Orioles Impressed With Jackson Holliday At Spring Camp
Baltimore Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said Tuesday that he has "been so impressed watching" second base/shortstop prospect Jackson Holliday at the start of spring training. Despite being just 19 years old, the O's No. 1 overall pick in 2022 received a non-roster invite to camp. He is several years away from joining the O's, but the fact that they are already giving him the opportunity to participate is exciting for fantasy managers in dynasty leagues. Hyde is planning to insert Holliday into some Grapefruit League action before he is reassigned to Minor League camp. Holliday is not relevant in redraft leagues at this time, but he is one of the top names to keep in mind for keeper and dynasty leagues.

Orioles Invite Jackson Holliday To Camp
Baltimore Orioles shortstop prospect Jackson Holliday has been invited to major-league spring training as a non-roster player. The son of former big-league outfielder Matt Holliday, Jackson was the first overall pick by the O's last year. In 20 games for the team's rookie-level affiliate and Single-A Delmarva, the 19-year-old hit .297/.489/.422 with a .911 OPS, one homer, nine RBI, 14 runs scored and four stolen bases in 90 plate appearances. Holliday isn't going to crack the big-league roster out of spring training, but the Orioles will get a closer look at him this spring. But he should rise quickly through the team's farm system in the next couple of years. Holliday will be joined at major-league camp by other top prospects in Colton Cowser and Jordan Westburg.
