Man-Ram won't be sniffing any Major League action for about two months.
With Manny Ramirez getting a 50-game suspension for performance enhancing drug use, the Dodgers find themselves in quite a different situation than they were in a week ago. Without their big bopper in the heart of the Dodger batting order, a lot of things are likely to change.
Look for Rafael Furcal‘s runs scored to drop as well as Orlando Hudson‘s batting average. Matt Kemp and James Loney will likely see fewer RBi opportunities and of course, Manny won’t be putting up any stats for the next two months. Dodger pitchers will also suffer as their run support will likely be lower, so temper your win projections for all in the rotation.
The beneficiary in all this should be Juan Pierre. He can be a cheap source of steals and should post decent numbers as he is trying to showcase his skills for a possible buyer when Manny returns.
