  • Luis Robert Out Again Thursday

Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert (wrist) remains out of the starting lineup on Thursday against the Houston Astros. Robert received a cortisone injection for his sprained left wrist on Wednesday, but the White Sox remain adamant that he won't need a trip to the injured list. However, it remains to be seen if the 25-year-old will be able to return for a weekend series against the Cleveland Guardians that begins on Friday. With Robert out another game, AJ Pollock will man center field and bat leadoff on Thursday against Astros right-hander Luis Garcia. Pollock gains some DFS intrigue out of the leadoff spot, and he's also gone 12-for-42 (.286) with two home runs, four RBI and six runs scored in 12 games in the last 14 days.

  • Luis Robert Receives Injection, Won't Go On Injured List

Chicago White Sox manager Tony La Russa said that outfielder Luis Robert (wrist) was sore after swinging a bat on Tuesday and received a cortisone injection to deal with the inflammation. Robert sat out again on Wednesday against the Houston Astros, but La Russa said there's no reason for Robert to go on the injured list. The 25-year-old has missed the last five games, so it's fair to wonder if the oft-injured outfielder will require an IL stint, even if La Russa says he won't go on the list due to a left wrist sprain. We'd be surprised if Robert is back in the lineup on Thursday, but perhaps he can return to the lineup for the weekend series against the Cleveland Guardians. Robert is a must-start fantasy commodity when he's on the field.

  • Luis Robert Remains Out Against Astros

Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert (wrist) remains out of the starting lineup on Wednesday against the Houston Astros. It will be Robert's fifth straight game starting on the bench with a sprained left wrist, but fantasy managers should continue to consider him day-to-day. The 25-year-old has played well when on the field in 2022, but he's often been banged up for fantasy managers. In 82 games played, he's hitting .301/.336/.454 with 12 home runs, 56 RBI, 51 runs scored and 11 stolen bases. Adam Engel is starting in center field on Wednesday and is batting eighth against Astros left-hander Framber Valdez. Engel has some speed (11 steals), but he's also hitting just .235 with two home runs and 14 RBI in 196 at-bats this year.

  • Luis Robert Could Return Wednesday

Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert (wrist) is set to miss his fourth straight game on Tuesday due to a left wrist sprain. Prior to Tuesday's game, White Sox manager Tony La Russa gave an update on the 25-year-old, saying that Robert could play as early as Wednesday or sometime in the "next couple of days." La Russa said that Robert is feeling better and just needs to take some swings. While Robert has seen his numbers fall off from last year, he's still been extremely productive for the White Sox and fantasy managers alike. Over 82 games, he's slashed .301/.336/.454 with 12 home runs, 11 stolen bases, 56 RBI and 51 runs.

  • Luis Robert To Remain Out On Tuesday

Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert (wrist) is being held out of the starting lineup once again on Tuesday as the team takes on right-hander Justin Verlander and the Houston Astros. This will be the fourth consecutive missed game for Robert, who is dealing with a left wrist sprain. AJ Pollock is back in the leadoff spot and he'll be covering Robert's usual center field post as well.

  • Luis Robert To Miss His Third Straight Game Monday

Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert (wrist) will remain out of action for Monday's series opener against the Houston Astros. AJ Pollock will be getting the start in center field for the game. Robert sprained his left wrist during this past Friday's game against the Detroit Tigers and he hasn't been on the field since. The 25-year-old has dealt with a number of injuries throughout the year, but this one doesn't seem to be anything major. He is being considered day-to-day for now. We'll see if he can get back in there on Tuesday.

  • Luis Robert Won't Play Saturday

Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert (wrist) isn't in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Detroit Tigers. Instead, AJ Pollock will take his place, leading off and patrolling center field. Robert exited Friday's game with a sprained wrist, and although it's not ideal to see him sitting out Saturday, the good news is that he hasn't been placed on the injured list yet. The 25-year-old has made his presence felt once again this season, slashing .301/.336/.454 with 12 homers, 56 RBI, 15 walks, 65 strikeouts, and 11 stolen bases. Fantasy managers should check back on his status Sunday morning.

  • Luis Robert Sprains Wrist Friday

Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert left Friday's game against the Detroit Tigers with a sprained left wrist. Robert went for X-rays, which came back negative, and the White Sox are calling him day-to-day. The star outfielder injured himself attempting to steal a base in the game. Robert went 2-for-3 with two singles in the game before getting replaced in center field by Adam Engel. It looks like Robert won't miss much time, if any, although it wouldn't be a surprise to see him get a day off on Saturday. Robert is hitting .301 with 12 homers, 51 runs, 56 RBI, and 11 steals on the season.

