman wasn't at practice on Wednesday. It is unclear why he didn't partake in Wednesday's practice. Foreman has played well since the Panthers traded away Christian McCaffrey. He has averaged 18.8 touches for 87.6 scrimmage yards and 14.4 half-point PPR fantasy points per game during that span. Furthermore, the former Texas Longhorn has totaled four rushing touchdowns over the past four weeks. However, if Foreman can't play, Chuba Hubbard would take over as the lead back in Carolina. However, fantasy players shouldn't panic until more information becomes available regarding Foreman.

  • Sam Darnold Named Starting Quarterback

Carolina Panthers quarterback Sam Darnold has been named the starter for the Week 12 matchup against the Denver Broncos. The 25-year-old will be making his first start of the season this weekend. It's uncertain if this is going to be for one week or the rest of the regular season. The team will likely wait and see how Darnold plays before making a final decision. Fellow quarterback PJ Walker (ankle) is still sidelined, so Baker Mayfield is expected to serve as the primary backup on Sunday. Darnold won't be a recommended streaming option against the tough Broncos defense.

  • Eddy Pineiro Connects On Lone Field Goal Attempt

Carolina Panthers kicker Eddy Pineiro converted on his lone field goal attempt in a Week 11 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. The Panthers' offense struggled to move the ball and failed to score a touchdown, so Pineiro was not asked to do much in Sunday's contest. He will remain an unappealing option next week against the Denver Broncos.

  • Panthers Defense Steps Up In Week 11

The Carolina Panthers defense/special teams had a strong showing in Week 11, holding the Baltimore Ravens to just 13 points and adding an interception and three sacks. This marks two consecutive weeks in which the Panthers' defense has kept the team in the game by holding its opponent to fewer than 20 points. The Carolina DST can be considered a mediocre option next week against a struggling Denver Broncos offense.

  • Ian Thomas Has Three Catches In Week 11

Carolina Panthers tight end Ian Thomas finished with three receptions for 24 yards on four targets in a Week 11 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Thomas saw his first target since Week 8 with Baker Mayfield returning to the starting lineup on Sunday. Despite the uptick in Thomas' utilization, the Carolina passing attack has struggled all season and he has been out-snapped by Tommy Tremble in recent weeks, so the veteran should remain on waiver wires in all fantasy formats.

  • D'Onta Foreman Shut Down In Week 11

Carolina Panthers running back D'Onta Foreman finished with just 24 rushing yards on 11 attempts in a 13-3 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. He was unable to haul in his only target. Foreman remained the Panthers' clear RB1 this week but failed to get much going on the ground as the Carolina offense struggled with Baker Mayfield under center. Fantasy managers should keep their expectations in check again next week when Foreman faces the Denver Broncos.

  • Baker Mayfield Has Poor Showing In Week 11

Carolina Panthers quarterback Baker Mayfield completed 21 of 33 pass attempts for 196 yards and two interceptions in a Week 11 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, adding 12 rushing yards on two carries. Mayfield struggled, to say the least, in his first start since Week 5 and did nothing to earn QB1 duties going forward. PJ Walker (ankle) is dealing with a high-ankle sprain and may miss a few more games, but it's becoming increasingly likely that Sam Darnold sees the field at some point this season. If Mayfield retains the starting job next week, he will have to face the stout Denver Broncos defense before a Week 13 bye. He should remain on fantasy waiver wires in most formats.

  • Jeremy Chinn Activated Off Injured Reserve

Carolina Panthers safety Jeremy Chinn (hamstring) has been activated off the injured reserve. The 24-year-old is expected to be active for the first time since Week 4. His return is a huge boost for this defensive unit heading into a tough matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. Before going down, Chinn had 20 tackles, one sack, and two passes defended in four games. The Panthers are hopeful to have both Chinn and defensive back Jaycee Horn (foot) available for this game. Despite that, fantasy managers shouldn't trust the Panthers defense as a streaming option.

  • Jaycee Horn Questionable For Week 11

Carolina Panthers defensive back Jaycee Horn (foot) is listed as questionable for the Week 11 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. The team expects Horn to play in this contest, but will likely wait until closer to game time before making a final decision. The former first round pick is a big part of this secondary, so losing him would be a significant hit. Through eight games, Horn has 28 tackles, five passes defended, and two interceptions this season. Regardless of Horn's status, the Panthers defense won't be a reliable streaming option against Lamar Jackson on Sunday.

