    Kansas City Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. went 4-for-5 with two home runs, five RBI and four runs scored during Thursday's 13-3 demolition of the Houston Astros. Witt also picked up his third stolen base during the blowout. It was a banner day for the 23-year-old, who is now slashing a robust .358/.414/.755 with four home runs, eight RBI and 13 runs scored on the season. Witt looks like bonafide superstar to start 2024 and is a must-start option whenever he takes the diamond.

  • Bobby Witt Jr. A Double Shy Of The Cycle On Sunday

    Kansas City Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. went 3-for-5 with a single, triple, homerun, and three runs scored, falling just a double short of the cycle Sunday in the team's 11-0 blowout of the Minnesota Twins. Witt is hitting a scorching .545 (6-for-11) and an even hotter 1.888 OPS through three games in 2024. He will look to continue his hot hitting Monday against Dan Kremer and the Orioles for a three-game set. The 23-year-old is looking hot to start the season and is a must-start in all fantasy leagues and a great DFS option for Monday's main slate.

    Kansas City Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. has been having a tremendous Cactus League this spring. The talented 23-year-old is coming off a strong season that saw him hit .276 with 30 homers, 96 RBI and 49 stolen bases. This spring, he's picked up where he left off and has hit .372 with three homers, eight RBI and a stolen base in 43 at-bats. Witt enters this season as one of the most talented players both in real life and for fantasy purposes with his all-around skills. Still entering the prime of his career, Witt should make managers giddy over all he can do and is absolutely worth snagging as one of the first picks in upcoming drafts.

  • Bobby Witt Jr. Signs Mega Extension With Royals

    The Kansas City Royals and shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. are in agreement on an 11-year, $288.7 million contract extension, the second-largest pre-arbitration extension in MLB history. With three club options attached at the end of the deal, Witt could earn as much as $377.7 million over a 14-year period that would run through the 2037 season. Drafted with the second overall pick of the 2019 MLB Draft, Witt hit .276 with 30 home runs, 49 stolen bases, and an .814 OPS across 158 games in the 2023 season. He also improved his strikeout and walk rates, although he drew free passes just 5.8% of the time a season ago. Witt's elite power and speed combination makes his one of the most attractive fantasy baseball assets heading toward the 2024 season.
