  • Robby Anderson Manages One Reception Against Dolphins

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson managed one reception for 15 yards on four targets in Sunday's loss to the Dolphins. Though the entire offense was out of sync on Sunday, Anderson has been underwhelming all season. The 28-year-old now has 30 yards or less in seven of the last eight games and hasn't produced well at all. He's off the fantasy radar going forward.

  • D.J. Moore The Lone Bright Spot For Panthers In Week 12

Carolina Panthers wide receiver D.J. Moore recorded four receptions for 103 yards on 10 targets in Sunday's loss to Miami. Moore was the only bright spot for the Panthers on a day in which nothing went right for the team. Sunday once again showcased how dangerous Moore can be on the field as he posted his third 100-yard game of the season. The WR was struggling for a few contests before Week 12 but looked solid on Sunday. He should be in the WR1 conversation most weeks going forward.

  • Christian McCaffrey Struggles Against Dolphins

Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey finished with 10 carries for 35 yards in Sunday's loss to Miami. The RB rolled his ankle in the first half of the contest which led to him playing less afterward. McCaffrey has been dealing with injuries all throughout the season and this has affected his availability for games and production in a couple of contests he has played. Managers should monitor the 25-year-old's status going forward but Carolina luckily doesn't have another game until Week 14, meaning the RB has time to rest and recover.

  • Christian McCaffrey In A Walking Boot

Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey (ankle) rolled his ankle and later appeared in a walking boot. For the past two years, McCaffrey has dealt with several lower-body injuries and this boot is obviously not a good sign. It's still unforeseen as to how long McCaffrey's absence will be (if any at all), but fantasy owners should be concerned. His backup Chuba Hubbard must be picked up in all leagues once waivers run and would be a decent start if McCaffrey misses time. In Dynasty leagues, at this point, McCaffrey appears deserving of the "injury-prone" tag and his value has drastically decreased. If he returns and has a nice game, managers should consider selling high.

  • Cam Newton Benched Against Dolphins

Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton was benched late in Sunday's game against the Dolphins. He was 5-for-21 for 92 yards with two interceptions while adding five rushing yards and a rushing score. P.J. Walker replaced him and also quickly threw a pick. The Panthers quarterback situation is a mess, but we should assume Newton will remain the starter with Sam Darnold (shoulder) likely done for the rest of the season. The Dolphins defense has had a lot of success lately, but this game proves that Newton isn't quite the same player he was when he guided the Panthers to the Super Bowl in 2016.

  • Zane Gonzalez - Week 12 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Carolina Panthers kicker Zane Gonzalez is a streaming option against the Dolphins in Week 12. Gonzalez has been generally reliable this season, going 19-for-21 in field goals and 18-for-19 in extra points. Miami allows the fourth-most points to fantasy kickers, so the 26-year-old is a good streaming option.

  • Panthers Defense A Strong Option Against Dolphins

The Carolina Panthers defense is a top-five option for Week 12 against the Dolphins. This unit has gotten 30 sacks, eight picks, and 14 forced fumbles on the season thus far. While they do allow more points in some games, this unit has generally done a good job against weaker offenses. The Dolphins don't have an explosive offense and Tua Tagovailoa is still a young QB who is prone to mistakes, so there is reason to stream the Panthers defense this week with confidence.

  • Ian Thomas - Week 12 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Carolina Panthers tight end Ian Thomas should be far away from starting lineups in Week 12. The 25-year-old has posted three receptions for 26 yards total in the last three games and that goes to show how little of a role he has in this offense. There are much better TE options to start in fantasy this week.

  • Robby Anderson - Week 12 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson should remain on benches for the Week 12 clash against the Dolphins. The WR has a been a super disappointing fantasy option all season, not having posted more than 40 yards in a game since early October. Despite having a good target share in most games, Anderson cannot seem to take advantage of that. Because of his low production, he shouldn't be trusted even in a matchup with a Dolphins squad that allows the second-most fantasy points to WRs.

  • DJ Moore - Week 12 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Carolina Panthers wide receiver D.J. Moore is a WR2 option in Week 12 against the Dolphins. Moore's production has dipped a bit recently after a hot start to the season. In the last three games, he's posted 50 yards only once. Still, the WR is the top pass-catching option on this team and the target share will be there each week. Miami allows the second-most fantasy points to wideouts, so this could be the week Moore gets back on track.

  • Christian McCaffrey - Week 12 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey is a solid RB1 against Miami. The RB has accumulated at least 52 rushing yards and 54 receiving yards in the last three games and always has a high chance to get over 100 yards of scrimmage in any contest given his large role. Miami is somewhat stingy to fantasy backs, but McCaffrey's rich volume still makes him an elite play.

  • Cam Newton - Week 12 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton is in the QB1 conversation against Miami in Week 12. The QB has been fantastic since returning to his old squad. He has now posted five touchdowns in the last two games, three passing and two rushing. The 32-year-old has proved he still has it in terms of his dual-threat abilities. The Dolphins allow the seventh-most points to fantasy QBs, so Newton is a solid start.