  • Panthers Activate S Jeremy Chinn From IR

The Panthers will have Jeremy Chinn back in uniform in Week 11. They activated the veteran safety from injured reserve Saturday. Chinn has missed more than the four-game IR minimum, having last played in Week 4. Playing both safety and linebacker during his two-plus seasons as a pro, Chinn has been one of Carolina’s most […]

  • Panthers DST Not Appealing Against Ravens

The Carolina Panthers defense/special teams has been decent in plus-matchups this season but will face a difficult test in Week 11 against the Baltimore Ravens. Quarterback Lamar Jackson has not thrown an interception since Week 7 and the Ravens are averaging over 26 points per game. Fantasy managers should avoid the Carolina DST in this tough road matchup and find a better streaming option on the waiver wire.

  • Tommy Tremble Not On Fantasy Radar In Week 11

Carolina Panthers tight end Tommy Tremble finished with zero receptions last week and will hope to see more utilization in a Week 11 bout with the Baltimore Ravens. Tremble has scored twice this season but has just one performance with more than two receptions. His lack of target volume should keep him off the fantasy radar and on waiver wires in all formats.

  • Laviska Shenault Jr. Touchdown-Dependent In Week 11

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Laviska Shenault Jr. found the end zone for the second time as a Panther last week and will look to stay involved in a Week 11 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. Shenault played on a season-high 39 percent of snaps in Week 10 but finished with just three receptions for 17 yards, scoring on a 41-yard carry. Although Baltimore is a soft opponent for wideouts, the third-year pro has been dependent on big plays and touchdowns and has not seen enough involvement in the Carolina offense to be considered a fantasy option.

  • Terrace Marshall Jr. Not Yet A Fantasy Starter

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Terrace Marshall Jr. has been operating as the team's WR2 in recent weeks and will look to build chemistry with quarterback Baker Mayfield in a Week 11 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. Marshall's best two career performances came in Weeks 8 and 9 with PJ Walker (ankle) under center as he was not integrated as a full-time player earlier in the season. Sunday will give Marshall a great chance to prove himself with Mayfield as the Ravens have allowed the fifth-most PPR fantasy points per game to wide receivers this year. Fantasy managers should consider stashing Marshall to see what happens, but he cannot yet be trusted in starting lineups.

  • DJ Moore Has A Great Opportunity In Week 11

Carolina Panthers wide receiver DJ Moore briefly enjoyed a resurgence in fantasy production with PJ Walker (ankle) under center, but will again catch passes from Baker Mayfield in a Week 11 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. Although Moore has struggled with Mayfield at the helm this season, he did see 19 total targets in Weeks 4 and 5 before Mayfield went down with a high-ankle sprain. It's also important to note that Christian McCaffrey was still in Carolina and received 21 targets of his own in these two contests. Baltimore has failed to limit opposing wideouts in 2022, so Moore has an excellent opportunity to post his best statistical outing with Mayfield yet. He should be viewed as a low-end WR2 or flex option in fantasy lineups this week.

  • PJ Walker Ruled Out For Week 11

Carolina Panthers quarterback PJ Walker (ankle) has been officially ruled out for Sunday's Week 11 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. This was expected with the 27-year-old dealing with a high-ankle sprain. That being said, Baker Mayfield will serve as the signal-caller for this game. Although, the coaching staff says Sam Darnold is looking better, so he could very well get reps in this game as well. Mayfield came in for Walker during their Week 9 loss and looked sharp during that contest. Despite that, Mayfield should still be considered a low-end QB2 for Week 11.

  • D'Onta Foreman A Low-End RB2 In Tough Week 11 Matchup

Carolina Panthers running back D'Onta Foreman is the fantasy RB7 in half-PPR scoring since Week 7 and will look to stay hot against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 11. Foreman has had the luxury of facing the Atlanta Falcons in two of his last three contests, topping 100 yards and finding the end zone in both. It could be a struggle for him to repeat this success against the Ravens, who are limiting teams to 92 total rushing yards per game. Chuba Hubbard and Raheem Blackshear are likely to mix in, but there is little reason to believe Foreman will not again see the majority of Carolina's running back touches on Sunday. This makes him a volume-based RB2 in starting fantasy lineups this week.

