  • Melvin Gordon III Generating Significant Interest

Free agent running back Melvin Gordon III has generated interest from a "wide variety" of teams on the open market, according to Mike Klis of 9News. Cut loose by the Denver Broncos earlier this week, Gordon showed that he was a capable runner in 2022. However, he struggled to protect the football, coughing up five fumbles through 10 games. Although his exact role is dependent on where he signs, Gordon projects as a backup and should be benched in most leagues, if not dropped altogether.

  • Melvin Gordon III Waived By Broncos

Denver Broncos running back Melvin Gordon III has been waived by the team just a day after fumbling for the fifth time this season. This is somewhat of a surprise since newly acquired running back Chase Edmonds suffered an ankle injury in the Broncos' Week 11 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. That said, this will be Latavius Murray's backfield moving forward, with Marlon Mack and Devine Ozigbo likely having somewhat of a role. For now, Gordon's fantasy managers should wait to see if he is claimed off waivers or signed as a free agent before deciding whether or not to drop him from rosters.

  • Melvin Gordon III Still The Best Bet In Broncos Backfield

Denver Broncos running back Melvin Gordon III had a decent fantasy day in the Week 10 loss to the Tennessee Titans, carrying the ball seven times for 24 yards while catching four of a season-high-tying six targets for 46 yards. However, he's seen double-digit carries only once in the last four games and continues to lose valuable touches, especially near the goal line, to Latavius Murray. With Chase Edmonds also in the picture now, Gordon's fantasy floor is dangerously low in a Broncos offense that scores just 14.6 points per game, the lowest in the NFL. The 29-year-old could see more targets again if receiver Jerry Jeudy (ankle) is unable to play, but he's become a volatile touchdown-dependent RB3 for fantasy. Gordon enters Week 11 as the RB41 in half-point PPR scoring.

  • Melvin Gordon III Sees 11 Touches In Week 10

Denver Broncos running back Melvin Gordon III finished the 17-10 Week 10 loss to the Tennessee Titans on Sunday with seven rushing attempts for just 24 yards (3.4 yards per carry) while adding four catches on his six targets for 46 receiving yards. Gordon got the "start" and finished second on the team in targets after receiver Jerry Jeudy (ankle) went down with an injury early in the game. However, he was out-carried nine to seven and out-touched 12 to 11 by backfield mate Latavius Murray. The 29-year-old's receiving work was nice to see, but that will probably only continue if Jeudy misses additional time with his injury. Chase Edmonds (only three touches) could get more involved moving forward, too. In this low-scoring offense, Gordon's low-volume role makes him a volatile touchdown-dependent RB3/flex.
