  • Mike Evans Day-To-Day With Hamstring Injury

Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles said that wide receiver Mike Evans (hamstring) is "day-to-day" with a hamstring injury that he suffered in practice on Friday at training camp. Evans has a history of minor hamstring injuries, but he should be just fine after sitting out potentially a couple days of practice. Barring another setback with his leg in training camp, the 28-year-old will be just fine for the start of the 2022 regular season. Evans is a no-doubt WR1 in fantasy as one of quarterback Tom Brady's top targets, especially in the red zone. The four-time Pro Bowler had 74 catches on 114 targets for 1,035 yards and a career-high 14 touchdowns in 16 regular season games in 2021. Evans has 27 touchdowns in the last two years with Brady and has reached 1,000 yards in all eight of his NFL seasons.

  • Mike Evans Tweaks His Hamstring

Updating a previous report, Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles said that wide receiver Mike Evans (hamstring) tweaked his hamstring in training camp practice on Friday, which is why he left practice early. It was also the same day that Chris Godwin (knee) returned to practice for the first time since undergoing surgery on his torn ACL. Evans has a history of hamstring injuries, and although he might miss some practice time this summer, he should be ready to go for Week 1 of the regular season. Fantasy managers shouldn't be too worried about the clear-cut WR1. The 28-year-old will remain one of quarterback Tom Brady's favorite weapons, especially in the red zone. Evans had 74 catches for 1,035 yards and a career-high 14 touchdowns in 16 regular season games last year.

  • Mike Evans Leaves Practice With Leg Injury

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans (leg) left training camp practice early on Friday with an apparent leg injury. The Tampa Bay Times' Rick Stroud suggests that this could be one of Evans' annual hamstring issues. Check back for updates on the specific nature of Evans' injury, but hopefully it's nothing serious. The Bucs also got good news on Friday, with Chris Godwin (knee) practicing for the first time since having surgery on his torn ACL. Evans is one of quarterback Tom Brady's top targets in the offense, so losing him for any stretch of time would be a big blow. In 16 regular season games in 2021, the four-time Pro Bowler caught 74 of his 114 targets for 1,035 yards and 14 touchdowns. Evans has 27 regular season TDs in his two years working with Brady and has recorded 1,000 yards in all eight of his NFL seasons. He's a no-doubt WR1.
