  • Matt LaFleur Says Packers Want Aaron Rodgers Back

Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur reiterated that the team wants quarterback Aaron Rodgers to return in 2021 and beyond. "We still obviously feel the same way. We want him back in the worst way. I know he knows that. We'll continue to work at it each and every day," LaFleur said. It was reported on draft day last month that Rodgers wanted out of Green Bay, and rumors have been swirling ever since. Green Bay has no plans to trade Rodgers, and several of his ex-teammates believe the situation is fixable. The Packers are apparently pleased with Jordan Love's development despite the fact that he didn't play at all in his rookie year after being a first-round pick. Rodgers, last year's MVP, continues to play at a high level despite nearing the end of his career. Wherever he's playing in 2021, he'll be a highly coveted high-end QB1, that's to be sure.

  • Aaron Rodgers Not Ruling Out A Return To Packers

Former Green Bay Packers fullback John Kuhn, who spent nine years with quarterback Aaron Rodgers, said that the future Hall of Fame signal-caller hasn't ruled out a return to the team. "I still believe there's an opportunity for a resolution here. It's going to take two men that are dug in right now trying to meet in the middle somewhere where they're both happy," Kuhn said. The fullback said that he thinks Rodgers wants to come back to Green Bay, but he doesn't want to be on a lame-duck contract. Basically, he wants the Packers to commit to him long term despite trading up to take Jordan Love in the first round in 2020. Rodgers could win a power struggle with general manager Brian Gutekunst, but there's still a very real chance that he's playing elsewhere in 2021, which will make all of the team's offensive skill players risky in fantasy until we know for sure.

  • Packers Looking To Add Quarterbacks To Their Roster

The Green Bay Packers have started exploring quarterbacks that they can add to their roster for upcoming organized team activities and training camp, according to sources. Last year's first-rounder Jordan Love is currently the only QB on the roster other than Aaron Rodgers, who has told some in the organization that he no longer wants to play for the team. It's unknown if Rodgers will attend voluntary sessions later this month. One source said the Packers search has branched out to include veteran signal-callers. Green Bay didn't draft a quarterback last week, but general manager Brian Gutekunst said they will likely sign at least one undrafted rookie QB. While the uncertainty surrounding Rodgers is playing a part, it's not the sole impetus for the Packers trying to add depth at the position.

  • Aaron Rodgers Not Budging With Packers

Former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre, who knows how current Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers is feeling these days, thinks that Rodgers is unlikely to back down. "Knowing Aaron, and I think I know him fairly well, if he has a grudge, whether it be against the organization or a player or an arch-rival, or family, friends, he ain't budging," Favre said on the "Bolling with Favre" podcast. If Rodgers were to abruptly retire, he'd owe the team around $23 million over the next two years. The Packers traded up in the first round of last year's draft to select Jordan Love, Rodgers' eventual successor, and Rodgers didn't take kindly to that. Rodgers has reportedly mocked general manager Brian Gutekunst in group chats with teammates, referring to him as Jerry Krause, the former Bulls GM who got into it with Michael Jordan. At this point, anything could happen with Rodgers and the Packers. Buckle up.
