  • Kyle Tucker Back In Lineup Against Rangers

Houston Astros outfielder Kyle Tucker (illness) is back in right field and is hitting fifth in the batting order on Tuesday against Texas Rangers left-hander Martin Perez. Tucker missed the last four games with a non-COVID illness, but fantasy managers should have him available moving forward. The 25-year-old left-handed slugger is hitting .241/.330/.448 with 19 home runs, 67 RBI, 44 runs scored and a career-high 16 stolen bases on the year in 404 plate appearances and 100 games. The first-time All-Star is a must-start in all fantasy leagues with his power/speed combination for the first-place Astros. He's struggled since the All-Star break, however, going 9-for-52 (.173) with a homer, five RBI and four runs scored in 15 games.

  • Kyle Tucker Out Again Sunday

Houston Astros outfielder Kyle Tucker (illness) remains out of the starting lineup on Sunday against the Cleveland Guardians. Tucker was originally in the lineup on Saturday but ended up being a late scratch, and now he'll miss his fourth straight game with a non-COVID-19 illness. Fantasy managers should continue to consider him day-to-day. With an off day on Monday, the 25-year-old could be ready to go on Tuesday for the series opener against the Texas Rangers. Chas McCormick is in right field and is batting sixth against Guardians right-hander Triston McKenzie. McCormick does have 11 homers in 272 plate appearances this year, but he's a mediocre DFS option with a .234 average on the year and only 29 RBI.

The 25-year-old is slashing .241/.328/.448 with 19 home runs, 67 RBI, 44 runs, and 16 stolen bases over 99 games in 2022. He is one of the most consistent hitters in baseball and 11th in league with 11 steals. Although Tucker is hitting .200 (2-for-10) over four games in August, fantasy managers can start Tucker in all league formats.

  • Kyle Tucker On The Bench Again Friday

Houston Astros outfielder Kyle Tucker (illness) remains out of the starting lineup on Friday against the Cleveland Guardians. Tucker was scratched from Thursday's lineup with an illness, and he will remain on the bench for another game. Chas McCormick is getting the start in right field and will hit seventh against Guardians right-handed rookie Hunter Gaddis, who is making his MLB debut. McCormick hasn't hit for much average this year (.236 in 265 plate appearances), but he does have 11 home runs and 29 RBI in 76 games played. In the last week, he's gone 4-for-12 (.333) with a homer, three RBI and two runs scored in five games. He'll be a mediocre low-cost DFS target hitting near the bottom of Houston's lineup Friday.

  • Kyle Tucker Scratched With Illness

Houston Astros outfielder Kyle Tucker (illness) was scratched from the starting lineup on Thursday against the Cleveland Guardians, according to the team. Aledmys Diaz will get the nod in left field and will bat fifth in the batting order against Guardians right-hander Zach Plesac. Fantasy managers should consider Tucker day-to-day and remove him from their starting lineups. Diaz isnt a bad low-cost DFS play in the matchup against Cleveland. He's hitting .349 (15-for-43) with three home runs, five RBI and eight runs scored in 12 games over the last two weeks. Overall, Diaz is hitting .256/.311/.422 with nine home runs, 26 RBI, 28 runs scored and one stolen base in 69 games played.

  • Kyle Tucker Homers, Walks Twice On Tuesday

Houston Astros outfielder Kyle Tucker had a solid day at the plate in the team's 5-3 loss to the Oakland Athletics on Tuesday. He went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and two walks in the game. Tucker now has 19 home runs, 64 RBI and 42 runs on the year to go along with 16 stolen bases and a .251/.341/.471 slash line. He's maintaining a career-best 49.2% fly ball rate, but he's unfortunately paired that with career-lows in both hard-hit rate (38.3%) and average exit velocity (89.5 mph). If he can keep his fly ball rate intact while tapping into last year's hard contact metrics (47.5% hard-hit rate, 91.4 mph average exit velocity), he could be in for a strong finish to the 2022 season.

  • Kyle Tucker Homers Sunday

Houston Astros outfielder Kyle Tucker finished his first half with a home run Sunday, going 2-for-4 with a solo shot in a 4-3 loss to the lowly Oakland Athletics. Tucker now has 18 long balls on the year to go with his .819 OPS, 40 runs scored, 62 RBI, and 15 steals in 344 plate appearances. He's among the most well-rounded fantasy hitters in the league, and he is poised to make a run at a 30-30 season with a strong second half.

