  • Ty France Returns To The Lineup

Seattle Mariners first baseman Ty France (wrist) is back at first base and is batting second on Friday against Los Angeles Angels left-hander Patrick Sandoval. France hasn't played since July 30, but he'll return for the weekend series against the Angels, and fantasy managers should return him to their starting lineups. The first-time All-Star has been great for the Mariners in 2022, hitting .308/.380/.477 with an .857 OPS, 13 home runs, 52 RBI and 39 runs scored in 388 plate appearances and 87 games. Although only two of his 13 long balls have come against left-handed pitchers, he's also hitting .313 (25-for-80) with 11 RBI and seven runs scored against them this year.

  • Mariners Hope Ty France Will Return Friday

Seattle Mariners manager Scott Servais decided to give first baseman Ty France (wrist) another day to recover on Wednesday against the New York Yankees, and along with the team's off day on Thursday, the team is hoping that France will be ready to return on Friday against the Los Angeles Angels in the series opener. The first-time All-Star has missed the last four games with a wrist injury, but he was able to play catch on Wednesday and is nearing his return. The 28-year-old has gone 9-for-29 (.310) with two home runs, three RBI and four runs scored in eight games since the All-Star break, and fantasy managers should be ready to reinsert him into their starting lineups for the weekend.

  • Ty France Won't Land On Injured List

Seattle Mariners first baseman Ty France (wrist) won't require a trip to the injured list, according to manager Scott Servais. The 28-year-old slugger was held out of the lineup on Sunday due to a wrist issue. Luckily, the MRI results came back clean, so this isn't something that is going to force France to miss significant time. It wouldn't be surprising to see France miss a game or two. Fantasy managers should consider France day-to-day with a left wrist issue. The hope is that he'll be back in the lineup within the next day or so.

  • Ty France Not In The Lineup On Sunday

Seattle Mariners first baseman Ty France (wrist) is absent from the lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Houston Astros. The 28-year-old tweaked his left wrist on a swing and miss during his final at-bat on Saturday. He's scheduled to get an MRI and told reporters he's unsure if he will head to the IL or not. In any event, he's out of the lineup on Sunday while Carlos Santana takes over at the cold corner. Stay tuned for another update on France's status following the conclusion of Sunday's game

  • Ty France Out With Wrist Injury Wednesday

Seattle Mariners first baseman Ty France (wrist) is not in the starting lineup on Wednesday against the Texas Rangers after tweaking his left wrist swinging in front of an offspeed pitch on Tuesday. The injury isn't related to the elbow sprain that he suffered last month, according to skipper Scott Servais. The injury doesn't sound very serious, so fantasy managers should consider the 28-year-old All-Star to be day-to-day. With France out, Carlos Santana will start at first base and hit cleanup against Rangers right-hander Jon Gray. Santana has nine home runs on the season, but he hasn't done much at the plate otherwise all year. He's slashing .091/.225/.273 with two homers and five RBI in 10 games over the last two weeks.

  • Ty France Homers Friday

Seattle Mariners first baseman Ty France went deep Friday, smacking his 12th homer of the season off Houston Astros starting pitcher Jose Urquidy. It was his only hit in four at-bats with a walk. France now has a five-game hitting streak dating back to before the All-Star break, with three multi-hit performances in that span. He's been among the best hitters in the league with a .307/.376/.476 slash line, 36 runs scored, and 50 RBI in 341 plate appearances.

  • Ty France Added To American League All-Star Team

Seattle Mariners first baseman Ty France has been added to the American League All-Star team roster. He will be taking the roster spot of Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout (back), who will be using the All-Star break to rest his back. This will be the first All-Star game appearance for France, who is in the midst of a strong season. Across 78 games, he's slashed .306/.376/.461 with 10 home runs, 47 RBI and 34 runs. He's maintained a career-low 15.0% strikeout rate across the year and his .366 wOBA ranks in the 91st percentile of the majors.

  • Ty France Activated And Starting Thursday

The Seattle Mariners reinstated first baseman Ty France (elbow) from the 10-day injured list on Thursday and optioned outfielder Marcus Wilson to Triple-A Tacoma in a corresponding move. France will immediately return to the starting lineup as the designated hitter, and he'll bat second against Toronto Blue Jays left-hander Anthony Banda. The 27-year-old is returning from a Grade 2 flexor strain of his left elbow in late June. France is having a career year for the Mariners, and fantasy managers can only hope he can pick up where he left off with the bat. He returns to a .316/.390/.476 slash line with an .867 OPS, 10 home runs, 45 RBI and 32 runs scored in 70 games. Justin Upton and Abraham Toro are likely to see less playing time now that France is back.

  • Ty France Won't Return From Injured List Monday

Seattle Mariners first baseman Ty France (elbow) will not be activated from the 10-day injured list when first eligible on Monday, according to Mariners manager Scott Servais. France suffered a Grade 2 flexor strain on June 23 and he still has some obstacles to clear in his recovery. Servais stated that the hope is that he can return next weekend. The 27-year-old has been fantastic at the plate this year, slashing .316/.390/.476 with 10 home runs, 45 RBI and 32 runs over 70 games.

  • Ty France Heading To Injured List With Flexor Strain

Seattle Mariners first baseman Ty France (forearm) has been diagnosed with a Grade 2 flexor strain in his forearm/elbow area. While he's hopeful that the injury won't cause him to miss a lengthy period of time, he will require a trip to the 10-day injured list. France suffered the injury during Thursday's game against the Oakland Athletics when he collided with A's infielder Sheldon Neuse at first base. France is in the midst of a fantastic season. Over 70 games, he's slashed .316/.390/.476 with 10 home runs, 45 RBI and 32 runs.
