  • Julio Rodriguez "Feels Good," Expected To Return Friday

Seattle Mariners outfielder Julio Rodriguez (wrist) "felt good" Wednesday after hitting in the cage. The Rookie of the Year candidate is expected to be available for Friday's series opener against the Texas Rangers. The 21-year-old experienced soreness on Monday after taking swings in the cage, and the team decided to give him a few extra days off. Barring any setbacks, Rodriguez is expected to return to the lineup on Friday. The star outfielder is slashing .271/.334/.482 with 18 home runs, 57 RBI, 55 runs, and 21 stolen bases in 96 games in 2022.

  • Julio Rodriguez Likely To Return On Friday

Seattle Mariners outfielder Julio Rodriguez (wrist) is likely to return from the injured list on Friday, according to manager Scott Servais. The 21-year-old outfielder is eligible to be activated on Wednesday, but that appears unlikely at this point. It sounds like Rodriguez still has some lingering soreness, so the organization will give him some additional days off to recover. Rodriguez has been a stud with an .816 OPS with 18 home runs and 21 stolen bases this season. He has been sidelined since July 31st, but fantasy managers shouldn't be without Rodriguez for much longer.

  • Julio Rodriguez's Wrist Still Not 100 Percent

Seattle Mariners rookie outfielder Julio Rodriguez's wrist is still "feeling it a little bit on the vibration" when swinging in the batting cages, according to manager Scott Servais. However, the Mariners aren't ruling out a return from the 10-day injured list for Rodriguez on Wednesday, but they want to see how he responds after more swings on Monday. The 21-year-old All-Star is first eligible to come off the injured on Wednesday, but fantasy managers shouldn't be surprised if it doesn't actually happen until later in the week. J-Rod has been a must-start in fantasy in his first year in the majors, as he's hitting .271/.334/.482 with an .816 OPS, 18 home runs, 57 RBI, 55 runs scored and 21 stolen bases in 365 at-bats. Outfield prospect Jarred Kelenic could return to the minors once Rodriguez is activated.

  • Julio Rodriguez Could Return When Eligible

Seattle Mariners rookie outfielder Julio Rodriguez (wrist) could return from the injured list when he's first eligible on Aug. 10. He'll begin swinging a bat this weekend during the team's series against the Los Angeles Angels. It's possible the Mariners hold Rodriguez out until Aug. 12 at the Texas Rangers since they have an off day on Aug. 11. The 21-year-old All-Star is dealing with a bruised right wrist, but he should be back soon for fantasy managers. J-Rod won't need a minor league rehab assignment before returning to the major leagues, according to manager Scott Servais. Rodriguez has been a must-start in his first year in the majors, slashing .271/.334/.482 with an .816 OPS, 18 home runs, 57 RBI, 55 runs scored and 21 stolen bases in 365 at-bats.

  • Julio Rodriguez's Wrist Improving

Seattle Mariners rookie outfielder Julio Rodriguez (wrist) said his right hand/wrist is getting better. He was able to show more range of motion and said he couldn't do that two days ago. Rodriguez hasn't undergone an MRI exam since it was ruled a contusion. Still, the 21-year-old All-Star has yet to resume swinging a bat since he was placed on the injured list, so it remains to be seen if he'll be able to return when he's eligible on Aug. 10. Fantasy managers need to sit tight and keep the young star stashed in an IL spot. When he's on the field, he's been a must-start in all fantasy formats, hitting .271/.334/.482 with an .816 OPS, 18 home runs, 57 RBI, 55 runs scored and 21 stolen bases for the M's in his first 96 major league games.

  • Julio Rodriguez Lands On The 10-Day Injured List

Seattle Mariners outfielder Julio Rodriguez (hand/wrist) has been placed on the 10-day injured list. Rodriguez was hit on the hand by a pitch on Saturday against the Astros, which forced him to exit the contest. He later received X-rays on his hand, which were negative but he's dealing with swelling and won't be able to swing a bat for at least five days, per manager Scott Servais. The good news is that the 21-year-old All-Star didn't break or fracture anything in his hand but the IL designation is a blow to the Mariners and fantasy managers alike. Seattle will play this very cautiously as they'll want to make sure Rodriguez is fully healed before he returns for the stretch run. He's slashing a solid .271/.334/.482 to go along with 18 home runs, 57 RBI, and 21 stolen bases across 365 at-bats. Former top prospect Jarred Kelenic was recalled from Triple-A in a corresponding move.