  • Luis Robert Absent From Saturday's Lineup Against Texas

Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert (illness) is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the Texas Rangers. He was recently reinstated from the 10-day injured list after missing the last three weeks from a bout of light-headedness. The 25-year-old will receive a scheduled day off on Saturday. AJ Pollock is batting seventh and will handle centerfield duties on Saturday. Pollock is hitting .200 (2-for-10) with an RBI over his last five games. Fantasy managers can use Pollock as a streamer in a matchup against Rangers pitcher Dane Dunning in deep-league formats.

  • Luis Robert Remains Out Wednesday

Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert (illness) remains out of the starting lineup on Wednesday against the Kansas City Royals. Robert was reinstated from the 10-day injured list on Tuesday, but he wasn't in the lineup. He hasn't played since before the All-Star break when he was removed from the game on July 15 due to light-headedness and dizziness. Robert is hitting .301/.334/.461 on the year with 12 home runs, 54 RBI, 48 runs scored and 11 stolen bases, so he's a must-start in fantasy when he returns to the lineup. AJ Pollock is starting in center field and hitting sixth on Wednesday against Royals right-hander Brady Singer. Pollock has gone 10-for-33 (.303) with a homer and nine RBI in 11 games over the last two weeks, but overall this year he hasn't done a ton for fantasy managers.

  • Luis Robert Activated From The Injured List

Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert (head) was activated from the injured list Tuesday. He was initially expected to return later in the week but showed enough progress in his recovery to be activated on Tuesday. The 24-year-old wasn't in the starting lineup in his first game back against the Kansas City Royals. He had been terrific this season before landing on the IL, slashing .301/.334/.461 with 12 home runs, 54 RBI, 48 runs, and 11 stolen bases in 74 games. Robert's next chance to be in the lineup will be on Wednesday.

  • Luis Robert Will Miss More Time

Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert (head) is not expected to return during their series against the Kansas City Royals, according to manager Tony La Russa. He landed on the injured list roughly two weeks ago due to blurred vision lightheadedness. Robert also sat out earlier this weekend due to a cold. Now, it sounds like the 24-year-old is finally doing better. However, the organization is going to be cautious and give Robert a few more days to rehab. Fantasy managers can be hopeful that Robert returns by the end of the week.

  • Luis Robert Scratched From Rehab Game

Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert (head) has been scratched from Triple-A Charlotte's lineup Friday with cold symptoms. The young star has been dealing with light-headedness and dizziness over the past few weeks and just began his rehab assignment on Thursday. He is still scheduled to play on Saturday, so hopefully this is just a minor setback. Manager Tony La Russa also said that the earliest return date for Robert is Monday, which likely assumes he is feeling better by Saturday. The five-category contributor had finally begun to hit for power in July before his injury, slashing .328/.381/.586 with four homers in 58 at-bats. Fantasy managers should expect similar numbers for the rest of the season, assuming full health.

  • Luis Robert Starting Rehab Assignment Thursday

The Chicago White Sox announced that outfielder Luis Robert (head) will start a minor league rehab assignment for Triple-A Charlotte on Thursday night. Robert won't be ready to return from the injured list when he's eligible on Friday, but the good news is that he's ready to return to game action. The 24-year-old hasn't played since experiencing light-headedness and dizziness on July 15, but he might only need a few rehab games in the minors before he's ready to return to the White Sox's starting lineup. Robert should remain rostered in all fantasy leagues, as he's hitting a strong .301/.334/.461 with 12 home runs, 54 RBI, 48 runs scored and 11 stolen bases in 306 at-bats this year.

  • Luis Robert Unlikely To Return Friday When First Eligible

Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert (head) is unlikely to be activated from the 10-day injured list when he's first eligible on Friday. "He seems like he's improving every day, except he's still getting tested," said White Sox manager Tony La Russa. "There has been improvement, and he has been doing more baseball stuff, but other than that." The 24-year-old was pulled from the game early on July 15 after experiencing light-headedness and blurred vision. Robert remains day-to-day and is unlikely to return for this weekend's series against the Oakland Athletics. He is slashing .301/.334/.461 with 12 home runs, 54 RBI, 48 runs scored and 11 stolen bases over 74 games in 2022. Adam Engel should continue to handle center field duties while Robert is sidelined.