  • Baker Mayfield Not A Fantasy Option In Week 11

With PJ Walker (ankle) ruled out, Carolina Panthers quarterback Baker Mayfield will get the start in a Week 11 bout with the Baltimore Ravens. Walker is dealing with a high ankle sprain, opening the door for Mayfield to retain the starting job should he have a strong showing on Sunday. The Ravens have given up the ninth-most fantasy points per contest to opposing quarterbacks, and Mayfield has thrown 13 touchdowns and nine interceptions in eight career games against them. Although this is a matchup Mayfield could exploit, he has been far too inconsistent to be considered anything more than a desperation QB2 in superflex and two-quarterback leagues.

  • Sam Darnold Could Make A Start This Year

Carolina Panthers quarterback Baker Mayfield will start in Week 11 against the Baltimore Ravens with PJ Walker (ankle) hurt, but some with the team would like to see Sam Darnold at some point this year since he hasn't shown what he can do in offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo's offense yet. Darnold will serve as Mayfield's backup this weekend, but he has yet to play in 2022 after starting the year on Injured Reserve due to a high-ankle sprain. The Panthers already benched Mayfield earlier this year for poor play, so there's a decent chance we'll see Darnold at some point down the stretch. The 25-year-old looked awful in his first year in Carolina, though, so fantasy managers in deep two-QB leagues shouldn't be expecting much if he gets in there.

  • PJ Walker Has Ankle Sprain, Baker Mayfield To Start In Week 11

Carolina Panthers quarterback PJ Walker (ankle) has a high-ankle sprain, so Baker Mayfield will get the start in Week 11 against the Baltimore Ravens. Sam Darnold will serve as Mayfield's backup. Walker apparently suffered the ankle sprain in last Thursday's win over the Atlanta Falcons, and he'll miss at least one week and likely more. The Panthers don't have a timetable for his return, but we won't go on Injured Reserve. Mayfield came in to replace an ineffective Walker in Week 9 and went 14-for-20 for 155 yards and two touchdowns in garbage time, but he hasn't started a game since Week 5. The 27-year-old should give the Panthers offense more upside through the air, but he won't be anything more than a low-end QB2 in superflex leagues in Week 11 against an improving Baltimore defense.

  • Donte Jackson Out For Season With Torn Achilles

Carolina Panthers cornerback Donte Jackson (Achilles) will miss the remainder of the 2022 season, the team reported on Friday. Jackson limped off the field late in Thursday night's win over the Atlanta Falcons and underwent an MRI that confirmed he had torn his Achilles. The 2018 second-round NFL Draft pick is a team captain and recorded 35 total tackles along with two interceptions and a defensive touchdown through the first 10 weeks of the year. Third-year pro C.J. Henderson is expected to replace Jackson in the starting lineup going forward.

  • PJ Walker Likely To Remain The Starter For Panthers

After the win on Thursday night against the Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers quarterback PJ Walker will likely remain the starter under center against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 11, according to head coach Steve Wilks. Walker avoided turnovers in the Week 10 win over Atlanta, but that was only because he was fortunate to have the Falcons defense drop a couple of easy interceptions. He finished 10-for-16 for just 108 yards and no touchdowns and ran three times for 14 yards. The ground game, notably running back D'Onta Foreman, carried the offense on Thursday night. Walker didn't really do much to help the team win, and he'll face an improving Ravens defense next week. He'll be a low-end QB2 in superflex leagues as he attempts to hold off Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold for another week.

  • Carolina Defense Solid In Week 10

The Carolina Panthers defense allowed 15 points to the Atlanta Falcons in a Week 10 victory while recording one interception and a season-high five sacks. Many anticipated that this could be a low-scoring affair, but it was the Panthers' defense that stepped up while the Falcons' defense failed to take advantage of the poor weather conditions. The Carolina DST has shown that it can produce in the right matchups, but fantasy managers should look elsewhere when the team travels to Baltimore to face the Ravens in Week 11.

