It isn’t normal to release a new version of fantasy football Draft Buddy this late in the summer. As we know, however, 2020 is far from normal. Draft Buddy version 3.0 is now available with a brand new feature – Sleeper integration.
What is Sleeper? Sleeper is a fantasy football league manager that continues to grow in popularity. The UI (user interface) is crazy-good. Serious props to the coders and designers for their mobile and design skills.
You can use Sleeper for redraft, keeper, or dynasty leagues. The scoring options are practically endless. You can mock draft on Sleeper to practice drafting. Sleeper supports individual defensive players (IDP). It does pretty much everything you would expect from a fantasy league manager except auction drafts, and I’m sure that is on Sleeper’s radar.
Sync Draft Buddy and Sleeper
We want to make things easier for our Draft Buddy members who play at Sleeper. Draft Buddy now includes Sleeper fantasy football integration as of version 3.0.
This works very similar to existing integration with MyFantasyLeague.com and Fantrax, allowing Draft Buddy to sync with fantasy football leagues on those platforms. You can access franchise names, keepers and draft results to import into Draft Buddy.
To use Sleeper integration, go to the sync tab and select Sleeper from the drop-down menu. Then input your Sleeper league ID in Draft Buddy. Visit your league in a web browser and look at the URL. An example is:
For this league, the ID is 525573093652869120. Note, the similarly looking ID for the draft board is different than the league ID. Make sure you are on the league main page to find the league ID. Once input, then try the links to franchise, keepers, and draft results. You can pull draft results using the button on the draft report tab.
If you notice any players that appear as ?? that means they are not currently matched in our player database. Please let me know the unmatched players to help me update our database.
Thanks Sleeper for making the API available for us to sync Draft Buddy with your leagues!
