  • Brenton Doyle Has Big Day In Loss

    Headshot for Brenton Doyle

Colorado Rockies outfielder Brenton Doyle recorded four hits in five at-bats in Tuesday's loss versus the division rival Los Angeles Dodgers. Doyle had three singles and had a solo home run. In addition, Doyle had a pair of RBI and runs scored. The 26-year-old has been one of the lone bright spots in what has been a dismal year for the Colorado Rockies. Helping across the board, Doyle has hit .274 with six homers, 21 RBI and 18 stolen bases. Doyle will have the next five games this week with Coors Field at his advantage and should be in all daily lineups through the rest of the week. Even on a bad team, Doyle has found a way to be productive and should be rostered in more formats.

  • Brenton Doyle Back In Rockies Lineup

    Headshot for Brenton Doyle

Colorado Rockies outfielder Brenton Doyle (knee) is starting in center field and is batting leadoff for the Rockies on Monday for the series opener against the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers and left-hander James Paxton. Left-patellar tendonitis kept Doyle out the last two games, but he's feeling better now and is ready to roll to start the new week. The 26-year-old should be returned to starting fantasy lineups against a vulnerable left-hander while batting out of the leadoff spot. Doyle is hitting .268 (64-for-239) with five homers, 19 RBI and 18 stolen bases in his 67 games in 2024 after hitting just .203 with 10 homers and 22 steals in 126 games in his first year in the big leagues in 2023. Doyle has yet to homer against a southpaw this year, but he's gone 14-for-51 (.275) against them and is hitting over .300 in the last two weeks.

  • Brenton Doyle Not Starting On Sunday

    Headshot for Brenton Doyle

Colorado Rockies outfielder Brenton Doyle (knee) is not in the starting lineup for the second consecutive day. Doyle was a late scratch on Saturday due to left patella tendonitis, as per Rockies reporter Patrick Lyons. The 26-year-old is clearly still dealing with some soreness and will sit out once again on Sunday. As a result, Jake Cave will slot in at center field and bat seventh. Doyle has been one of the best base stealers this season with 18 swiped bags through 67 games and has recently begun to move up to the two-hole in the Colorado lineup. Fantasy managers should pay close attention to Doyle's status ahead of Monday's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Cave is worth a look at in DFS as he will face the Pirates in a likely bullpen game at the hitter-friendly Coors Field.

  • Brenton Doyle On Base Four Times Wednesday

    Headshot for Brenton Doyle

Colorado Rockies outfielder Brenton Doyle went 2-for-2 with two walks in Wednesday's 7-4 win over the Guardians. Doyle also scored once, but it could have been an even more productive day had he not been caught stealing once and picked off once. The former fourth-round draft pick's batting average hit a high-water mark of .330 on April 25, but has seen it drop to .271 since then. He's been able to get on base via the walk, however, with 14 walks in his last 16 games, which has afforded him opportunities to steal bases. The speedster has ten stolen bases over the last 17 games after stealing just four over the first 36 games. He's also remained fantasy-relevant due to his ability to score, having crossed the plate 36 times so far this season.

  • Brenton Doyle Bounces Back With Nice Game

    Headshot for Brenton Doyle

Colorado Rockies outfielder Brenton Doyle went 2-for-4 with a double and a homer on Thursday, helping the team pick up a 9-1 win over the San Francisco Giants. Doyle added two runs scored and three RBI to round out his stat line. The 25-year-old got off to a hot start at the dish and was a popular waiver wire add in fantasy, but coming into this game since May 1, he was slashing a dismal .111/.143/.185 with just one extra-base hit. He still has solid season numbers, but he is much less appealing in fantasy outside of deeper leagues, especially since he has moved down in the Rockies lineup.

  • Brenton Doyle Fills The Scoresheet Thursday

    Headshot for Brenton Doyle

Colorado Rockies outfielder Brenton Doyle was all over it on Thursday as part of a 10-9 win over the visiting San Diego Padres. The 25-year-old went 3-for-4 with a walk, an RBI, three runs scored, and two stolen bases on the day, scoring the game-winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning, as well. The massive outing raised his average to a hefty .330 on the season while he has three homers, four stolen bases, 16 runs scored, and an .898 OPS across 25 games and 97 trips to the plate. Doyle flashed signs of a nice power and speed combination with 10 homers, 16 doubles, five triples, and 22 stolen bases across 126 games in his rookie season in 2023 but also hit just .203 and struck out in 35% of his plate appearances. He has just five walks against 28 strikeouts on the season but remains a solid fantasy asset if he continues to provide value in the power and speed departments.

  • Brenton Doyle Back In Monday's Lineup

    Headshot for Brenton Doyle

Colorado Rockies outfielder Brenton Doyle (chest) is back in center field and is batting seventh on Monday against the visiting San Diego Padres and right-hander Dylan Cease. The Rockies held Doyle out as a precaution for the second game of a doubleheader on Sunday against the Seattle Mariners after he suffered a chest injury in Game 1. The 25-year-old has limited fantasy upside while hitting down near the bottom of Colorado's batting order, but that hasn't taken away from his hot start in 2024. The former fourth-rounder in 2019 from Shepherd University his hitting .289 (22-for-76) with three home runs, seven RBI and two stolen bases. Doyle is hitless so far in two career at-bats against Cease.

  • Brenton Doyle Looks To Be OK

    Headshot for Brenton Doyle

Colorado Rockies outfielder Brenton Doyle (chest) looks to be OK after suffering a chest bruise in Game 1 of a doubleheader on Sunday. As a precaution, the Rockies scratched Doyle from the lineup for the second game of Sunday's doubleheader against the Seattle Mariners. The 25-year-old is expected to be fine for the upcoming series against the San Diego Padres, which starts on Monday, so fantasy managers will want to check back later to see if he's back in the lineup. Even if Doyle takes another game off on Monday, he should be able to avoid a stint on the injured list. The former fourth-round pick in 2019 out of Shepherd University has looked good in his second MLB season so far, going 22-for-76 (.289) with three home runs, seven RBI and two stolen bases in 21 games. Get Doyle back into your lineups if he returns on Monday.