  • X-Rays Negative On Julio Rodriguez

Seattle Mariners general manager Jerry Dipoto said that X-rays on rookie outfielder Julio Rodriguez's hand were "negative and he's going through ongoing assessments in Houston as we speak." Rodriguez was hit by a pitch on the hand on Saturday against the Houston Astros, but fortunately he didn't break anything in his hand. There's still a good chance he won't be in the lineup for the series finale against the division rivals on Sunday, but it looks like the young star won't have to miss extended time. The 21-year-old Dominican slugger made the All-Star team in his first MLB season and is hitting .271/.334/.482 with an .816 OPS, 18 home runs, 57 RBI, 55 runs scored and 21 stolen bases in his first 96 MLB games. J-Rod can do it all and is a must-start when he's in the lineup.

  • Julio Rodriguez Undergoing X-Rays On Wrist

Seattle Mariners outfielder Julio Rodriguez left Saturday's contest versus the Astros early after he was hit on the wrist by a pitch. The rookie stayed in the game to play defense, but was pulled before his next at-bat and will undergo X-rays on his wrist to find out the severity of the injury. Rodriguez stated that he would speak to the media on Sunday as managers tentatively hold their breath for no severe damage. He will likely sit for Sunday's finale and a trip to the IL shouldn't be ruled out either until we get the imaging results tomorrow.

  • Julio Rodriguez Back In The Leadoff Spot Tuesday

Seattle Mariners outfielder Julio Rodriguez (wrist) is officially back in the leadoff spot for the team's matchup against the Texas Rangers on Tuesday night. Rodriguez sat out each of the team's last four games due to left wrist soreness. All indications over the last 24 hours were that he would be back in action on Tuesday, and now he's officially slated to return -- barring a last minute scratch of course. The 21-year-old phenom had a fantastic first half of the 2022 season, slashing .275/.337/.477 with 16 home runs, 21 stolen bases, 52 RBI and 53 runs.

  • Julio Rodriguez Tentatively In The Lineup For Tuesday

Seattle Mariners manager Scott Servais provided an update on outfielder Julio Rodriguez (wrist) during his interview on the show Seattle Sports on Tuesday. Servais stated that Rodriguez is currently included in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Texas Rangers. However, he added that the team would need to see how he looked in pregame warmups before making things official. Rodriguez has yet to see the field in the second half of the season as he's been hampered by left wrist soreness. The Mariners have a late, 7:10 PM PT start time for their game on Tuesday, so make sure to keep an eye out for the official lineup ahead of the contest.

  • Mariners Optimistic Julio Rodriguez Will Return Tuesday

Seattle Mariners skipper Scott Servais said he's "very, very optimistic" that rookie outfielder Julio Rodriguez (wrist) will return to the starting lineup on Tuesday against the Texas Rangers. Rodriguez is out of the lineup for the fourth straight game with left wrist soreness, but he is going to ramp up his baseball activity before the game on Monday. The 21-year-old Dominican has burst onto the scene in 2022 and is already a must-start in fantasy, and it looks like fantasy managers will be able to get him back into their lineups on Tuesday. J-Rod has hit .275/.337/.477 with an .814 OPS, 16 home runs, 52 RBI, 53 runs scored and 21 stolen bases in 346 at-bats so far in his rookie season. Dylan Moore is starting in center field in his place and is batting eighth on Monday against Rangers right-hander Glenn Otto.

  • Julio Rodriguez To Miss His Fourth Straight Game Monday

Seattle Mariners outfielder Julio Rodriguez (wrist) will remain out for the team's contest against right-hander Glenn Otto and the Texas Rangers on Monday. This will be his fourth consecutive missed games due to left wrist soreness. The rookie received an MRI this weekend that showed no structural damage and he remains day-to-day for now. J.P. Crawford is leading off for the fourth straight game on Monday while Dylan Moore will continue to patrol center field for the team.

