  • Dylan Crews Laces Grand Slam Sunday

Washington Nationals outfield prospect Dylan Crews hit a grand slam for Double-A Harrisburg on Sunday. The slam was part of a three-hit day at the plate for the Nats' top prospect (MLB No. 7) that included four RBI, two runs scored, and his first stolen base of the year. The 22-year-old is now 9-for-33 (.273) with two home runs, nine RBI, six runs scored, and a BB:K of 2:10 in 2024. The 2023 No. 2 overall pick may very well see Washington D.C. this season, having a 2024 ETA per MLB.com's Top 100 Prospects list. As such, dynasty managers and even season-long fantasy managers would be wise to keep tabs on Crews, as his offensive scouting grades are impressive. The righty hitter has 60-grade Power, a 60-grade Run tool, and a 70-grade Hit tool.

  • Dylan Crews To Start At Double-A

Washington Nationals outfielder Dylan Crews, the No. 2 overall pick out of LSU last year, will start the 2024 season at Double-A Harrisburg. The 22-year-old top prospect flew up the ranks to reach Harrisburg after he was drafted last year and hit .355 with a 1.068 OPS, three doubles, five homers and 24 RBI in 14 games with Single-A Fredericksburg before getting promoted. However, he hit just .208 with 19 strikeouts in 20 games at Double-A to end the year and went 5-for-32 (.156) with a home run, five RBI and 12 strikeouts in 20 Grapefruit League games this spring. It doesn't change the fact that Crews is one of the most intriguing position-player prospects in the game, and the Nationals won't be afraid to promote him again once he proves to master the Double-A level.

  • Dylan Crews Reassigned To Minors Camp

Washington Nationals outfielder Dylan Crews has been sent to minor league camp on Friday. This was expected as the 22-year-old still has work to do in the minors. Crews was selected second overall by the Nats during the 2023 MLB Draft. He struggled this spring, hitting .161 with one home run and five RBI in 31 at-bats. There's a small chance that Crews will contribute to the big league roster in 2024. The organization will likely give him a full season in the minors before considering him as an option in 2025.

  • Offseason In Review: Washington Nationals

    Headshot for CJ Abrams

The Nationals are entering the third full season of their rebuild, and their lackluster offseason was emblematic of a team more focused on the long-term picture than even feigning an attempt at competing in 2024. Major League Signings Joey Gallo, OF/1B: One year, $5MM Dylan Floro, RHP: One year, $2.25MM Nick Senzel, 3B/OF: One year,…

  • Nationals Invite Dylan Crews To Spring Training

The Washington Nationals announced on Tuesday that they have invited outfield prospect Dylan Crews, among others, to major-league spring training this year. Outfielder James Wood and third baseman Brady House are among some of the team's other interesting prospects that will be invited to camp. Crews was the second overall pick in last year's draft out of LSU, and he was able to slash .292/.377/.467 with five home runs in three different minor-league stops in 35 games in 2023. He was by far the most advanced hitter in last year's draft and could certainly make his big-league debut later in the 2024 season despite posting a .595 OPS in 20 games for Double-A Harrisburg last year. Crews has the ability to get on base often and raw power in his right-handed swing to eventually top 25 home runs at the next level. On top of it, he should be a 20-steal contributor once he becomes a regular for the Nats.