  • Eddy Pineiro Bounces Back In Week 10

Carolina Panthers kicker Eddy Pineiro converted on all four of his field goal attempts and went one-for-two on extra points in a Week 10 victory over the Atlanta Falcons. Missing an extra point is never ideal, but to be fair, weather conditions were poor and Falcons kicker Younghoe Koo whiffed on both of his PATs. Pineiro more than made up for it with successful kicks from 46, 49, 40, and 37 yards out. This was the redemption game Pineiro surely hoped for after failing to deliver against Atlanta just two weeks ago. He will hope to continue this type of output in a Week 11 bout with the Baltimore Ravens.

  • Laviska Shenault Jr. Scores On Ground In Week 10

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Laviska Shenault Jr. hauled in three of his four targets for 17 yards and added 42 yards and a score on two carries in a Week 10 win over the Atlanta Falcons. Shenault's four targets were second-most on the team and his 41-yard scamper in the second quarter was good for the game's first touchdown. His involvement in the offense has been up-and-down all season, so fantasy managers would be wise to leave him on waivers in redraft leagues for now. Shenault's next opportunity will come against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 11.

  • Terrace Marshall Jr. Makes The Most Out Of One Reception

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Terrace Marshall Jr. finished with one reception for 43 yards on two targets in a Week 10 victory over the Atlanta Falcons. Marshall looked great on his one big play of the night, breaking tackles and gaining over 30 yards after the catch. Unfortunately, he was not asked to do much else as PJ Walker only attempted 16 passes while Carolina leaned heavily on the run. If Marshall is still available in your fantasy league, he should be a priority waiver claim this week. A nice matchup against the Baltimore Ravens is on tap for Week 11.

  • DJ Moore Turns Six Targets Into Just 29 Yards In Week 10

Carolina Panthers wide receiver DJ Moore hauled in four of his six targets for 29 yards in a Week 10 victory over the Atlanta Falcons. Moore was evaluated for a head injury and went into the blue tent at one point during the contest, but returned to the field shortly thereafter. This disappointing showing can be blamed on the weather and game script, with PJ Walker only attempting 16 passes as Carolina never trailed in the game. Moore still led the team in both targets and receptions and should fare better in a Week 11 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens.

  • Raheem Blackshear Stays Involved In Week 10

Carolina Panthers running back Raheem Blackshear finished with six carries for 32 yards in a Week 10 victory over the Atlanta Falcons. He was not targeted through the air as quarterback PJ Walker only attempted 16 total passes in the contest. Blackshear out-touched Chuba Hubbard by one rush attempt while D'Onta Foreman handled 31 carries. Hubbard, who had just returned from a two-week absence on Thursday night, will likely be given more opportunities in the coming weeks, making it hard to see a scenario in which Blackshear has fantasy value. He does not need to be rostered in 2022 redraft leagues.

  • Chuba Hubbard Sees Limited Work In Week 10

Carolina Panthers running back Chuba Hubbard handled five carries for 14 yards in a Week 10 win over the Atlanta Falcons. He was not targeted in the receiving game. This was Hubbard's first appearance since suffering an ankle injury in Week 7, so it's very possible that Carolina opted to limit his workload on Thursday night as D'Onta Foreman was fed the ball 31 times. The second-year back should become increasingly involved in the next few weeks, but fantasy managers should wait to see him produce before considering him in starting lineups.

Nov 11 · Source via Panthers Chuba Hubbard
  • D'Onta Foreman Runs For 100 Yards On Falcons Again

Carolina Panthers running back D'Onta Foreman handled a whopping 31 carries for 130 yards and a score in a 25-15 victory over the Atlanta Falcons. For the second time in three weeks, the 26-year-old ran all over the Falcons' defense and now has four total touchdowns in his two contests against them. Chuba Hubbard returned to the lineup on Thursday night but was only given five touches while Raheem Blackshear mixed in for six. Given that this was Hubbard's first game back from an ankle injury, it is certainly possible he becomes more involved in the coming weeks, but Foreman has looked great as the starter. He will continue to be a solid fantasy play next Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens.

  • PJ Walker Throws For 108 Scoreless Yards In Week 10 Win

Carolina Panthers quarterback PJ Walker completed 10 of 16 pass attempts for 108 yards and added 14 yards rushing on three carries in a Week 10 victory over the Atlanta Falcons. Carolina leaned on the run in the midst of poor weather conditions on Thursday night, but Walker looked much better than he did a week ago before being benched for Baker Mayfield. The starting gig should remain Walker's going forward, but he won't be an enticing fantasy option next week against the Baltimore Ravens.
