The Dodgers' Rotation Options If Tony Gonsolin Misses Time
The Dodgers were dealt some undesirable news last week when All-Star starter Tony Gonsolin rolled his left ankle during a pitcher-fielding practice session. He was diagnosed with a sprain and unable to put much weight on the leg for a few days. Manager Dave Roberts told reporters yesterday that Gonsolin has again started throwing (via Bill…Mar 16 · MLB Trade Rumors Dodgers Dylan Covey Robbie Erlin Tony Gonsolin Michael Grove Andre Jackson Clayton Kershaw Landon Knack Dustin May Bobby Miller Ryan Pepiot Gavin Stone Noah Syndergaard prospects
Dustin May Will Face Restrictions In 2023
Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said right-hander Dustin May will be under some limitations in his first full season back from Tommy John surgery this year, but the Dodgers haven't exactly decided what that entails. "But I'm excited for him to start the season healthy and not being in that rehab mode," Roberts added. The 25-year-old hard-throwing right-hander returned in 2022 to make six starts, giving up 15 earned runs on 21 hits while walking 14 and striking out 29 in 30 innings pitched for the Blue. To help keep his innings low, the Dodgers will likely skip his turn in the rotation at times, and he could also be moved to the bullpen temporarily. May pitched pretty well, all things considered last year, and his strikeout upside cannot be ignored. 2023 isn't the year to draft his full ceiling.Feb 17 · Source via Dodgers Dustin May
Dustin May Gets $1.675 Million To Avoid Arbitration
The Los Angeles Dodgers and pitcherDustin Mayagreed to a one-year, $1.675 million contract to avoid salary arbitration. His career has been plagued with injuries, but a healthy Dustin May is not a pitcher you want to face in the batter's box. He has made just 11 starts over the past two seasons, but the Dodgers hope to get him healthy for 2023. May made his season debut in August after recovering from Tommy John surgery. In his six starts in 2022, the 25-year-old displayed a 4.50 ERA along with 29 strikeouts and a 4.38 FIP. If May can stay healthy for the bulk of 2023, he will be included in the Dodgers' five-man rotation consisting ofClayton Kershaw,Julio Urias,Tony Gonsolin, andNoah Syndergaard. If everything goes right for the right-hander, he should be a reliable contributor in the fantasy world.Jan 14 · Source via Dodgers Dustin May
