  • Randy Arozarena Homers, Drives In Four On Saturday

    Headshot for Randy Arozarena

Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena went 2-for-3 with a home run, four RBI, a walk, and an additional run scored in Saturday's 7-2 win over the New York Yankees. Arozarena blasted a three-run shot off Nestor Cortes in the third inning to give the Rays a 4-2 lead. His home run went 385 feet with an exit velocity of 102.5 mph. It was his seventh of the season. He later logged an RBI double, driving in four runs in Saturday's game. The 29-year-old is off to a slow start this season, slashing .154/.253/.329 with seven home runs, 17 RBI, 18 runs, and six stolen bases over 39 games. Arozarena will look to build off Saturday's performance and should remain in fantasy lineups despite the slow start.

  • Randy Arozarena Not Starting Against White Sox

    Headshot for Randy Arozarena

Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena is not in the team's starting lineup on Sunday in the series finale against the Chicago White Sox. Arozarena will get a blow after starting the team's previous nine contests while going just 4-for-34 with 13 strikeouts to drop his season line to a rough .154/.228/.260. The 29-year-old Cuban slugger has added three home runs, nine RBI, four stolen bases and 12 runs scored in his first 104 at-bats in 2024. After the day off, hopefully Arozarena will be able to start picking things up offensively for the Rays and fantasy managers. Harold Ramirez is starting in left field and batting fifth, while Austin Shenton is the designated hitter and is batting sixth against White Sox right-hander Erick Fedde. Ramirez has one hit in two career at-bats against Fedde, while Shenton has never faced Fedde.

  • Randy Arozarena Resting On Thursday

    Headshot for Randy Arozarena

Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena is not in the team's starting lineup on Thursday for the series finale against the visiting Los Angeles Angels. With Arozarena starting on the bench, Harold Ramirez will start in left field for the Rays and will hit cleanup against Angels right-hander Griffin Canning. Arozarena could use a day off, as he's hitting just .174 (12-for-69) with two homers, six RBI, four steals and 19 strikeouts in his first 18 games, and he's currently in a 2-for-23 slump. Hopefully, the day off helps the 29-year-old get right heading into this weekend. Ramirez has gone 18-for-71 (.254) in the early going with a homer, eight RBI and a stolen base. He has never faced Canning in his career but could be a nice producer at a low cost in DFS on Thursday out of the cleanup spot for Tampa.

  • Randy Arozarena Out Of Sunday's Lineup

    Headshot for Randy Arozarena

Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena will ride pine in Sunday's series finale against the Colorado Rockies. The left fielder has struggled at the plate to open the 2024 campaign with a pedestrian .206/.270/.382 stat line with two home runs and two stolen bases. The 29-year-old is out of the starting lineup for the first time this season, as he has only tallied two hits across his previous 22 plate appearances. As a result, Richie Palacios will get the starting nod in left field today and bat fifth, making him a sneaky play in DFS as the Rays have scored 15 runs across the opening two games of the series in Colorado.

  • Offseason In Review: Tampa Bay Rays

    Headshot for Jason Adam

The Rays typically make at least one significant trade that sends out a veteran player to reduce spending and acquire controllable talent. • Randy Arozarena Blasts Two Home Runs On Saturday

    Headshot for Randy Arozarena

Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena went 2-for-2 with two home runs in Saturday's 6-5 spring loss to the Minnesota Twins. Arozarena took Pablo Lopez deep in the first and fourth innings of Saturday's loss. The 29-year-old is looking to produce his fourth straight 20/20 season in 2024. He slashed 254/.364/.425 with 23 home runs, 83 RBI, 95 runs, and 22 stolen bases over 151 games last year. Arozarena has had a modest spring, hitting .200 with three home runs and five RBI over 10 games this spring. With an NFBC ADP of 43, Arozarena should hit 20 homers, steal 20 bags, and score close to 100 runs in 2024, making him a solid pick at his current ADP heading into 2024 fantasy drafts.

  • Randy Arozarena Hits First Homer Of Spring

    Headshot for Randy Arozarena

Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and walk in Tuesdays Grapefruit League matchup versus the Baltimore Orioles. It would be the outfielders first homer of the spring. The 29-year-old has been ice-cold this winter, hitting .100 with a homer and three RBI in 20 at-bats, but managers should have little to no concern with him heading into the regular season. Arozarena is coming off of a well-rounded 2023 campaign with 23 homers, 83 RBI, 22 stolen bases and a .254 batting average. He remains a valuable OF1 in most formats going into Opening Day.
