Keeping up to date on football news and following fantasy football analysts on Twitter, one comes across many (many) articles about this hobby. This is not meant to be a comprehensive list or a best of, but here are a select few I want to share as fantasy football recommended reading.
Is Todd Gurley a Fantasy Season-Killer in 2019?
Gary Davenport, FantraxHQ
First off, credit where credit is due, the first fantasy analyst that I noticed as being adamant to not draft Todd Gurley for the 2019 NFL season is Smitty from SleeperU and his YouTube Fantasy Football Show. That video is from January. That said, this is (mostly) recommended reading and I always love Gary’s articles because he includes a ton of real-world quotes and sources to support his work. The Todd Gurley bust train is definitely building steam. Gary lays out the background information you should know to make your own assessment of the risk-reward whether to draft Gurley or not this season.
TE Targets & What We Know for 2019
Kyle Borgognoni, The Fantasy Footballers
This is the fourth part, but the first I came across, in a series about target market share by position. Kyle looks at the percentage of targets the TE position received for each team last season and over the past five seasons. He draws some notable comparisons between a team having a high or low TE market share versus other positions, depending on their personnel. Read the whole thing because he closes with some positive and negative regression candidates for 2019.