  • Luis Robert Goes On Injured List

Chicago White Sox general manager Rick Hahn said that outfielder Luis Robert's (illness) symptoms of light-headedness and blurred vision have not gone away and he is being put on the injured list on Friday. Robert is eligible to return at the end of next week, and the hope is that he'll be ready to return by then. The 24-year-old was pulled from the game early on July 15, and it's a bit concerning that he wasn't able to return to the lineup after the All-Star break this week. The right-handed Cuban slugger is hitting a strong .301/.334/.461 with 12 home runs, 54 RBI, 48 runs scored and 11 stolen bases on the season, so fantasy managers are hoping he'll make a speedy recovery. The good news for the White Sox is that they are getting outfielder Eloy Jimenez (leg) back in the starting lineup on Friday against Cleveland Guardians right-hander Cal Quantrill.

  • Luis Robert Out Of The Lineup Against Minnesota

Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert is not in the starting lineup on Sunday against the Minnesota Twins. Robert was removed from Friday's game early due to light-headedness and missed Saturday's game as well. The White Sox will hope whatever is ailing him is cleared up when the second half of the season starts following next week's All-Star festivities. The 24-year-old will finish the first half with a strong .301/.334/.461 slash line with 12 home runs, 54 RBI, 48 runs scored and 11 stolen bases in 306 at-bats. With Robert out again, Adam Engel will get another start in center field and will bat ninth against Twins right-hander Chris Archer. Engels does have a modest three-game hitting streak going with a homer and three RBI in eight at-bats, but he's a low-upside DFS play in the nine-hole.

  • Luis Robert Not In The Lineup Saturday

Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert is out of the starting lineup on Saturday against the Minnesota Twins after he left Friday's game early due to light-headedness. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now, but don't be surprised if we don't see him again until the start of the second half of the season on July 22 after next week's All-Star break. Robert is a must-start fantasy commodity when healthy, as he's hit .301/.334/.461 with 12 home runs, 54 RBI, 48 runs scored and 11 stolen bases on the year. Adam Engel is in center field and is batting ninth on Saturday against Twins right-hander Dylan Bundy with Robert out. Engel does have some speed with nine steals, but he'll be a low-upside DFS play in the nine-hole. He's hitting .239 on the year with two home runs in 159 at-bats.

  • Luis Robert Leaves Friday's Game Early

Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert was removed from Friday's game against the Minnesota Twins after he was feeling light-headed. Robert drew a walk and came around to score in his lone plate appearance in the contest before Adam Engel replaced him as a pinch-hitter in the second inning. All indications are that Robert will be fine, although it wouldn't be a huge surprise to see the White Sox take it easy with their star outfielder over the remainder of the weekend. Robert is hitting .301 with 12 homers, 48 runs, 54 RBI, and 11 steals in 306 at-bats this season. Look for an update from Chicago when Friday's game concludes.

  • Luis Robert Hits 11th Homer In Game 2

Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert filled the stat sheet in the 7-0 win over the Cleveland Guardians on Tuesday in Game 2 of a doubleheader. Robert went 3-for-4 with his 11th home run of the year, three RBI, a run scored and a strikeout. The 24-year-old Cuban slugger is currently red-hot at the plate, going 9-for-28 (.321) with three long balls, nine RBI and seven runs scored in seven games over the last week of play. Overall, he's now hitting a solid .290/.323/.438 with 11 round-trippers, 49 RBI, 45 runs scored and 11 stolen bases in 313 plate appearances over 71 games played. Fantasy managers need to keep Robert in their lineups at all times when he's in the lineup.

  • Luis Robert Resting For Game 1

Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert is not in the starting lineup for Game 1 of a doubleheader on Tuesday against the Cleveland Guardians. Robert will get a normal day of rest and will likely return to the starting lineup for the nightcap against Cleveland. The 24-year-old is a must-start fantasy asset when he's on the field because of his power/speed profile. He's slashing .283/.315/.423 with 10 home runs, 46 RBI, 44 runs scored and 11 stolen bases in 70 games. Adam Engel will start in center field in Game 1 and is hitting seventh against Guardians right-hander Shane Bieber. Engel has nine swipes on the year, but he's also hitting just .233 with one homer in 150 at-bats, making him a low-upside DFS option in Game 1.

