Jeremy Sowers will have a chance to flash his potential in the Cleveland rotation.
Every year, the trade winds begin to blow at the end of July. Major League GM’s are either adding a key piece for the playoff run or are trading a free agent-to-be for a piece of the future. These moves can impact your fantasy team past the obvious.
When Milwaukee added C.C. Sabathia, a few ripples were sent through fantasy leagues. Seth McClung lost his rotation slot to Sabathia, Salomon Torres will probably find himself with a few more save opportunities (assuming Sabathia doesn’t keep finishing every game he starts), and Jeremy Sowers found himself as the lucky winner of Sabathia’s old rotation slot in Cleveland. Just because you are not an owner of one of the players traded, doesn’t mean that you cannot be affected by the goings on. Use these movements to help your fantasy team improve and make a run at your league title.