  • Kyle Tucker Sitting Against Lefty

Houston Astros outfielder Kyle Tucker will take a seat on Thursday against Kansas City Royals left-hander Kris Bubic. It's a normal day of rest for Tucker against a southpaw, and it will be his first day off since June 1. Fantasy managers need to make sure to remove him from their daily lineups. Tucker got off to a slow start this year but has rebounded nicely and is hitting .262/.352/.487 overall with an .839 OPS, 16 home runs, 12 doubles, 57 RBI, 37 runs scored and 14 stolen bases in 307 plate appearances and 76 games. Chas McCormick is getting the start in right field on Thursday and is batting eighth against Bubic. McCormick does have eight home runs on the season, but he's also hitting only .229 in 170 at-bats, and he'll be a low-upside DFS option at the bottom of Houston's batting order.

  • Kyle Tucker Goes 2-For-4 In Wednesday's Loss

Houston Astros outfielder Kyle Tucker went 2-for-4 with a pair of singles, an RBI and a run scored in the team's 7-4 loss to the Kansas City Royals on Wednesday. The 25-year-old is off to a hot start to the month of July. This was his third multi-hit game already this month. Over six July games, he's gone 8-for-23 with a home run and just one strikeout. While Tucker certainly hasn't delivered on his lofty expectations going into the year, he's still remained productive throughout the bulk of the season. He owns a season-long slash line of .262/.352/.487 to go along with 16 home runs, 57 RBI and 37 runs.

  • Kyle Tucker Goes Hitless In Loss To Yankees

Houston Astros outfielder Kyle Tucker couldn't get anything going at the plate in the team's 10-inning, 6-3 loss to the New York Yankees on Sunday. He went 0-for-5 in the game with two strikeouts. The 24-year-old is currently in the midst of his best month of the year. Through 22 June games, he's slashing .284/.376/.568 with six home runs, four stolen bases, 19 RBI and 12 runs. He has an eye-popping .673 xSLG across the month, up substantially from his .458 xSLG in May. Thanks to his productive June, his season-long numbers are now looking a lot more Tucker-esque as he's hitting .254/.349/.483 with 14 home runs, 13 stolen bases, 48 RBI and 29 runs.

  • Kyle Tucker Slashing .327/.421/.612 In June

Houston Astros outfielder Kyle Tucker has been red-hot at the plate so far in June. Across 13 games this month, he's slashing .327/.421/.612 with four home runs, two stolen bases, 10 RBI and seven runs. He's recorded at least one hit in each of his 13 games this month. This recent hot streak has been especially encouraging to fantasy managers due to the fact that Tucker was a bit underwhelming over the first two months of the year. Before the calendar flipped to June, he had an uninspiring .239/.335/.439 slash line on the season. The 25-year-old certainly appeared due for some positive regression, as he has a .303 xBA and a .564 xSLG on the year.

  • Kyle Tucker Extends Hitting Streak To Eight Games

Houston Astros outfielder Kyle Tucker went 1-for-3 with a walk and an RBI in the team's 6-3 loss to the Seattle Mariners on Wednesday. He has now recorded at least one hit in each of his last eight games. Tucker has a gaudy .400/.516/.680 slash line through the first week of June. He's hit two home runs and walked six times over his first seven games of the month. The 25-year-old has had a strong year overall thus far. He's compiled 10 home runs, 10 stolen bases, 34 RBI and 21 runs over 52 games. He ranks in the 96th percentile of the league in xwOBA (.411) and in the 94th percentile in walk rate (13.8%).

  • Kyle Tucker Returns To Lineup In Two-Hole

Houston Astros outfielder Kyle Tucker (foot) is back in right field and is hitting second on Wednesday against Oakland Athletics left-hander Cole Irvin. Tucker hadn't played since leaving Saturday's game against the Seattle Mariners with a foot injury that didn't have any structural damage. Overall, Tucker has hit just .239 (37-for-155), but he does have eight home runs, 29 RBI, 17 runs scored and nine stolen bases in 179 plate appearances, and he remains an intriguing fantasy asset because of his power/speed profile. He's hit just .192 (9-for-47) with one of his eight home runs against left-handed pitchers, though, so those in DFS may want to stay away from Tucker in his return to the lineup.

