  • Randy Arozarena Retreats To The Bench

Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena is not in the starting lineup on Thursday against the Baltimore Orioles. Arozarena is a must-start fantasy player, but he'll need to be moved to fantasy benches on Thursday. The 27-year-old is hitting .259/.316/.430 with 12 home runs, 47 RBI, 43 runs scored and 20 stolen bases in 363 at-bats so far this season. Since the All-Star break, he's gone 8-for-24 (.333) with two doubles, four RBI and a run scored in six games. Roman Quinn is starting in left field in his place on Thursday and is hitting sixth against Orioles right-hander Jordan Lyles. Quinn will be a low-upside DFS target with his .217/.265/.304 slash line in 46 at-bats for Tampa. He's still searching for his first homer of 2022.

  • Randy Arozarena Homers, Drives In Three

Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena went deep Wednesday, launching his ninth home run of the season. He was 2-for-5 at the plate with the solo shot, a double, three RBI, and two runs scored. He is on the brink of reaching double digits in home runs to go with his 18 steals, a combination which gives him plenty of value despite a mediocre .735 OPS. Arozarena has a .930 OPS over his last seven games, leaving some hope a hot stretch is coming.

  • Randy Arozarena Taking The Day Off

Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena is not in the starting lineup on Friday against the Toronto Blue Jays. It's a normal day of rest for Arozarena, and fantasy managers need to make sure to remove him from their daily lineups. The 27-year-old finished the month of June with a .240/.303/.390 slash line with three home runs, 13 RBI, 12 runs scored and 10 stolen bases in 26 games. Overall, he's hitting .253/.306/.399 with seven home runs, 33 RBI, 33 runs scored and 17 stolen bases in 304 plate appearances. Arozarena's power/speed combination remains intriguing in all fantasy leagues. Brett Phillips will get the start in right field and is hitting ninth on Friday against Jays right-hander Jose Berrios. He'll be a low-upside, deep DFS sleeper.

  • Randy Arozarena Steals Two Bags On Wednesday

Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena continued to be active on the base paths in the team's 5-3 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday. He stole two bases in the game and went 0-for-2 at the plate with a pair of walks and a run scored. Arozarena now has five stolen bases over his last three games and a total of 10 stolen bases over 12 attempts in June. His 17 stolen bases on the year have salvaged his fantasy value as he has an underwhelming .256/.310/.404 slash line on the season. After hitting 20 home runs across 142 games last year, he's only managed seven homers over 72 games this year. His barrel rate is down from 8.2% in 2021 to 6.8% this season.

  • Randy Arozarena Sitting In Series Finale

Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena is not in the starting lineup on Sunday in the series finale against the New York Yankees. Arozarena is getting a day of rest despite heating up at the plate of late. The 27-year-old has gone 13-for-32 (.406 average) with two home runs, seven RBI and a stolen base in eight games since May 20 to raise his season line to .259/.305/.408 with four home runs, 19 RBI, 21 runs scored and four stolen bases in 187 plate appearances. With Arozarena sitting, Manuel Margot is in left field and is batting fifth, while Brett Phillips gets the nod in right field while hitting seventh against Yankees right-hander Luis Severino. Margot has been hot with the bat this year and should garner some DFS appeal.

  • Randy Arozarena Rips Two Dingers Saturday

Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena slugged a pair of home runs on Saturday night as his club defeated the Orioles 6-1. The 27-year-old victimized O's starter Kyle Bradish in the first and then again in the fourth as he finished the evening going 2-for-3 with a walk and three RBI. After not hitting a long ball all year until May 9, Arozarena now has four on the campaign to go along with 19 runs, 15 RBI, six steals, and a .253/.302/.413 slash line through 39 games played. He looks to have put the slow start behind him as managers should expect him to deliver solid power/speed numbers yet again by season's end.

  • Randy Arozarena Looking Better In May

Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena has been among the more disappointing players for fantasy managers to start the season, but there have been some signs of improvement in the month of May. In 17 games since the calendar turned, Arozarena is slashing a decent .274/.313/.468 with two home runs and three steals. He's also been caught stealing three times, which is bad news for fantasy managers in Net Steals formats, however. Arozarena will always be a streaky player with his free-swinging ways, but as long as he's on track for double-digit homers and steals, he'll have a place on fantasy rosters in all formats.
