Stanley Cup playoffs? Baseball season? Yes, those are going strong right now. Thank you Ovie, yes I did, keep the faith, although the comeback is not complete yet. This past weekend also showcased the NFL Draft, a grueling 2-day event (expect a 3-day event in the near future) of seemingly endless name after name of potential impact players. Some are in fact going to be the next big thing. Many are … not. Most everyone looks good on paper though, so all in all, no matter what team you cheer for, today should be an optimistic day for football fans.
And what else does today mark? Call it the official/unofficial kickoff of fantasy football season. Maybe we all have a different trigger as to what constitutes the start of fantasy football each year. Your dynasty league rookie draft. The start of NFL training camps. Some other ideas include signing up for a variety of good, free fantasy football newsletters with news and notes right to your inbox. Footballguys goes daily starting today, I think. Okay, I’d better get to work. Ah, our university student who looks after the kids is sick today, so I guess my first full work day starts tomorrow now.