  • Jose Altuve Back At 2B, Kyle Tucker Still Out

Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve (head) cleared the league's concussion protocol and is back at second base and is hitting leadoff on Tuesday against Oakland Athletics right-hander Frankie Montas. Meanwhile, outfielder Kyle Tucker (foot) will miss his third straight game after leaving Saturday's game with left foot pain. Altuve is hitting .350 with two home runs, three RBI and six runs in the last 10 games and needs to be returned to all fantasy lineups. Tucker did some running in the outfield before the game and should be available off the bench. The 25-year-old isn't dealing with any structural damage, so he should be able to avoid a stint on the injured list. Chas McCormick is getting another start in right field and is batting eighth against Montas on Tuesday night.

  • Kyle Tucker Avoids Serious Injury

Houston Astros outfielder Kyle Tucker (foot) will be held out of Monday's game against the Oakland Athletics. He hasn't played in a game since suffering a left foot injury during Saturday's game. Luckily, manager Dusty Baker mentioned that the MRI has revealed no structural damage. That means, Tucker should be considered day-to-day, so he could miss a few more games. However, it sounds like Tucker will avoid a trip to the injured list, which is great news for fantasy managers.

  • Kyle Tucker Still Out Monday

Houston Astros outfielder Kyle Tucker (foot) remains out of the starting lineup on Monday against the Oakland Athletics. Tucker was removed from the game early on Saturday against the Seattle Mariners with left foot pain and hasn't played since. The Astros don't think he'll need to go on the injured list, so fantasy managers could have him back as early as Tuesday. The 25-year-old left-handed slugger is hitting .239/.335/.439 with eight home runs, 29 RBI, 17 runs scored and nine stolen bases in 155 at-bats for the 'Stros this year. His power-speed combination makes him a must-start fantasy asset. Chas McCormick is in right field and is hitting seventh on Monday against A's right-hander Paul Blackburn. McCormick does have four homers in 36 games this year, but he's hitting just .218 in 130 plate appearances.

  • Kyle Tucker Sitting Out On Sunday

Houston Astros outfielder Kyle Tucker (foot) is absent from the Astros lineup on Sunday against the Seattle Mariners. The 25-year-old outfielder exited Saturday's contest early with a sore left foot and should be considered day-to-day. Jose Siri is starting in right field and batting eighth in his place. Tucker is slashing .239/.335/.439 with eight home runs, 29 RBI, and nine stolen bases across 155 at-bats. Fantasy managers should expect to receive an update on his status prior to Monday's game against the Oakland Athletics.

Houston Astros outfielder Kyle Tucker (foot) left the game early on Saturday against the Seattle Mariners with left foot discomfort, according to manager Dusty Baker. The Astros are listing Tucker as day-to-day for now, and there's a good chance he won't be in the lineup on Sunday against Seattle. The 25-year-old went 1-for-2 in the game before leaving, and he's now hitting .239/.335/.439 with eight home runs, 29 RBI, 17 runs scored and nine stolen bases in 45 games this season. Fantasy managers will need to check Houston's starting lineup later to see if Tucker is back in the there.

Pena, meanwhile, has been lights-out so far in his rookie season, slashing .293/.347/.504 with an .851 OPS, seven home runs, 22 RBI, 21 runs scored and three stolen bases in 38 games played. Tucker was underwhelming at the plate in April as he slashed just .224/.277/.408 across the month. However, he's been turning things around in May as he's slashing .257/.389/.486 so far this month, good for an OPS of .875. He has eight home runs, 29 RBI and 17 runs over 43 games on the year.

The 25-year-old started off the season slowly but is now slashing .252/.351/.472 with seven HR, 25 RBI, and eight stolen bases. He may not be returning the level of value fantasy managers had hoped for given where they drafted him, but he is definitely heating up and should be in their lineups at all times.

  • Astros Have Discussed Extension With Kyle Tucker

The Houston Astros recently spoke with outfielder Kyle Tucker's camp about a contract extension, but the two sides couldn't come to a deal and are no longer engaged, according to sources. He's been much better in the month of May, hitting .310/.482/.500 with a .982 OPS, one home run, four RBI and six stolen bases in just 13 games.
