  • Dustin May Set For Final Rehab Start On Sunday

Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Dustin May (elbow) will make one final rehab start with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Sunday before entering the Dodgers' starting rotation. According to manager Dave Roberts, If that goes well during Sunday's start, he's on track to make his season debut during that home series against the Miami Marlins. The 24-year-old allowed one run on three hits (including a solo home run) and a walk with eight strikeouts on just 68 pitches in his previous rehab start. After undergoing Tommy John surgery in late May last season, he continues to work his way back and could make his 2022 debut soon. May owned a 2.74 ERA, 0.96 WHIP, and 35 strikeouts over 23 innings in 2021.

  • Dustin May Looks Sharp In Tuesday Rehab Start

Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Dustin May (elbow) put forth a strong effort in his rehab start Tuesday with Triple-A Oklahoma City. May pitched 5 innings, allowing one run on three hits (including a solo home run) and a walk with eight strikeouts on just 68 pitches. The 24-year-old is slowly but surely progressing, as he had Tommy John surgery last May. May may need to make at least one more rehab start, but he could be a boost to both the Dodgers' and fantasy managers' rotations when he does return, as he has a career 2.93 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, and 24.2% strikeout rate in 113 2/3 IP.

  • Dustin May To Make Two More Rehab Starts

Los Angeles Dodgers right-hander Dustin May (elbow) will need at least two more minor league rehab starts, according to manager Dave Roberts. May is scheduled to go around four innings in his next outing and then will be stretched out to five innings after that. But after two more rehab starts, May could be reinstated from the 60-day injured list and join the Dodgers starting rotation. The 24-year-old right-hander threw 62 pitches over four innings in his third rehab start for Triple-A Oklahoma City on Wednesday, and the Dodgers are bringing him along slowly after he had Tommy John surgery last May. He could be a big boost to LA's rotation when he returns, especially since Clayton Kershaw (back) is expected to land on the injured list. May struck out a career-high 13.7 hitters per nine innings in five starts last year before his injury, so he certainly has big strikeout upside in fantasy.

  • Dustin May Set For One More Rehab Start

Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Dustin May (elbow) will make at least one more rehab start after Thursday's appearance with Triple-A Oklahoma City. He allowed two hits while striking out six across three innings in Thursday's rehab start. The 24-year-old threw 46 pitches, landing 32 for strikes. He will make at least one more start and is expected to return sometime in August. May continues to work his way back after undergoing Tommy John surgery in late May. The Dodgers right-hander owned a 2.74 ERA, 0.96 WHIP, and 35 strikeouts over 23 innings in 2021.

  • Dustin May Throws 49 Pitches In Rehab Outing

Los Angeles Dodgers right-hander Dustin May (elbow) allowed an earned run on three hits while striking out three and walking three in two innings during his minor league rehab outing for Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday. He averaged 97.1 mph on his sinker and topped out at 99 mph with his fastball in the outing. The 24-year-old's velocity certainly looked good, but he wasn't all that efficient with his control, which led to an elevated pitch count. He has yet to pitch at all this year, so he'll need at least a few more rehab appearances before he'll be an option for the Dodgers starting rotation. However, he should definitely be on the radar to be stashed in fantasy leagues if he's available. May has a 2.93 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and a 24.2% strikeout rate in 113 2/3 major league innings over three seasons with LA.

  • Dustin May To Throw Three Innings Friday

Los Angeles Dodgers right-hander Dustin May (elbow) will throw three innings in a minor league rehab outing for Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday, which is a notable development in his rehab. If all goes well, May will go four innings again his next time out, followed by a five-inning outing. At that point, he could be ready to return to the Dodgers, according to manager Dave Roberts. The 24-year-old they call Gingergaard tossed two innings in the Arizona Complex League last Saturday and is slowly building up his arm strength. Barring any setbacks, he should be an option for the Dodgers rotation and fantasy managers in early August, and his high-strikeout upside makes him a player to pick up if he's available in your league.

  • Dustin May Throws Two Innings In First Rehab Outing

Los Angeles Dodgers right-hander Dustin May (elbow) made his first rehab appearance in the Arizona Complex League on Saturday. He threw two innings and a total of 13 pitches. He retired each of the six batters he faced, recording three strikeouts along the way. May underwent Tommy John surgery in May 2021. If he can continue to progress and avoid any setbacks, he'll be back with the team at some point before the end of the regular season. However, he likely won't be utilized as a starter for the Dodgers this year, meaning there's no need to roster him in standard season-long leagues at this point.

  • Dustin May Throws Bullpen Session Saturday

Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Dustin May (elbow) threw a 40-pitch bullpen session on Saturday. The bullpen was described as an up-down session, meaning May threw some pitches, then sat, then threw more, to simulate a game-like scenario. The 24-year-old is getting closer to a return after undergoing Tommy John surgery in May of 2021,, but still has some obstacles to clear. The next step is to throw against hitters, which will require four outings. After that, he is likely to start a rehab assignment. He is unlikely to be back before August, and even that may be pushing it. Still, May makes for a good IL stash if you have the room, as he has a ton of upside.
