  • Diontae Johnson A WR3 In Week 8

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson (toe) is coming off a two-touchdown outing in Week 7 against the Tennessee Titans. Johnson's big day was evidence that he is still the No. 1 wide receiver in Pittsburgh, despite the emergence of rookie Chase Claypool. Johnson is a bit banged up, however, as he missed practice on Wednesday with a toe injury. This is a situation worth monitoring ahead of his Week 8 game against the Baltimore Ravens. If Johnson does play, he faces a tough matchup against the Baltimore secondary. Treat Johnson as a high-end WR3 for Week 8.

  • Diontae Johnson Helped Off The Field In The Fourth Quarter

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson (leg) suffered an injury after a reception late in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans. He was helped off the field after the play and appeared to have hurt his leg. With the play coming late in the game, it might be unlikely that he'll return to the game. Johnson has had a great game with nine catches for 80 yards and two touchdowns.

  • Diontae Johnson A WR3 Against Titans

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson (back) practiced fully on Wednesday and appears to be trending up ahead of his Week 7 matchup with the Tennessee Titans. Johnson left during Week 5 with a back injury and was inactive for Week 6's game against the Cleveland Browns. His ability to practice on Wednesday bodes well for his availability for Sunday's game. If Johnson is able to suit up, his role as the No. 1 receiver could be in question as Chase Claypool has exploded for five touchdowns over the past two games. Fantasy gamers can start Johnson as a WR3 but keep expectations in check until we see how the target distribution shakes out this weekend.

  • Diontae Johnson, David DeCastro Ruled Out

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson (back) and veteran right guard David DeCastro (abdomen) have both been ruled out for Week 6 against the Browns. Rookie Chase Claypool, who broke out with four touchdowns last weekend, should once again have an increased role in the passing game with Johnson out. Rookie Kevin Dotson will start in place of DeCastro against Cleveland. Dotson also started in place of DeCastro in Week 2 following an injury to replacement Stefen Wisniewski in Week 1. Against a Browns secondary allowing the third-most fantasy points to receivers per game, Claypool has immediate WR2 upside as the No. 2 wideout behind JuJu Smith-Schuster in Pittsburgh. The rookie was a top waiver addition heading into Week 6.