  • Luis Robert Hits His Ninth Home Run On Wednesday

Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert had a big game in the team's 9-8, 10-inning win over the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday. He went 2-for-4 with a home run, a walk, two RBI and two runs scored. While Robert has a solid .289 batting average on the year, he's been struggling to produce much power. Wednesday's home run was just his ninth of the season and he's slugging just .425 across 65 games on the year. We've seen his average exit velocity dip from 91.2 mph last year to 89.1 mph this year while his ground ball rate has increased from 36.6% last year to 48.4% this year. He'll need to start making better contact and lifting the ball more in order to deliver the high-end fantasy production we know he's capable of the rest of the way.

  • Luis Robert Expected To Play Thursday

Chicago White Sox skipper Tony La Russa said that outfielder Luis Robert is dealing with leg soreness and was contemplating leaving him in for another at-bat on Wednesday before pulling him early against the Toronto Blue Jays. Robert is expected to be back in the lineup on Thursday against Baltimore Orioles right-hander Dean Kremer. The 24-year-old has been slowed by injuries before, so fantasy managers should feel thankful that his leg injury wasn't anything more serious. He came into the day hitting a strong .300/.332/.432 with seven home runs, 35 RBI, 32 runs scored and 11 stolen bases in 232 plate appearances over 52 games. Fantasy managers should have Robert back in their starting lineups on Thursday.

  • Luis Robert Exits Wednesday's Game With Potential Injury

Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert (leg) was removed late in Wednesday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays. Robert appeared to injure his leg in the sixth inning when he hit an RBI single. However, he remained in the game for a few innings prior to being removed in the eighth inning. The White Sox were down 9-2 when Robert was removed, so manager Tony La Russa may have just wanted to be extra cautious with him in a game the team was losing badly. Robert was 1-for-3 in the game prior to exiting. We should know more about the reason for his departure soon.

  • Luis Robert In Midst Of 17-Game Homer Drought

Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert has been getting on base with a good amount of regularity lately, batting .279 with a .323 OBP in June. However, he hasn't been providing much power from the plate for nearly a month now. Over his last 17 games, Robert hasn't hit a single home run and has just two doubles. He has a .311slugging percentage thus far in June. The 24-year-old has seen his average exit velocity dip from 91.2 mph last year to 89.6 mph this year, while his barrel rate has experienced a similar decrease, falling from 12.5% last year to 9.4% this year. He still maintains a strong .301 xBA (88th percentile) on the year, which suggests there's some room for growth in his current .283 batting average. However, his fantasy game will take a big hit if he's not able to improve upon his power metrics soon.

  • Luis Robert Snags His Eighth Stolen Base On Wednesday

Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert went 0-for-3 with a hit-by-pitch and a stolen base in the team's 4-1 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday. He is now 8-for-9 on stolen base attempts on the year. Injuries have held the 24-year-old phenom to 40 games on the year. He has a season-long slash line of .283/.316/.422 to go along with six home runs, 20 RBI and 22 runs. He's currently maintaining a career-low strikeout rate of 18.4%, down from 20.6% last year.

  • Luis Robert Back From COVID Injured List

The Chicago White Sox reinstated outfielder Luis Robert from the COVID-19 injured list on Tuesday and officially placed All-Star shortstop Tim Anderson (groin) on the 10-day injured list with a strained right groin in a corresponding move. Robert is expected to be back in the starting lineup on Tuesday against Toronto Blue Jays right-hander Kevin Gausman, so fantasy managers should be looking to do the same. The 24-year-old, who is hitting a strong .285/.319/.438 with six home runs, 17 RBI, 21 runs and six stolen bases through 33 games, could also hit at the top of the White Sox's order with Anderson on the shelf.

  • Luis Robert Expected To Join The Team On Tuesday

Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert (illness), who was placed on the COVID-19 injured list five days ago, should be able to rejoin on the team on Tuesday when they head to Toronto for a three-game series. White Sox manager Tony La Russa said that Robert had "made significant improvement" and should be able to make the road trip with the team. Whether the talented outfielder plays on Tuesday or not is dependent on his level of fatigue as he continues to ramp up his activity, according to James Fegan. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his progress ahead of Tuesday's series-opener.

  • White Sox Put Luis Robert On COVID List

The Chicago White Sox placed outfielder Luis Robert on the COVID-19 injured list on Tuesday and recalled infielder Jake Burger from Triple-A Charlotte in a corresponding move. Adam Engel is starting in center field on Tuesday and is batting ninth against Boston Red Sox right-hander Nick Pivetta. Engel and AJ Pollock could share center field duties for the Pale Hose until Robert returns. Robert has been a must-start fantasy asset in 2022, as he's hitting .285/.319/.438 with six home runs, 17 RBI, 21 runs scored and six stolen bases in 33 games played.
