  • Trevor Larnach Absent From Tuesday's Lineup

    Headshot for Trevor Larnach

Minnesota Twins outfielder Trevor Larnach is missing from the starting lineup for Tuesday's matchup with Clayton Kershaw and the Los Angeles Dodgers. The third-year player has been productive over 34 games this year, slashing .233/.341/.414 with five homers, 17 runs, and 26 RBI. However, Larnach is likely part of a platoon, so with the lefty Kershaw on the mound, he'll have a seat. Taking his spot in the lineup is Michael A. Taylor, playing center field and batting seventh. The glove-first player isn't known for his bat and has been terrible versus lefties this season, sporting a .174 batting average. Fantasy managers should probably stay away from the 32-year-old unless they need stolen bases, which Taylor has six of already.

  • Twins Place Max Kepler On 10-Day IL

    Headshot for Max Kepler

The Twins announced they’ve placed outfielder Max Kepler on the 10-day IL with a hamstring strain. In his place, Trevor Larnach has been recalled. It doesn’t sound like an overly serious issue for Kepler, and manager Rocco Baldelli seemed to indicate there’d be a good chance he’d be activated after the minimum number of days…

  • Trevor Larnach Recalled From Triple-A

    Headshot for Trevor Larnach

Minnesota Twins outfielder Trevor Larnach has been recalled from Triple-A St. Paul after Max Kepler (hamstring) was placed on the injured list. Larnach has been white hot in the minors, going 7-for-14 with two home runs and six RBI over the last four games. He'll get another shot to make an impact at the major league level after posting a lackluster .221 batting average and .686 OPS over his first 104 at-bats. He should be left on the waiver wire for now, outside of the deepest leagues, due to playing time uncertainty.

  • Trevor Larnach Starting The Year Off Strong

    Headshot for Trevor Larnach

Minnesota Twins outfielder Trevor Larnach went 1-for-3 with a walk in Tuesday's 1-0 loss to the Miami Marlins. It was another solid showing for the 26-year-old, who's slashing .421/.522/.684 with a home run, four runs, and five RBI over five games. Larnach is a recent former prospect but has yet to put it all together in the big leagues and has dealt with multiple injuries. Across 51 games last season, he hit .231 with a .712 OPS. If Larnach can put together a full season, he has the talent to provide fantasy managers with power and counting stats, as he's been a constant presence in the middle of the Twins lineup.