  • Julio Rodriguez's MRI Shows No Structural Damage

Seattle Mariners outfielder Julio Rodriguez (wrist) underwent an MRI on his sore left wrist on Saturday. The results of the MRI showed some bruising, but no structural damage. Mariners manager Scott Servais stated that Rodriguez remains day-to-day at this point, but also added that a stint on the injured list could be possible. Rodriguez hasn't appeared in a game since the All-Star game, so the team would be able to backdate a stint on the 10-day injured list to July 22. Stay tuned for further updates on the 21-year-old phenom. If he can avoid the injured list, his next chance to play will be on Monday against the Texas Rangers.

  • Julio Rodriguez Not In The Lineup On Sunday

Seattle Mariners outfielder Julio Rodriguez (wrist) is absent from the lineup in Sunday's series finale against the Houston Astros. The 21-year-old All-Star has now missed all three games against Seattle's division rival as he rests his sore left wrist. J.P. Crawford is once again batting leadoff as the M's look to salvage the series against Framber Valdez as the Astros. Hopefully, J-Rod can return to the lineup on Monday against the Rangers.

  • Julio Rodriguez Remains Out On Saturday

Seattle Mariners outfielder Julio Rodriguez (wrist) is not in the starting lineup on Saturday against the Houston Astros. J-Rod was a late scratch on Friday with left-wrist soreness, an injury that allegedly occurred on a stolen base attempt in the final game of the first half of the season, and will now miss his second straight contest. The Mariners are going to be very cautious with their young All-Star so fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day and monitor his status prior to Sunday's series finale between Seattle and Houston.

  • Julio Rodriguez Day-To-Day With Wrist Soreness

Seattle Mariners outfielder Julio Rodriguez (wrist) has been labeled as day-to-day by the team as he is dealing with left wrist soreness. The rookie sensation reportedly jammed his wrist while attempting a steal last Sunday and he's been experiencing some on-and-off soreness ever since. He was initially included in the starting lineup for Friday night's game, but he didn't feel great after going through batting practice and was scratched shortly before the game began. It sounds like the team was mostly just being cautious with him on Friday. There's a decent chance we'll see the 21-year-old back in action before the end of the weekend. Over 91 games this year, he has slashed .275/.337/.477 with 16 home runs, 21 stolen bases, 52 RBI and 53 runs.

  • Julio Rodriguez Scratched On Friday

Seattle Mariners outfielder Julio Rodriguez (wrist) was a late scratch from Friday's game against the Houston Astros. The 21-year-old has been pulled out of the lineup due to left wrist soreness. Possibly, Rodriguez suffered this injury from participating in the Home Run Derby on Monday. Regardless, it sounds like this is a minor issue for Rodriguez. It shouldn't be something that forces the young outfielder to the injured list. Fantasy managers should consider Rodriguez as day-to-day. In the meantime, Dylan Moore will cover center field for the Mariners on Friday.

  • Julio Rodriguez Serving Suspension In Game 1 Wednesday

Seattle Mariners outfielder Julio Rodriguez will be serving his one-game suspension in Game 1 of the team's doubleheader against the Washington Nationals on Wednesday. He was originally slated to serve the suspension on Tuesday, but Tuesday's game was postponed due to weather. Dylan Moore will be covering center field for the first game of Wednesday's two-game set. Expect to see Rodriguez back out in center field for Game 2. The 21-year-old rookie was recently named to the AL All-Star team and the honor is well-deserved. In his first taste of the majors, he's compiled a .274/.334/.477 slash line to go along with 15 home runs, 21 stolen bases, 44 RBI and 50 runs over 86 games.

  • Julio Rodriguez Hits Two-Run Home Run Monday

Seattle Mariners outfielder Julio Rodriguez continued to build on a strong rookie campaign in Monday's 7-4 win over the Astros. Rodriguez provided some late insurance, going 2-for-5 with a single, a ninth-inning two-run home run, and two strikeouts. The 21-year-old has converted on the hype surrounding him overall to this point, slashing .277/.332/.432 with seven HR, 26 RBI, and 17 stolen bases. He is an exciting young player and should be in fantasy managers' lineups at all times, especially if he can continue to add some power to his profile in addition to the speed.