  • Cam Newton's Arm Strength A Concern?

The Carolina Panthers are open to bringing quarterback Cam Newton back next season, but they want to see how the 32-year-old former MVP performs down the stretch with the offense tailored to his strengths. Newton is still learning the nuances of the offense, but many are skeptical that his diminished arm strength will limit what the team can do offensively. He looked good in the Week 11 loss to the Washington Football Team, but a 27-yard touchdown to running back Christian McCaffrey was Newton's only completion over 19 yards. Head coach Matt Rhule insisted it was a case of offensive coordinator Joe Brady choosing not to stretch the field rather than Newton's inability to go deep. There will continue to be questions about whether Newton's arm is strong enough to succeed deep down the field, but for fantasy purposes, his legs alone put him in the QB1 streaming picture, especially this Sunday against the Miami Dolphins.

  • Jaycee Horn Back At Practice

Carolina Panthers first-round rookie cornerback Jaycee Horn (foot) was back at practice on Wednesday in a non-contact red jersey. Horn still has a ways to go before returning from a broken foot, but it's good news for one of the better secondaries in the NFL. Carolina hasn't opened the 21-year-old 21-day practice window to return from Injured Reserve, but that could be coming soon. Horn was starting in his first several NFL games before breaking his foot and should eventually return to a significant role down the stretch. With Donte Jackson, Stephon Gilmore and A.J. Bouye already in the fold, the Panthers have allowed the fewest passing yards per game (174.2) through 11 weeks of the season.

  • Tommy Tremble Finishes With 35 Yards In Week 11

Carolina Panthers tight end Tommy Tremble finished with two receptions for 35 yards on two targets in Sunday's loss to Washington. While this was a season-high in yards for the youngster, the truth is he hasn't been heavily involved in this offense and has only posted 30 yards or more in two contests all season. Tremble and Ian Thomas are both likely competing with each other for targets, which offsets their fantasy values. In addition, Tremble's low weekly production keeps him well off the fantasy radar.

  • Robby Anderson Musters 30 Yards In Week 11

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson recorded five receptions for 30 yards on six targets in Sunday's loss to Washington. Anderson has struggled all season to produce despite seeing a decent target share most of the time. The 28-year-old once again posted a modest total in Week 11 and he hasn't topped 57 yards in a game this season. Given his low production all season, Anderson can safely be avoided in fantasy.

  • D.J. Moore Posts 50 Yards Against Washington

Carolina Panthers wide receiver D.J. Moore finished with five receptions for 50 yards and a score on seven targets in Sunday's loss to Washington. Moore was in a two-game slump prior to Week 11 as he posted no more than 32 yards in both contests. Nevertheless, he performed much better in Week 11 and found the end zone for the first time since early October. Moore is the unquestioned WR1 on the team, so the target share should be there, but production may vary. Still, the 24-year-old has generally produced well all season except for a couple of games. He can be counted on as a WR1.

  • Christian McCaffrey Posts Receiving Touchdown In Week 11

Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey finished with 10 rushes for 59 yards and seven receptions for 60 yards and a score on eight targets in Sunday's loss to Washington. McCaffrey once again stuffed the stat sheet and continues to be a dominant force on this offense. The RB has at least 52 rushing yards and 54 receiving yards in the last three games and he remains in the RB1 tier going forward.

  • Cam Newton Accounts For Three Total Touchdowns

Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton went 21-for-27 for 189 yards and two touchdowns along with rushing 10 times for 46 yards and a score in Sunday's loss to Washington. Cam looked right at home with Carolina in his first start with the team again and displayed his amazing rushing prowess as well. The QB should be the starter going forward and his dual-threat abilities put him in the starting tier in fantasy in upcoming games.

  • Zane Gonzalez - Week 11 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Carolina Panthers kicker Zane Gonzalez is a low-end streaming option against Washington. Gonzalez went a perfect 4-for-4 in field goals last week and is overall 19-for-21 in field goal attempts this season. In addition, he is 15-for-16 in extra-point attempts this season. Washington offers a favorable matchup for fantasy kickers, so the 26-year-old is worth streaming if you need kicking options.

  • Panthers Defense A Low-End Starting Option In Week 11

The Carolina Panthers defense is a low-end starting option against Washington in Week 11. This unit hasn't been elite this season but it has certainly done well against offensive units that struggle. Last week, they only allowed 10 points to a Kyler Murray-less Cardinals team. Taylor Heinicke played well last week, but he isn't an elite QB and is certainly prone to mistakes. In addition, the WFT offense isn't high-powered by any means. This means the Carolina defense is worth streaming if you need the help.

  • Ian Thomas - Week 11 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Carolina Panthers tight end Ian Thomas is best left off starting lineups in Week 11. Thomas has two receptions for 19 yards on five targets in the last three games and his role has been too small and inconsistent this season to merit any sort of fantasy value. There are better TE options to start in Week 11.

Nov 20 · Source via Panthers Ian Thomas
  • Robby Anderson - Week 11 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson is not worth a start in Week 11 against Washington. Anderson has struggled all throughout the 2021 season and has been wildly inconsistent. While his target share in some games hasn't been awful, it's his production that's making him an uninspiring fantasy option. The WR posted 57 yards back in Week 1 and he hasn't topped that total in any game since. Even in a favorable matchup against Washington, Anderson is best left out of starting lineups as he's too hard to trust at this point.

  • DJ Moore - Week 11 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Carolina Panthers wide receiver D.J. Moore is a WR2 option against the Washington Football Team in Week 11. While Moore has seen an amazing seven targets per game minimum this season, he hasn't produced all that well the past couple of weeks, garnering only 32 and 24 yards, respectively. Nevertheless, the WR could post a huge game any week and hopefully the presence of Cam Newton on the offense can bolster his production. Washington allows the second-most fantasy points to WRs, so there is a chance for Moore to break out of his two-game rut.

  • Christian McCaffrey - Week 11 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey is an RB1 option against Washington in Week 11. McCaffrey dealt with a minor setback to his hamstring last week during the game against Arizona, but luckily it seems it hasn't bothered him enough to affect his status for Week 11. The RB looked sharp last week when he was in the game, posting 13 carries for 95 yards and 10 receptions for 66 yards on 10 targets. As the focal point of this offense, McCaffrey will see the volume and he's one of the best plays of the week against a Washington squad that's average against fantasy RBs.

  • Cam Newton - Week 11 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton is a high-end QB2 option against the Washington Football Team. Newton recently made his return to Carolina and though he didn't start the game last week, he chipped in with a passing and rushing touchdown. Now, the QB will get a chance to lead Carolina once again. The WFT allows the most fantasy points to QBs, so there is value in starting Cam as he is in a solid position to produce given his passing and rushing prowess.

  • Cam Newton Will Start In Week 11

Carolina Panthers head coach Matt Rhule said that quarterback Cam Newton will start in Week 11 against the Washington Football Team. "Cam will take the first play," Rhule says. The quote from Rhule makes it sound as though P.J. Walker could still be involved, but even if he is, we'd expect to see a much larger dose of Newton under center this Sunday in his second game back with the team. It was nice to see Newton return and score two touchdowns immediately for Carolina, but Washington's defense has allowed only 97.1 rushing yards per game this year, and fantasy managers shouldn't expect Newton to return to similar production that he had in his prime with the Panthers. However, with a bigger workload, he should at least serve as a solid QB2 streamer in two-QB leagues because of his rushing prowess.

  • Christian McCaffrey Absent From The Injury Report

Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey was not on the team's Week 11 injury report and was able to get in a full practice on Wednesday. Yeah, we had to do a double take, too. It looked like his troublesome hamstring was giving him issues in the Week 10 win over the Arizona Cardinals, but the fact that McCaffrey isn't on the injury report at all is excellent news heading into a Week 11 date with the Washington Football Team. In two games since returning from an extended absence, CMC has 27 carries for 147 yards and 14 catches on 15 targets for 120 yards. Quarterback Cam Newton could take away valuable goal-line touches if he takes over the starting QB job this weekend, but McCaffrey will still be a must-start, high-end RB1.

  • Cam Newton Trending Toward Starting In Week 11

Carolina Panthers head coach Matt Rhule said that it's "trending toward" quarterback Cam Newton starting in Week 11 against the Washington Football Team, but he won't make an official announcement until later in the week. The Panthers will get both Newton and P.J. Walker ready and hasn't ruled out both playing in certain packages on Sunday. Newton made his return to Carolina last weekend and rejuvenated the team in limited playing time, going 3-for-4 passing for eight yards and a touchdown and carrying the ball three times for 14 yards and another score. The former MVP deserves to be picked up in most leagues, if he hasn't been already, and he'll have QB1 streaming appeal if he starts this weekend against a Washington defense that has allowed the most fantasy points per game to QBs all season long.

  • Cam Newton To Handle First-Team Practice Reps

Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton will get the majority of first-team practice reps this week in preparation for the Washington Football Team in Week 11. Newton will be in line for his first start of the season after he was used sparingly in Week 10 against the Arizona Cardinals, where he was able to throw a touchdown pass and run one in himself. In his second stint in Carolina, Newton could offer some QB2 appeal because of his ability to run the ball effectively near the goal-line, giving him a higher floor for fantasy production. The 32-year-old likely has his best days behind him, but he still has the ability to produce stat lines that will be attractive to fantasy managers. Newton could be one of the top waiver pickups this week as some notable quarterbacks have their BYE weeks approaching.
